Yes, Dante did get an awesomely awesome shot of Grayson and Head Girl. It just might not be magical because Dante might not have time for the spell. This was more fun. What now someone was going to so the same thing to him...Pretty cool. "Alright. Best Slytherins rock' face." Dante crossed his arms and widen his legs and looked at the camera all serious.

What!

Talk about an awesome picture that will be.

Oh he only had an evil smile. He was alright with that. "So is it a good evil smile?" Dante said smiling. He tried his best to give her the i am innocent of any trouble smile and hoped it came out awesome. "Alright. and please any photo of Dima will be good. It is Dima"

Even a bad photo of him is a good photo. He had that magic.

Once he'd charmed this picture, Toby would technically have done enough to receive full credit in the class. But it wasn't really full credit that he was after, it was to be able to learn how to use the spell. Maybe he'd just keep trying until he could do the spell perfectly. Yeah, then he'd have something to focus on. Good plan.

After another moment or two of looking around the classroom, and then one more of looking back out the open window, Toby got down to business.

"Alacer," he said clearly, tapping the photograph right in the middle and willing it to start moving.

Please.

Please.

Please.

Nothing. Soooooooooo Toby tried again.

"Alacer." Tap.

................. Nothing.

"Alacer!" Whack TAP!

That last one seemed to do it, though in his frustration exuberance, Toby saw the corners of the photograph smoke eeeeeeeeeeeeeeever so slightly. He squinted down at them, waiting to see if anything would come of it, but nope... everything was a-okay. With the crisis averted, Toby looked back at the actual content of the photo, noting how it moved more or less exactly the way the other one did, but this time with Fuller as the subject.

Huh. This was kind of proving to be a little more difficult than he'd expected. It wouldn't hurt to have another go, just for practice, right? Right.

"Definitely." Mitchell said with a nod. Like he needed an excuse to take pictures of his lovely girlfriend. Getting credit was just a bonus.

"I'll get the camera." he said getting up and going to get a camera. He returned and held the camera up to his eye and aimed at the blonde.

"Smile, Goldilocks." he said with a grin.

Marigold BEAMED at the flash, then went back to looking at her camera. "My turn." Angling the lens up at Mitch, she smiled and clicked to take the picture without telling him she was ready or taking it or anything.

Cue mischievous giggle.

She also snapped a picture of the classroom as a whole, with the flashes going off and everything, because she thought it would look cool.

Everyone else seemed to have got ahead of themselves and were already running around the classroom taking photos of eachother before even bothering to practice. She had decided to completely ignore them. People put her off her concentration and with the other weirdos infecting the classroom, Layla really didn't want to fall behind even more so than she already had.

She had left her desk to go grab herself a camera before everyone else nicked them. She didn't trust the kids to have not stolen more than one considering they were allowed to keep them afterwards. Once she had collected her own she headed back over to her desk where she continued to practice, mostly because she didn't want to get it wrong.

"Alacur" she spoke again tapping an empty spot on her table like they were instructed. Although she never really tried in school, the fifteen-year-old understood that she had exams this year, really important exams. Exams she would probably never use again in her life if she reverted straight back to muggledom but exams nonetheless.

The blonde audibly sighed before glancing around for a subject to photograph..

Apparently, capturing horrifying photographs was one of Dima's specialties. The kid had quite a few of various spots on Dot's face that would make for quite... interesting moving pictures. Even scenes MORE intriguing than picking her nose,which was hard to believe, but it was obvious once you actually looked at his masterpieces.

"I don't need a nose picking one! I got my two already." He proudly displayed two if his favorite printed images, one displaying Dot's tongue lolling out of her mouth and another of her freckled nose scrunched up like a screw. Beautiful, right? Beaming, Dima then cooperatively posed for HIS photo shoot, rewarding her camera with a very Grayson-esque hairflip.

Now... for the spell? How did you say it again? "Ah-LAY-sur." And a tap? Got that down pat. Casting tiiime.

Mitchell smiled. His girlfriend looked so pretty. Yes she did.

And now she wanted to take a picture. Cool. He could...

... or she could just take the picture without warning him. Good thing the picture moved. He probably looked awkward still-frame wise.

He quickly snapped a picture of her taking a picture of whatever she was taking a picture of. Without warning. Payback.

"Ready for the next part?"

"Thanks, Angel,'' Adi said collecting his photos and camera. He glanced at the photos. "We make one heck of a couple, don't we?'' he joked with AJ. They did look good together. But there was one person Adi wanted a picture of.

"Nu uh, Angel. Benny has to have a picture with me first.'' Adi didn't care whatever the reason the two had become distant. He was going to go on like nothing happened. It was up to his bestie to decide if they'd be the buddies they once were. The Puffer raised his camera and snapped a picture of Benny. At least he had one of the Lion if things didn't work out between them now.

The produced, normal photo in hand, Benny laid it on a nearby table to try out the charm on it. He slipped his wand loose from his pocket and visualized what the professor had shown them as well as the moving scene he had tried to capture and if all went well, would duplicate. "Alacer," he cast, pointing and tapping the developed photo right in the middle of the image. As he watched the spell take effect, it seemed as if it had worked fairly well though not perfectly. There was a static aspect here and there that didn't switch over to magical.

Boo.

He couldn't be all too unhappy about the outcome though. Angel's voice cut through the unhappiness only to switch his mood to one of embarrassment. Ben turned to her with a look of shock and uneasiness before sighing. Somehow he didn't doubt that her threat was loaded. Besides he kinda did want a photo with her. He raised his camera to try and hide, sneaking a picture of his girlfriend.

Click.

But before he could relent and give her a shot of them together Adi spoke up requesting one of the two of them. Another surprise. "Um...if you want," he mused just as the Hufflepuff took a picture of him alone. Make that three surprises.

Ian smiled back at her. As she laid the photo on the desk he looked down at it. He looked rather goofy in the image, but at least he didn't look miserable and sad. She said it was a nice picture and he grinned back at her. Thanks. It must have been a fine photographer. I can't imagine I made it look better. He watched as she set to putting life to the image. It was pretty cool to watch and as his mug came to life, he got a little bit of a laugh watching him put on half a smile as he said cheese. He hoped they would get rid of those pictures at the end of class. He certainly didn't need to remember himself looking and sounding foolish. He clapped as she struck a pose of victory. Bravo, Norah. Excellent job! He was pretty pleased that she seemed so happy. He put his finger up and motioned that he'd go and get his own camera.

Ian returned, holding his up. Ready? He hoped that she would be excited to have her photo taken. Of course, most girls were. Say Helga Hufflepuff!

It was lucky that Dot didn't mind looking horrible in Dima's pictures, because he was definitely not catching any of her good side. Did she have a good side? Didn't everyone? She went still long enough to study the pictures Dima had been taking, looking over each one as it developed. Oh. The freckles. So many of the freckles.

Those went on the floor.

Then she put her camera to her face and tried to take some good pictures of Dima while he worked. He made a really good concentrating face, and he looked super impressive brandishing his wand like that. And... and... he didn't look stupid at all. "Stop doing it right and make some faces for me. You're being too 'tractive and I hate it."

Benny agreed? Had Adi heard right? Whatever. That sounded like a 'yes' to him. The point as, there was one cheerful Huffpeluff in the room. "Awesome,'' he said as he handed his camera over to AJ this time.

"A picture of me and Benny, please.'' Now standing beside his best friend, the fourth year opted for a sensible pose. Er...maybe he'd just stand here next to the Dragon, look casual and awesome with the Sign of the Horns again. Yeah. That'll work. Hehe.

Norah grinned back at Ian one more time, just for good measure, and thought for a moment about how she should pose for this picture. She wondered what would happen if she jumped while he took it, so she figured she'd give it a shot. Springing into the air, the second year thew her hands into the air and exclaimed, "Helga Hufflepuff!" just as instructed.

She landed back on the ground and brushed a few curls from her face before reaching for her own camera. Before Ian would notice, she snapped a quick picture of him when he wasn't looking. Candid shots were always better, right? She bounced impatiently, waiting for both of their pictures to come out. "I can't wait to see how they turn out!"

Could charms always be this EXCITING?

The pictures were great. AJ beamed as she looked at them. "There isn't a couple out there that looks better than us." Or was cooler than them. Adi and AJ were the total package. "Thanks, Angel," she echoed.

"My turn. Hey, Adi." Without warning AJ snapped a picture of the boyfriend. When the picture came out she shot him a grin. "Nice candid." He looked good whether he was posing or not.

She really needed to see if she could get the picture to move. Why not give it a go now? "Alacer," she said while tapping the picture. Nothing. Ahem. Maybe she wasn't clear enough.

"Alacer." This time it worked. Her picture of Adi was moving. "This is sooooo cool." AJ wanted all of her pictured from now on to move.

The besties were all good now? This was great news. "Okay." The lion grabbed the camera from Adi. "Say unicorns." Did they expect anything less than that from her? Click went the camera. The picture shot out. "Looking good, guys."

Ian smiled as she jumped while he held the button down, looking through the viewfinder part. He was excited to see how this would turn out. He'd never had the chance to take pictures of his classmates. His mobile phone wouldn't work here, except in the technology center and so he couldn't take pictures using his phone. When the photo was done taking and being spit out of the camera, he set it on the desk, waiting for the image to present itself. He saw her, looking cute as her hair framed her face and curls bounced up. He took out his wand and performed the wand motion as he said Alacer! He watched and clapped his hand excitedly as the picture began to take shape. She was very clearly jumping and saying the name of their house founder. He looked at her excitedly and grinned like he'd caught a prize winning fish. It worked! He picked up the picture and showed it to her. It was then he noticed a second picture of himself. This one was less goofy looking as he was serious about developing her picture. That one is rather nice. You are doing very well at this moving portrait thing.

He was very industrious about picking up the freckle pictures off the floor, choosing the one that seemed like it had the MOST dots to animate. It would look the coolest, right?

Dima liked her freckles anyway.

Taking a shaky breath, the second year raised his wand to the picture of a scrunchy-nosed Dot, tapping its center gently. "Al-lacer!" His voice was a bit hesitant, and because of the small break in his fluency, nothing happened. He murmured the spell under his breath a few times before tapping the photograph in another attempt. "Alacer!"

This time, when Dima looked at the photo, it was clearly animated. The image depicted Dot screwing her nose up like she'd smelled something bad, much like a bunny. He was quite fond of it, and PROUD of himself for doing it right. Because, in all honesty, that rarely happened with him. And as for attractiveness...

"Attractive? M'not attractive." But he cocked a hip and threw his arm up in the air for a total diva pose anyway. JUST for her.

Kace beamed when Bay said he wanted to work with him. "Great dude!" He got his camera all set up but then he heard Bay's suggestion, well mostly his comment and he smiled. "Well if you say soo.." he flipped his non existent long hair and went over to model. He went over to the middle where they were away from people. He wondered what poses he wanted him to do. "What poses do you want from me? Do you want me to do silly? serious? normal?" I mean it was all up to the photographer right?

Toby's focus had drifted from the classroom to the view out the window, as it had the tendency to do when he was in any lesson whatsoever. At least this time he was more or less being on task, because Toby was merely trying to decide on a good shot for an extra picture.

Deciding that the view of the outside, with the tops of the trees swaying in the distance and the darkish clouds moving and the od bird flying across the sky, Toby picked up the camera again and aimed it out the window. Once 'click!' later and he was pulling the resulting photograph from the front of it and laying it on the desk.

It would have made a nice picture anyway, Toby though. Without needing to animate it or anything. But it would look super cool and kinda pretty if he moved, even just a little. Maybe that little bird he'd managed to snap would fly clear across the photo; how cool would that be?

Exchanging the camera for his wand, Toby sat up a little straighter and readied himself for the spell. Okay, he could totally do this.

"Alacer." Tap.

Because there wasn't much going on in the picture, Toby had to lean riiiiiight in to see if it had worked. And... hm. Nothing. Well, that was no surprise, so he tried again.

"Alacer!" TAP!

He SOUNDED like he was getting more frustrated with the spell, but in actual fact Tobias was simply becoming more and more INTO what he was doing, so it was almost like he wasn't even in the classroom anymore. Awareness of those around him was dimishing, so he was simply really going for it.

But yeah, no, it still hadn't worked. Third time's a charm? And then maybe he'd have another go.

"ALAcer!" TAP!

Something at SOME point in the process of the spell went wrong. Perhaps he'd been a little too intense and the wand was protesting, or perhaps he'd had a weird muscle spasm. Either way, immediately after Toby had cast the charm, his hand had flung back up and his wand shot straight out of his hand. Toby watched with wide eyes as it flew, spinning, in a wide arc across the classroom. Thankfully, it didn't hit anyone, and instead smacked into the wall on the opposite side of the room.

Toby sat there for moment, staring after it, suddenly very aware of his presence in the classroom and how not-invisible he was. Welp. WELP. Without even really thinking about it, instead of getting up and retrieving his wand, Toby slunk down down dowwwwnnnnnn in his chair until he was eventually sat on the floor under the desk. He would just stay right here until the activity was OVER.

But, though he'd not taken the time to notice, Toby's third picture lay on his desk, totally animated. The charm had, at least, worked.

Silly bestie are silly. Giggling wildly, Cinna took her wand out. She was ready to see it move. Hehe moving pictures were always better than those boring muggle not moving pictures. "Alacer." Tap. Success. Look at those goofy butts. They must be besties. They were moving in the photo. Cool. She was proud of herself. What else could she take a picture of?

Ohhh serious pose now?

Superstar! Work it, baby. Work it, baby. Model pose. She watched as Lux snapped the photo. She peeked over at the photo as Lux grabbed it from the Camera. Wow. They looked almost like real models. Hehe "Dangggg, Lux we look hot!" Hehe she should make copies and pass them out. She bet the moving ones looked even hotter. She would let Lux practice on this photo. She took it she should charm it.

DID HE JUST TAKE A PICTURE OF MARIGOLD TAKING A PICTURE?

Marigold knew that it was kind of payback, ish, but she just hoped that she wasn't, like, doubling her chin in that picture or anything. She nodded that she was ready to move on, then picked up her wand again.

"It's alacer, right? A-lay-sur." More practice made perfecter.

Cinna was animating the first photo, and it looked amazing. They were so silly and Lux giggled as she watched them making their silly faces. They were so cool. "My turn to animate!" Tapping the model picture in the middle she said, Alacer." Hehe. Now they were moving in that picture too. "We look even hotter now!"

She was loving this and was ready to take another picture. Looking around the room, she smiled when she spotted Bay. He was the one she had been wanting to take her second picture of. It wasn't creepy when he was her boyfriend. Giggling, she pushed the button and grabbed the photo as it came out of the camera.

"Ah-LAY-sur.." Repeating it once again as she tried to get it comfortable in her lips & from the looks of it, she was feeling rather comfortable saying it. Now perhaps she should try to figure out how to work this camera? She certainly hadn't the slightest idea how they actually worked, although she'd seen them & read about them multiple times, but she'd never actually had the opportunity to work one herself.

Perhaps she should ask the Professor how to work the camera?

Josie jumped at the sound of someone speaking to her & her blue eyes scanned around briefly before she saw that girl who was sitting by the Bewildered Boris statue was the one who had been extending the invite to partner up towards Josie? She looked at her camera nervously & then back at the girl. She paused momentarily before nodding quickly to the older girl. Josie collected her camera she made her over to the older girl's table area. "H-Hi..."

....

"D-Do you have any i-idea how to..work a c-camera?"

As everyone around him worked, laughed, talked, and took pictures, Kyroh remained silent. Staring straight ahead, and breathing deeply he slowly sank down even more into his seat.

And farther.

And farther until the second year had slipped out and was lying on his back facing the bottom of the desk.

There was a lot of gum under there.

Wiggling away from the desk, he stood up and drew his wand. Alacer. Alacer. "Al-ac-er." The incantation came out no louder than a whisper, and he was more than positive that he had said it wrong. "Ah-lay-sur." He repeated, just as quiet but more sure of himself this time. He paused, eyes flickering to Dima and Dot who where with Dante, and then to Maddie who was with Jasmine. "Alacer. Alacer. Alacer." The repetition came quickly, and naturally until the words began to merge together, but they never grew louder than a whisper.

Sapphire couldn't stop the excited throb in her chest ever since she got into the classroom. Finally, her favourite subject! She had been reading her Charms book all summer, plus the other books her Mom used to read when she was at Hogwarts. She may not be great at her other classes so far, but she felt Charms would go more smoothly for her.

"No messes. No explosions. No seeing nothing in a crystal ball," she thought determinedly.

At the mention of the spell, Sapphire began enunciating just as Professor Fuller had said the incantation. "Alacer!" she said a few times.

Now she had two pictures to animate. Brooklyn was still reserving the option to take more if she wanted, but for now she was fine with the two. It was time to practice the spell, and for a moment she forgot what the spell was in the first place. Listening to the people around her hadn’t helped much, as not all of them were saying the same thing. She’d just have to remember on her own, since she wasn’t about to ask anyone for help when she didn’t need it. She had this. She just had to remember, or refer to the notes she had tried to take. She was blaming the annoyance of almost being ignored for why she couldn’t think of it in the first place. It was the distractions’ fault. She wasn’t stupid, and she had paid attention to the professor. Out of anyone, she would have paid attention to him, just because she needed him on her side. Although she could have asked Ethan if she could find him too. The prefect was almost as good as a professor.

Luckily, her notes worked just as well. Alacer, she thought, nodding a little and blowing a stray hair out of her face. “Ah-lay-sur,” she sounded out. She couldn’t figure out why it didn’t sound like it was spelled, but that wasn’t important enough to ask about. It was just silly. Spells were silly sometimes. Useful too, and she glanced at her two pictures. She was definitely trying it out on the second one first, in case something went wrong. She wasn’t going to ruin her selfie. After repeating the charm a few times to herself, she took her wand out. Pointing it at the picture of the Ravenclaws she had taken, she said the charm one last time. “Alacer.” She just hoped that the image started moving like the professor’s had, and nothing else happened.
