WAAAAAAH!
So that was what you got for helping out a nerdy little kid? Although Theo was nerdy enough himself, so he shouldn't be making judgments. Homicide? Ungratefulness?

Murder in the greenhouses! MURDER! After the pixies had been dispersed, Theodore had received no time at all to get out of the way. He had been ready to walk away, to see if any of his friends needed help, but before he knew it a heap of gangly limbs was falling on top of him and all he could do was scream.

To add insult to injury, it seemed as if the wee lad's allergies were acting up again. He was sneezing... in Theo's face. Which made Theo sneeze at least once or twice. Scrambling out from under the sickly child, he turned away from the scene and felt like heaving into the nearest potted plant. Germs on his face... first year germs. GET 'EM OFF!

"I think I need the hospital wing," He choked out, a hand on his throat in response to the nameless kid's inquiry. The eagle was being a bit melodramatic, but that had been a semi-traumatizing experience. Blinking slowly and twice, a bit dazed, he placed his other hand on the side of a wooden table to steady himself. "Good aim, you have, though," Theo coughed out, punching his chest lightly. Although he wasn't too happy with the four-eyed medical wonder, being an older student meant that he had to be cordial to some degree.

Gaining a bit more sanity after that frightening episode, Theodore turned from the brunette boy when he heard whimpering off to the side. She looked familiar, as if he had seen her in the common room before. And not just familiar, but hurt. "Are you alright?" He asked, gesturing that allergy boy should come over and be put to some use. "You look... pained." That hadn't been a compliment, but it was true. The hospital wing did seem like it was calling out to him, but not to de-germify him after the accident; rather, to help out this small girl in need.

Sage finally reached the last toadstool cap she needed. She twisted and pulled and it simply popped right off!

Well, that was easy!

Sage thought as she pulled out the three caps she had collected. Just then a few of the pixies flew over and hovered about Sage's head. She glared at them suspiciously, daring them to try something.

As if reading her mind, one of the pixie's advanced on her and started tugging on her hair! After that one started, the rest followed!

"Pixies!!! Get 'em off me! Get 'em off me!! Ahhhh!!!" Sage said swatting furiously at the pixies tugging at her hair!

Ow!, Dang pixies, she could feel her ear burning as the little blue deamon pulled her against her will. Until....until someone had pulled it off?

Not just pulled it off. Sent it across the room
Eris' eyes lit up with awe. "Tha-Thanks" she managed before giving a huge toothy smile, rubbing her sore ear. "That was brilliant!"

The little witch still didn't trust herself enough to use the spell, that the boy had just used to send the pixie hurtling away.

Now, she could pick her final cap in peace.

"Can you hold the fort while I get the next one?" she grinned, beginning to twist off her last cap.

Eris grinned, in a manner that could almost be frighteningly described as wicked. "Oh, i'm ready....." she replied, fisting her palms as though for a warm up.

"Don't worry Daichi, we got your back" she winked. Pixie fighting was seemingly almost more fun that the actual harvesting on the caps.

Was this a good mindset? Who knew. But Eris was content.

Jayden marched over to the last toadstool she needed to complete the task. "Stupefy, Imobulus!" She cried out, pointing her wand at the two pixies that had gotten in her way, trying to protect their precious toadstool. One by one they fell. "Oh, thank Merlin." Jayden muttered to herself. She then grabbed the toadstool, and with a swift 'yank' the cap was removed. Jayden gathered the three caps and placed them swiftly in the jar. "HA. Take that, darn pixies."

Quickly, Vashti moved on to another toadstool, but just as she reached for the cap, four pixies flew over. Instinctively, she pointed her wand once more and cast, "Immobulus!" But only one pixie was hit - the other three zoomed forward to attack. Two started yanking on her hair, and the other went for her wand.

She tugged and flailed and moved her wand hand around and around until she finally managed to shake the pixie off, ignoring the ones in her hair. "Stupefy!" she said, aiming for the pixie she'd just shaken off. The little creature froze absurdly in the air for a moment before gravity suddenly took over. Quickly the sixth year reached out a hand and caught it just before it hit the ground. As she set it on the table by the pixie she'd frozen before, she swatted crazily at the pixies pulling at her hair. "Go away!"

As if they'd obey that.

She did managed to whack one of them with her hand though, and the pixie went sailing to the ground with a squeak. The other, seeing its little friend fall, dropped the strand of hair it had been holding and flew after its friend. "Immobulus!" The spell shot out of the end of her wand and both pixies froze immediately, one just a couple inches above the ground, the other a couple inches above that. Vashti grabbed them both and set them by the rest, letting out a sigh. Merlin, how many more of these would she have to deal with?

She walked back over to the toadstool once again, grabbed the cap, and twisted it off. Then she went and set it into the box where all the others were.

One more. Only one more, and she'd be done.

The Pixie was half dragging him away from his precious peppermint harvest when he could feel another spell (or two) fly right by his head. Suddenly he stopped moving, but his arm was still up in the air-- the Pixie was stunned and immobilized. "Good job kiddo!" he smiled again and gave her a thumbs up. He has got to get that kid's name. He isnt one to be ungrateful.

Dragging his arm back down (with the Pixie still attached to it) he plucked off the blue demon and glared at it. It seems like he's acquiring these creatures even more so than his supposed harvest. He tossed the Pixie along with the first one and reached out to grab the toadstool, pocketing it quickly. Hah! two down, one to go.

Just as he shifted his position to make quick work of the 3rd toadstool anoteh Pixie zoomed at him straight on, landing on his chest and attempted to steal his badge. "Oh heck naww!!!" he growled as he wrestled with the Pixie, trying to keep his badge on his shirt where it belongs. But the Pixie was one determined little demon, slowly tug, tugging until it was ripping the shirt that held the badge. Salander has had quite enough of these little vermins....

*Head-butt!*

..... and down goes the Pixie.

Salander nursed his head with his hand but was point POINTING at his downed quarter sized opponent in jubilation "Haha! What do you say Pixie eh? Who's left standing huh? Nothing beats this noggin." he cackled as he knocked his head proudly and painfully "Thats right! More hard-headed than you since 2056! "


With a huff he twisted off the last toadstool then sauntered off to the box where the Professor advised to drop the collected specimen. "These things must really cost dont they Professor? I mean the trouble to harvest these things..."

Justin had stunned another pixie and was getting ready to remove his third cap when he heard a girl screaming. He quickly pulled the cap off and deposited them in the box as instructed.



Justin turned in the girls direction pulled out his wand , " STUPIFY! " he yelled as he pointed his wand towards the pixies that were swarming her.

Sage stopped, her arms hung in the air. She glanced up to she the pixies that had been previously attacking her frozen. Sage glanced around before spotting the boy who had helped her.

Sage quickley pocketed her three caps and rushed away from the pixies.

"Thanks!" Sage said breathlessly. She ran her fingers through her hair, getting all the tangles out.

Eino only had to collect one more before he could clean his pooped on robes and rest. This was definitely a work out. Maybe Borr should have made them chase pixies instead of jogging last them because this task was much more difficult, and also a lot more fun. Eino proceeded towards one of the plants, with his wand ready, expecting a pixie to pop out and chase him. Nothing happened. He walker closer and closer to the plant but all the pixies he could see where chasing other students. Maybe there weren't any left? What a relief! He ran towards the plant, grabbed the cap, twist, and cap acquired! Well, that was easy.

He turned around to make his return and deposit the cap in the box when he found himself face to face with a pixie. Yes, the nasty little creature had been waiting all along. Now that Eino had both hands busy, it would be easier for it to mess with him! Smart little thing. Eino made a run for it, he wanted to place the cap safely in the box before confronting the pixie, but the create was not going to let him escape. It grabbed his heel and tripped him, but Eino quickly turned around and fell on his bottom so the cap was safe. He pointed his wand at the pixie, cast the freezing charm, but missed and the pixie began to revolve around him giggling and mocking him.

Eino stood up and made run for the box again and he held the cap safely against his chest with his left hand and his wand ready with his right hand. Once again the pixie came face to face with him, he cast the charm a second time, and missed, but cleared the way so he continued to run. The pixie was following closely behind when Eino halted suddenly, causing the pixie to fly right into his back. The creature was too light to knock him over, but having hit him, the pixie was now on the ground, recovering. One last time Eino pointed his wand and exclaimed, "Immobulus!" Hit! The pixie was frozen and Eino made a safe return to the box, where he placed the third cap. Phew, done!

Will still felt terrible for falling on the Prefect, but he did not expect such a performance from the seventh year. It's not like Will weighed that much, being a puny first-year and all. But Will's skepticism was forgotten for a girl nearby the two of them had gotten more hurt than either of them. Wiping the dirt and grime and snot from his wand and robes, Will ran over to the girl.
"Are you alright?" he asked her, seeing that she was nursing her leg. "Do you need to go to the Hospital Wing?" He was just a first-year, and thought it was more appropriate for this Ravenclaw Prefect to assist her, but Will wasn't sure if his theatrics would serve beneficial help.

Selina had to admit that she was nodding off during Herbology. It was not as if she had intended to fall asleep in class, but she had not gotten enough sleep the night before and as she had thought when she first entered the classroom- it should be illegal to have classes before 10 o'clock in the morning. Or even twelve. She was flexible.

However, her little nap from the back of the greenhouse was interrupted by a splash of water in her face. Who was squirting her in the face with water? Her blue eyes shot open and standing in front of her in a rather sassy manner was a devilish pixie. Selina drew her wand, stuck it at the thing's nose and said with a smirk, "Stupefy!" She was about to put her wand away when she noticed that they were flying all over the place and her peers were playing a game of stupefy the pixies and get the caps. She wanted to play... game on.

"Five points from Ravenclaw... follow instructions please," she said offering the Ravenclaw a smile. Seriously kids... stupefy and immobulus only. She had said nothing about being allowed to use diffindo! "Just a safety issue dear.. nothing personal."


On the plus side, the students were doing very well, and it was SO LOVELY to see them all working together... to help one another out. Great socialisation skills.
"Well done everyone!" she called over the chaos.

"Once you have finished the activity you may be dismissed, enjoy the rest of the day and I will see you all again shortly. The homework announcement will be posted sometime after the lesson, please see your common room notice boards or alternatively the Herbology notice board. Thank you!"

Angelina ran around to get the next pixie, to make her third and final cap. None of the pixies at the moment seemed to bother her, so she went off to a classmate that was surrounded by them. She ran over to one stupefied it. Once it Angelina new it was save to grabe the pixie. She grabbed it and went and dropped it into the box. Then she was done with the pixies finally! And was ready to relax from all her work running around trying catch the little pixie creachers.

Was the final cap removal going to be more simple than all the others combined, Damon was not sure what would happen as each turn at trying to remove and harvest a cap was getting tougher. This time he twister the cap in a more urgent fashion but this time 4 pixies came out and they flew in his face. Damon wanted to panic there were so many of them

Mustering all of the strength that he could he stunned as many as could and as if by a moments notice the other pixies retreated. Damon put them in an area away from the toadstools as he removed this last cap which was a bit heavy this time around and dumped it in the box.. The third one was done but now he figured he had pixies all over the place to deal with.

Amethyst took several deep breaths she'd seen several students get bitten and taunted by the some-what cute pixies. She pulled on her dragon hide gloves as she kept her wand close. She walked up to one 'stool ready to take off the cap.

Three little pixies smiled at her. "Aww! How cute are you three!" Amethyst giggled, but she knew she was in for at least a tug at the hair. She smiled softly.





Ten seconds later...

"SOMEONE HELP ME!" Ame was being bitten all over the place, as her long hair was being pulled hard, wand still in hand.

Second toadstool, ok. Maddy twisted the cap, this one was giving her a hard time. She twisted the cap a little harder. With a loud rip, the cap came of and Maddy staggered backwards, almost all the way to the box where she turned arround and dropped the cap in with the others.

Emmaleigh had followed Professor Bentley and the rest of the students further into the greenhouse. She had her wand holstered, gloves on her hands, and she had tied her towel around her neck like a cape. She didn't know if she was going to need her towel, but it was better to be safe than sorry. She had listened intently as the professor explained about the new toadstools, and swallowed hard at the mention of pixies. This was going to be exciting.
Even though her wand was holstered, she would be ready to cast a spell with just the flick of her wrist. making her way to her first intended target, she leaned down and and grasped the stalk with one hand and the cap with the other. Giving it a quick twist, the cap came right off. See, that wasn't so hard, she thought as she sat the cap aside. Just as the cap was placed on the table, Em saw a blue blur heading her way. With a quick motion, she unholstered her wand and pointed it at the creature as she said "Protego". The pixie hit the shield charm, bounced off of it, and landed on the floor.

Now for the next one and Gideon hoped it might get easier from here. Grabbing a hold of the cap of the second toadstool, he slowly twisted it to get it off, thinking for a moment perhaps if he didn't disturb the pixies so quickly and startling then maybe they wouldn't be so quick to attack.

No dice. No sooner had he gotten the cap mostly loose did the Gryffindor get bombarded by the creatures. "Immobulus!" he cast catching one while the other got past him and like so many of his brothers with the other students....went for the hair. "Ow..." he exclaimed as it pulled at his curls and he swatted it away.

"Stupefy!" he cast once it got free and he could then turn to aim at it better. This time Gideon was successful and with the attackers frozen, he finished the job of getting the toadstool cap off, adding it to the other he had previously taken off.

Whaaaat?! So nobody was going to volunteer to help her?! Even after she'd helped two different Ravenclaws in one lesson?!

Well fine.

She'd just do it herself. She didn't need anyone's help anyway. Hmph. Sierra turned around gave the Pixies her most intense glare. "Stupefy! Take that!" Sierra called out, waving her wand toward the Pixies. "Stupefy!" She felt like kicking one or two...or three or four..., but the spell seemed to working just fine.

She took the opportunity to try and harvest a third cap. She'd overheard that they could go as soon as they were finished, so her plan was to quickly harvest that last cap, drop it in the box, and leave the others to fight off the rest of the Pixies. Nobody was helping her after all.

She put the palm of her hand on top of the mushroom and twisted. Off the cap went, and she quickly deposited it in the box before any Pixies could catch her movements and come out to play again. Fighting off a family of them had been more than enough, thank you very much.

Kimalia hearing the cries for help nearly shook her as she turned to the yelling voice. "Calm down now." She pointed her wand at the perpetrators before shouting "Immobulus!" freezing them before she flicked them away from the girl. "As long as you shout Stupefy or Immobulus with your wand pointed at them, they'll freeze." Kimalia smiled kindly at her. Now she had to get back to guarding the deposit box where the other deposited caps lay.

Right. Third and last toadstool. Let's make this quick.

Raising her wand, Vashti reached her left hand out towards the toadstool - and as expected, a couple pixies flew over. "Immobulus!" she cast immediately, grinning when the spell actually hit both of them this time before they could attack her. YES! For once, things were actually going her way.

Snatching them both from the air with her free hand, she set them with their buddies on the table then went back to her toadstool, gripped the cap, and twisted it clean off its stem. She dropped it into the designated box with the others and breathed a sigh of relief.

There. Done.

"I dropped it while I was fighting off a pixie" Maddy told him " right arround here" she gestured to the floor underneath the table "I've been looking but it's disappeared". She assumed a pixie picked it up. Maddy was glad to hear that wands were usually difficult to break. "And I have hornbeam, thats supposed to be a very durable wood".So Maddy thought it must be intact.

Elsie took the chance to harvest her first cap whilst there were no pixies there. It wasn't quite as hard as pulling out the fangs as it came off quite easily. She smiled at herself. What was all the fuss about?

Suddenly a pixie came out of nowhere biting her fingers causing her to drop her wand. "Ouch!" It was the second time in one lesson, Elsie decided she didn't like pixies, at all! He wand tumbled to the ground and before Elsie knew it the Pixie had it in her hand. Elsie started to chase after it.
"Can Someone Please help me? A pixie has stolen my wand." She yelled out to no one in particular as she chased the pixie around the classroom.

Hearing a familiar voice yell something out caused Sarah to turn her head away from the devilish little monsters in front of her. The person in question was her friend, Ame. Oh, man.

"Smack 'em!" she yelled, running over to save her poor friend.

She had absolutely no idea how to stun a pixie. All she'd been doing was enduring. But then again, she hadn't been ambushed.

Upon arriving at pretty much the other end of the greenhouse, she had a vague idea of the incantation for stunning. Something like... stup... ify? Stoopiffy? No... c'mon, c'mon... stup...efy? Stupefy!

"Gah!" the pixies started to attack her, now. "STUPEFY!" she yelled, closing her eyes and flinching. Why were these pixies meaner than hers.

She opened an eye. One less pixie. "Ame, use stupefy," she called, calmer now, almost curious. She stared a pixie currently attempting to drag her by her hair, "Stupefy." she said. The fairy froze and dropped as Sarah watched in child-like wonder. Interesting.

Stupefy, stupefy stupefy.

Nasty little buggers. They deserved to be driven to the ground. Sarah stared down at the fallen pixies, she blinked, then looked up at Amethyst. "Well..."

Selina was throwing spells all about at the nasty little buggers in the room. Whose brilliant idea was it to let lose these buggers? Oh yeah, that's right, she didn't know because she had fallen asleep. But she did not have time to get angry at the sleeping she had done because another Pixie ran right at her and she threw a spell at it, "Immobulus!"

It froze and her eye caught a cap. She ran over to it and twisted it free. Then she saw that she had indeed gotten it and it was her first one- victory!
