Edric stared at the cat like <____< then turned to Louisa with the same expression.
He was NOT. AMUSED. At all. In case it wasn't obvious already.

Luckily for the Gryffindor, Louisa was carrying her wand. As she accio'd the shoe, Edric reached out to take it from her but she was already suggesting to… 'fix the situation' for him.

Edric forced an uneasy smile on his rather grouchy expression. "Oh. No. Please. Don't worry about it, I can take care of it myse--" TOO LATE.
Louisa had dried the boy's shoe, alright. Oh yes. It was perfectly dry now.
… It was also some FIVE SIZES SMALLER THAN BEFORE. Edric snatched the shoe from the girl's hand only to find that the WHOLE shoe could sit perfectly well on the palm of his hand. It was like the shoe of a two-year-old.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Edric wasn't one to show emotion, though, so he kept his rants and extreme annoyance inside his head.

"Well."
What could he say to this?
"This is exactly what I wanted. A shoe just for my toe. Thank you, Louisa." NOT. He was obviously being sarcastic.

With a little hop in her step, Brooke found her feet carrying her toward the duck pond. It had probably been the first place she had gone last term at the beginning, though she wasn't entirely sure. Her memory seemed to be failing her lately. But that wasn't a big deal. She had never had the best memory.

Finally arriving at the pond, Brooke's eyes fell upon a girl just a little ways away who seemed to be feeding the ducks. She stared at the girl's bright hair before deciding she'd never seen the girl, because honestly, who'd forget that hair?

Inching toward her, Brooke opened her mouth. "Have any extra bread on you?"

Haley was just about to pull more bread from her pocket when she heard some one walking towards her. She looked up just as some girl started talking to her. Haley smiled at her and said "Actually I do." She pulled the extra bread out of her pocket handing it to the girl.

Haley took the last of the bread she had breaking it into pieces. She leaned back watching the ducks happily eat all the bread. Some times it seems like they never ate before. She looked up at the girl and moved over so she could sit next to her. "My name is Haley by the way...Haley Jones. It's very nice to meet you..." she trailed off waiting to hear what the girls name was because she was sure she never met her before.

The blond grinned, tossing her long hair over her shoulder casually before taking the bread from the other girl. Well that had been good luck. "Thanks," she said softly before ripping a small piece off of the bread and tossing it in the general direction of the ducks. Brooke wasn't entirely sure that it was good idea to feed the ducks.. After all, she was sure the groundskeeper fed them and.. she didn't know whether they could be on some sort of diet. Though, seeing as she didn't see an angry groundskeeper running toward her, she figured she was fine.

Brooklyn broke another piece off of the bread and threw it toward the ducks again before her attention had been taken off of her task. Her head turned toward the other girl as she had spoken her name. Brooke nodded simply before sharing her own name in turn. "I'm Brooklyn." She'd never found it necessary to say her last name, but decided she should do the same anyway. "Brooklyn Petrov. It's a pleasure to meet you as well." she grinned.

Gosh, this was awkward. "So.. have you been at school all this time or are you like.. a transfer?" No need to beat around the bush.

Haley looked around awkwardly for a while. The girl was still standing so she felt like it would be better if she stood up. Haley then stretched and shook her head when the girl asked if she was a transfer "No I have been at Hogwarts since my first year..." Haley bit her lower lip "I usually keep to my self really... which is probably why we never met before..." Haley looked at her feet "Or.... are you a transfer?" She asked this because she felt like she should, hoping she didn't come off rude.

Tossing the final piece of bread into the pond, Brooke rubbed the remaining crumbs off of her hands before sticking them in her pockets. Her bright blue eyes watched as the ducks scrambled off for the last piece of bread, gaze following them flap around and race toward it. It was kinda cute, actually.

Her eyes fell back on the redhead when she spoke, a small blush rising to her face. Way to go, Brookie. "Oh um.. sorry. I'm.. a bit oblivious, i guess." she shrugged. A bit was an understatement. She was extremely oblivious.

Hm? Transfer? Her? "Well.. sort of. I came in my fifth year, though- i was home schooled previously. So, not really a transfer?" Kinda?

It had been a long few days. Minerva hadn't really been out and about unless it was for class. She needed her time alone. Things had all just crashed down around her and it was hard to even go to the common room in fear of seeing him. She really needed to stop dating puffs for that reason. The safety of her chair didn't feel as safe at the moment so she headed to the Duck Pond hoping it would be to social for him or even to much day light she chuckled to herself. She hit the pond and a thought came to her mind, wonder if I would get into trouble for changing the ducks feathers into a nice new color.

Think about this she walked around the pond a little and then decided it wouldn't be worth the trouble in the end, so she decided against it. As she went to sit down she noticed Taylor on a blanket and her heart sank. She didn't think she was ready to see her friend. She felt the anger and the hurt all spring into her head. She didn't seem to notice that Minnie was there, so maybe she wouldn't realize it at all. Minerva sat down in the grass and looked out at the pond not sure what to do.

Minerva continued to look at the ducks trying to decided what to do. She couldn't be mad at Taylor for this could she. Deep down she knew Taylor felt the same way and Damon even told her that Taylor said something. Minerva didn't need much to know exactly what she could have said that would have made Damon rethink his relationship with her. She kicked her foot at the ground trying to figure out what to do. Then she let out a sigh, she was going to have to talk with her. Maybe they could just talk without that name being brought up. She got up and pulled her bag over her shoulder. She moved her hair off her shoulders and turned towards Taylor.

Walking over to her she kept breathing to relax her nerves. She didn't know why she was so nervous to speak with her, but she was. She felt like she might get sick. Finally as she got closer she faked the best smile and chipper voice she could "Hey Taylor, what's been going on? Sorry I haven't been around just very busy lately." She knew that was kind of a lie, but whatever they lied to her for weeks.

Minerva sighed not even two seconds and it was brought up. She knew it was a subject that wasn't going to be left unnoticed. Minerva felt herself get a bit angry though and she felt defensive even though she shouldn't in a low tone "He's not a jerk, so don't call him that. He was honest and true to his feelings." unlike other people at this school she thought to herself. "As hurt as I am, I can't blame him for doing it. He did the right thing not to keep the relationship going when his feelings were not there." she knew she was sounding harsh and still wasn't sure why she was defending him to Taylor, but it was obvious she still cared deeply for him. "I really don't care if you make a move on him, honestly I want him happy, so do what you want. She crossed her arms and sighed she really didn't come over to fight her, but that's what it felt like.

Fighting? like bug sumo wrestling? "That would be so awesome!!" He was sure about that, but not so sure about the other stuff West said. "Fisherlibrarian? poofish? What are you talking about?" But the Care of Magical Creatures professor. That was a good idea, and he was cool. "I think I might have to go visit him"

It seemed like those spells would be the most useful. Why hadn't they learned them, and when would they learn them? But until they learned them, Kaiden could still make a fire.

"Well, I can collect the wood and all if you wanna get the food?" Kaiden suggested. It should be fair. It would take a bit of searching to collect enough wood. And well, Kaiden knew where the kitchen was, but he had no clue how to get into it.

Minerva sighed she was angry, hurt, and a bit confused over everything that was going on. "Taylor, he tried, so it wasn't really leading me on. Once he figured it out well he told me and I can't be mad at him for that. I'm just hurt, because I liked him so much still do, but I am mad at myself because I knew how he felt about you. I knew all summer, but I chose to accept it and be with him anyway. That was dumb on my part." She looked at Taylor and studied her for a few seconds after the friends comment. "Taylor I want to be friends still, but I just am having a hard time trusting you at the moment. I know your feelings for Damon and don't try to lie to me again about them. He told me you told him something which started confusing him. He didn't tell me what, but I'm not an idiot. I know that's why you have been so confused as you said the other day and that's why I got defensive for Maxwell. Don't lead him on if that's what is really going on. If I'm stepping out of place, I'm sorry, but this needs to be said. And honestly only a true friend would be this blunt." She knew she was going to hurt Taylor for saying those things and she didn't know why she even bothered, her care factor was gone for now and the nicey nice Min was on vacation. Taylor needed to hear the truth from someone and if that had to be Min so be it.

"It would! It is! Bugs are cool." West beamed at his newest friend and then when he asked about the librarian, West explained.

"Well the lake? The pipes from the castle empty into it, so like.... sewage comes out in there. So that means the fishes aren't good for people to eat. And I went for a walk and the librarian was FISHING and I explained about the sewerage and I don't know if he didn't understand or just thought it didn't matter cos I'm a kid, but he was fishing to EAT the fish. The poofish. And you can get real sick from that. But he didn't listen. And I thought librarians were supposed to KNOW things, but I don't think that one does. So I'm not going to ask him for books because he won't know the right books." And that was that.

"Yeah okay! I can do that!" YESSSSS it would be AWESOME! "When should we meet back HERE?"

Minerva sighed and felt the tears that she had let fall so much alone coming back to her eyes. She closed eyes trying to push them away. She looked at the ground like a scolded puppy "Taylor I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lecture you. I'm just upset and taking it out on everyone near me." she didn't want to fight her friend, but she just didn't know what was true anymore. She thought about leaving, but that wasn't going to solve anything. "Taylor I want to be friends still and I'm sorry. I would still be your friend no matter what you chose to do. I had already put that in my mind this summer and I'm sticking by it. Your one of my best friends and I don't want to lose that. I lost friends before and you know that. I've lost to much in my life, I don't want to lose more. She was really struggling to hold the tears, but she kept fighting. Looking up at Taylor "Can I ask you something...How is Damon, I..I haven't seen him and have been worried still about him with this mom thing that came about and well I know seeing me cry didn't help. I tried not to."

Taylor crossed her arms, "I only saw him the day you two broke up. I accidently ran into him and i tried comforting him but i scolded him for what he did to you then we talked about classes so i dont know how he is doing. I am not his keeper." She sighed.

I have to go to bed....
 

Minerva looked at her their friendship was broken a bit and that hurt her more then Damon did. She looked away "Sorry I asked, I'll leave you alone for now on." She wasn't sure what to do, did she leave or try to make things right. She sighed and just headed back towards the castle feeling the pain in her eyes. She didn't lose one good friend this week she was losing two it seemed like and maybe three if Maxwell wouldn't be allowed to hang out with her anymore.

"Mins, wait." She ran to catch up to her. Tay grabbed her arm lightly and looked her in the eyes, "I am sorry, Minerva. I just have been grouchy." She sighed, "I know it is no excuse but will you forgive me? I dont want to lose you as a friend and i am sorry for everything i have done and said."

What in the feathers!!? Louisa's eyes bulged out of her head as she stared at the thimble sized shoe on his palm. Her hand came up to her mouth to cover the grin that was forming on her face.. she wanted to laugh, no he should laugh with her too. Come oooonn it was funny! Although it insulted Louisa's skills... the girl was actually finding it humorous.

"Okay, let's not freak out." She was stifling her laugh and her voice came out trembling just a tad, "I probably should've mentioned that my nonverbal skills are still growing." Funny how she did an easy spell out loud and the harder one nonverbally. Heh heh heh.

With her wand in hand, she asked carefully, "D-do you want me to repair it for you?" Louisa tried SO hard not to let her laugh surface at this point. Her cat had approached them by then and seeing the boy with this not-so-happy look on his face, she went over to his bare foot and started rubbing her head against it affectionately. The Ravenclaw looked down at her cat and a pang of jealousy hit her... she didn't show it though... much.

"Well." She started, "If the stuck-up Viola is trying to console... you sure are one of a kind." The girl then shot her cat a look, again, and returned her gaze up to Edric, "Do you want to use my wand?" she sighed, giving up on taking responsibility here. BUT HE WAS GOING NOWHERE UNTIL HE FORGAVE HER. So.. he shouldn't get his hopes up.

Minerva looked at the ground not sure what to say. She didn't want to lose Taylor as her friend, but would the awkwardness ever go away. She wasn't sure how she was feeling, it wasn't betrayed because she knew the risks involved and she knew this could happen. She just shook it out of her head and decided she needed to get over it. "Don't worry about it Taylor. Alot has gone on and we all just need sometime I think. Your not going to lose me as a friend so don't worry about that, but I will give you the space you need to figure things out. Don't use me as any excuse for your reasons." she looked away and then back to Taylor. She couldn't shake the images of them being a couple, being lovey to each other on the grounds. She was going to have to deal with it sooner or later. Taking a deep breath she tried to smile "Honestly Tay, we will be fine."

Haley smiled and nodded. It seemed like the girl was a bit more distracted than oblivious. "Thats alright." she said sweetly hoping the girl wasn't embarrassed.

Home schooled, Haley had never met anyone who was home schooled before. But she figured it had to be like regular school just with out all of the class mates. "Home schooled? Thats cool." she nodded "I guess you could confsider it a transfer... but I don't know either." she giggled hoping she didn't sound like an idiot.
