Yes... Put out. Put... on? What? "No, I mean... You just don't seem yourself." There. Simpler terms, maybe.

Milton watched her carefully. He didn't know how a oversized sweatshirt would help, but okay. Also... "Help with what?" Because he was still trying to understand why she was acting the way she was. Apparently he needed to be specific.

Abby frowned when she failed to get a response. Didn't she just give out a compliment? And, Genie acted like she didn't care at all. Not cool, Genie. Not cool. Because she liked it when people acknowledged her compliments.

"I know what you mean." Abby could be extremely impatient. Especially when it came to things that were important to her. Obviously. "Well, that depends..." She sat back up again when she realized that she was attracting curious glances from people nearby. What was wrong with lying down on the ground? People could be SO weird. "If a virtue helps in making you a better person.." She gave a light shrug.

"So, you're okay with looking at snoggers when you're not jogging?" Abby didn't understand the logic. Either way it looked like Genie hadn't seen her snogging, so the girl was happy.

No, no. Virtue sounded boring regardless, if patience was part of the package. Vivi shrugged and flopped out on the grass, ignoring stares and inviting Hasty to ignore them too. Didn't matter what those idiot snoggers though, anyway.

"What makes a good person, though? Kindness, compassion, loyalty... are those virtues?" She always thought virtue had more to do with more esoteric and boring characteristics.

Hm, they were talking about snoggers again, were they? "No, I'd prefer not to see PDA if I can help it. It's distracting." And Vivi was ultra-focused and tried not to be distracted. Mostly. Sometimes. "What's your boyfriend's name? The one who helped you when you were hurt in Hogsmeade Station?"

Abby ran her fingers through her hair for a moment before she tied it up in a loose bun. She hesitated before she flopped back down on the ground beside Genie. Yeah. Why should she care about what people thought? They should learn to mind their own business rather than stare at others. She looked up at the sky, letting her body relax. She could just go to sleep any second.. "The sky's so blue today."

"Well.. I guess the answer to that question would differ from person to person. I mean.. if someone is rude and abrupt sometimes, that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person, does it?" Abby wasn't sure if she was making any sense. If she wasn't.. well, she was exhausted. That was her excuse.

Abby shrugged. "I don't mind really. As long as you don't do it right in front of my face." Cause that would definitely annoy her. And.. Genie's next question surprised her. "Chace Denver. Seventh year Gryffindor." Abby smirked to herself. She was dating the hottest boy at Hogwarts. How could that NOT make her feel smug?

Damon sighed, "You have nothing to be sorry about, Ronnie," He shook his head, "But thanks for the offer."

He looked at her, giving a small nod, "Sure..."

Ronnie gave him a warm smile, putting an arm around him. "Alrighty then." she said, beginning to walk towards the castle. She just HAD to find a way to cheer him up...perhaps a bit of ice cream could help!

"I don't?" Anya shrugged. That was a lie. She knew full well that things were off. And it scared her even more than how she thought she was going mental last term. "You've got me there." And that was the truth. "I guess I'm... distracted?" Or. You know. On the verge of a breakdown of sorts. Heh. Stupid emotions.

"Everything I guess." she said. She rubbed her forehead under her hood with a hand. "I... don't think I'm capable of being happy when people are upset with me."

She tilted her head toward the ground. "I guess... I'm trying to hide." In her dad's old shirt. Like she used to hide in her parent's bed when she was younger. It was just... the closest thing she had to a safe spot right now. Given that she didn't know anyone that could even be considered remotely neutral.

Who would have thought that having so many important people would come back to haunt her?

The pathways was really nice. Indy couldn't figure out why she hadn't been her sooner in the year. It was a little colder now, and it'd start snowing soon. She wouldn't come down here then, she didn't want to end up falling on her backside. That would not be fun. Although she didn't have quidditch to worry about this term, so it wouldn't be too made if she did end up getting hurt. She didn't plan on getting hurt though. Because that would not be fun.

She stopped though, when she heard someone call her name. Hmm. Someone was here? She turned around, and smiled as she saw someone waving at her. Ooh. It was that girl from the platform. The one Daichi was friends with. She waved back. "Hi Juliet!"

Sigh. Milton sighed. Again. He didn't want her to be like that, but she was already clearly distressed or something. So he would deal with it. Distracted? "Distracted by what?" he asked.

Milton frowned again. "No one's upset with you." Even though that was kind of a lie. But it wasn't like people hated her. Sure, not many of her friends liked Jake, but it was impossible to hate Anya Phillips.

"What are you hiding from?" he asked quietly. Yes, he was asking a lot of questions. But he had to or else she wouldn't talk.

With some surprise, Vivi peered up at the sky through the changing leaves over their heads. It was awfully blue, and she hadn't noticed. It was a NICE day, and she got to be outside. What was there to complain about, aside from losing a lung somewhere back there?

"Would you rather be a good person but boring or a bad person but interesting?" Vivi went up on her elbow. It was a hypothetical, no-shades-of-gray type question. Very informative, really.

"Chace Denver, Gryffindor. Gryffindor's aren't bad, as far as boyfriends go, I bet. Remarkably loyal, probably a little pushy about the chivalry. Is he clever? Why do you like him?"

Taylor wandered around the pathways in a daze. She was thinking about Ari as well as Damon, trying to figure out what the heck she wanted and what she was going to do. Tay sighed and sat down.

Damon walked up, seeing Taylor he gave a kind smile and walked up to her, "Hey."

Tay barely glanced up, "Hey..." She was still a little daze so that was all she said before going back to her thoughts.

"You alright?" Damon asked noticing that she didn't seem to be all there.

Tay sighed, coming out of her thoughts again, "Not really but I'll live." She frowned.

"I dunno... I guess... I just have to watch what I do closely..." Anya replied. That was really the only way she could think to describe it.

If things were going good, there were comments. If things were going bad, there were comments.

"Milton. Don't lie to me." she said sharply. They were not going to have this conversation if all he was going to do was attempt to make her feel better by saying things like that. She wasn't an idiot. She knew exactly what was going on.

Now that one... that was a question she was hoping wouldn't be asked. She was slowly slipping into the world's worst mood. And she was honestly hoping to hide from that. She was hoping that the silent walk would give her a bit of clarity. And that there was somehow a way to make all of this better without hurting anyone's feelings.

"I don't think you really need to ask that question."

Well... that made sense. So Milton shrugged a little and let it go.

He winced a little when she called him out for lying. "Sorry," he mumbled, running a hand over his head. He just wanted her to be happy. "You don't have to please everyone, you know. You can't, actually. It's impossible. You're only hurting yourself." And him... Just seeing her like this was making him upset.

Milton watched her until she finally said what he thought she might say. He didn't need to ask, no. Milton sighed quietly and nodded, staring at the ground. "Me?" he asked quietly.

Anya frowned a little. Yeah. She'd noticed she couldn't please everyone. And yes, she'd noticed that she hadn't been quite herself. It was exhausting trying to keep things going.

And it was even more exhausting trying to show that it wasn't getting to her. Why couldn't everyone just... get along?

"Among other things." she replied simply.

Damon frowned, "Can I ask what's wrong."

Tay looked at him, "I am a stupid idiot, losing Ariana as my friend..." She sighed and looked away, wanting to cry.

Damon looked at he and sighed, "You are not a stupid idiot."

Abby sighed. Relaxing after a long run felt good. Especially when you have someone to talk to. And, she was glad that she didn't have to run alone anymore. Running alone was boring. REALLY boring.

"Bad person but interesting." Abby said, promptly. WHY would anyone want to be boring!? If people weren't willing to take risks and enjoy life as it comes.. well, they were just really boring and Abby prefered not talking to them at all. She paused for a moment before she turned to look at Genie. "How about you?" The latter, she hoped.

Chivalry? Chace was chivalrous.. at times. Loyal, yes. "He is smart and knows what he wants." Yeah. He was a lot like her and that's probably why they got along so well. ".. And, he's hot." DUH. Cause Abby did not date bad looking guys. "You'll like him."

Tay sighed, "But I am..." She wrapped her arms around her knees and laid her chin on her knees as well.

"You are not," He sat down next to her, "Just made a mistake. There's a difference."

Tay scooted away, "Dont try to cheer me up, Damon." She looked away and sighed. Taylor was a little hurt by him but she still wanted to be friends... "You think I am just playing with your heart." Tay frowned.
