Arabella-Marie smiled at Issac and said "Yeah i am a seventh year and i am guessing that your a seventh year yourself"

Abby thought about taking a small nap before heading back to the castle. It wouldn't be weird.. right? To sleep in the middle of the grounds? Hm. It probably was. So the girl just remained sitting up on the grass, running a hand through her hair in an attempt to straighten it. She was sure she looked like a clown right about now.

In the middle of making herself a little bit more presentable, someone sat down beside her. An expression of annoyance crossed her face. SERIOUSLY? Why were people not leaving her alone? She hoped it wasn't Lex, since the girl had a bad habit of following Abby around.

Abby looked up to find.. "Genie?" She raised an eyebrow in surprise. Heh. She hadn't seen her friend in a while. "It looks like you've been getting some exercise too." Good. Abby was quite impressed. And, that didn't happen often.

"Yep, I sure am." he said nodding, "Where are ye headed now?" He didn't have anywhere he had to be, just wandering the grounds once again. Stuffing his hands deeper in his pockets he shivered.

"Yes, well," Vivi waved her hand about, as if that explained things quite clearly. Explained away all the running and being embarrassingly out of breath currently. She sat back up and leaned her elbows against her knees.

Hasty was out running, though? Willing to look less than immaculate at the moment? It was a shocking turn of events.

"Just a bit. I didn't think anyone else did this sort of thing, to be honest. I got some looks back there on the pathway." And she'd loooooooked back. Some people could be so rude.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Well i have nowhere in paticular to go i just love to wander the grounds"

Well today was feeling rather nice outside and why would anyone want to choose it inside? Normally, Violet might just hang around the castle or down the lake, but today, just like was the right day to go for a nice walk. And who could blame her? The sixteen year old silently strolled along down the path not really thinking of anywhere in particular to go. Violet's eyes wandered to the path below her where she was now looking at her boots slowly cross over one another as she walked.

Not only was it a nice day to go for a stroll, but it was also giving her something to do, then freak out about the Quidditch list. She had been trying her very best to not think about it, but recently it's all she could think about. Was she going to make it? Wasn't she going to make it? She had already mentally prepared herself, that if she didn't make it, then she didn't make it, she wasn't going to go and sulk in a corner about it, not that there was anything wrong with that! But if she did make the team, then that would be really exciting for Violet to take up a new activity! But all she could was just wait....for how long? She had no idea, but she really didn't have the choice now did she?

"No? Well I'll wander with ye, if ye'd like some company." he said with another smile on his lips. He hated wandering alone and Amelia had been busy.

Ella was going absolutely bananas waiting for the Quidditch roster to go up. Whenever she had a free moment the third year found herself thinking about it, and worrying about whether or not she was good enough to make the team. The stress was getting to be a little bit too much so the small badger decided to take advantage of the nice weather and go for a walk. The fresh air always seemed to help at times like this.

Wandering along the pathways, the blonde whistled to herself while enjoying the sunshine. It was a few minutes before she crossed anyone else on the path and as luck would have it, it was one of her favorite older badgers! BEAM. "VIOLETTTTT!" Ella called out, waving her hand excitedly. "How are youuuu?!"

Abby leaned back on her elbows, the slightest hint of a smirk on her face. "You look like you've been out of practice lately." Because the girl looked way too exhausted. Or maybe.. she'd been running for more than an hour.

"Me too." Abby had been surprised that no one at school seemed to go for runs or just exercise in general. How did they stay fit? Or maybe they just didn't pay any attention to theit health. Sad, really. The only person she knew who worked out was Chace and he looked goooood. And now, Genie.

"We should go for runs together. I could use the company."

A walk... Yes that sounded nice.

Juliet didn't pack up anything sweet for today though. It's November and her cousin had specific instructions about her not eating anything sweets because it will be seen in her performance this winter break. Why oh why his sudden interest in his piano recitals. And here she thought he doesn't like performing live. Aiggoooo.

So just a walk for today. Juliet managed to find her way into the pathways. Nice, and clean place for a walk. And while she's here maybe she could do some Herbology stuff? Maybe? Maybe not.

Things were on the up now. Sure she hadn't made the quidditch team, which she was sad about, but she coudln't dwell on that forever. She had better things to go on about. The blonde had her scarf wrapped around her neck, she wandered along the pathways. She was having a little walk, before she headed back up to the common room to go and down some work. Seeing as she had no quidditch she wanted to make sure that she did all her homework on time and stuff. Not that she hadn't last year. But she didn't have quidditch to worry about this time.

Tucking her hands into her pockets, she wandered slowly along the pathway, looking up at the sky. It was quite pretty today.

Juliet took out her small notebook and a muggle pencil. Her bag couldn't fit the whole quill and plus you would need to dip it in an ink which would be really stupid to use if you are walking while jotting down some notes. Homework was starting to pile up again, she did a few already. Some finished, some half done but that was no excuse.

The wind here is nice anyway and everything just felt silent. Juliet always had a knack for the nature. She loves being outdoors even though if all she does is walk anyway. But still, the wind and the cool surrounding and how the leaves are falling from the ground.... it's beautiful, magnificent!

Walking a few more steps but slowly since she is thinking and at the same time walking, plus writing. Multi-tasking, now she's just hoping she wont trip nor bump into someone. Then noticing from a distance is a familiar girl. Juliet eyed the blonde and tried to think where she has seen her.... OHHHH. She's the girl from the Hogsmeade platform and the girl that Daichi was eyeing at the CoMC lecture. "Indy..." she said her name, enough for the blonde Ravenclaw to hear.

Oppppps. Juliet looked at her. Well, if she mentioned her name, she might as well just go ahead and greet her. Taking a few more steps, Juliet came nearer to Indy, waving her hand.

Hi.

Kicking a pebble down the path, Milton watched as it bounced and skipped several feet in front of him. As his eyes wandered up, he found another person in a much-too-large sweatshirt walking in the opposite direction. He couldn't tell who it was, since the person's face was covered by the big hood.

And whoever it was, was heading straight for a tree. Milton was tempted to call out and warn them, but he hesitated and was too slow. He watched them run into it.. and fall down. Milton slowed down... and then the girl pulled back her hood. Anya...

Milton stopped a few feet from her for a moment. She looked... not good... "Are you okay?" He asked cautiously. Because she just ran into a tree. And she was wearing a huge hoodie and blocking out the world. She wasn't herself, that much was obvious.

Anya rubbed her shoulder and shot the tree a threatening look.

She needed... sleep... and tea... and a swing. Or some combination of said things.

And yes. She knew that voice without even looking.

"Treehitme." she said without looking up. She then clutched her knees against her chest for several seconds. Then she groaned and sprawled out across the ground.

"I. Can't believe. I didn't see. A TREE." she said in a completely defeated tone staring up at the sky.

She lifted her head up a little and cast a sideways glance at Milton. "I'm mental. Completely mental."

And then she dropped her head again and continued her stare up at the sky in her oversized sweater. Why? Because... she just ran into a tree. Andddd... her shoulder kind of hurt.

The tree... hit her? Milton stared at her as she clung to her knees on the ground. What in the world had happened to her? "Anya..." He spoke softly and crouched down next to her, obviously concerned for her well-being. And not just because she ran into a tree, but because she looked... mental. Like she said. While laying on the ground.

"What happened to you?" he asked quietly. He wasn't even sure if he was asking her specifically, or if it was just a general question. Then he dared to touch her. Milton reached forward and gently grabbed her wrist. "Come on, stand up." Because laying on the ground was neither safe nor sanitary. And he was seriously worried about her.

Out of practice? Perhaps, but she wasn't willing to fess up to that in front of Hasty. Vivi won herself some time by fiddling with her long hair, tugging it loose and braiding the damp strands into a loose sort of braid. That didn't take nearly long enough, and she finally flashed Hasty a smile.

"I'm pushing myself harder than before... maybe too hard to start out with, but I don't have the patience to ease into things." That much was true. Vivi had always been one to jump into things with both feet and worry about consequences later.

"I'm game. Running by myself is dead boring. Tree. Tree. Tree. Snogging idiots. Tree."

No Anya, no. Waterworks would NOT be helpful at the moment.

What happened to her? "I hit a tree." She said simply. She refused to specify if she meant that literally or figuratively.

She allowed herself to be pulled back up by Milton. Once she was standing, she immediately covered her face with the hood. If he asked what was wrong, she knew she wouldn't be able to stop the tears. And she deserved what little dignity she had left at the moment.

She brushed off the dirt from the back of her shirt before playing nervously with the right sleeve of her sweater. She hadn't worn any sort of jewelry there for a few months now, but old habits died hard.

"Nice day for a walk." she said softly attempting a bit of small talk.

She hit a tree. Yeah, he knew that, Anya.

When they were back on their feet, Milton looked at her and frowned. What was with the hood? Why was she hiding from him? He also saw that she played with her right sleeve. That's where she used to wear that bracelet he gave to her after finding it in Atlantis last term. He knew she didn't wear it anymore, but something tugged inside of him seeing her play with her sleeve where it used to be. He couldn't put a name on it though.

Milton sighed and looked away for a moment. Small talk. Great. "Yeah. Gorgeous." Sarcasm, obviously. After a moment, Milton looked at her again. Was it so wrong to be concerned about her? "How are you?" There. That was a different approach.

"Sarcasm." Anya said in a nearly flat tone. "You're frustrated with me." It wasn't a question. More a statement. That's just... how he worked. She still remembered.

She pulled her sleeves over her hands. Maybe in a strange attempt to disappear? Or maybe she just wanted to look small? It would make her feel less weird about being so strongly affected by her feelings.

And. Yeah. He was going to actually ask her how she was. She let out a little sigh. She knew better than to lie to him. "I guess that depends on how much time you've got..."

Flat tone. "You're avoiding my questions." Milton knew that SHE knew that he wasn't talking about running into a tree. Something was wrong with inner!Anya and he could tell. He just wanted to know what it was. Even though he had a hunch...

Milton couldn't help but notice how small Anya looked. And it wasn't just because she was wearing that huge sweatshirt. She just looked so small, standing there all sad. Like she was so easily broken. It was... kind of painful to watch.

There. That was progress. So how much time did he have? For her? "All the time you need."

Anya gave a little half shrug. "Maybe you're not asking the right questions?" Because she didn't have it all sorted out. She sure wouldn't be able to communicate what was going on in her head.

She chewed on a nail a little. "Okay." she replied. "I guess... I can start with something simple...?" she offered.

"It's my dad's." Not Jake's. In case he was wondering why she was wearing such a large sweater. Or how she even got it. "It's too small for him now."

So now this was his fault? That hardly seemed fair. "Anya, you know what I'm talking about." She was being difficult. "I just want to know why you seem so... put out." And that was an understatement. She seemed more than put out.

Milton nodded, gently encouraging her to go on. He was afraid that she would just break, physically or mentally, at any moment. When she spoke again, he was confused. It was her dad's? It took him a moment to realize she was talking about the extremely large sweatshirt. "Oh..." Well, that was a start. "Why.. are you wearing it?" Not that he was questioning her fashion sense... but she just never wore baggy stuff like that.

Abby finally flopped back on the ground since her elbows were starting to ache. Besides, lying on the ground felt good. Especially after a long run. Her gaze shifted towards Genie after a moment. "The braid looks pretty." Abby commented, wishing she could learn to braid too. She conisdered asking Genie to teach her but decided against it. Maybe later.

"Well, I suggest that you start slowly. Pushing yourself hard if you've been out of practice.. is not good. It might affect your health." Because she knew what she was talking about. Anyway, it was up to Genie really. She could do what she wanted but it was just a piece of advice, that's all.

Snogging idiots? Abby bit her lip. Had Genie ever spotted her making out with Chace? UGH. She REALLY hoped not. Abby didn't care about people watching in general but she didn't want to be thought of as a snogging idiot. "I know." Abby said, nonchalant. "Isn't that horrible?"

Vivi flipped her braid back over her shoulder and shrugged, acting as if she didn't care what her hair looked like. Not a thing. Nope. Just convenient was all. She'd have to try it out again in the bathroom tonight after the other girls went to bed to see what Hasty meant.

"I know. I'm not very good at 'patience', unfortunately. My mother is often reminding me..." She gnawed at her lip briefly before continuing. "She reminds me that patience is a virtue. It sounds like virtue is sort of boring, doesn't it?"

And by the way, Hasty? Not fooling one Genevieve Branxton. She'd seen the girl snogging her boyfriend in King's Cross all those weeks ago, but it was nice that she was pretending. "Not every snogger is an idiot. Just the ones I have to look at when I jog, maybe."

Yes, Anya did know exactly what he was talking about. Okay... apparently not. "Put... out?" she repeated. She lifted the hood covering her face enough to shoot him a quick glance. "Am I usually put... on?"

She bit the corner of her bottom lip and gave a little half shrug at his question. "I guess I thought it would help." Extremely childish of her, right?
