Eat, drink, and be merry, O Snakes. Classes begin again tomorrow.
The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.
And what's this? The silverware is tarnished and askew, almost as if thrust on the table willy-nilly. Take a seat and search for a clean spoon while the Sorting Hat ceremony commences. The House Elves have done their clean up work quickly and effectively, and the silverware and dishes are now set to right.
"Sure," Sarah shrugged, "I only know so much, but I'll definitely do my best to answer your questions."
Sarah stifled a laugh, she couldn't believe he seemed to think she knew a lot! With her luck, she'd remember everything she read until she was asked a question, and then she would forget.
Sarah then followed his gaze and looked at the bowl. It didn't look like any sort of food she'd ever eaten before. "Er... I have no idea? Maybe it's casserole or something?"
“Well, let’s see,” Melchior said as he grabbed one of the serving spoons, taking a small scoop of the food, and placing it onto his plate. He looked at the casserole.
“Must be a beef, corn, noodle casserole,” said Melchior. Hogwarts had some peculiar food. He then picked up his fork and took a bite, noting the anomalous taste.
“It isn’t bad, you should try some,” he said taking another bite.

Mickey walked over to the slytherin table once she re-entered the hall from her trip of getting lost looking for the Hufflepuff dorms. Figuring that everyone would be in the hall eating she went looking for Fai. Seeing a few first years who might know where she was. "Hi, do you mind if I join you for a minute or two? I'm waitin' for my friend." She said to the boy infront of her.

Alright, so Mia left Marie at the 'Puff table and Matty still hadn't shown up so now here she was, heading back over to her own table. The very table that had already lost them house points. This did NOT please Marie at all. She was going to have to have a talk with those friends of hers who seemed to be over there in the middle of all that drama that had been taking place when Lafay was there.
Spotting Evelyn and Destiny... who Mia was now with, Marie started to make her way towards them. Getting distracted though she didn't quite make it there.
Spotting the new guy sitting alone she went and sat next to him instead of her friends. Well someone had to welcome him to Slytherin. Might as well be her. "Hello, welcome to Slytherin." Yes, she knew he was new to their house and school. She had seen him get sorted not so long ago.
Indya squeezed herself onto the end of the long bench. It looked like everyone else had already started eating. Despite being a Slytherin, and coming from a long line of Slytherin's she was so shy when it came to big groups of people and just wished she could run away and hide from all these people.

Sarah laughed as Melchior dissected the casserole, then she spooned some onto her own plate. She took a bite with a clean fork filched from Melchior, and chewed thoughtfully. "You know," she said after swallowing, "you're right, it does taste pretty good." she laughed, well, you learn a new thing everyday right?

Having drunken his glass of water, Joăo was onto looking through the sky. Sure, the ceiling was really impressive, but... he shrugged. As it was the usual in this island, the weather was again cloudy, and not much could be made out. He shrugged to himself again. Hearing a voice so close, he lowered his gaze on the source of it and saw a pretty girl welcoming him to the house. She was older, surely, but she was still pretty and a little bit of flirting didn't hurt. He smiled politely, taking the last sip from his glass before answering.
"Obrigado," he said in Portuguese, thanking her. "I'm Joăo Neves, for your sake." For the sake of her to remember his name after tonight as well.
" Hello Eris" William smiled. " Oh, I guess I gave you the wrong impression, I am not a first year at all" William told Eris. " I am in my second year and I am a Gryffindor" William said to Eris. " This is the tradition of all the men in my family and all the women will be RavenClaws" Willaim explained to Eris. " Enjoying the meal?' William asked Eris.
Even with her boyish demeanor and looks, Eris' cheeks tinted profusely. "Oh! Merlin, I'm sorry...." she had to stop herself from letting out a chuckle embarrassed at her own mistake on his year. She then felt a brief wonder in his latter statement.
"But what if a girl is born in your family who doesn't like knowledge?" If this was even possible, it could be genes within his family that caused this. She frowned though, most people here had family within their own house...yet her only she had no Hogwart's attended relatives that belonged to the noble house of Slytherin.
"I am very much enjoying the meal though thank you" she beamed as she had recently been brave enough to try a roll before engulfing the other platters since the silverware fiasco. "Was it like this last year...?" she asked in earnest curiosity more than small talk. "The silverware thing that is..."
SPOILER!!: Joăo

Sitting quite comfortably and with a nod of her head in approval as she glanced down at the shining silverware, Eris decided to no longer hesitate with using the brand new utensils to bridge the desired gap between her plate and a hunger that had been carried around with her since the train ride.
Every witch and wizard seemed to have finally made it to their seat, or to the seat of another house, quite happily with mild conversation everywhere. This was all going to be her home now for seven years was the thought that passed through her mind as her eyes traced the Great hall from the shadows on the castles wall’s to the people around her. Her blueish-grey eyes traced back a few spots as she had past over a familiar face who had just walked up to the table with a look that seemed like contentment.
The boy from the platform!
Eris made her way over to the boy who had just sat down a little ways away from her with interest, before wrapping him in a split second, but excited hug, as she was about to burst out with a spheel of being in Slytherin or what not. Though, she got distracted as she looked down at his arm, which was the real purpose she had made the particular journey from her spot in the table, to his.
“Did you manage to find the healer to fix your arm,Joăo ?” the small witch asked in curious earnestly. The train had been so crowded she couldn’t be sure he could have found the lady easily; and a whole train ride with a hurt arm sounded just about as fun as playing leap frog with unicorns.

"My dad was a Ravenclaw...so I'm sure he rooted for that..." Eris replied slowly and a bit thoughtfully. Her father would never come out and directly say that of course, to him she could be anything. Or at least that's what she thought.
"I have yet to hear about the house of Gryffindor...." Eris added, as she had learned about pretty much every house but the one that sported red and gold.
Once again, Gwen mock gasped at her response and ended up in giggles. She was glad to have found someone nice, a Slytherin in fact who appeared to be around her age, maybe even the same.
*Gulp*
Now that sounded slightly scary. "But.. Why would you need them?" she asked blinking. Something that sucked your soul out, that sounded absolutely awful. "So they won't come to Hogwarts then?" she asked wide eyed. They were definitely something the young brunette would not want to come across on a dark night. In fact they were something she wouldn't want to come across at all.
Oh that was exciting! "I don't think I know any Quinn's. Well in fact I live in a Commune so unless they come from Limerick and share a house with lots of Hippy's I don't think I'd know them at all." After all, she didn't get many opportunities to get out and about anyway. Hogwarts was her first experience away from home. A pureblooded family? Weren't they supposed to be all upper class and snobby or something? "And they don't mind you socialising with half bloods?" she asked with a little pout. Gwen would try and make friends with everyone! "My older brothers have left home so they're not around often. But the twins? They're absolutely bonkers!" Different kinds of bonkers but still equally crazy. "Oh? Do you like being an only child?" she asked tilting her head. Gwenyth couldn't imagine that. Far too many children in her house, she'd grown up prying for attention. It was good and bad being the only girl. Sometimes it meant you got attention but other times you were overshadowed by your brothers.
"Oh. But they look really skinny like they're not ever fed" And judging by that one over at the Gryffindor table they liked punishing themselves. That was just AWFUL. See magic was just fascinating. And it didn't get any less fascinating the more she saw it. "No not yet. I thought I'd wait for lessons first." At least then she'd know how to control it.
Aurora smiled, here was some new friend material... she wondered momentarily whether Gwen would be any good at potions...
Why would you need Dementors..? "Well, they're prison guards aren't they, I mean, they guard some of the most dangerous wizards around... So, you know, we just do. And it's better to make use of them rather than let them go around freely sucking out peoples souls..." she said, she'd never really thought about it in depth before. It was just one of those facts you accepted and got on with your life. "Oh no, I don't think they've ever had to come here... maybe once or twice in the old times and during the great war and stuff. But I don't think they've been here since..."
Aurora looked at Gwen... "What's a commune..?" she asked, scrutinising the girl. "Oh, no, we don't go to Limerick very often. We have a cottage in Dublin though." she added. Yes. Dublin, London, Cologne, Berlin, Paris and, of course, the family Manor. But most of them were also used by the extended family... so they didn't technically own them exclusively... But they used them a lot... "Well... I guess I used to be a snob... but I've kind of grown up. I think Mother might have a heart attack if I brought home a mud-" she stopped herself. "Um, muggleborn boyfriend but I'm kinda growing up a bit I think, it doesn't bother me." she said, shrugging. Yeah, she would probably never entirely throw off the prejudices that had been hammered into her since birth but she was definitely trying her best.
Aurora nodded, "Yeah... my sister is having twins... I pity her... Though I doubt they'd be crazy, Tiff went to Durmstrang, her kids will probably be very disciplined." she said, chuckling ever so lightly. "Well... I guess. Though my brother's always there if I need him so I'm not a proper only child. It feels like it at the moment though..." What with Krys being ill and all...
"They live in the Kitchens... they get to eat." Aurora said, shrugging. "You kind of get used to them being around. You'll have to come and visit one summer, our House Elves are almost invisible a lot of the time. You don't even notice they're there." she added. Yeah, House Elves were something she took for granted, like, a lot. She'd never had to live without them before and wondered what it was like having to do all your own washing, cleaning and cooking... not that she ever would... when her parents died she'd have enough money to buy out NASA, let alone have her own house elf...
She pondered for a moment before saying "Yeah, I guess that's sensible. I mean, I was homeschooled before I came to Hogwarts so I suppose I never had to think about practice..." Yeah, Helga wouldn't have let her come unprepared... Aurora glanced up at the Staff Table again; when was Tate going to make his speech? She was so hungry!
Oh. So she wasn't the only one whom thought they had been wrongly sorted as well. Maybe the sorting hat was having an off day? Maybe he was going a little doolally in its old age. "I think I should have been a Hufflepuff but my brother thinks I should be a Ravenclaw. I hope they're not disappointed in me" she pouted. That would be awful. The look on their faces when Gwen told them she wasn't like them. "But I want to be a Gryffindor like my brother was. I'm not clever like my eldest brother and he was a Ravenclaw" she shook her head and pouted. Big families. She felt safer at home than she did here.
"Oh. That's nice" she smiled. She'd never had the opportunity to go there, why would she need to? Her home was her sanctuary and she loved it. "Yes. Ireland. Limerick to be exact" and it was certainly evident in her accent, you couldn't miss it.
Angelina listen as Gwen told her about her family and what house they wanted her to go into when she replied, "Yeah for me, I had brothers and sisters in ever house, and my parents were in Slytherin, so it was bound I'd be anywhere," All her brothers and sisters never thought anything different from one being a Hufflepuff to one being a Ravenclaw, it never really mattered between them...
"oh, is it nice in Limerick?" Angelina was all fascinated with places in England.

Angelina was looking around at her new house table, and saw a boy walk over and sit down, he was all alone, so she thought she would just get up and talk to him. Angelina walked over to him and said, "Hi, I'm Angelina," She smiled to him while she said this as well.

Marie had NO idea what this guy had just said to her.
She looked at him with a rather confused look. "Umm... I really have no idea what you just said." Nice first impression Marie. Let the guy know what an idiot you are.

"Well... Finally the dishes are done! That will be a memory of our first night in Hogwarts then! That and we are already -12 points." Scarlett rolled her eyes looking at the house points at the very front of the Great Hall. She wondered also when they would be wandering off to the common rooms for some sleep.

“Hey!" he chuckled playfully. "That was my fork!” Sarah was a very humorous girl. He then took a new fork from an empty spot, and took another bite of his casserole.
“So Sarah, how did you figure out you were a witch?”

Joăo was now examining the ceiling, and so he didn't notice the little girl approaching him. He was content in his corner, examining and occasionally adoring the Hall's design. It was a magical place, definitely, although the schools of Italy and Spain had also been nearly perfect. They weren't this--
"O que vocę está fazendo?" he questioned the attacker, his voice echoing through the hall. First the danger of dying because of dirty plates, now this shameful attack--wait, after jumping a good one metre back from the offenser, he got to take a better look at her and...
"Eris!?" That was both a reprimand and a surprise, although the latter was stronger. "What are you doing?" No one, NO ONE up until this moment had shown him any signs of friendship and NO ONE had EVER dared hugging him, except for his girlfriends, of course. Clearly he had been too soft to the girl, maybe as a result of Louisa's presence there. Sure, he liked having little students adoring him and whatnot but HUGGING and HUMILIATING him in the middle of the whole school was just too much.
His features softened as he got over the first shock and upon hearing her pronounce his name perfectly. Now, maybe for that, she deserved a hug. It wasn't his fault, after all, if he influenced people so positively, no? He even offered her a tiny smile, before he explained: "I fixed it myself." Just like that.
"I see you're in Slytherin." One more point for her.

Of course she had no idea what he had just said. NO ONE 'round here seemed to have visited Portugal even for one bloody hour, because then they would have at least heard Obrigado. With an INNER sigh, he said "It means 'thank you' in Portuguese." And that was the end of his small gestures in Portuguese. If no one understood them, it was time wasted.
...
... ... did she just say Salazar? Now, finally someone worthy of giving his full attention. For this time, he could even overlook her small mistake of nicknaming him 'Joe'. They had just introduced themselves, and such small mistakes could be forgiven.
"You can call me Marcelo too, if you want. That's easier." So, there, he would show he didn't enjoy nicknames with a small correction. Hopefully, she was at least half as clever as her beauty to get it.
"I'm a fifth year." Pause. "Salazar, have you said?"Could you elaborate on that?

Hearing a cheerful voice, he turned towards that direction to see another blond girl adressing him. Usually, they said the blond gene was recessive, but apparently it wasn't so among the wizards, or in England in general. "Hello," he said merely, turning to examine a gold cup now. Looking at her one more time as if inviting her to go on, he wondered how people were also so... outgoing in here. It was to the point of silliness; one could never know who to trust.

Actually, I like this porofessor whose last name is Lafay, she is the potions or charms professor, they call her something like the " devil lady" William warned Victoria.
"My dad says they're really brave. They also seem to dislike Slytherins. My mum said that's a load of rubbish and that Gryffindors and Slytherins are more alike than people realize. She says that the founders of those two houses were best friends. Of course, my dad argued with that.' Alice blushed and realized she had been rambling.
"Do you know anything about Hufflepuffs?" she asked, trying to let Eris speak.

Wonder if she knows any Portuguese.
Victoria became a bit annoyed when the guy started starring at a stupid gold cup. Well... "I'm Victoria." said Victoria, not that cheerful anymore. She's not mad at him for not saying anything. She's not sure what she's feeling. Victoria guessed that maybe she doesn't like to be ignored by anyone. Even if the guy didn't mean to ingnore her after just after one 'hi' because he was so interested in the gold goblet. Still, it made Victoria feel being ignored.

Victoria became fascinated and confused about William's family tree. Victoria begin to feel dizzy all over again....wait...did he say Harry Potter? Isn't he the famous boy who lived or something like that? And Ron! And Hermione! Aren't these two his best friends or something? "Wow! You have a very interesting family tree there." said Victoria excitedly. Think! A whole family of famous wizards and witches.
Victoria widened her eyes as William mentioned the school professors. "Lafay?" Victoria said curiously. "Yeah, I heard some of the people talk about her on the train." Funny how Victoria actually remembers something from the train ride! "You like her? But you said people called her 'Devil Lady'!"
"I know!" Eris gave a happy laugh as she glanced back over to the hat before clucking her tongue. "I wonder how long this dinner will last...." she continued forking at her food, wanting more than anything to see the Slytherin common rooms.
"I Know already -12 on the first day i wonder what those kids did? it makes me sad i hate that." Ariana was truly mad that her house was already -12 points and they had only been at the school for a few hours
Selena shook her head quickly. "No, it's not. And it doesn't matter because you should say thank you to them anyways," she said, sticking her tongue out childishly at him, but really, their whole conversation was relatively juvenile so it didn't really matter. "OH! I'm a fifth year tooo, but I wasn't here for my fourth year," Selena said beaming. And she wasn't really a transfer because she was here. And awesome. And incredible. He was just jealous. "You can't call me that!" Selena exclaimed, she would've stopped her foot if she was standing, but she wasn't. "You can call me anything but that name," Selena decided. And if he called her that again, she would kick him in the shins.
"They're mean and they are evil and they go up high," Selena said with a frown and hands on her head. Kent was starting to squirm around now. And it was tickly. "I don't wanna go on a brooooooooom, can I have someone else race for me?" Selena asked, with big puppy dog eyes. He had to say yes. NOOOOO. Punishment. "And I don't wanna get all the candy I want, I already get that, I want... I waaaannnnt..." she couldn't decide. It seemed like his reward for winning was better than hers. It was horrible. "I want you to do my herbology homework for two months," Selena decided. She wasn't a fan of herbology... the plants were scary and evil.
Selena nodded, as though it should've been obvious. "You're not nearly half as amazing as me, I don't blame you, most people don't think as amazingly as I do," she said smugly. Did she really have to spell everything out for him. He was slow. "I'll have a rocket ship and then set up a portkey," she said, with huge amounts of duh in her voice. He was being ridiculous. She gasped when he said the polar bears would eat it. "They have polar bears in the Arctic?!" she said surprised. She always thought that they were on the other cold part. Now she was going to have to buy a zoo.
She was seriously tempted to push him out of his seat now. She pouted and folded her arms across her chest. "You're mean, I'm the awesomest and you're just jealous, so stop lying," she said. He was jealous and she was sticking with that theory. And Nik was just a big fat meanie.
"You never said I couldn't! So hah," she said, triumphantly. She totally won already. "And it's not cheating if there were no rules," Selena added.
Nikolas rolled his eyes at her reply "No, I think I'll stay with that is your fault because you said it before" he was joking around but it was fun to do it with Selena because somehow she actually believed him. "I say thanks to them! But the house elves from here no because I'm new" Get it? N-E-W. How can he say thanks to house elves he didn't knew? It was pointless. So, Miss I-am-so-fabulous was a fifth year too? "So I guess I'll have to deal with your constant imagination everyday then" he commented. Not that it was something bad, just something that doesn't happen everyday.
This was how he expected her to react after calling her with the forbbiden nickname, he better have his wand ready in case she punch him or something worse. He laughed "Easy girl!" trying to calm her down "Alright I'll call you candy hater and that's it" he nodded. No Selena or Sel, for him she would be candy hater whether she liked it or no. Pffft, brooms weren't mean, he frowned "Of course they have to go up high...they are brooms" Obviously. "And no, you have to race against me or else it doesn't count" he had to see her on a broom hehe. She was doing the puppy eyes? Nah sorry girl it doesn't work for him. "Stop doing those puppy eyes, I won't giving in" he shook his head. So, no candy for her? That's weird. She then said she wanted him to do her herbology homework...for two months? He thought it for a minute. It wasn't that bad, but he would have enough with his homework and then with hers. Hmmm..."Okay, deal!" who cares? anything for seeing her on a broom and besides he will win.
Now let's keep going with her big imagination. He kept nodding when she said people weren't amazing as her "Yeah I see. No one has so many random ideas at once" he replied. No one except her. Now she was explaining how she would go to Pluto. Did she knew Pluto was like light years from here? I guess she didn't "Have you thought that it would take years and years to get there?" Pluto wasn't around the corner, if for the moon have took a while to get there how can you imagine for Pluto?, but for her everything was possible. At the comment of the polar bears, his eyes widened. Didn't she knew that? Merlin, he would have to teach him a lot of things "Of course they have" What do you thought there were? Besides Santa and house elves. "And they are big, really big so I guess you should worry more about them than Santa"
She could pout everything she want but both knew he was more awesome. "I'm not lying, and that is what hurts you most because you know it is true! I am more awesome" Ha!
It was obvious this was cheating with or without rules. Well, for him it was. "Since it is my game, I say it is cheating" he frowned. "Now stop holding him or no chocolate bar for you"

Which he had no "friends" except for her and probably the occasional first year that everybody made friends with. Unless there was another girl, okay now she had to know. Then again...like Nikolas would actually tell her. Who actually knew, though?
She waited for his expression when she gave him the guy's numbers and it was a weird expression. One that she didn't even know existed really, but he congratulated her; then she knew something was up. "You can't do that, I'm free to decide on whoever I would like to date." She said taking the papers back and stuffing them inside her bag. "Maybe I should just leave, seeming as you're just a dummy to even recognize how amazing I am without you."
He WILL seat with his friends. Okay....maybe he didn't have that enough friends but he have made friends during the summer. The thing was...he couldn't find them. This was great. He wouldn't admit it so instead he kept joking around "Nah, I think I'll stay with you" he nodded "Ahh I see the reason you came here" he felt like a imaginary lightbulb went on in his head "Youu..." he said pointing at her "Felt lonely and knew I'll be here " because he was the only one she knew "So, you could stay here. Now everything is clearer" besides she wanting to be here with him. Because she DID wanted. Or to see boys.
Now back to the guy's numbers, how come she have gotten three numbers already? Hmm...maybe she asked them? Ha! she might have so he can be jealous but no he wasn't. Or maybe they gave it without being asked? However, he Nikolas Agger would not show any kind of jealousy towards it. If he could he would have set the papers on fire, but that would have being to obvious of being jealous and no, he was not going to show any weak spots. So, instead he congratulate her because it was something she didn't expected.
Free to decide on whoever to date? No if you have a big brother like Nikolas. "You are wrong, since I am your big brother I have to set you limits" he crossed his arms "So no dates and start studying better" yeah, because study was more important than boys. "Leaving so fast? Why? you mad because of my decision?" he smirked "Your parents should be glad that you have a brother here to protect you" Mhm, because without him she would be failing every class and flirting with every guy.
After getting to know some fellow Puffs, at the Badger table, Amethyst strolled gracefully over to the Slytherin table. She wanted a diverse group of friends, and felt it nessesary to introduce herself to anyone who'd welcome her. She was a bit nervous, not all Snakes were evil, she knew this. Zhenya thought about that for a moment.. "We're close, yes, but now that he has a girlfriend he isn't at home as much. We don't spend as much time together," she explained.
"Wow, what's it like not living with any males? And where abouts do you live?"

"I wanna write for Adler and Mom."
Zhenya just noticed another girl sitting close to her, who pulled out some parchment, a quill and some ink. She didn't want to bother her from writing, but she wanted to get to know more Slytherin first years - like she.
"Excuse me, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Zhenya," she said, hoping the girl wouldn't mind the interruption.

Zhenya noticed another person. This time she just wanted to see the girl, who looked very shy, just talk. So, Zhenya thought she might introduce herself to another first year.
"Hi," she said loudly - over all the racket. "I'm Zhenya," she introduced herself.

She looked at the silverware. "That is just... disgusting."
He was taking to role well... good. One less thing to annoy her.
"Good. Keep it that way." she said glaring. Oh yeah, today was free glare day.
Hecate caught the eye of the child. She nodded in return, althought is was fast and curt... it was still acknowledgement.
Was someone still screaming at the table? "I SWEAR IF YOU LOT CAN'T BEHAVE YOU ALL WILL CONTINUE THIS FEAST IN DETENTION!!!" She was not afraid of putting the whole house in detention.
"Are you showing attitude Miss Bunbury?" She said narrowing her eyes and fuming! Why did the name sound familiar?
"Five points Greingoth, try to talk you way out of it, and I'll make it 50," She said still very angry with the Slytherin top point earner...
Did the child just leave? As Hecate was trying to speak to her?
This made her FURIOUS!
"MISS BUNBURY!" She said trying to call the child back. "FIVE POINTS FOR WALKING AWAY FROM A PROFESSOR WHEN SHE IS REPREMANDING YOU and for putting gum in someone elses hair!!" She didn't care if Sierra had stolen the gum... two wrongs don't make a right.
"SWEET CIRCE!!!" She said holding her heart in her throat. She tried to regain some decorum not to mention her breath. MERLIN, that had taken her by surprize.
"Elf!" She hissed angry and ready to strike, "Do that to me one more time, and I'll make you into. Potion. Ingredients!" Idiot house elf!
Ugh, as if she hadn't already made a bigger fool of herself. First on feeling absolutely disgusted for drinking tainted, rusty, and whatever that made the drinking water brown on her tongue.
As soon as Professor Lafay was done declaring the student's punishment Kimalia face palmed in disappointment. Of course, speaking up would come at a price. Already her name was on top of the board, but in the negatives, and all on the same night, never mind the other two losing more points, she was still part of it. She was indeed lucky she avoided detention. Hopefully her parents won't be sending a howler her way.
Seeing Professor Lafay like that made her even more concerned, she wasn't angry by choice, no she must be angry that her beloved house had made a mockery under her direction and was already in the negatives.
Scourigifying all the remaining plates, utensils and goblets nearby Kimalia took a swig of her pumpkin juice to settle herself. Juice makes me happy, yes. But she wasn't going to showcase much smiles, in case the Professor would come back and hand her detention for being too happy for losing points.

She would definitely have to talk with her when she got a chance. It boggled Kimalia's mind, Who wouldn't accept another one taking the fall for them.
Unable to come up with a solution, she regrettably took a sip of the brown looking water. With a look of disgust and eyes closed, she spat it out in an unknown direction. "UGH!" There goes her cool appearance she had manage to maintain the entire day.
Admitting failure and owning up to wrongdoings just weren't two things Sierra was used to. Or comfortable with, for that matter. Her summer had been, for the most part, a terrible one, though; and it had taken her down a notch or two in the meantime. At this moment, she slightly resembled a beaten down horse that just kept getting kicked over and over again. When it would all stop, Sierra had no idea, but she hoped it was soon.
Hogwarts had been the one place she thought she could run to in order to escape the nightmare that had become known as reality. But no. Her own housemates were turning on her now, and she was starting to feel that returning was one huge mistake. She happened to look up and catch Kimalia's gaze, and she sat staring at her fellow third year for a few seconds. Then, just before she looked away, she gave the girl the tiniest of smiles. It was all she was capable of doing at the moment, but it would do for now.

"Well," Tori answered her, softly as first before she cleared her throat. "I... accept your apology."
But no way was she going to feel sorry for Sierra, nor was she about to apologize for dumping the spit!gum on her head. She totes deserved that. And Bunburys never showed sympathy. NEVAH.
Whatever. Truth be told, Sierra had only apologized because Lafay had shown up. Had that not been the case, ...well, who knew what would've happened. She glared at the girl in return and mentally began making plans to have a run-in with this girl at some point in the very near future.

Sierra released a barely audible gasped and then turned sharply toward her Head-of-House. Five points? ... Seriously? It wasn't the five points that bothered Sierra but rather a variety of other things she neither wanted to think about or speak about at the moment. It all went back to that feeling Sierra currently had where she felt that everyone around her was steadily kicking her despite the fact that she was at her lowest of lows.
She just looked at Lafay for a few seconds, her brown eyes staring directly into her Head-of-House's eyes, and then she looked down again. Did she still have to report directly to the woman's office as soon as the feast was over? She decided that it was best not to ask and to just show up as she'd been told.

Wow, kid. Way to stretch the truth...
Sierra didn't look up at her, though. The world was against her at the moment, and she felt that looking down was her safest bet for now. Seriously, though? Threw a tantrum? Threw gum everywhere? As far as Sierra remembered, she'd only had words with Tori, and then she'd thrown the gum directly at it's true owner, who'd been standing directly in front of her.
She sighed. There was no use defending herself now. She just needed some time, and then...maybe, the world would be on her side again.
