The Duck Pond Ducks, fifteen in all and quite possibly already named, live in this pond. Go on, take a seat on the rocky ledge and dip your feet into the water! Rest assured, these ducks will not bite, but if you just so happen to have any type of bread |
Daichi had sleepless nights just thinking about the duck pond over the summer. There was a possibility that the pond would be gone, like the treehouse and soccerfield had been. So after waking up in the dormitory Somehow, he managed to arrive at the place where the pond had been last year without tripping and the Slytherin closed his eyes and crossed his fingers as he walked through some bushes where he remembered hiding with Thea once. He had his eyes closed because he was afraid he would see nothing but water until.. QUACK! QUACK! Daichi opened his eyes, widened them and after seeing the ducks swimming in the water and waddling on the grass he squealed. Loudly. "FRIEEENDS! I'm hooooome~!" ...wait..now he can't write his awesome big angry letter to Murdoch together with Indy...oh well. |

The Snake walked around the pond, trying to find the white duck and spotted him swimming at the centre of the pond. It was times like these that Daichi wished he could swim. Maybe he should ask Professor Bentley for gillyweed? Not being able to swim, Daichi took off his shoes and dipped his bare feet in to the water. He flinched because the temperature wasn't exactly warm nor was it too cold. A voice behind he startled him and the boy turned his head to see a young girl walking towards him. He grinned as she called him Duck Boy. Selena's nickname for him had really catched on it seemed. "Haaai..uhm...i forgot your name" he said , staring blankly at her. He did remember that he had seen her during a snowball fight once though. |
Ameliah laughed. "Ameliah. And it's fine, all I remember was Selena called you Duck Boy...it's easier to remember. So what'cha been up to?" she asked, plopping down next to him and petting a duck that had swam towards her. |
Quote:
What he had been up to? Not much really now that he thought about it. Well some stuff HAD happen but ..he wasn't in the mood to talk about it. Especially not with someone he had only seen once. Twice now~ "Not much. i haven't slept all night cause i was afraid the duck pond would be gone!" he gasped, eyes widening behind his big nerdy glasses. "But..what you been up to?" |
Ameliah saw Duck Boy look at a plush. "OHMIGOSH!!! A DUCKIE PLUSH!?!?!? SO CUTE!!!" she squealed at the little stuffed duck. Her eyes widened. "I know, right??? Hogwarts wouldn't be as awesome without this pond!!! Or the duckies in them!!! she gasped. "My summer was pretty much moving to my adopted family...and PARTIES!! Lots of parties!" she added, nodding. |
Ronnie was skipping around the grounds, when she spotted what Harvey had been talking about. THE DUCK POND WAS REAL! She squealed with delight and ran over to the rocky edge and sat down, and squinted as she counted every duck. Fifteen duckies! Wow! She couldn't contain her excitement. She looooooved ducks, they were her favorite animal! She giggled and bounced a little where she sat, not worrying if anyone saw her. |
First week back, and Angelina headed for the duck pond. Ducks where one of Angelina's favorite animals, besides owls, cats, bunnies, etc.. Smiling she took a seat on the grass nxt to the pond and watched, waiting for some friends to join up with her. She hasn't seen them for so long. Probably thought she would during the summer, but no, she was sooo busy. Angelina laid down on the grass and closed her eyes relaxing. |
Quote:
"ANGELINA!!!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air and running towards her friend. "Heeeeeey, long time no seeee!!!" She said with a BIG smile on her face. She missed her Slythie friend! "How was your summer?" |
Quote:
When she reached her she hugged her and said, "Ah, I missed you!" Before she could ask Sophie how her summer was, she cut her to it. "My summer was pretty good... busy," Angelina laughed and said, "How was yours?" |
Em/Keef The weather was...rather warm outside, and even if the winter months were the kind she was most accustomed to, why not take advantage of the landscape the school had to offer during the fall, right? Kate could only imagine how beautiful the grounds must be during spring, though, if this is what September looked like. Plus, she was tired of being inside, and the grounds were simply perfect today. The sun made her hair look more like silver than gold, what with the sun and all. Platinum, her cat, seemed to be more pleased being inside, so no pressure on bringing it outside, really. She'd walked around for too long that one would actually think she'd be at the Front Gate by now. Well, she did get there, but chose to rest for a little while at this pond. Why? Because look at the little ducks! They were so cute, weren't they? And whatever creature that had the ability to fly and submerge at the same time was simply amazing, no? Without having an intention to feed, touch or being remotely close to one of the cute ducks, she took a seat on the ledge and limited herself to watch. And rest too. |
Quote:
Her summer was busy? Sophie hoped Angelina was busy with fun stuff, at least! "What did you do? I went to a lot of friends' house, both muggle and magical ones!" YEEES, summer break was the perfect time to visit frendsss! "So what are you doing down here? Just looking at the duckies?" She asked looking back at the Pond. What was there to do here anyway? "I can't wait for the classes to begin!" Not that she was a nerd, but Sophie had fun in class! |
Text Cut: Kate Having secured a heel of bread from the kitchens, Keefer set out to visit his yellow brethren. He inhaled deeply, letting the sultry late-summer air permeate his lungs and trickle down to his toes. There is no better place to enjoy yourself than the Hogwarts grounds. Walking leisurely, he began to hum absentmindedly, no particular tune in mind. He even broke into the occasional skip as the song permitted. They should be just over the hill.. he thought, craning his neck to catch a first glimpse of the friendly ducks. So he was very much surprised when his eyes met with a different type of creature-- a girl. But not just any girl. It was... "Kate!" He would recognize that head of hair anywhere, the way the sun bounced off of it and made it appear like molten silver. His heart became lighter as he closed the rest of the distance to the pond. "Fancy meeting you here!" Which, really, was a stupid phrase. One he shouldn't have used. "I was just stopping by to feed the ducks on my way to check the Quidditch signup clipboard. What brings you here?" |
Quote:
"I went and visited my family for most of it, I also went to Spain with my parents," She told Sophie with a smile. "That sounds like fun! I wish we could have got together," She told Sophie with a frown, it was a little fake because she was too excited to see her at the moment but really it was sad! Angelina looked at the pond with Sophie and said, "yes, I just love ducks!" Looking back at her friends she nodded fast and said, "Me too! I enjoy them very much!" |
Oh Destiny So here it was the start of a new term, Cece's second term as healer at Hogwarts to be exact. Taking advantage of the infirmary being empty Cece found herself wandering the grounds. Nearing the duck pond she stopped to take in the beauty of the area. Waylon sure did a nice job of keeping the grounds looking good. He was still the groundskeeper, right? Not seeing him at the feast Cece wasn't really sure if he was still employed here or not. She would have to make it a point to stop by his hut later... to see if it was indeed still his hut. For now though she was just going to sit on a bench and watch the ducks. |
Quote:
Oooohh! Spain!! "Wow, it sounds awesome!!" A lot of her friends had traveled abroad this holidays! She wished she had too. Oh wait! She HAD!! "One of my friend's house is in Canada! I had never traveled abroad before! It was great!" She said happily. Sophie nodded at Angelina's comment about them getting together. "Where do you live, Angelina?" Maybe they could arrange something for the next summer break! She loved ducks? Heh! "Ducks are funny! Look at the way they move!" She giggled when a duck put its head underwater and lifted it up again, shaking its tail. "And their faces are funny too, look!" Quack. Weird ducks! "Can we feed them?" |
Text Cut: seriously, Keefer, a creature? Her name. And that voice again. Instant smile. Not that she wasn't smiling already, but now her teeth were showing in a wide smile that was present as her head turned towards him. She wasn't planning on disagreeing with his next comment since there was a lengthy list of places that was more likely the two of them should meet, like...like...well, there had to be plenty of places, right? Besides the Common Room and the Great Hall, that is. But truth be told, Kate had no idea where she might be finding him other than those places and perhaps the Pitch, because he was Captain. It was still a nice surprise. And this only proved that such lengthy list doesn't exist. "It's a pleasant surprise indeed, Keefer," she said, blue eyes on him. Oh. He was going to feed the ducks? And...Quidditch! She resisted the urge to sound super excited about...oh, never mind, "I signed up! Did you see?" yeah, no resisting. "Too bad I won't be playing against you, though," she said, pretending to be completely disappointed by the thought. She wasn't. She was pretty glad she belonged in the same House considering she was certain he'd pose a terrible distraction in those hoops. Distractions in Quidditch were by no means good. Perhaps fun. But now she answered his question, as her eyes followed the nearest ducks, "It's a nice place to rest for a little bit, isn't it?" then her head turned towards him again and ever-so-gracefully lifted her hand to pat a spot next to her, "Join me, Captain." The smile should be enough for him to accept, right? |
Seeing though the Opening Feast had finished he had found himself wandering down to The Duck Pond.He loved Ducks. It seemed strange that a Sixteen Year old Liked Ducks but he did. They were Yellow and little. His two favourite things.Well Yellow wasn't his favourite colour but he still liked it.He sat down near waters edge and found himself missing his friends. It was only his first day here but he missed evryone he knew.He looked around to see the great sight of beauty. It wasn't like this at his old aschool. There was only mean teachers there, but then again he hardly knew anyone here either. |
Ducks. Ducks. Ducks. Ducks. YEEEY! Brooke liked ducks, they were all quacky and stuff. The second year ran down to the duck pond flapping her arms pretending she was duck, although she resembled everything but a duck then flopped herself down by the duck pond. The blonde sat crossed legged swaying a little bit, watching the ducks with a huge smile on her face. She wanted Ness to be here so they good feed them but clearly they'd have to do that another time. She was so happy to be back at Hoggiewarts. YEY! :3 |
Quote:
He found a girl sitting by herself, swaying or dancing or both. It was hard to tell by the way she moved side to side."Do ducks make you, err, dance?" Tag asked the girl. There was only one way to figure out and that would be to just ask. But ducks were cool the way they quacked and how they had orangish beaks, sometimes. And they could float on water too. |
Quote:
Getting a strand of her hair Brooke began to twist it round her finger when she was approached by a person. A person she didn't know. YEY! For new friends! "Um nope. Ants in your pants make your belly button dance though. This isn't dancing. This is swaying." She jumped up and started to dance. "This is dancing!" she gigled before sitting back down by the lake. "Hi!" |
Quote:
"Hi! I'm Tag- a first year. And you are?" He introduced himself. And anyone who was so willing to dance in front of him without any shame should introduce themself. She had guts to dance. |
Quote:
Tag. That was an interesting name. "Thats interesting, like the game! Im Brooke, im a SECOND year!" she exclaimed, getting all excited. She was all big now, hehe. "Wanna be friends ?!" yey! |
Quote:
"Yeah, that's how people remember my name, because it rhytms with a game-and people like playing that game. I hope." The irish boy said to her, a long smile spreading over his face."Hi Brooke, the second year." Wow. The girl was rather up front about wanting to be friends. Slightly confused Tag leaned backwards an inch or two examining her more closely.Could you just ask to be friends? He thought it happened over a period of time. Or did this Brooke not have many friends and took any opportunity she got. "Yeah-sure-I like meeting new people." he said nodding at her. Nothing wrong with meeting new people. |
Quote:
But it had happened, and as soon as he had finished his breakfast at the castle, why wouldn't the house elves deliver food to his hut? It wasn't like they couldn't just apparate, Waylon made a beeline straight for the pond. But, instead of spotting the Slytherin thief, his eyes landed on someone else, and he switched his direction and headed for her. "Cece." he greeted with a wave, and just helping himself to the empty seat next to her on the bench. Surely she wouldn't mind, right? If she didn't want anyone to sit next to her, she would have taken up all the space.. somehow. "Not used to seeing you out of the castle." |
Quote:
That was such a cool way to have your name remembered. "That's so awesome, I wish i had something cool like that to remember my name by." People even sometimes forgot her name, which Brooke didn't really like. heh. Oh well. "I fink people do like the game, I like the game." Brooke said proudly, pointing to herself as she said the word I. A giggle left the girl's mouth as he called her 'Brooke the Second year' she felt so mature and stuffs, even though she was only twelve and not nearly as smart as a lot of the first years were. heheh. "Hi Tag, the first year." and he said they could be friends, this was so exciting! "Yay! I like new friends." hehe. she did very much, it was true. And then she sighed, looking over at the ducks. "I wish i could haff a pet duckie." |
ANYOnEEEEEEEE. Theodore was running through the grounds, and it was taking ages for him to cover every place. These grounds were huge! His tiny legs stopped at a pond and he dipped his hands in to splash across his face. Panting, the boy laid down. He was no athlete, OK. Once he caught his breath, he looked to his side, only to find a duck sitting beside him. Sunbathing, it looked like. "Argh!" He bolted up, then relaxed. Just a duck. Although it belonged in the water. Theodore tried to shoo it away, but he quickly got nervous. |
Daichi XD Indy was pretty glad that she duck pond was still here. Indy liked the ducks. But it also meant that Daichi was going to be happy. That was good. The grounds were so coool this year. Indy really couldn't wait to spend all her time out here. She was totally going to bring her books out here to study too. It was going to be fun. And so with Pink Ted under her arm Indy was wandering towards the duck pond. She knew Daichi was going to be out here. Indy had had a feeling that it was probably the first place he'd been too. And she wanted to see him, so that was exactly where she was going too. Maybe he could introduce her to the ducks. Indy was pretty sure he was very close to the ducks. He was the duck boy. Oooh. There he was. Oh....with another girl. Indiana paused in her walking, just watching the pair. It was weird. She had a feeling inside. One that she didn't understand. But she kind of didn't like that Daichi was here with another girl. It was confusing. She shrugged it off, and kept on walking towards Daichi. "Hey Daichi...." |
Quote:
Nodding his head frantically at the young Ravenclaw's words, Daichi listened how she talked about moving and parties. "So you're adopted?" of course she was , she just said that! "Oh i like parties! There always so much fun. I went to Paris this summer~" Quote:
It was at that point that he heard a voice. A VERY familiar voice despite having only seen her three times now. His cheeks flushed a deep red shade and he wasn't even looking around! He knew who it was but could not explain why he was blushing. Clearing his throat he turned around to see Indy~ "Haaaiii!" he waved his arms with Mr.Duckles in his right hand at her. In the corner of his eyes he saw Mr.Murdoch and the Healer on the other side of the pond..hmm maybe he should thank the man later for keeping the pond? Making a mental note, Daichi turned back to Indy. "Sit sit!" he said and patted the grass on his left because Ameliah was still sitting on the other side. "Indy this is Ameliah" he smiled before pointing at the water and to the white duck. "AND that's Floppy!!" he squealed. |
Angelo was certain that this school had everything. Everything that students could want and more. He was so glad that he wanted to go here with his sister and that his parents allowed them to because it was much better than Durmstrang ever was. They even had a pond, a DUCK pond to be exact. Ducks weren't Angelo's favourite animal but the idea of having a pond here was relaxing, even if ducks could make really loud quacking noises. Angelo looked around him and saw quite a lot of people here for all different reasons, some people wanted to see the ducks, some were just talking to other people and some...some were just being plain weird. It made him uncomfortable and he had absolutely no idea why. Nevertheless, Angelo sat down focused his eyes on the ducks in front of him. |
Quote:
Oooh. Daichi wanted her to sit? Indy giggled, sitting herself down beside Daichi. This was nice. The weather was nice. Not too hot, but not too cold either. It was good weather to just have her pretty blue cardigan on. It probably didn't go with her green top that she had on underneath. But Indiana was kind of aware of that. Oh. Hi new girl. "Hi." Indy smiled, as she sat crossed legged and placed Pink Ted onto the ground between her legs. "I'm Indy!" The girl had a pretty name. But now Daichi was distracting her my duckies. "Awwwwww." Indy giggled with a big smile. "He's cutee!" Indy nodded with a big smile. "I'm glad the pond is still here." |
Hey, he has a way with words, alright? XD Text Cut: Kaaaaate He was pleased to see her smile. It didn't appear to be false or forced, which indicated the truth of her reply. She did indeed find his presence to be a pleasant occasion. This thought made him return her smile with a grin of his own. "Congrats on your Sorting, by the way. I think you'll really enjoy Hufflepuff." And Keefer certainly wouldn't mind seeing her face around the common room. I should spend more time there this year.. he mused. She lost no time in sharing her news. Signed up.. for... oh! Duh! She was talking about Quidditch, of course. "You did? No, I haven't been down to the Pitch yet! That's great!" His eyes took on a glazed look as he had a brief vision of her hair streaming out behind her, catching the light as she sped down the field. He mentally shook himself back to the present. "Too bad? I'm pretty sure you'd be a fierce opponent. I, for one, am abundantly happy about it," he said, hand on his chest to emphasize his point. Not to mention the distraction she would provide if she were to shoot the Quaffle in my direction. "Yeah, it is. I find the ducks to be calming." His heart skipped a beat as he recognized her invitation to sit. "Don't mind if I do!" He made his way to the spot she indicated, half tripping over his feet on the way. He prayed that she didn't see, his cheeks slightly pink with embarrassment. Smooth, Keef. For all his coordination in the air, he sure didn't have any on the ground. He flung a piece of the bread into the pond before he flopped himself down in the grass where she had indicated. Tearing off another chunk of bread, he proffered it to her. "Would you like to feed the ducks with me?" |
Em! <3 Quote:
Kat sighed, trying to expel the anger she was feeling for her birthday and height. She jogged over to the duck pond and splashed her face water. Then she shook out her long brown hair and laughed as water droplets trickled down her neck. She looked up to she a boy further down the pond, also splashing his face with water. He looked quite cute Kat thought absently. And nervous, she though tilting her head slightly as the boy jumped at a duck. Gathering up all her courage, she went over to the boy. This would be why she'd made no new friends really, she was too shy, well when she didn't know the person she was talking to. She hesitated for a moment but then tapped his shoulder. "Hey," she said quietly. |
Quote:
"AHHHHHH." SOMETHING WAS POKING HIM. Theo jumped to his feet and stood in a kung-fu position, half expecting an army of ducks. But it was a girl. Oh, man.... He lowered his arms and sighed in relief. "Sorry, thought you were a duck..." Because APPARENTLY, ducks had fingers to poke people with. -__- "Hellow." He said. |
Quote:
A duck? He'd thought she could have been a duck? She chuckled nervously. "It's alright," she said, smiling shyly at the boy. "I'm Kaitlyn, but you can call me Kat," she held her hand so that he could shake it. |
Quote:
"Hey." She stuck out her hand, and Theo scanned it for a moment. Eww, he didn't wanna touch a girl. Coooooooties. But he did anyway, to be polite. Shake, shake. "My name's Theodore." THEODORE THE GREAT. |
Quote:
"Nice name," she smiled at Theodore. "Mind if I join you?" she asked, gesturing to the ground, her voice a little shyer this time. She wanted to sit down with him, A, so that she could hopefully make a friend and B, so that it wasn't as obvious that he was taller than her! <_< |
Quote:
I know, right? He said to himself about his name. "Sureeeeee!" FRIIIIIIIIIIIENDSHIP was on the horizon. Theo liked this, even if it was a girl. "What house are YOU in? I'm in Slytherin." He said proudly. Yeah, he had moved on from his Gryffindor ambitions now. |
Quote:
"Thanks," she said, plonking herself down by his side and grinned and him. "Don't kill me. I'm a....HUFFLEPUFF!" She said this with a growl in her throat. She hated it, even if it did annoy her parents. It meant everyone expected her to be super kind. That wasn't her though and I guess she could blame her Slytherin family for that and her shortness. Yep, if in doubt, blame her shortness. It worked everytime! |
Quote:
WHY WOULD HE - "I won't KILL you. I love Hufflepuffs." Yeah, one of his good friends was a Hufflepuff. "It's the Ravenclaws you need to look out for." He leaned in to whisper to her. Yeah, they could be anywhere. Those claws. Meepr. "Would you like a chocolate frog?" He asked, out of tradition when meeting a new person. IT WORKED. People loved a good froggie. |
Quote:
"Oh, that's a relief! I heard you Snakes don't like Puffs," she admitted. "Really?" She asked, looking around for any lurking blue claws. Kat giggled, like she often did when given/offered/anything chocolate! "Yes pleaseeee!" She said, bouncing slightly on the spot. |
Quote:
The Prefect sat down and looked at the ducks, with a small smile on her face. She noticed someone sitting nearby..alone. "Erm..hey." She gave the guy a smile before she resumed looking at the ducks. Ah, so cute. |
Quote:
"Well, I dunno about the others, but I am a NICE Slytherin." With an evil side, too. Do not forget. "Yeah! One of them threw a CAULDRON CAKE at the Slytherins." Marked them for life, hadn't he. Those Ravenclaws. In fact, the only Claw he liked was Blue. But she DID like puke... so it did make her a bit weird. Theo smiled when she wanted a frog. "I gotta take the card, though." Cards were important. He handed one to her and watched her like a hawk. |
Quote:
"A..nice Slytherin?" She asked, with a mock gasp. "Well, I'm a feisty Hufflepuff," she said, winking at him and clawing the air in front of her. What with a family of Slytherins, what else could have been expected from her? He needs the card? Whatever. She needed the chocolate! She took the frog and popped it in her mouth, MMMM! Great! "Thanks," she mumbled and chucked the packaging and card back to him. If he was taking the card, he could have the packaging too. "Who's on the card?" She asked curiously, trying to peek at it over his shoulder. |
Avery made her way to the duck pound and sat down near the shore. The ducks and ducklings were so cute and fluffy she wanted to pet one. Where was her sister? She thought to herself and sat back, sunning herself in the rare warm sunshine of England. Then she scooted forward and dipped her toes in the cool water. |

Quote:
"Yeah I sent them a letter with my owl Ledger. Hopefully they write back!" Avery said and looked out at all the ducks "I like that one!" Avery pointed to a small duckling "Lets name it Turnner!" She cried coming up with the name of her old dead cat. |

"Turnner and Rosie, that is too cute!" Avery laughed and smiled up at her twin. |

"Have you?" Avery asked |

Indy too!! Quote:
She then waved at the new person. "Ayeee!! And HII Floppy!!!" the duck swam over to Ameliah on call, practically trying to jump into her lap. She pet the duckie happily. |
Quote:
"I love ham too!" Avery said and picked up a piece and ate it |
Quote:

Quote:
in the water "I would love some potato salad!" She giggled and took some tasty food, |

"My professors are really nice!" She told her twin "Do you like yours?" She asked softly? |

"Oh I made you a cupcake!" Avery said reaching into her bag. "Here ya go!" she handed her the homemade cupcake. |
The duck pond. Just the day after Ronnie had first visited it, she found herself skipping back to it and sitting on the rocky edge again. The duck pond was now officially her favorite place at Hogwarts. She loved all fifteen of the cute little duckies swimming around. She had brought a piece of bread with her from the kitchen. She ripped a little piece of it off and held it out towards a cute whie duck who was closest to her. "Here duckie duckie! Want some bread?"she asked. The duck looked at her for a second, and swam over. She tossed the bread to the duck and it ate it. "You're so cute!" she said giggling. She wondered if she was allowed to nickname it. Oh, why not? "I'll call you Waddles, even if you already have a name." she said to it, chuckling. |
of course. XD Text Cut: Keefeeeeeeeer His smile only made hers remain just as wide as before. He should always smile, by the way, it suited him. Yet she had the feeling he was rarely caught without one. "Thanks!" she said, brightening up, if possible. "Well, I'm enjoying Hogwarts so far," perhaps the fact of joining the school in such a late stage was good in terms of not truly caring which House she belonged in at the moment. However she was minding the yellow, because it was a color that she's never thought to look good on her. On a very positive note, she shared dormitories with Eve, and she'd liked her when she met her on the train, even if it was still odd to her that the Prefect hadn't tried any sort of licorice candy. YES. Signed up for Quidditch! Nods and nods came to her pretty head, the wavy hair bouncing along, "Of course!" she played Quidditch, there was no way she wasn't trying out while at Hogwarts, "Then you'll see my name in there," cue sweet smile. Then her eyes caught some sparkly highlights on his hair and completely agreed with him. She was just as happy as he was, most certainly, yes. Which was amazingly strange for she's never considered distractions in Quidditch before. Until he came along, that is. "That's right, you should be," she said, adding a wink. Fierce opponent, completely correct. And yes, he should be happy, for she also was. Oh? The ducks...calming? Yes, she supposed they were. Perhaps too calm, but she'll take that right now. She made no comment on it, mainly because her eyes turned to the little creatures instead and the next thing she knew was that Keefer was sitting right next to her. Basically, she missed the awkward tripping situation. She'd had no intention of feeding them, but now that the opportunity was arising..., "Yes, sure," she said, taking the bread from his hand while brushing her fingers ever-so-lightly against his. "What's your favorite place at Hogwarts?" she asked, while giving a piece of bread to the pond, or rather, to a nearby duck. "Besides the Pitch, or the Stands." |

Ameliah looked directly into Ronnie's eyes, calculating. "Nope, you didn't." she said matter-of-factly, using her people reading skills. |

"It is chocolate and raspberry!" Avery giggled glad her sister liked it |

Ameliah laughed at Ronnie. "Nothing, I just like to point out when people lie. One of my specialties, along with warrior reflexes and reading people's emotions." she said smugly. |
Quote:
|
Ameliah noticed the flat tone. "Don't worry, I don't do it a lot...." she said honestly, her voice trailing off. |

Ameliah nodded and sat next to Ronnie. "So when did you start Hogwarts? I haven't seen you before." |
Quote:
Aww, was she jealous of how people remembered his name? "Well, we'll come up with some fun way to come up with your name. I promise. I hope they like the game-its a fun game." But it usually involved a lot of running. He wasn't a runner. Tag, as some people knew, was a jumper. Much different. Now, he wasn't sure if a duck could be a pet but there could be alternatives. "Maybe you can adopt one-like in a zoo or something-and they can take of it there and you just go visit it. Yeah?" Tag asked her. |
Quote:
Angelina listened while Sophie told her about where she went. Smiling she said, "Sounds so fun! I've never been to Canada." SHe wondered what it was like there. Was it cold there like here, they are around the same height as England. Angelina smiled wide and said, "I live down in London. What about you?" She hoped Sophie lived somewhat close. Looking at the ducks with Sophie she started to laugh, "Yeah they are. I'm more into little duck not the older ones. THey seem weird." She looked around the pond for a 'do not feed sign'. So far she didn't see any. Nodding, Angelina looked at Sophie and said, "I think you can." |
Where in Merlin's name was all that quacking coming from?! Ducks, presumably. But at a school? That was just ridiculous. This was supposed to be a school, not a zoo. Though, maybe it was actually a zoo to begin with. It sure seemed like one, taking a look at all the mental students that attended this school. Not including Milton who was at Hogwarts against his will. Oh, look. There it was. A duck pond. Milton came to it and stopped several feet away from the water's edge. It smelled like... pond water. And he didn't like it. He didn't like a lot of things, actually. |
Quote:
It was really an Indy thing to giggle wasn't it? Or maybe it wasn't but Daichi was just simply paying attention to her giggles. It was cute he had to admit..WAIT WHAT?! Eww..eww Daichi! she's a friend and where in merlin's beard do those thoughts come from?! Having a O__o expression as Indy sat down beside him, he faked a cough. He watched between the two girls as they said hi to each other and he took this time to look at the duck pond itself. Even if he did not like ducks, he would have thought the place was beautiful. "Yeah, me too" he smiled genuinely at her before looking back at Floppy with a big grin. "Want a piece?" he asked after pulling out a half melted chocolate bar out of his pocket. Quote:
"ehm...i-i don't know what a french club is..." ok this was awkward! Better give her a a piece of chocolate too. "Here" he said as he broke off another piece of chocolate bar. |
Ameliah bounced a little. "It's a muggle thing Bella showed me. It's like a huge party house, except you don't really know anyone there. Like a public party." Yea. That covered it.... CHOCOLATE!!! She accepted the chocolate happily. "Thanks!! I don't care what Lafay said, chocolate is AWESOME!" |

Ronnie made her way to the spot she normally always went to. HER spot. RONNIE'S spot. No body elses. It was all hers! Mwa hahaahaa! As Ronnie sat, she noticed a boy standing by himself a bit ways away from the duck pond. What was he doing all the way other there? All the duckies were right here! Feeling that he might need some company, she stood up and made her way over to him. "Hello!" she said. "I'm Ronnie! What's your name?" |

"I bet you are...." Indy giggled with a bigg smile. She loved all the areas of the ground though, and would be spending lots of her time out here. "I'm thinking of coming out here to study and stuff....it's so peaceful." And she got that she sounded so much like a nerd. But she liked reading. "It's pretty. too." It was just a very good area in general. Ooh. He was offering her chocolate. "Yum..." She smiled. Indy loved chocolate so much. "Yes please." He was a good friend. Sharing his chocolate with her. Oh. Yeah. The other girl. "So...." Hmm. Wait what was her name again. "What year are you in..." Amy? No. Amie. No. Ameli...oh that was it "Ameliah" |
Text Cut: Kateeeeeeee "You're welcome! I'm a proud Hufflepuff, so every new addition to our family is great!" Well, there probably were some students who weren't happy with their placement, but she didn't appear to be one of them. And good thing, too. "But hey, at least yellow doesn't clash with your hair nearly as bad as it does with mine!" He pointed unnecessarily to his flaming red locks. WHY am I pointing out how ridiculous I look??? To cover it, he hastily began speaking again. "I'm glad you're enjoying it. It must be hard to come into a new place for your last year, not really knowing anyone or how things are done around here." Yes, he could be sensitive. So what? Every time Kate moved her head, Keefer was momentarily distracted by the fascinating way the sun made it look like silver. He caught himself "I will? Yes, I suppose I will. It will be good to have some fresh blood trying out." He didn't want to only see his old team returning and everyone else getting scared off. After all, there could be some hidden talent lurking behind someone's robes. It was his job to spot it under the surface. "I bet you're fantastic," he said, complimenting her without any real basis for doing so. "If nothing else, you hair would distract the other team." That had slipped out before he realized what he was saying. "No! That didn't.. I was only... Shoot!" he sighed, lifting his gaze to the sky. "You make me get my words all jumbled up!" he complained, though not without some merriment behind his eyes. He composed his thoughts and brought his head back to a normal level. "I only meant that there's something about your hair... it tends to reflect the light back at you and shine more than with most girls." He suddenly realized how vulnerable he was and retreated within himself. "Anyways, I'm excited to see what happens this term, since we won the Cup last term, and all.." LAME. He felt a shock wave course through his body as she took some bread. Fortunately, she had become preoccupied momentarily with the ducks. The color in his cheeks was rising, though it could have been due to the bright September sun. "Er, my favorite place?" he repeated, wondering why that felt like such a threatening question. And she already took the pitch and the stands..? His brain wasn't working, he was at a loss. He blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "The kitchens!" he said a bit too loudly. Hopefully she would interpret it as enthusiasm. "I, uh.. I love those elves, you know?" he plowed on gallantly. "There's this little one, Toddles. Just born last year. He was at the Feast." Although, he hadn't seen her there. So maybe she didn't know. |

"YES, why do you sound so shocked?" This girl was MEAN for a Hufflepuff. He could feel his fake-unconsciousness coming. He'd give her one more chance. Theodore grabbed the packet, pulled out the card, then tossed the rubbish on the floor. Such a rebel, you see. fDSJfdsfdsfsdf. "Salazar Slytherin. For the billionth time." Theodore was very upset by this. "Do you want it?" |
Anyone She walked down to the duck pond and sat in a place away from other people and looked into the pond quietly. She always loved coming down to the duck pond, it was so peaceful and wonderful |

Milton stared at her for a second. "Wilson," he lied. Why? He had no idea. He just wasn't feeling friendly towards happy people at the moment. |

"I had never been to Canada either! It's really green!" Well, at least Carigan's house was in the middle of the woods and it had plants ALL OVER! That made Sophie come to the conclusion that the whole country was like that. "I live in Newcastle!" Another green place. Her mum was the one who had chosen to live there, obviously. Any kind of ducks seemed weird in Sophie's opinion. In a funny way, of course. Not that she would want one as a pet or anything. Speaking of pets... "Do you have a pet, Angelina?" She looked around to find something they could feed the ducks. Not grass, of course! But there wasn't anything else there. No Chocolate Frogs in her bag either. "Do you have anything we can feed them?" |

Text Cut: Keefer XD That's right! Houses were like families. Keeping that in mind, then she was glad she'd ended up in the yellow one, they had some very nice people in there, starting with Keefer. It was a shame, though, that West went to the green one, but at least they were closer to them than up there in one of the towers. She smiled, and listened as he spoke about...wow, really? 'Nearly as bad'? Thanks for pointing out that yellow wasn't her color, Captain, but she had to agree with him, after all, she'd thought about that herself. "I agree," she finally said, and couldn't help but divert her gaze from his eyes to his hair. So yellow suited her more than it suited him? Yeah, obviously. As far as how hard this could turn out to be for her..., "I miss it," all of it, "But this place isn't half bad," her smile wasn't as wide as before, thanks to Keefer mentioning this, but she was one who tended to adapt well to changes. And this was only for a few months, if she wanted to be back in Sweden once school was done, then she definitely could. For now...her expression turn to one of amusement. Yes, Captain, you will see her name because she signed up. "It always is," fresh blood, always good, another nod came to her head...and then... ...she froze. Er, well, yes, she was pretty good but...hearing him say that caught her off guard, to say the least, even more so when he mentioned her hair being a distraction? Blink. She didn't know what to think of it, or what did he mean, so her mouth opened up slightly to ask...questions that were never asked, since now he was...going to explain? Hopefully? She didn't look concerned at all, she still looked amused by his reaction, especially the part in which he said she was the cause of it. Kate wanted to let him know that it was okay, before he actually said something he'll regret, but she decided on giving him time to gather his thoughts. Her eyes couldn't leave him, though. Alright. She knew that. She had her father's hair. Plus, West did mention her hair was pretty. THAT is the kind of thing you mention to girls. "I think that's a compliment? That I'm not like most girls?" yes, that's all she said about Keefer's jumbled up speech. "I hope you win it again this year," her tone and expression were kept sweet, even if she wasn't oblivious to the topic change Keefer had brought up, so she went along with it. Also, the kitchens was his favorite place? Besides the Pitch, for sure. She smiled at this, "We should go some time, I haven't been there yet," when it was cold enough for hot chocolate, of course, not right now in the middle of the day. "Oh, yes, I saw," the little one going from table to table? Probably looking for fun? "And you only have house elves in there?" they had Wizards and Witches focused on cooking back in Sweden, though. |
for new friends or old :) Ella walked down to the duck pond with a book in her hands, eager to visit the spot. It was one of her favorite places at Hogwarts and she felt at ease there. Walking over to the rocky ledge of the water, Ella removed her shoes and rolled up her pant legs, sticking her feet in the water. It wasn't exactly warm but Ella still had a smile on her face, it was good to be back. Opening her book, Ella began to read, letting the sun shine down on her face. What a beautiful day. |
Minerva sat down on the grass and let bouncers down. "No running off do you hear me." she smiled. |
