Harvey was very surprised to see Minnie play around with her spoon "Er... i dont think you are supposed to do that ... sweetie" he said to her as he noticed that Ame had noticed this spoon banging game that Minnie was playing and came over to her.. He was happy to see everyone back to the way they were last year.. he breathed with relief maybe he would manage afterall..

Merlin that journey had been rubbish. She'd lost everyone, got locked in the loo and lost Queeny. Again. And then a first year had had to help her out, which had been incredibly awkward, considering she was now an old sixth year, and she still hadn't found Sammy when she got in the carriages. But now, the short potato munchkin was here: home. Away from crying babies and lack of space.

"SAAAMAAAEHHH" Amy squealed spotting her friend and making a lot of noise. It wasn't like she was the only one though so eh. She skipped over to her friend and plonked herself opposite the blonde "how are you babeh?"

Sophie laughed softly. "That's interesting. It might have been weird for her in the beginning, I'm sure!" she said. She remembered her dad telling her about when he found out he was a wizard. His parents, both muggles, freaked out at first, but accepted the idea later on. "Some people say muggles and magical people can't get along. I think they're wrong. We can get along pretty well!"

Once again Sophie laughed. "Don't worry, sir, it's all going to be fine!" She was a good girl, after all. But... good girls were allowed to have fun too! She was glad everybody was so kind and people were taking her silly jokes nicely. She wouldn't know what to do if everybody was deadly serious all the time. That was just not her. At all.

She looked to the other people around Hufflepuff table and could not keep herself from smiling. She was loving it!

she quickly looking up from her plate and saw a boy who she did not know, "that is ok no harm done" she smiled at him "so you looking forward to the new year" she started at her plate again, was she talking too much

Eventually getting up from her seat, Nessie decided to go and greet some of her friends. It was stupid, to just sit alone and watch everyone talking, it was boring too. So she sort of forced herself to get up and be social. This year, she was going to be all about her friends. She would spend every second she got with them and she wouldn't be alone all the time, like she was last year.

She walked a little bit, when she noticed an older looking boy. He must have been at least one year older than her. He didn't look familiar, but for some reason Nessie didn't think he was completely new either. At the sound of what sounded like her name, Nessie looked backwards but continued walking forward as she did so. She started turning her head straight again, when she realized it wasn't her name that was being called, but it was too late...

BANG!

Without realzing it, Nessie had bumped into the older looking boy. She then tripped and fell on her back. She immidiately started blushing. This was so embarassing. She lay on the floor looking even more weird than before.

Alec blinked. Dangerous? What did Keefer mean when he said 'dangerous'? Oh right. There was help provided at Hogwarts. But that wasn't the thing he was about to comment on... "You got hurt?" CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! This boy was beyond good! "I'm glad no one did. Did Hufflepuff win the Championships?" It would be sad if they didn't win and Keefer had to get hurt. But maybe, as Captain, he didn't mind?

Alec nodded. Keefer had known the rules and strategies before flying. And he was now Captain! Alec now knew the rules and strategies... could he be Captain one day? If he did, he'd have Keefer to thank. Definitely. "I think you're good!" he said, smiling again at the older boy, "Really good. They made a good decision making you Captain."

And then Keefer suggested something that really brightened up Alec's day. A few pointers? "You'd do that for me?" he asked, "I'd like that, thanks!" Now he had a tour guide and someone to give him some pointers. Hogwarts didn't seem so bad now.



At Ness's words, Alec looked up and smiled nervously at the girl. So she had caught him looking at his reflection in some silverware, had she? But it wasn't his fault. It was her fault for making him think that there was something on his face. "Erm, thanks!" he said, "And, erm, you look good as well." There was no need to say that. Nor was there any need for Ness to wink at him! O_O

What... was that for?! She was calling him cute! AND! She was pinching his cheeks! What?! No one called him cute! No one! And no one pinched his cheeks! Ever! Did Ness think he was a baby? "Erm, thank you Miss Ness," Who was starting to scare him slightly. "I guess it's a good thing we're in the same house then." At least he knew now that someone found him cute.

This Ness was an odd sort of girl. Her lips were forming into... a pout? Was that what it was? But he wasn't going to concentrate on her lips because that was on the borderline of being creepy. "Oh!" Now he knew he didn't have a big sign above his head saying 'firstie'. A third year? "Why does that have to be shocking?" He didn't expect her to be a third year. But the cheek pinching kind of acted on her year's favour. If she was a firstie, she wouldn't have done that. Maybe. "You're pretty nice for a third year."

Minerva was in a trance with her spoon and thought when she heard Ame she blushed "I.. I'm sorry I didn't realize I was making to much noise." She looked around hoping no one else had been annoyed by her actions. That's when she realized Harvey had something as well. "I..well.." she could feel the anxiety in her taking over she had hid it so far. She looked back at Ame "I forgot to bring bag that has my medicine in it." she looked back at the table "sorry guys"

Jessie nodded. "Mom said it was a little weird at first, and it was even more weird when my brother and I started to show signs of being magical. But she got used to it over time." Jessie looked thoughtful . "I agree! I don't see why muggles and magical people can't get along! My parents have been happily married for fifteen years now! And we have plenty of muggle and magical friends!"

Harvey was smiling and then she spoke to him and Ame and spoke of her medication.. and he knew why she has played the banging spoon game.. "Its ok... dont be sorry... heck.. I will join you in this banging spoon game if it helps you.. either that or I am here for support.. see this shoulder " he said pointing at his shoulder "Its waiting for you to rest on it for a little while and use it to support yourself in times like these.... so whenever you are ready just use it.. that is what it is there for.." he said to her grinning at her.. he loved it when she used him for support as it showed that she loved the fact that he would help her..

Willow sat down at the Hufflepuff table and sighed. Her final year at Hogwarts was finally here... It had been a long seven years, and yet, they had almost passed her by... It was so hard to explain what she was feeling at this point in her young life. She still felt like a child, yet, would soon be out on her own.

Not realizing what she was doing, she grabbed a roll from a large bowl and began shredding it onto her plate. Scooping up a large dallop of jelly into a seperate plate, she absent-mindedly began spreading it onto the individual pieces and popping them into her mouth...

This would be an interesting year!

The Head Boy chuckled at her words. "Good." Hopefully. And if things weren't going to be all fine the least they could do was call him in or call Arya, and they'll try to help in whichever way possible.

Had they managed to get in trouble, that is.

Alyssa agreed with Treyen,"Yes that would be a good idea to ask Professor Hadley. They keep changing the rules around here, so she would be the best person to know. We definitely wouldn't want to lose house points or get detention for breaking one of the rules,"Alyssa told Treyen and Sophie.



"Well I was four at that time. So yeah I really thought I was a squib, especially since my twin was starting to develop hers. But then my gifts started developing after that." Alyssa still remembered that day, when she made her drink bottle float from the fridge to her.



Alyssa saw the look that Oakey gave her and wondered whether he'd figured out what she was up to. So she quickly looked away.



Alyssa saw a very familiar face and almost laughed when Daisy immediately started loading her plate the moment she sat down. Alyssa quickly ran over to her and hugged her,"Daisy, you have never changed. You always loved your food. How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages,"Alyssa told her friend, even though she had just seen her on the train.



"NESSIE!!" Alyssa squealed running over to her best friend and grabbing her in a hug."How have you been? I was worried that I wouldn't see you. I didn't see you on the train or in Diagon Alley or on King's Cross. How was your summer? Did everything turn out okay?" Alyssa asked with concern as Nessie looked tired.



"Hi Laura. How's it going? Having fun so far?"Alyssa smiled up at her new friend. "Come join us here and I'll try to introduce you to everyone as they come along."



Alyssa noticed the boy that was talking with Nessie. He looked new."Hi there, sorry to interrupt, but I just wanted to welcome you to Hogwarts and to the house of Hufflepuff. My name's Alyssa. What do you think about Hogwarts so far." Alyssa asked the younger boy.



Alyssa noticed the boy that she had met on the train sit nearby. So he's a Hufflepuff. "Hi Oscar, it's good to see that you're in Hufflepuff. I know that you weren't planning to be sorted into our House. But don't worry, you'll soon get to love it like the rest of us have done. Since it's your first time here, would you like a tour of the place. I've only been here one term but I think that I know my way around here." Alyssa said to Oscar.



Alyssa noticed an older boy sit down next to Oscar. It was Jory."Hey Jory, great to see you again. How's it going?" Alyssa stuck her head out waving to the boy who helped build their winning Snowbear last year.



'Uh oh. Another disappointed Sorting Hat student.' Alyssa sighed to herself. "Hi there, my name is Alyssa. It sounds like you're not too happy to be in Hufflepuff. I know everybody hopes to be Gryffindor or Slytherin or even Ravenclaw instead of our House, but the Sorting Hat really knows where you should be in. Believe me. I wanted to be in Gryffindor because all of my Dad's family were in there, but instead I got sorted into Hufflepuff. I was disappointed at first, but now I can't imagine myself being in any other house now. Believe me. You'll soon learn to love being in Hufflepuff like the rest of us do. Anyway, what do I call you?"Alyssa smiled trying to assure the boy.



Alyssa reassured Jessie,"Oh that person eventually gets sorted. It just takes a little longer but the Sorting Hat will eventually place you in a house. I've also heard that the Hat takes into account what house the student prefers."



"Yes sir. I'll make sure that I turn up for tryouts, Sir." Alyssa grinned at Keefer. She was definitely going to be showing for tryouts this year.



Alyssa smiled at Adeline."Hello Adeline. Nice to meet you. Welcome to the House of Hufflepuff. Believe me you won't regret being in it. I also heard you asking whether first years could try out in Quidditch. Why don't you turn up for try outs and see. You never know you could be picked." She encouraged the younger girl.



Alyssa smiled when she saw the younger boy that she had met on the train."Hey Alec, my young train buddy. You're in Hufflepuff? That's awesome. We're going to have lots of fun. I offered to show Oscar around the school, would you like to come too? We can do that once you've both settled in if you want."Alyssa asked Alec. She knew that she was going to be great buddies with him. In a sense he kind of reminded her of Kita. Sigh! She still missed her alot and always would.

Sammy jumped as she heard the high pitch munchkin that she knew as Amy. "AAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYY" she squealed back in delight once she managed to regain her balance. "I am good" she said nodding "Though i think the food missed wake up call" she added looking down the table and seeing that there was still no food to be seen anywhere on the table. Hufflepuffs needed food. Mainly this Hufflepuff. NEEDED. Sammy hardly ever went under an hour without eating. "Where the hell were you on the train? I had to suffer the whole trip with poodle-boy and his new guitar" she said pointing her fork at the brunette girl sitting across from her. Honestly, 'twas the most painful trip of her life. She had to refrain from destroying his new guitar herself.

Annabelle took a deep breath and took a seat near the end of the table. She was always nervous about making friends and she didn't mind eating alone. Hopefully she will make new friends this year.

Just as Alex took a sip of his juice, BAM! Something--or someone--collided RIGHT into him, causing him to yelp out in surprise and drop his juice ALL over the place. With surprising speed he pulled out his wand and waved it, soaking up all the juice with that nifty cleaning spell Anna had taught him over the summer. There. Crisis averted.

He turned to see what had been the cause of this sudden chaos when he noticed a girl lying right on her back behind him, blushing in embarrassment. Whoops. Hufflepuff collision! He chuckled and reached out a hand to help her up.

"You alright?" he asked her.

"Oh, that must have been scary! I don't know what I would do if I were a Squib! It must be horrible!"

"I know, right?!" Sophie really liked Jessie. They had a lot in common!

She was still looking up at Treyen, letting him know with her nicest smile that she was actually up to no... harm. When suddenly...

Sophie jumped with the noise and looked back. She saw a girl on the floor.
"Whoa, are you alright??" she asked looking down at the girl. She would get up as fast as she could to help her, but there were too many people sitting next to her and she couldn't move that fast.

It was only natural that he'd agree with what Alyssa was saying, mainly because he'd said it first, but the thing he was agreeing most was with the losing points bit. His eyes went straight to Bentley at the mention of points.

Three points he lost to her.

"Yeah, we definitely don't want that." Detention, that was the last thing on his mind.

Nod. Nod. Cale and Anna? Sierra had mentioned them before. His sister had been at school at the same time they were. He'd never asked Kaika about them, though, but he knew Anna was incredibly great with Potions.

"They already have kids?" he asked, not at all surprised. Aaron was already an uncle, he wasn't. "How old are they?" he was only curious. It was actually nice to see Alex's summer had been a great one, at least that's what his expression read.

Amethyst lit up a bit. Bag..? "You mean..." She opened her robes slightly pulling out her bag. "This one? Your mother gave me a spare." She smiled, as she whispered to her friend. "No need to be sorry, Champ!" She nodded, giggling.
She giggled and looked at Harvey. She pulled out a new set of robe for Harvey. Hufflepuff robes. "Harvey, You belong here." She giggled handing him the robes. "And 'd love to play the spoon game."

Tyler looked at the boy who had just walked up to him with a skeptical look on his face. He had just gotten sorted, how did he know it wasn't bad being in HufflePuff? Its not like he had been sorted into any of the other houses before. Pfft.

"And how do you know that it won't be so bad? My sister was in this house and she was so girly and sissy." He pouted. "It's just not fair."

Nice people? Nice people?!! Did he just miss him being attacked by that older boy and the crazy girl? These puffs were mental! "Did you not see that girl walking away? And that boy!?" He pointed at the third year too." There is nothing nice, about them."

Finally someone who understood what he was going through. He scooted a tiny bit closer to her and the disdainful look on his face lessoned considerably. Who would have thought a girl could get it?

"Well then maybe you should follow me to the staff table. I'm going to ask them to change my house." He said confidently. They had no reason to say no after all.
Tyler looked up at the much older boy and stood too. The gesture was not very impressive considering he was barely passing the boy's belly button. "What if I'm not ready to go yet?" He asked mimicking the boys action. "You don't scare me." He glared at him as best as he could.
He was being lectured to and he hated it. Haaaaaaaated it. Sure this girl wasn't attacking him either but he still didn't appreciate anyone else telling him, oh he should be happy about where the hat placed him and bladdy bladdy blah. Gah, why didn't the rest of them get it? Why couldn't they understand that he just wanted a simple move thats it.

"yeah yeah we'll see about that won't we?" He folded his arms on the table and rested his head on them. Sigh..yeah this was a bloody nightmare.

Amy herself looked up and down the table, and was depressed to see it still hadn't got the idea of food first, boring speeches second. "I think it did" Amy nodded mournfully, at the leaving feast they'd left out the pizza and that had almost made Amy have a breakdown. Almost. But just as Amy was about to be nice and social and friendly and possibly eat the table, Sammy was going ape crazy. "I"-Wut? He had brought a new guitar.

"I didn't know" she said meekly, "I got locked in the loo for the whole journey"

Aaaaaand, he'd been wrong.

This kid was actually adorable. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes and laugh at him, because that would hardly solve anything, but the smirk was there on his face.

"If you're not ready...then that means you don't truly belong there." Wink.

Aaaaaand, now he laughed.

"That's actually great. I don't mean to scare you at all." Which was awfully true. He didn't mean for that to happen. GRANTED, some respect was wanted...see the badge? "I'm Treyen, by the way."

Ella sat down quickly and looked around her with what she hoped was an inviting smile. She really wanted to make friends. Feeling quite out of place, she decided a mental pep talk was in order. OK El, put on a brave face. You're going to make lots of friends and they're going to love you. She let out a little laugh and rolled her eyes, remembering her mother giving her a similar talk while they packed her trunk. She felt the tiniest bit homesick but pushed the feeling aside. She had promised herself she was going to enjoy every moment of her first year.

Sophie saw the new girl sitting close to her and smiled. "Hello! I'm Sophie Campbell!" she said waving. The little girl couldn't be anything but a first-year. "I'm new around here too, but welcome to Hufflepuff! I'm sure you're going to love it!"

Well, hurt may have been a bit drastic. "I got hit by a Bludger in the side. No big deal. It just left a big bruise for awhile." That was an understatement. And unfortunately we lost to Slytherin. They had a star Seeker. We did too, but in the end Slytherin was just better all around.[/B]" Unfortunately. "I wasn't Captain last year, so that made it a bit easier to take, but it was still hard."

Wow, what a compliment. "Well, you haven't even seen me play, so don't mind me if I take that with a grain of salt," he said, winking. "And sure, why not? I like you and I'd be happy to help out, especially if you try out and make the team!" Which wasn't likely for a first year, but had been known to happen before. "And that goes for other stuff as well. Questions about class, homework, whatever. Just not girls. I'm terrible with the girls" he finished, half serious and half kidding.

"Excellent, soldier! We need more good women like you." And it was true. Good Beaters are hard to come by. Though depending on the lineup, Alyssa may play a different position this year.

Ella looked around, surprised that someone was speaking to her. Come on El, don't be a dope. Say something. "Hi Sophie! I'm Ella. Thanks for the welcome!" Ella smiled, this girl seemed really nice and she was happy to have someone to talk to. "How was your train ride to Hogwarts?"
