What was with this obsession with food? Did he not eat in the morning? If he'd had three square meals a day he would have been absolutely fine. "No. Me neither" she raised her eyebrow. "I don't particularly want to see those poor elves slaving away in there" Making them food? They looked like they were starved themselves. Helpless creatures. "It's a flight of stairs" she stated matter-of-factly. And besides, why should she be the one carrying food? "Shouldn't you be carrying food? Surely then you would be satisfying your own hunger?" Which meant he didn't have to go around asking everyone else.

"A slytherin? Yes" she nodded and smiled weakly. "Not that I exactly want to be" She felt like she didn't belong after all. First hand knowledge? The only knowledge she knew was that she'd much rather be up in the towers than under here in a dark and dismal Common Room. She wanted to feel like she was home, not completely isolated out in the middle of Scotland. "I don't know. It's my first year here too" she shrugged, glancing away from him towards the girl that had just sat down when he asked her for food too. "I have an apple" Because she felt like she always needed vitamins and stuff grown from the earth was so much better than products made in factories. Organic. Just perfect. Only emphasised by the fact she was Vegetarian.

She smiled across at the other female, glad of some female company.

walking into the common room for the first time i felt kinda nervous i really havnt meet anyone or made and new friends i look around alot of kids in here some reading some some chating .

its just overwhelming i thought so much has happened in such a short time well i thought i might as well make my self known and i start gretting anyone who comes towards me " hi my name is Domino nice to meet you" i say

Jake walked into the common room, "one more year here" he thought to himself as he looked around. He saw some new and familier faces in the small crow, but none were of his friends. He walked over to a empty chair, and sat down, he felt a small fluffy animal rub his leg. He looked down and saw Will his cat, "hey there" he said pulling out his wand making colorful sparks fly out for Will to play with. He looked around again seeing if anything interesting was going on in the common room today.

Corentin grinnned. Aww. Chocolate. YES! He caught it and did a little victory dance right there on the couch. "Thanks Lorelai!" Really. Food was the BEST.

He probably ate more than what he slept.

"Corey." He pointed at himself and grinned, then started on the chocolate.
"No see, I'd be even MORE hungry from the effort that'll take." Logical right? He cheerfully explained this. And besides, his technique worked. AND he'd go get extra food afterwards too.

"You don't? Why not? Green's a good colour. The hat didn't even touch my head and it yelled out Slytherin. Figured that it knows what its on about and put me in the best house." Oh another person who was new? "I'm third year."

And see what he meant about the food? Corey grinned. "An apple? For me?" He made puppy dog eyes at her as he finished practically inhaling the chocolate that Lorelai had just given him.

Aurora walked back into the common room. The healer had fixed her lip pretty quickly, but not quickly enough to stop the blood seeping into her sleeve from where she'd try to stem the bleeding. Aurora hated that she bled so much... but the potion her Mother had given her to stop her blood being so thin had made her chubby! She glanced down at her sleeve. It had turned from grey and green to a dark red. Ugh, she looked like a Gryffindor. She produced her wand and flopped down on a couch, ignoring anyone else, she didn't even notice if someone else was sat there. Before she began to clean her jumper she produced her little white bag of jelly babies and bit the head off one, it screamed and spurted red syrup and she chomped it to oblivion. That alleviated her anger a tiny bit. Balancing the paper bag on her knee she held her left arm out - the one covered in blood - and pointed her wand at it, muttering "Scourgeo, Turgeo, Excolo." until the majority of the blood was gone.

hebe just in shorted into Slytherin house, she looks a bit confused because all her friends are in a different house with him. then she saw some first-year students.

Lorelai raised her eyebrows. Wow, this guy really did like his food, didn't her. She giggled slightly at his victory dance. Well, she didn't wanna upset him by not giving him food. But his iccle dance was so cute. "You're welcome" she replied between giggles.

"Pleasure meeting you, Corey" she replied. Cute name to fit an even cuter guy.

Emma pushed a blonde strand of hair off her face as she listened to Selena and Nik argue. The Slytherin giggled as Selena bluntly told Nikolas that he couldn't foil their plans of awesomeness. Of course. He couldn't. They were too quick and too evil. No one could stop them NOW! The Malfoy gave him a small friendly smile. "Cool. Well welcome to Hogwarts," she said in a friendly tone. Had to be nice to people even if they were mean. And from what Emma could see Nikolas was pretty nice, well at least to her. Though, he did kind of seem sweet on Selena. Diggy better watch out....

And when Nik said that he knew that they were going to rule the whole world and more. Emma grinned widely at him. She liked him even more because he remembered that. When she ruled the world with Selena and the Slytherclaws, perhaps she'd let him have a city or two to rule. Nod. She'd do that because she was just such a kind person! Of course she would. "Good. Sel and I have to make sure that people know," she said and then winked at him. Emma beamed a smile at him before winking evilly at Selena as she reached into her backpack and pulled out a bag of chocolate frogs and other candies. "Candy?" she asked as she held the bag up with one hand and offered it to Nik and Selena.

Now, Nik was asking her if she was going to join the Quidditch Team. "Oh, well think about it! Yeah, I will. I was on the Reserve Team last year as a Chaser, so I hope to make the full team this year," she said, giving him a kind smile. Yes, that was Malfoy's goal for this term other than ace her OWLS, take over the world, have fun with her friends, and spend time with Mr. Braeden Stonem.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOU GUYS FACES~!"
Daichi seemed to glow with amusement as the two people he was talking to suddenly fell down. First he saw how the young girl fell off the couch and not a second later the older boy stumbled backwards only to fall ON the couch. If Eris hadn't fallen off first then Kennedy would have fallen on top of her. Too bad it didn't.....or maybe it was a good thing, Daichi had already trouble breathing from laughter as he held his stomach.

Now that he thought about it, this was the VERY FIRST TIME that he scared someone! Woohoo! And not just one but two , t-w-o , TWO. He even made a peace sign and showed his fingers to Eris and Kennedy. And he liked scaring them..was that strange? He had the itching feeling to scare someone again. But not now..maybe later.

Nick entered the common and found himself an empty chair slightly out of the bigger kids way. So far being a first year in Slytherin was nothing like his brothers had told him and he was glad for that but he didnt want accidently get on anyone's bad side either. As he sat in the quiet uncrowded corner he took out some parchment and his quill to write a letter home.

Victoria looked around the common room and saw a girl having some difficulty with....stuff...

Slowly, she walked over to the girl, carefully not to catch any of her...things... "Hello?" Victoria said cautionsly. "Do you need any help?"

Selena beamed, when he said that she had won. Well, obviously she had won, she was Selena Zabini-Riddle and she didn't lose. Or at least... lose a lot... or very well. She was good at winning. "I didn't cheat, I found a loophole," Selena said simply, holding her hand out for the chocolate bar. "So, chocolate please," she said, smirking. Oh, sweet victory. And this one was going to be quite sweet... literally. "Just because you give me chocolate, it doesn't mean you're nice," Selena pointed out. Because he wasn't nice. He was trying to get her on a broom, and that was not happening. Nu-uh. Not in this century, or the next!

"Not the world, the universe," Selena corrected, swinging her legs back and forth. And it was going to be awesome. Selena beamed as she saw the candy and placed her hand in, pulling out a chocolate frog. "Emma, you're the bestest friend ever," Selena announced as she opened the box, forgetting to stun the frog and having it hop away. "NO. GET BACK HERE. CHOCOLATE. NOOO," Selena called after the frog, as it jumped onto the seat next to her. Nuuuuuuuuuuh. Her chocolate.

Selena got up, chasing after the chocolate. No.NO.NOOOOO. Chocolate was getting away. And before Sel knew it, the frog had jumped into the fireplace. With a pout on her face, Selena stood from the ground and sat back down on the sofa. "Chocolate frogs are evil. Eviiiillll," Selena muttered, tossing the Dumbledore chocolate frog card to the side. She'd much rather have the chocolate.

"So, what was it you guys were saying about Quidditch?" Selena asked. She had been distracted by a rogue chocolate frog.

Aurora was frowning in concentration when someone interrupted her, "No. I'm fine." she snapped, prodding at her sleeve with her wand once more. Well, that wasn't coming off without a fight. Stupid blood. Maybe I should leave it to the house elves... she thought, taking off her jumper. She'd almost forgotten that she had been spoken to until she looked up. "What? Oh. No, thanks." she said, pushing the hair out of her eyes in a frustrated manner. "Sorry. Sit down if you like. Stressful couple of hours." Aurora said, gesturing to the vacant seat next to her and picking up the white paper bag on her knee. "Jelly baby?" she said, offering the bag to the girl and noticing that the cuff of her shirt was red too. "Oh My Salazar!" she hissed furiously as, once more, she pointed her wand at herself. She managed to clean most of the blood of it this time, leaving only a vary faint pink mark...

The boy-girl of a child threw Daichi a playful dirty look before breaking out in a small laughter herself, quickly covering her mouth as the rest of the common room was already probably looking at them strange. Not to mention Daichi looked like he was suffering from a seizure mixed with insanity as he rolled around on the floor; but hey, she wasn't one to judge.

"Troll!" Eris grinned jokingly, batting her hand at his little peace sign as though trying to brush away his victory in vain. Brushing a black lock behind her ear, the small witch suddenly had an idea.

Not wanting his victory, she had to admit it was a victory, to last too long, the girl decided to accomplish what she knew best."Hey, if your so brave let's all go to the lake" she winked with a new mischievous expression plastered on her face. In a world of daring, there was so much you could do at the actual lake instead of just by the window, plus it was a place the young witch hadn't explored yet. The more the idea grew in her mind, the more cool it became to her.

Go to the lake together?
Daichi's laughter stopped when Eris mentioned going to the lake together. He didn't like the look on her face for he had to feeling something would happen there. It was like he felt these kind of things. And not to mention that ...he..can't...swim.

Still, the second year doesn't want to get crossed over as a scardy cat who can't swim. So without realising it at first he shouted "Yeah fun!" only to slap himself mentally on the head when he realised what he had said. This was not good, he had to come up with something that he can't go in to the water.

Having the perfect idea in mind, Daichi grinned for a mere second which was hard to notice. Unless someone was staring right in to his face. "Alright let's go to the lake." Target sighted and mission in mind. Now he only needed NOT to fall in himself.

Eris walked over with her hand clasped behind her back and a worried expression. Slowly, the eleven year old leaned forward as though she were a doctor's examining a patient with every nod of her head in thought and glance of her eyes in detail. Yup. It was safe to assume that this girl was indeed hurt, but for the life of her and any witch or wizard, Eris could not figure out why.

Next came the scream of a-, what was it? Jelly baby?????

Inhaling deeply with all her nerves turned on and eyes dilated momentarily, inhaling deeply before anyone would notice her reaction to it.

It wasn't real, it was made of jelly, she was safe. Not to mention Aurora had just chomped the terrifying little gummy to bits.

"Can I get you anything?" Eris asked quite frankly and earnestly, "not knowing magic, she could at least get a towel or something to help out. "What happened?" she added with a small tilt of her head. Eris had just come from childhood, and did not quite yet understand the meaning of you can't just ask people that, but then again, sometimes people needed at least someone to ask and hear them out.

She looks at the girl, that had talked to her, up and down, "Ummm...Hi!" she says kind of rudely...force of habit. "Yes I'm a first year and my name is Elizabeth Rose." she states in a "nicer" tone.

Aurora pulled her legs up onto the chair and looked up, still angry. "What? I'm fine. It's just blood." she snapped and went back to trying to clean herself up. "That's none of your business. Just a disagreement." she said, frowning and glaring at the still pink and red bits of her clothes. She gave up and contented herself with prodding her wand at her shoelaces, changing their colour from black to green to red to blue and so on, her brow still furrowed.

Harlow walked into the common room after her visit to the yearbook office. She was happy that Leix was going to be her big sister. She had always wanted one! She was intending to walk up to her room and take a nap when she spotted Nick sitting by himself in the corner. "Nicky!" she squealed running over to him and throwing her thin arms around his scrawny neck "You're in Slytherin too." she said planting a kiss on his cheek and sitting down next to him on the chair. It was big enough for both of them to share.

A disagreement?

The little witch couldn't help but let her imagination get to her, the poor Slytherin in front of her, confronted by....-her imagination searched for an enemy at random-....a gang of vile Gryffindors. Caught out numbered, and to defend the Slytherin honor, clearly she had took them on all solo and now contained the battle wounds.

"I'll rough em up!" the small witch exclaimed with what looked like a serious vigor punching one small fist into the other equally sized palm, "Just point me the direction...." the little boy-girl of a witch added with an almost humorous serious expression, as she asked in a low voice, blueish eyes darting back and forth across the common room as though the enemy might be hidden behind any silk couch. Divulged in the idea she could actually regain this Slytherin's vengeance, Eris stood up as though a solider ready to pounce on command.

Taryn had not seen her new!bff Tori for TOO LONG (which wasn't all that long at all, really, but everything is more dramatic when you're a teenage girl). Though she had occupied herself with making MORE friends, she was hoping she would find her friend in the common room.

Which, by the way, was practically her MOST FAVORITE place in ALL of Hogwarts.

Vivian in tow, Taryn wandered out of the girl's dorm and sat down. She stared at the little pygmy puff, trying not to be noticed. She still hadn't seen the little thing eat anything at all, and never had gotten any answers. Sigh.

Aurora looked up again, "Are you still here?" she addressed the girl... boy..? Girl. What was she doing...

"Rough 'em up?! They have wands. They don't duel the muggle way." Aurora frowned a little in disgust, muggle fighting was just coarse and vulgar. "Anyway, I can fight my own battles. Don't need a silly little kid to fight them for me." she added. This kid had to be a first year. Aurora had never seen them around before and she looked pretty naive about the whole magic thing. "Who are you?'

Tori just happened to be doing almost the same thing as Taryn in the common room. She was seated on the floor, her back to the couch, and her little pygmy puff Simba was sitting on the coffee table in front of her. His tongue was wagging back and forth like a pendulum but she, too, still hadn't seen the little guy eat anything.

"Hiya, Taryn," Tori spoke up, waving at her friend without taking her eyes off Simba. "Didja ever figure out what these little guys eat?"

Eris nodded as though the question weren't rhetorical. Muggle? Eris, being part of a group of siblings and cousins, was used to sparring, particularly ferociously when it came to the older ones. Though, she had no idea what using her fists had to do with muggle fighting. Unless...that is...they used their fists as well....

Shaking her head off from the rant that flowed through her mind like a confused freight train, "I'm Eris," the dark haired witch beamed, holding out her hand like she was raised to. The witch in front of her didn't look to happy, and well, Eris couldn't blame her since she seemed to be consistently bleeding. "I may only know a handful of spells...but have you tried Episkey?" the girl continued curiously; by handful she meant two. Episkey and Point Me. having not paid as close attention as she should have to her parents while they performed spells on a day to day basis.

Nick looked up as he heard his name but before he could pick his quill upoff the parchment harlowwas flinging her arms around him and the quill slid across the paper leaving a mess dark line through the middle of his letter home as he hugged her back. He squinched his nose and rubbed his hand across his cheek after she kissed him. Then he shifted over a bit and moved his things so there they could comfortably share the chair.
