"But we're pretend-siblings" he nodded his head and brushed his hair to the side. Who knew this would be really fun? He's starting to enjoy himself already. at least listen to me. Okay then. He can do that... In fact, Jonathan is better in listening to people than anything. "Sure. I can listen to you..." he snorted before continuing his sentence ".. but I can't guarantee, I'd be able to listen to all of it." just like he does most of the time. He usually doze off or his mind dozes off somewhere when he starts thinking of something else. Mordred... Beezus seems to randomly just said his name. Jonathan shrugged. They were in the same year, right? They're probably good friends and she was just too excited to tell him that Mordred was back, just like she always is. Merlin, where does Beezus get all of that energy? When Jonathan was at that age, he barely walked outside the grounds nor had that... many... friends... He's weird.
Jonathan leaned over the rock as closed his eyes for awhile as Beezus finally knew. Wouldn't it be possible that he could just shut his ears close too? Well, the Silencing Charm would do the trick but really, the on-going questions are the worst kinds of things in a conversation. Jonathan hated talking about it, how he talks about it again--- it's tiring. He's tired of talking about it, thinking about it.
He didn't bother answering Beezus though. She can sort this out herself. It'll be the same repetitive story. It's like one of those ugly songs on replay all the time. No one wants to hear it. For awhile, he sat up straight and smiled at Beezus and pretended not to hear she asked any of those questions. What? How? When? Where? Instead, he called Ash to come over to him and tried tickling his belly. Ash liked it if he does that. "Do you want to feed it?" again, changing the subject. | Pretend-siblings. Heh. Why, she liked the sound of fake-siblings more. It sounded more legit. XD Not guarantee to listen to all of it eh? Well..she was fine with that. Leastways, he'd be considering her words a bit more than others since she's his sister. "I don't mind if you don't listen entirely. I just want you lend an ear." She said, shrugging. After all, she didn't like to talk that much so surely, Jonathan won't get bored when they're together.
And possibly, now was a good time that he listen to her and give her some answers? He was seriously avoiding the topic. She looked at him sympathetically as he leaned on the rock. She wanted to ask him what happened, why it happened, how it happened....So many questions about her latest discovery that she wanted him to answer. Yet when she looked at his worn-out face, she hesitantly changed her mind. She still wanted to know and she would demand answers from, but she'd squish out the information out of him slowly. There was no need to rush, she didn't want to open a deep wound again if there was any. Now she knew why he looked so messed up a few weeks ago. It was because of what happened.
Her brows in a knot, she stared intensely at him when he called his dog over and played with it. Was he really not telling her anything? When he asked her if she wanted to feed the dog, she nodded absently. Then turned her gaze into the ground and slowly, she asked him. "Whose...fault was it? Were you the one who broke up with her?" She tried to say every word in the most gentle way she could muster, hoping against hoping that he'd give her some answers. |
