Carter let out a relieved sigh. "Oh good." he said. Although, by the way Destiny had stolen his badge he should have guessed she'd keep an eye on it.

"Well, I'll need it back Saturday morning. I'll be holding my first set of quidditch trials then." he said re-taking his seat. "Or you can just give it back now. I'd like to give all the hopefuls the opportunity to..." fear me "see who I am before try-outs."

And fear him. That was important too.

He then coughed on some potatoes that Destiny had spoon-fed him. Why was she feeding him? Was she finally willing to share? (Because everyone knew the Slytherin table had the best potatoes.)

He grabbed a spoon and helped himself to her bowl.

"Well, I know where sound comes from Destiny." he said sarcastically. "I meant... It'll be a little weird being in charge, you know?"

Matt wasn't exactly sure what to think about the whole Divination classroom being moved since it seemed rather odd, none of the classrooms had been moved around or really anything of that sort while he had been at the school the past couple of years. It was all too weird. He rested his chin on his hand as he listened to Stella speak. Wait, had she not heard anything? "Yeah, I was speaking with a few of my housemates about it. I'm not sure if the other houses have found out yet since I really haven't gotten around to asking." Maybe it was just the Slytherins making up stories? He doubted that was the case since he did have trust in the rest of his house. That definitely would be the kind of story that Raven would come up with but she can't be behind this at all. "Well depends on your definition of weird, last term the professors were acting like pirates and the term before that we had muggles found on the school grounds. It's never a dull moment around here." That was quite true, you never knew what was going to happen until it happened.

As she asked about Raven, he stopped to think about exactly how to arrange what he wanted to say without it sounding either really rude or a bit odd. "She does. I mean, not all of them are bad since she does try to help but at other times her comments aren't exactly useful. Like the time she wanted to give me a guideline on how to act like a better Slytherin, though that definitely isn't needed." An idea like that from her was definitely troubling since he wasn't about to act like a complete fool. Not unless it was by his own decision. "But spending time with her wasn't all bad, the only thing is now that our owls don't get along. Gidget seems to not like Belkin for some reason, probably because she's got issues with other owls being around her." He couldn't believe that his owl was a bit too aggressive but maybe that would be something that could have easily been fixed.

Caroline turned to Jai after shallowing her pumpkin juice. "Yeah, I am, too." Her eyes were just about to go back to her food where she seen something. She blinked a few times. Did she just see Destiny feeding Carter?

She couldn't decide if she found this hilarious or horrifying. She looked back at Jai. Hoping he didn't see that she was looking over at Carter and Destiny. Wow his plate was empty "Wow you're finished." Caroline had hardly ate two bites of her since they sat down.

It was a good thing Destiny had swallowed the mouthful of potatoes she had in her mouth, or else she would have choked when she heard Carter mention when he needed his badge back. Saturday? SATURDAY!? That was.. that was this week! She wasn't ready to give it back, she had just got it. But then again, she really had no concept of time.. so she didn't know how long she really had it for. Her mouth had opened, to tell him that he didn't need the badge before try-outs, and that was not what they agreed on, when he all of a sudden changed his mind.

He wanted it right then. Right at that moment.

It was a good thing she had shoved that spoon into his mouth or he probably would have held his hand out waiting for her to hand it over. She ignored his choking. "I'm pretty sure they know who you are. You should be holding a clipboard." It was what she would be doing.

She watched him for a moment as he STOLE her potatoes before scooting even further away from him. She lost her appetite.. and she knew what needed to be done. And it was not give the badge back. Adjusting herself, so her legs hung on either side of the bench, she watched the Gryffindor a little longer. And even decided to answer his question. "No. No I do not know that it'll be a little weird being in charge." In case he forgot, he was making her give his badge back..

Digging into her pocket, pulling the badge from her pocket, she dangled it in front of him. "If you want it, you'll have to caaatch me!" And not waiting for any type of response, she hopped from the bench and ran towards the doors.

"They won't be able to see my clipboard from the sky." Carter replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Not that they could see a little red badge either. He just wanted it back for moral support. It would make him feel better to have it.

He shrugged. Well, it was weird. That was his point. It wasn't his fault if she didn't understand.

"Wait what?" he asked. She wanted him to... chase her? But... but she was already gone! How was that fair? And what about rules? They hadn't established those yet either. What if she locked herself in the girl's bathroom?

Carter quickly took another bite of potatoes before bolting off after Destiny. He was getting his badge back. And apparently he was getting it back after catching her...

Of course, if he was thinking properly he would have just used a leg-locker curse on the snake.

Stella couldn't quite tell what Matt was thinking, watching his reaction to their discussion of the Divination mystery. Of course, she could barely decide what she was thinking about the subject, but usually she was pretty good at telling if people were hiding anything at least. And it didn't seem like he was, but she just couldn't tell. He'd not seemed surprised at least, until she'd admitted she hadn't known about it moving, and she shook her head slowly as he spoke. "I hadn't heard anything, and I know of at least one other Ravenclaw who hadn't known anything. But maybe that's just because it had moved down here?," she replied. At least, the main level was c loser to the dungeons, and that was where the Slytherins were based. As far as she knew. "I guess we'll find out for sure when the first lesson gets announced." They'd have to say where to go. Hopefully it wouldn't be some sort of scavenger hunt to find the lesson, because she thought they were still going to be taught the subject.

The topic of his cousin also seemed to be something that made him thoughtful, which piqued her curiosity. Of course, she couldn't say she knew too much about Raven, not having really met the older girl too often. Once, really, and that couldn't be said to have gone over very well. It didn't really bother her, though, and she listened as he finally spoke without too much bias. "I would think advice like that would be subjective anyhow. Not everyone would see better as acting one way over any other way, at least," she said, letting Lyra go back to prowling along the bench again as she shrugged slightly. "Maybe having Gidget here will help, at least when it comes to Raven and her owl. Hopefully she doesn't cause too many problems with all the other owls at school." Not that she could really relate, since she didn't have an owl here at Hogwarts, and her parents probably wouldn't send her any owls from home for a month or so. Letting her settle in before asking any questions.

While Raven was busy ate her breakfast, She notice that Chelsea was very closed with a boy who wear blue-bronze tie. Waw, she just got boyfriend here Raven thought. After she finished her breakfast, she walked into Chelsea's seat and greeted her (also wanted to tease her )

"Hey Chelsea, is He your boyfriend?" teased Raven.

Chelsea noticed someone standing behind here. "Hey Raven" she said. And here comes the teasing of a few classmates but it was expected and she didn't take is seriously. "Yes he is" she looked over to Scott. She figured it would be ok to say it since he told her that they are together.

Did she get my statement so seriously? Raven just wanted to tease her actually


"Hohoho.. your boyfriend looks nice Hopefully both of you will be happy together." Raven noticed that the Ravenclaw boy looked strange for sat in slytherin table.

"Hey, don't be afraid. The slytherins will not beat you " teased her to the boy

"Don't you join herbology class? it will be starting soon. I'm gonna be there. See ya " Then Raven left both of them with giggle, She really loved to tease people.

Katrina looked at the girl and thought that she was hungry so she left her to eat. Katrina ate also and drank from the goblet.

"I suppose" he said softly.
"I did too" he said smiling, thinking about when potions was so they could be partners.
"You're the loveliest person I've ever met, you know that?" he said happily "And I love being with you" he smiled again.
The Slytherins he had met were all sarky and teased each-other.

He grinned. "I like both my feet standing firmly on the ground. The thing with the muggle primary school is a pretty good idea however! I was home-schooled all the way."
He watched her drinking her tea. "Yeah, my family were proud that I was going to be a Slytherin aswell.", he said and remembered the happy and excited expressions in his parents faces when they found out the good news. "But it's not like they're pureblood fanatics or something. I don't care, I am what I am. It's only the weak that limit themselves to the dark arts or a pureblood-thing."
During all the talk, he had nearly forgotten to eat, so when his stomach gave an angry roar, he finally emptkied ther est of his plate and emptied his glass.

Jai laughed and said,"I was hungry." He saw her look around a bit and wasn't sure why."Hey you don't have to worry about what others are gonna think. You I'll back you up. And you can talk to me about whatever you feel comfortable talking to me about." he said, touching her arm gently.

He cocked an eyebrow when he looked up and saw Carter being fed by another girl. It was not a common sight but then his expression sobered when he realized he hadn't spoken to Carter in months. He had to admit, he missed his friend but wasn't sure how trying to strike up a conversation would go. Jai shook his head slightly at his racing thoughts and looked back at Caroline.

She smiled. "Really? So what your saying is you wont leave me?" she asked. "Your so sweet I feel so lucky to be with you" she said. He was such an amazing guy most guys were so self obsessed.

"Of course I won't" he laughed, it felt out of place, but he found it funny.
"Likewise" he smiled, he couldn't really think of things to say, he wasn't very good at the lovey-dovey soppy talk.
He was so happy with her, "So we've got Herbology soon" he said, his face playfully dropping.
"Your friend seems very, ermmh, interesting" he joked.

"Good and I wont leave you. But I had to ask cause normally I don't let people close to me so quick. But with you it feels different" she smiled.
"Yeah not looking forward to Herbology I know its going to be my worst class and I will get lectured by my aunt for it"
She laughed "Yeah I haven't talked to her much really" she said.

He smiled the warmest he had ever smiled.
"Oh god yes! It sounds SO boring and unnecessary" he paused "I suppose the only thing it will help with is Potions, but not very much" he said softly.
He laughed with her "I can tell" he chuckled.

She laughed "I know my aunt will see my grade for Herbology she'll lecture me most likely my aunt and uncle are kinda strict about my grades. I can't wait for potions I hope the Professor doesn't assign partners herself but potions is something we'll actually use unlike herbology" she said. She hated herbology it was so boring. "I wonder when the trips to Hogsmeade will start I can't wait to go"

"That's a shame" he sighed. "But I'm sure you'll do well" he smiled then continued "Better than me" he laughed. "I really hope we're Potions partners it will be so much fun" he smiled again. He hated Herbology too, they were on the same wavelength.
"Me too!" he said enthusiastically "Especially the sweets" he chuckled.

"I'm sure we'll both do fine but all I want to do is sleep in that class its so pointless" she said. She wondered why it was even required its not like she wanted to be a healer like her aunt. "Potions will be so much fun I can't wait" she smiled.

"I just want to get off the grounds of the school for awhile well and the sweets..." she laughed. "Its already bad enough I have to spend a few days of my Christmas break at the ministry this year. So I can't wait to get off the grounds and actually do something fun" she said.

"Ahh, sleep." he thought of how much better it would be if he didn't have to do Herbology or Divination. "I'm so excited, the professor still seems a bit intimidating but we've already had to cope with Professor Schirmer so I'm sure it will be fine" he smiled.
Hogwarts was huge, but it still felt a bit restricted. He agreed with her on getting off the grounds, Hogsmeade sounded fun!
"I agree" he smiled. "The ministry sounds interesting! I'd love to go there" he gazed in wonder, and then realized he was staring at another student, and looked away quickly.

"I still can't believe in DADA Slytherin got 30 more points taken away" she said. "Well I'm going to the ministry for a trial so its not like I get to look around" she said.

"At least potions is a class we actually can learn something in and it will be useful" she laughed. Herbology and Divination was such a joke.

"I know!" he exclaimed. "They should know better than that, I believe they were fifth years as well!" They were embarrassments and he was glad that the Ravenclaw students weren't so immature. "I felt sorry for you though" he smiled.

30 points. THIRTY. That's a lot to be taken away immediately.
60 really as both Gryffindor and Slytherin were deducted points.

"Yeah" he laughed along "Charms was a bit, err..boring too." he continued "But it was our first lesson, and you have to start somewhere" he smiled.

"I know! I feel embarrassed to actually be in this house I'm more mature and I'm a first year! That was a lot of points to take away at one time normally its like 5 but it was 30 this time. We were also the first to loose points on the first day also" she said. Some of the Slytherins were making such a bad name for house.

"I agree that Charms is a bit boring hopefully it will get better. I'm still trying to think of what elective I'm going to take this year" she smiled.

"Slytherin has gotten quite a bad name so far" he said, then he remembered "Ravenclaw has some pretty nasty people though" he added.
He sighed and then thought about what he'd do tomorrow, he was exhausted and by this point almost falling on her.
"I'm really sorry but I'm going to go to bed now, see you tomorrow." he kissed her and then said "Goodnight" whilst smiling and walked towards the common room.
