"uruz uruz uruz...u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u" He didn't stop his chanting, and the Hammer lifted from the ground.
WHOA! this Hammer wasn't so bad now. He held the hammer above his head and pulled it back ready to smash the Metal Box in two, when something crossed his mind! What if there were toy snakes in the box rigged to jump at you when you smashed it! This thought made his concentration falter and the Gandr stick lost it's glow! The Hammer became extremely heavy again and before it could take him down with it Oakey dropped the hammer from his grasp. The Super Heavy Hammer hit his desk behind him!

Oakey turned around in pure shock as he heard the loud crash and the sound of wood snapping. MERLIN'S SWEATY ARMPITS! He just totaled the school desk, and underneath the hammer was his school bag! "No, nonononononono!" Oakey yelped as he dropped to his knee's and attempted to pull his things out from under the hammer! "My Books! MY COMICS!" All of his things smashed under a fake Mjolnir! Somebody call the Healer!

... was that Uruz galdr chanting? No, Botros was sure it was wailing. He turned his head around to find the very soon-to-be-ancient-runes-star boy on his knees in a dramatic position.

With a broken desk next to him.

And desk number two was broken in half as well. No dramatic wailing whatsoever from the little girl. That was ironic.

Very calmly, Botros lifted himself off the desk and walked toward the boy, first, before he.. did something crazy. Teenagers. "Come on now, boy." The old man bent and tried to lift the Hufflepuff off the floor by grabbing his elbow. "We'll get you new books and comics. Let's look at the bigger picture, you half-lifted a Thor hammer." Now Ab was remembering his five year-old granddaughter when she loses her teddy bear. Weird.

The professor gently grabbed the runic wand from the boy's hand, and started chanting the galdr quietly. Gradually the runes started to glow, until it was visible enough. Easily he took the hammer off the desk and put it back on the floor, in front of the metal box. "Have another go at it, we'll clean this when class is over."

He went toward the Hufflepuff girl and smiled at her, "Don't worry about the desk, dear. As long as you don't drop it on your foot." Which was next to impossible since the hammer is too heavy to hit a near object. "Give it another try." He moved to the side and waited for them to do it correctly this time.

He looked around the humming class, "Do you think what Captain Gryffindor here is suggesting - that we can have ink scripts or tattoos on our bodies of Uruz and have its magical power engulfing us at all times, possible?" Hammer lifting? That was pretty legit, even if it was a hammer that was too heavy to be lifted by mere third years. But then why make it? Why make a hammer that was too heavy to lift? Why make... dozens of them, so everyone in the class could struggle with it? HMM?

Questions. Mo had them.

He chanted along with the professor as he made his way up to the front of the room to retrieve his Galdr. It was sort of like cheering for a Quidditch team, what with the redundancy and his desire to pump his arms in the air. "Uruz uruz uruz... ra ra ra!" Nope... don't add stuff. No ra-ing. "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u." HOOHOOHOOHOO.

Mo wrapped his hands around the top Galdr in the basket and brandished it in the air as he made his way back to his seat. Did they get to keep them? Did they get to... well. He jabbed the Galdr a bit at other students as he passed before dropping into his seat to better examine his hammer.

All Sierra remembered was the professor's wave of his wand, and then all of the sudden there was a hammer and a metal box on her desk. She stared at both, suddenly feeling like she was in ancient times and might just look up to see Thor himself staring her in the face. Then she glanced up at the professor. Break the metal box into two halves?! She looked at him like this seemed completely impossible.

Merlin!

She grabbed the handle on the hammer and pulled up, nearly breaking her arm in the process. Okay, yeah...that was impossible. O_o Right, so she needed one of those wands now. Ancient Runes had gotten easier for a while, but...it was sudden;t more difficult now! She was suddenly glad she was graduating this year. Reaching the professor, she selected a wand from the box.

...and now for the chant.

"uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

...

"uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

Again...

"uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

Okay, that was enough.

Jory knew for sure he won't be able to lift the hammer. How often had he seen that on TV? Anyway, he still leant down and made an attempt. "Up we go!'' he thought, cheerfully. Using as much strength as he could he tried to lift the hammer. Not surprised, he grinned. "I need a wand.'' He got up and while he walked he chanted. "Uruz...uruz...uruz... u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u u.''

BLINK. BLINK. STARE.

That was a lot of words.

And he didn't seem to understand a lot of what the Runes Man was talking about. He did say something about a wand and how it wasn't as great as the magical wands each of them had. Alec couldn't help but grin at this. In short, that meant that magical wands were AWESOME, right?

RIGHT.

Alec sat in his seat, listening to what the Professor had to say about... runes and things. Really, he was trying to pay attention but... it was a little hard. His mind and eyes kept wandering over towards a certain person until-

GOLD? SNITCH? WHERE?

He sat up and blinked a couple of times at the Professor. Okay... now he was talking about the rune and OH! Alec looked down at the pile next to his desk. So THAT'S what those were for! OH HEY THEY WERE GETTING THOR'S HAMMER? Replica or not, that was awesome! At the Professor's words, Alec took hold of the hammer by his desk and, with a grunt or two, lifted it up. It was HEAVY but... THOR'S. Replica HAMMER. THOR. HE WAS THOR. AWESOME.

... Could you tell he was excited?

Alec set the hammer back down again and grinned some more. Chant time, yeah? That was the next step, right? What was it again? URUZ? Like OOR OOZE? Yeah, that. "Uruz... uruz... uruz... u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..." ... Right? Yes? No?

Okay.

... NEXT. Walk and chant? Yeah. The fourth year got up from his seat and walked on over towards the front, still chanting out loud. He quickly picked one up and left, examining the wooden wand in his hand as he left. It looked weird. Yeah... and all these runic symbols? They just looked like funny shaped letters to this Hufflepuff.

Reaching his seat, Alec looked between the Gandr, the hammer and the box. Breaking a box seemed hard! Unless it was tiny and wooden and you could just stomp on it to break it. But this wasn't tiny at all! GULP.

Even as he was struggling over trying to lift the handle of the hammer just a bit on his own, Mo heard the question that Queen Alice put to the professor, as well as the question the professor put back to them. Tattoos as a way to make use of runes, hmm? That was a genius idea, although Queen Alice would be way less pretty if she was covered in tattoos. Maybe he should tell her that?

"I think it's sort of possible, Professor. That's a historical way that runes were used in the past, wasn't it? Maybe not constantly engulfed, because then you'd go around snapping people in half whenever you hugged them and breaking furniture." Ahem. Like his classmates.

Ahem ahem. "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u," he informed the professor with a polite nod, as a sort of punctuation to his answer before returning his attention to the hammer. So then, hammer. WE MEET AGAIN. FOR THE FIRST TIME.

What if he used all his weight to move the hammer? Set up a sort of lever, positioned the fulcrum far enough away... he could probably move the hammer a little on his own, right? But what to use as the lever? The leg of one of the broken desks, perhaps.

"Can I have your leg, please?" He leaned across the way to look at Gryffindor girl-of-the-broken-desk. What was her name? "Chair leg, I mean."

So...this whole broken desk thing? NOT awkward at all or anything...Nope. The blonde just casually shuffled her feet so that the little particles of desk kind of like disappeared a bit under her bag. Yup, nothing to see here people, not at all. WHISTLE.

The fifteen year old's eyes widened a bit when she noticed Oakey had broken his desk too and maybe his foot. Erm...was this whole breaking desks thing a badger bonding experience or something? Blink. The blonde shot the boy a sheepish look before looking down at her own mess of a desk again. That's when the Professor headed over in her direction.

So...he was smiling! SMILING! This was SUCH a good sign and Ella instantly wanted to hug the man for not making her sit on his desk. Was it acceptable to hug one's rune professor? ...Probably not. Instead the blonde badger smiled back and nodded her head. "Okay Professor, I'll be more careful next time." And stuck out her pinky towards the man, wiggling it around. "I promise."

...Yeah cause doing a pinky promise with your professor was TOTALLY acceptable.

Anywhoo...back to breaking this box!

Ella grasped the runic wand and hammer again, doing her best to ignore the broken desk thing. Alright, on with the chanting! "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." Right..a little louder now. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." Come on you wand, do your glow-y thing. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." GLOWING! Yessss! "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

Continuing on with her chanting loudly and consistently, the blonde slowly but surely began to raise the hammer. Inch by inch she picked it up into the air and maneuvered it so that it was raised right over the box. Chant. Raise. Chant. Raise. Chant. Raise. ...And then she stopped chanting, letting the hammer get the drop on the box.


KABOOOOOOM!

...Okay, it didn't really make that sound but the box did crack open! The blonde sort of squeaked again and BEAMED! Did anyone see that? Ella was SO as awesome as Thor! Anywhoo...she reached inside the wreck of a box which rested on top of her wreck of a desk and pulled out the wooden box. Hmmm...

Opening that, the blonde pulled out the necklace inside and smiled a little.


Ohhh a shinyyyy!


And some dude wanted her chair leg? "Sure yeah, go for it." BEAM!

Professor Botros came and... How did he even DO that????

Sophie watched him with wide eyes as he did it all as if it couldn't be simpler. How... but that... it was just...

Stare.

It would all be a lot easier if Sophie didn't find that chant so funny. But all she needed to do was... to concentrate. Yeah, she could do that. Or not. Everyone was being so dang funny at the moment! And she really wished she could use her own wand. "How come it doesn't work with a regular spell?" Or did it and they were just all being ultra mega silly right now?

She started turning that different wand in her hands and observed all the details. It was rather interesting, she had to admit.

Uruz uruz uruz..... u u u u u u u u u u r r r r r r r r u u u u u u..... u u u u u...

GIGGLE.

Back at his seat with the wand, Jory continued his practice chanting. “Uruz uruz uruz...u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u u” He repeated it until he was sure he had gotten it right. Good, now to attempt to pick up that hammer again.

He held the wand with both hands and grabbed the hammer's handle. “Uruz uruz uruz...u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u u.” The wand began to glow faintly. The Puff put more energy into the chanting and he was delighted to see it glowing more brightly. Gripping both the wand and the hammer tightly, he continued chanting and lifted the hammer. It was rising! About a quarter way up, it crashed down though almost pulling Jory with it. He had absent mindedly stopped chanting.

Taylor decided not to try to lift it without using the rune wand thingy again since it hurted her hand from her tight grip. Instead, she took the rune wand with both hands and also gripped the hammer. Tay made sure that her grip was perfect as she started to chant, "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..." The rune started to glow a little. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." The rune started to grow each time she chanted. Tay smiled and continued to chant, "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." as she pulled up on the hammer. The hammer wouldn't budge any and she pouted but continued to chant as the rune started to glow even more. Finally, the hammer moved... but it was rapid and she was caught off balance, causing her to fall onto her bottom. As she fell, Taylor stopped chanting with caused the hammer to fall automatically which jerked her foward. Tay hit her nose and sighed. She let go of the hammer and put the rune stick on the desk as she got up. Taylor dusted herself off and rubbed her nose a little. Tay sighed and glared at the stupid hammer. Why the heck did the hammer have to be THAT heavy anyways? Cant they just fake that the hammer was heavy? She sighed and straighted her uniform and robe. Tay took out a mirror from her bag on the desk and opened it, looking to see if she had blood from hitting her nose... she didnt hit it THAT hard but it still hurt. Taylor felt better knowing that she didnt make it bloody or messed her make-up up so she put the mirror back into her bag after closing it. She turned toward the handle and under her breath, she said, "Okay, hammer... you are going to let me do this..." Tay gave it a look then turned to pick up the rune stick from the desk. Taylor grabbed it then the hammer with both hands.

Scribble...Scribble...Scribble.

Merlin's beard! That was a lot of information to write. Nerida looked down at her notes...That was super long, she wondered if everyone else had super long notes... She never had notes like these in some of her other classes! And runes was extremely confusing! Nerida looked around at her classmates wondering if any of them were a confused like she was.

She sighed...Would they be doing something other than this? OOOHHH! Activity time?? She smiled she was totally in for this! She was totally going to do this activity, she was going to break that box!!

The blonde couldn't wait to grip the handle of the hammer!! How cool would that be!! She waited until the Professor finished... Then she grabbed the handle of the hammer with both hands and closed her eyes, and...

TTTTTTTTUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG...

Drats...It didn't budge..Not even an inch.

With a slight frown she headed up to the Professor's desk to get the runic wand stick thingy... It would be intriguing to use a different wand... As she walked about she kept on heearing uruz...And they kept on repeating it and dragging the word out... WHY WERE THEY DOING THAT?!! Until she noticed that the Professor was also doing that...Oh chanting...She joined in quickly...

"uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u...z z z z z z z z z z z z..."

Grabbing a wand and smiling towards the Professor, the blonde headed back to her seat. Ready to wreck the box!

After looking at the other students progress for a few moments, Jory gripped the wand with both hands again then gripped the hammer's handle. He started chanting. “Uruz uruz uruz...u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u u.” The wand glowed. For the second time, he put more energy into his next round of chanting and watched excitedly as the wand glow more and more brightly.

“Uruz uruz uruz...u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u u,” the boy continued chanting as he began lifting the hammer. Up and Up it came. Careful to keep chanting, he raised the hammer higher and higher until it was just over his head.

Still chanting, Jory sent the hammer smashing down.

Note taking, note taking.........

OLD MAN SAY WHAT? That sounded more like grunting to Sky. Really. Not cool, Professor Botros, not cool. She was really not wanting to practice this, much less actually have to do it for an extended period of time. She was not a grunty person, that was her aunt's boss. But, here it went.

"uruz.......uruz..........uruz.........uruz"

Okay, got it. She got up and went to retrieve the gr-thingy and went back to her seat, grabbing her hammer replica in the other hand.

"uruz.......uruz......uruz.......uruz......"

Dangerous class was... dangerous. And who would have thought it about Ancient Runes, right?

Alec watched as Runes Man Botros dealt with broken tables and... things. People. People he knew. He could ask them if they were okay later... right? Or... maybe not. Because if they asked why he was asking, he couldn't exactly say 'I saw you break a table'. It just wasn't... nice? Friendly? One of those things.

Now... TIME TO SMASH A BOX.

... Did that sound like something Hulk would think/say?

Shaking his head, Alec took up the hammer -- WHY WAS IT HEAVY? -- and the Gandr in his hands and gripped them tightly. Okay. He could do this! Chant and... check for glowing? Please glow!

"Uruz... uruz... uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..."

...

Nothing. Not even a little tiny spark of a glow. And... TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUG. ... Still very heavy. Sadface.

AGAIN. AGAIN.

"Uruz... uruz... uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..." he chanted, his voice getting a little louder each time he said the rune. His eyes stayed on the Gandr and hammer in his hands. Come on! Gloooooooooooooooooow! Please?

...

Nothing.

Mo gave the blond Hufflepuff a huge grin as he grabbed up the chair leg and settled one end under the hammer. Oh, right... "Thanks. I'm Mo, by the way. I appreciate your breaking your desk like a boss." Because obviously he never would be able to try this experiment if she hadn't. He set his metal box beneath the chair leg and leaned hard on the opposite end.

It looked for a moment as if the end beneath the hammer would successfully lift it, but instead the leg splintered beneath him and Mo hit the floor. Hard. So much for that genius plan. It was just a thought, anyway, and he was sort of glad it hadn't worked because using the Galdr was far superior to physics. Or he hoped it would be.

Mo picked up the Galdr again and examined it, continuing to mutter the uruz hooting cheer under his breath as he traced the runes carved into the stick. It looked a bit like a very funny hat, but he had enough presence not to mention that to the Professor. Probably wouldn't impress the man who was basically in love with runes and stuff.

Using both hands, Mo leaned over to grab both the short handle of the hammer and the Galdr together. The trick, he figured, to avoid dropping the hammer on himself or a desk or a friend or anyone was to keep saying the chanting bit until he was well positioned over his metal box. And then he could let go and BLAMMO. Open box. No big deal.

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u." He hefted the hammer and Galdr together, but apparently his focus was off, because the stupid old thing didn't even budge. Fine. He'd totally meant to do that.

Ella raised her eyebrows as she watched the boy create some sort of lever with her chair leg. Hmm...interesting plan, you random dude. "You're welcome." She said, smiling a little at the boy she didn't know. "I'm Ella, and you can thank my inability to remember things...cause I erm...well I totally forgot to chant the entire time I was lifting the hammer." Hence the whole: DESK GO BOOM thing. "It was pretty cool, though." Just saying. Is this how Alice felt everytime she Hulk smashed something? BEAM!

The blonde continued to watch because she was finished with her task and she was curious about the whole chair leg business. When that didn't work and this Mo kid continued to have trouble, Ella decided to offer some advice.

"Erm Mo? It helps if you say the chant with a lot of feeling and erm...well volume helps too." At least that's how it worked for her.

Anya stared at the stick and then at hammer. Alright. So... how was this supposed to work...? She laid the stick against the handle of the hammer. She then wrapped both hands around the stick and hammer.

Now for the shark baits, right?

She started chanting. "uruz uruz uruz..." Nothing yet. "u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." Still nothing.

She chanted a little louder.

"uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

Nahdah.

She frowned a little and tried once more. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

This time the stick started glowing. She squealed and dropped her hands. ...before she remembered her stick was supposed to glow. Whoops. ... that was a little embarrassing.

Alice was confused about whether he was asking the class because he wanted a bunch of people to say she was wrong, or because he didn't know. "Do I still have to answer, too?" Probably. It was a class, wasn't it? "Well, sir, I think Captain Gryffindor is right, because Captain Gryffindor got that information from the Ancient Runes professor himself." And if the Ancient Runes professor said that Captain Gryffindor was wrong, he was basically contradicting himself.

Captain Gryffindor also thought that speaking in third person about herself was LEGIT.

And Cactus got a beam from her. She knew he would be good to keep around, mmhmm. "THANK YOU." At least someone appreciated her genius. "D'you think we could try it now? Like draw tattoos on ourselves and see if we can pick up the hammers without using the wands, sir?"

That was directed at the Professor man, too. And Alice was all ready to try it for the third time with the runic wand, too, but she wanted to wait and see if she got permission for the tattoos first.

With a great lots of crashing sounds, the hammer broke the box with out any problems. Excited and still chanting, Jory removed the hammer and placed it back on the ground. "Uruz uruz uruz...u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r...u u u u u u u u u."

Massaging his aching arms, the Puff examined the now very cracked box. Separating the box, he saw inside held a small pendant. Carefully, he removed it. "It's Thor's hammer!'' His very own to add to his superhero collection! Sure, it wasn't a huge one but he still loved it. Jory the superhero geek.

Rawdon wrote everything down and gave Botros a nod of acknowledgement when the professor accepted his answer. Then more stuff was said and he found himself completely lost.

But then the professor said something about a hammer, smashing stuff, and a box.

WE GET TO SMASH STUFF! YESS!

He got out of his seat and patiently waited in line, peeking to see what everyone was doing and realized he needed to be chanting. Oh, that's what he was saying! I thought he was yawning really loud!

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u z z z z z z z z z z a h h h h h h."

Wait. That wasn't right!

He tried it again. "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... o o o o o o o o."

Nope. Wrong vowel. C'mon Rawdon. Don't screw it up. Listen to everyone around you and try again!

The line was moving rather slow and Rawdon continued to chant.

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

Finally! And he was next! As soon as the person in front of him got out of the way, Rawdon approached the basket chanting "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u," he chanted as he selected a random runic wand from the basket and returned to his desk, chanting the entire time.

As Belle used her wand and known the incantation and had concentration, she was ready to split the box open with the hammer. Belle knew it, she felt ready. She wanted to show the professor she could do it.

Belle got the wand out and pointed it at the hammer. She felt confident and then said it loud and clear...."Uruz... uruz... uruz... u u u u u u u u u...u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..." Then the hammer was levitating and then she slammed it down while still chanting. The box OPENED! YAY! BEAM! Belle was really happy with it!

As Belle went into the box, she pulled out something shinny and silvery. "Oooh professor can i keep this?" Belle asked him. She was glad she got the idea of the spell and she opened the box. She was so happy she could jump. She finally understood the lesson.

Nerida eyed the hammer... Everyone else seemed to do it.. It seemed like the appropriate thing to do. Yup, cause clearly it was the right thing to do...While staring she was also practicing that chant thing because if she couldn't get that right she'd never get the stupid heavy hammer off of her desk.

"Uruz Uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." She sounded stupid....[/b]"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u u u u u u." [/b]

Then, with both hands as instructed, Nerida grabbed both onto the wand and handle of the hammer. When she was pretty sure her grip was good enough and the fifth year began to chant, this time louder. "Uruz Uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..." STARE. STARE. Wasn't the wand supposed to be glowing by now? She was chanting! "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u u u u u u r r r r r r r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u..." Sigh. Still no glowing!!? "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u u u u u u." Oh. Oh. Oh. It was glowing! it was faint but it made her smile big!!

She continued chanting and than started to tug when she saw the glow getting bigger... She gave a small tug....

TUUUUUUGGG!

Nothing. Drats! The blonde gavve a sigh and looked around...Yikes Oakey and Ella's desks...Must be a badger thing...

"With FEELING?" Mo held up his hand, and his Galdr wand sans hammer, in his ACTOR IS ACTING pose. But, y'know, it wasn't like he could do this without actually hold in to the hammer, so he merely grinned at Ella before returning his attention to the task at hand. "I'll give it a try, but I'm not sure that I have strong feelings for Uruz. I might have strong feelings for Isa on a hot day."

He would marry Isa on a hot day, he would.

Mo grasped the Galdr again, wrapping it up against the hammer and squinting at his hands. Now, he had to remember to chant, especially now that this Ella person was watching him WITH FEELING. "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

He glanced up at the girl and smiled again before focusing once more on his hands. "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u." It seemed a little lighter, right? And a little brighter? Was he doing it? MOHASSUPERSTRENGTH?!?! "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

Now it was DEFINITELY getting lighter, and Mo lifted his hammer a few inches into the air. And then a foot. And then... where was his box. HE FELT SO STRONG... so this must be the feeling Ella was talking about. He wanted to inform her that he got it, and he wanted to respond to Alice's question, and he wanted to call West over to lookatthisrightnow, but Mo didn't want to drop the hammer and break his foot or something.

He inched the hammer along until it hovered just over the box. So should he just let it go? Was it far enough away to break the box? Mo glanced up again to smile at his captive audience, and it was just enough to break his concentration. The hammer fell... right on top of his metal box. Lucky, right?

Now it was time to lift the hammer. Rawdon put the wand on the desk and gripped the hammer's handle with both hands.

GRRRRRRRRRR!

Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Maybe I should say the the Mak’tar chant of strength.

"Larak tarath. Larak tarath. Larak tarath. Larak tarath," he chanted as he tried a second time. The hammer didn't budge.

Okay, I'll use his saying thingie.

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

Again, and he picked up his wand because others were doing that

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

Rawdon's eyes grew round as saucers as the runic wand began to glow.

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

The runic wand continued to glow

Now what? He looked around the room and saw that some were holding the wand and the hammer's handle. Okay. I'll try that.

He placed the wand against the hammer's handle and grasped both with his hands while continuing to chant, "Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u."

"Uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u." The wand glowed brightly and Rawdon gritted his teeth as he tugged at the hammer. It gave a little.

With her wand in hand, Sierra headed back to her seat. Okay, so all she had to do was pick up this hammer...somehow...and break open this box. Riiiiiiiight. The hammer felt like it weighed forty tons, but yeah...no big deal. She'll just swipe it off the table and smack this box right on open.

Ha.

Sierra grabbed both the wand and the hammer with both hands. "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.." Ugh, she hated chanting. What was wrong with a simple incantation or something? "uruz uruz uruz... u u u u u u u u u... u u u u u u r r r r r r... u u u u u u u u u.."

The hammer began to glow, and when it did, Sierra pulled it off the desk with all her might. To her surprise, it came off the desk and was rising with her pull. However, a second later, it slammed back down to the desk so hard it nearly took her with it.
