And it was true; it would be Melchior’s first time experimenting with magic. He had once read about it a book, but never wanted to do anything before going to Hogwarts. Plus, hiding the fact that he was a wizard from his mother didn’t give him the correct time to experiment either; especially with the whole police car accident…

Jade was not buying his little game he was playing. Not at all. She rolled her eyes as he said he would stay with her. "Oh my gosh, you're so sweet." Nikolas kept on going on about studying better and not paying any attention to boys that Jade zoned out into her own little world. She looked away and stared at a boy at the Ravenclaw table who seemed quite attractive to her. Okay, not the best idea to just stare at a guy, but she was doing it on purpose. Just so it would get on Nikolas' nerves, that is.

She decided that it had been long enough and didn't want to freak out the Ravenclaw guy, so she turned back towards Nikolas. "You know, this whole thing about 'being my big brother' made me realize something. You care about me. You care about me, a lot." She said, poking him on the shoulder while a smirk was placed upon her face. Now she got him.

I... don't know how to fly..." she said in a tiny voice. It didn't help if you were absolutely terrified of heights either. Selena usually ended up closing her eyes and clutching on for dear life. She didn't wanna fly.

Plus... heights were terrifying.

Selena beamed, forgetting about the whole broom thing for a moment. "Exactly, it's called being imaginative, and it's amazing," she said with a shrug and a smile on her face. No one else had the same attention span as her either, so it wasn't surprising, really. "Of course not, I have magic... duh," Selena said, rolling her eyes. Plus they weren't living in like the... 20th century anymore. Hmph. Or was it the 19th? Selena wasn't good with dates, places and people in history. She gasped. "It's okay! They don't eat chocolate, plus, I can have a zoo there!" Selena decided, she really ought to write it all down and show this to Emma later. Just so they could plan out everything accordingly.

"Stop it! Stop lying, it's not nice to lie," Selena said childishly. "And fine you can be more awesome," she sighed... but in her mind she added, just to herself mind you, 'until I find a way to toss you onto Mars.' And that would happen soon if her plan worked.

Selena shook her head and kept her hands on her head before sighing and letting go of Kent... who rolled off her head. "I don't like you, you're mean," she said, frowning as she cuddled the puff ball in her arms, despite his squirming, she liked the little guy. He was fluffy.

Her eyes widened before contracting in confusion as she tried to keep up with all the names. This boy sounded so assured of everything and all the details; their History class seemed like it sure did a good job.

Snapping his attention right back to Dia after it seemed like a couple minutes of staring at the staff table and being both confused and intrigued, Matt chuckled slightly at what she said; like he would just go talk to her right now, there was plenty of time for that now apparently. "Well I'll be around so you can ask me questions, depending on the subject; I know this term is going to be rather ridiculous what with all the new professors once again and the fact that it is beginning of preparation for NEWTs which are next term." He was already dreading that idea since OWLs last term had been enough of a headache, not to mention there had been the school exams on top of that so needless to say; he did not even want to hear the word exam for a long time.

As the conversation went back to the earlier topic of house elves, Matt had found himself getting distracted again by his own thoughts; which seemed to be something that had been happening more and more frequently as of late, making conversations with him rather difficult. "Hmm? Oh right the elves.. they are a very interesting creature to analyze, maybe we need to sit down and figure out exactly how to go about talking to them about the students sharing the work without them going off and as you've said, injuring themselves as well as thinking they're not doing a good job at taking care of the castle."
