Pausing slightly from his train of thought as he heard the loud sound of purring coming from a direction that had been around him, looking up slightly; he noticed a cat sitting in Stella's lap. Apparently it seemed that he had forgotten the fact that she ever had had a cat but with the school being in the state it was, that really wasn't surprising. When she brought up the Divination classroom, he nodded slightly since he knew exactly what she was talking about. "Ah yes from the last I had heard; it moved to the main level. There's all sorts of stories going around about why that had happened but I'm not willing to believe a thing until I find out what's actually going on. Between the house elves acting strange and now this, something definitely weird is going on here." He wasn't about to go on with his theories of the Ministry's involvement again since even to him it sounded rather strange, but nothing was ever certain anymore which did make finding out the truth all that much more difficult.

When she started talking about her summer, he oddly felt the need to interrupt but that wasn't going to happen since there was no need to be rude whatsoever. "Oh right the carnival, I would have loved to go but I ended up going back home for awhile since I wanted to do a couple things at my old school. We did get that fixed earlier than expected which was good, it gave me the chance to actually speak to Raven without hearing any of her 'helpful suggestions'." The summer had definitely been ridiculous, between the whole family situation and having to stay at his cousin's apartment while he was in London but that was fine.

"Aw, really now?" Kimalia was a little shocked to hear that, but shrugged it off. "That's too bad to hear, it's quite an adrenaline rush." She kept her smile on during his talk about Muggles. "No, no, It's quite alright, I'm not a big fan of Muggles myself, I just have some experience being around them when I went to a muggle primary school. " Kimalia felt her tea must be cool enough to sip now, which to her delight it was! "My mum's idea, see she felt positive that I would be into Ravenclaw when I first showed magic signs and felt it prudent I start at a muggle school to know how they live and stuff." She took another sip of the herbal tea. "And well, my dad was more than delighted when he heard there was another snake in the family."

Ah, so he liked potions. "Potions, that's a healthy subject." Kimalia nodded in agreement. "And you're right, there's loads of time to figure everything out."

Caroline followed Jai into great hall. To her surprise they were going over to her house table. She sat down beside him. Poured herself a goblet of Pumpkin juice, and pulled my plate closer to her. She didn't know what to said she just stared down at her eggs and bacon. She picked up her folk poked at the eggs a few times. "So, are you ready to start lessons?" She asked, her eyes shifting in his direction.

Destiny had seen him even before he reached the table and already she knew why he was heading over to it. Any other time, it would have been because of the potatoes, because she knew the Slytherin table had the best ones, but this time.. he was going to take her badge away!

She was pretty sure Carter said she could keep it. Until he had a game. Not practice. And even if that's not what he said, she had thought it, so that was how it was going to work from now on.

Slowly, as not to draw attention to herself, she removed the badge from the front of her robes, and slipping it into her pocket, she pulled her hood up and over her head.

And then she went back to eating her potatoes.

Carter narrowed his eyes when he noticed someone eating potatoes. He watched closely.

His eyes widened.

"I'd know that potato appetite anywhere!" he declared. "Don't tell me you've already lost my badge!" he said climbing over the table to get a good look at her robes.

It was obvious she had. Why else would she be hiding from him?

"I've got tryouts this weekend! How am I supposed to yell at everyone with out that?"

More importantly...

How was he going to yell at people in general? He wasn't the yelling type.

Except when it came to Marie.

Destiny KNEW she should have switched what she was eating. Honestly, who other that herself would sit at a table FULL of food, and the only thing they had in front of them was a HUGE bowl of potatoes? She had yet to see anyone else..

.. except Carter, but he didn't count because he was now climbing over the table to get to her.

Hugging the bowl she was eating from, she slowly removed the hood from her head. "I did not lose it." She was pretty sure she said she wasn't going to do that. And if there was one thing about Destiny Shepard, it was that she kept her promises! Or she'd like to think she did. Usually she forgot about the promises she made. Ehh. Sliding away from him, she spooned some more potatoes into her mouth.

And what he said next almost made her choke from trying not to laugh. Carter. Yell at people!? Who would be scared of him!? Bwaha! "I don't know, maybe you should use your mouth." And just so he knew where his mouth was, in case he forgot, Destiny picked up another spoonful of potatoes and shoved it into his mouth.

Faina let Mickey drag her over to the Slytherin table. "I'm sorry! For storming out of there like an idiot, for making you do something stupid because I did! I just, I just didn't really notice the lightning."

Mickey was soaked to the bone, and was freezing, but there was food, and they could talk. She pushed Fai onto the bench. "Eat." She ordered in a motherly way before sitting down next to her and grabbing a little bit of everything and grabbing some hot chocolate. "You didn't make me do anything." Mickey stated before biting into some garlic bread. "You always have a choice. Even if an option is death you can still choose... Laura told me that once.* She was a history junky loved Harry Potter he always chose death over making others suffer."

"Can I tell you a story?" Faina asked, knowing she was going to anyways. She shoveled food into her mouth before Mickey answered.

Mickey nodded her head, while taking a sip of her hot chocolate. It didn't really matter if she said no, she knew that's not really a question. No one ever asks that then doesn't tell their story.

Faina swallowed before starting. "Once upon a time there was a 9 year old girl. Her own parents despised her. That girl had a twin brother that they absolutely adored. Cunning, sly, a Slytherin after their own hearts. So those parents decided they wanted another son, one exactly like their last. The mother was soon pregnant. She didn't want to know the gender, they knew it was going to be a boy. But alas, when the baby was born, it was a girl." Faina swallowed, tears filling her eyes. "The mother took the baby to an adoption center the next day. The little girl was devastated and kept asking her mother why the baby was up for adoption. You know what the mother said?" Faina asked not waiting for a reply she continued, "She said, 'I didn't want it to turn out rotten and horrible and ugly just like you!'" Tears slid down Faina's face. "You know who that little girl was?" This time she waited for an answer.

"Yes, I do believe I do." Mickey hugged her and kissed the side of her head. "Do you know what a car is?" She asked. She had her own story to tell.

"Yes," She whispered.

"When I was three, my brothers tried to kill me by pushing me down stairs. They weren't caught but Ma ended up making sure I couldn't get hurt by the twins after that. My other brothers, Cory and Chris, tried drowning me in a lake. Said 'who can stay under the flooded dock the longest wins." Mickey glared at what remained of her meal. "My mother found me drowning and saved me again, told them off and didn't let me swim for the rest of the day." Her face grew cold. "I have two older sisters Laura and Christine. They said that they were going to take me shopping one summer. So they drove me to the store. They were my sisters and I would ahve done anything for them.... They told me to get in the trunk so I could get something for them. Once I got in they slammed it and walked home." She took a sip of her hot cocoa and smiled warmly. "Then who would be there to save me but my Ma?" She turned to Fai and smiled. "What I'm saying is it doesn't matter if one person doesn't want you or if twenty are constantly trying to kill you." She grinned at her best friend and patted her shoulder. "All that matters is that there are people who care and are willing to save you."

Faina leaned her head against Mickey's shoulder. "Thanks Mickey, you seriously are my best friend. Besides Jordan, of course." Faina tapped her chin, "That reminds me, a little birdie told me that someone had a little crush on Jordy." Faina nudged her playfully.

"Oh really?" Mickey asked putting on airs that would put a purebloods to shame. "Well, then I pity that person, because that boy is as thick as a troll." She smirked. "He is pretty though." Her smirk blossomed to a smile. "Well go be slytherine start your scheming. I'm going to bed." She rose from the table and gave her one last hug. "Don't you dare froget what I told you." She pet the top of the girls head and went off to bed completely exhuasted. "I'm sleeping well tonight."ooc: nighty night lawl

Jai had eggs, bacon and pumpkin juice plowing through when Caroline asked him about classes."Yeah, I am. Believe it or not I actually like to learn.Are you ready?" he replied with humour dancing in his voice. He swallowed some more food before he set his fork down and looked at Caroline.

Stella couldn't help but raise an eyebrow slightly as she noticed Matt's glance over at Lyra in her lap. Granted, she hadn't had the kitten for too long, but she thought he'd known about her from the few times they'd spoken. Even if it hadn't really been in person between last summer and now. The thoughts trickled off as he nodded in response to her bringing up the Divination classroom mystery. "Oh, so you'd heard something about that?," she asked innocently. Why hadn't Eino known about that then?, she wondered. It didn't really matter that she hadn't known, what with being technically new and all, but she'd've thought other Hogwarts students would have heard if Matt had. Maybe it just hadn't gotten all the way up to Ravenclaw tower. Plus, the fact that he'd said it was still weird was a good distraction. "So weird isn't normal around here?" She couldn't tell if that made her feel better or make her worry more. Hopefully it wasn't actually bad.

Reaching over to pick up a piece of bread from the table, she broke off a tiny piece and fed it to her kitten as she waited for a response to her talking about her summer. It had seemed like something had piqued his interest, or something, at least. He'd seemed like he'd wanted to speak before now, but hadn't. Which was interesting. Definitely polite, but she'd never thought he wasn't polite. She smiled as he'd started speaking though, then nodded as he spoke about going back home. "I remember," she began, speaking about his plans to help out his old school, before the topic of his cousin sidetracked her. "Does Raven usualy have a lot of 'helpful suggestions'?," she asked, truly curious. At least Talia didn't get too annoying, as long as she'd remembered to let her know where she'd be over the summer, and took Bogie for walks occasionally when she couldn't.

She looked at the mashed potato the girl got and turned to her.
"Yes, I am," Katrina replied. "I'm Katrina, by the way, Katrina Marie Hudson. Who are you?"

"Raven Charlotte. Please to meet you, Katrina." answered her shortly. Then she was busy to eat her sausage and the mashed potatoes.

Scott walked into the hall holding Chelsea's hand proudly.
They were both soaked. He pulled a chair out for her and let her sit down before he sat.
He felt weird sitting at the Slytherin table.

"Thank you" she told him as he pulled out her chair. She began to fill her plate with food. She saw her owl How many letters is Aunt Astoria going to send she thought to herself. She took the letters from her owl. She noticed Scott looked a bit uncomfortable sitting at the Slytherin table so she held his hand.

"You're welcome" he replied with a smile.
More mail? "Your aunt likes to be kept well informed" he smiled
"My parents got back to me" he paused "They said they were thrilled I got put in Ravenclaw" he paused again "And made a few nice friends" he winked.

She smiled. And looked through her mail. "I think she's bored thats why she writes so much I mean with me gone she has nothing to do my uncle works long hours at the Ministry" she explained. Chelsea smiled at him. "I mentioned in one of my letters to home that I made a few good friends and that I was liking it here" she smiled at him. "Now I'm enjoying it even more here since classes started...and because I'm with you" she said.
