If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
So his name was Nik, eh? Hmmmm... Okay, name. Though his name wasn't as cool as Braeden, her boyfriend's. The blonde beamed a smile at her bestie and then her smile disappeared as Sel said that Nik was being mean. Being mean to Sel? No way was he going to be mean. She folded her arms and pursed her lips. Emma smirked, "Oh yes, I'm taking over the world with Selena. As Sel, said Emma Malfoy. Fifth year," explained Emma in a civil manner as she held out her hand so Nik should shake her hand. It was a test.
Then they were talking about flying sticks? What? Emma was so confused. "You mean.. Quidditch, right? Nik, you should know that Selena hates Quidditch. I tried to convince her to play Quidditch but she didn't wish to," explained Emma, shrugging nonchalantly. "I've already tried." Shaking her head from side to side, she laughed slightly and gave Nik a smirk.

"I'm not mean" he said like a gazillion times "Hey there, I'm Nikolas fifth year too" he nodded and shook Emma's hand. "Yeah she has been telling me all her plans to rule the world and Pluto" he said, remembering their conversation during the feast. "It is not a stick of death" he said firmly. You are not going to diee! "Come on! Trust me" he said. He wasn't going to let her do something too risky, not in her first lesson. He then listened to Emma and her attempts to have Selena on a broom.
So, this was a real challenge. Hmm, he would try anything just to have pygmy puff on a broom "We should try together" he whispered to Emma and smiled to Selena like nothing happened.
Selena groaned. "I don't wanna dieeee," Selena complained. "I'd rather be stuck in the hospital wing for two months!" Selena huffed. Really, she would, and she wouldn't mind. It would be better than falling off a flimsy stick. Emma, tell him, I can die from a stick as dangerous as a broom, at least you can avoid spells from a wand!" Selena exclaimed, stroking Kent. Kent shivered slightly. Maybe he was asleep.
When Nikolas said "trust me", Selena looked at him like he was insane. "What if I don't trust you?" Selena demanded to know. Because she kinda didn't. She did only just meet this weirdo.
"It's not the world, meanie Nik, it's the universe. Then all of time and space and parallel universes," Selena huffed. He should get it right, really. And Emma should too. Because the Era of the Crazytastic Besties were upon them all... *insert some evil laughter here*

Whats wrong? Raven just noticed that Sarah looks... wonder to her.
"Cheer up! I don't like other who underestimate muggleborn witch." she smiled to her.
Sarah blinked. Cheer up? She hadn't even been not cheerful. She had simply been confused.
She laughed a moment later, though, "They'll learn soon enough not to underestimate me," she said.
Not to sound arrogant, but Sarah just wasn't someone who backed down without a fight. Anyone who messed with her or her friends who be shown just exactly who was to be underestimated.
Selena groaned. "I don't wanna dieeee," Selena complained. "I'd rather be stuck in the hospital wing for two months!" Selena huffed. Really, she would, and she wouldn't mind. Nikolas was already tired of hearing Selena saying she was going to die. He wasn't telling her to go and feed dragons, it was just a broom. He sighed and rolled his eyes "For the last time, you. are. not.gonna.die" he said straight to her face. Got it? Now he was giving up at his attempt to have Selena on a broom. "Okay then, forget it. No brooms for you" Pshh, what she didn't knew was that he had a trick under his sleeve. Hehe.
Hmm, maybe trust me weren't the right words. They only met like hours ago. "You'll learn to trust me" he nodded. Oh yes, she will and then he won't be meanie anymore.
"Yeah, universe and all that stuff. Is the same anyways" Bleh. She and her crazy ideas of ruling the world.
Sarah turned around, "Geez, Melchior, how did you manage to get lost" she smiled teasingly, "Melchior, this is Raven, Lana, and Lysandra. Lana's a first year like us, Lysandra is a second year, and... I'm not entirely sure what year Raven is...?"
"I'm feeling pretty good." Sarah smiled, "I'm not sure if I belong to Slytherin just yet, but I kind of like it here. My parents are muggles, they're completely clueless about what house I'm in." she laughed.
Melchior could feel his cheeks redden. Trying to hide his face, he looked up. Of course Sarah had to point out that he got lost. He looked back down to the girls.
“Hello Raven, Lana, and Lysandra, it’s very nice to meet you,” he said. He then looked to Sarah. “And I didn’t get lost,” he said. “I just happened to have been given misguided directions...”

Melchior shook her hand. “Thank you Lana,” he said. At least she knew how he felt.

Melchior smirked at her. “Thank you, again, Sarah,” he said with a smile. He then began to look around the room. It was very interesting to be staying in a place underground.

"Will you join the tryout? I know, the chance for being in quidditch team in our first year was very hard." said Raven

"Yes. I try to be a chaser. But So many older students were assign it. Maybe the chance for first year are not too big." said Raven. She ever played it with her brother. Well, it was just like shoot and pass the quaffle on the broomstick.

Something was touching him. What if it was one of those scary, overgrown, big teeth piranha that lived deep, deep, deep, REALLY deep under water?! Of course they couldn't breath without water, but he was in the Wizarding world, what if they did here?
"GAH!" he gasped, jumping away, feeling goosebumps all over his body. When he looked up his green eyes spotted a kid.
A kid.
It wasn't an overgrown piranha. "Oh gosh, you scared me," he said, running his hand through his curly hair. That was a close one. He looked out of the window again. "I-I was looking for a scary, overgrown, big teeth piranha," he said. Then he realized how stupid that sounded out loud.
Daichi couldn't help but laugh at the guy's behaviour when he had apparently *scared him*. "You should have seen your face!" he giggled yes giggled but he stopped almost instantly when he heard him talking about looking for scary , overgrown, big teeth piranha. "T-there are piranha's like that? O__o" he stuttered as he didn't dare to look back through the window. What if one would swim right in front of him and then go all RAAAWWWRR ?!
Just then he too heard a young girls laugh. He followed the older guy's gaze to see a girl laughing. He frowned for a moment, what was so funny? IT WAS SCARY! But then she told ..more to the other guy.. that she would like to see one of those...things...
eh?
As the two introduced themselves he felt left out. He pouted his lips and placed his hands on his hips. "I'm Daichi..." he said, puffing his cheeks and looked through the window again. Still no piranha! Luckyyyy. Or...He suddenly smirked to himself as he watched the glass. "AAAAH PIRANHAAAAA!" he shouted loudly at pointed his finger on to the glass where absolutely NOTHING was happening.

Oh.
*Shudder*
This room certainly didn't have the warm and friendly atmosphere that her brothers spoke of. It was under the lake for starters which gave it the appearance of being dark and damp. Although there was a large fireplace giving off heat and plenty of places to sit and relax after a hard days studying, it was no the homely and comfortable room that was Gwenyth was used to. It was crowded definitely, which made it seem a little more like home than it would have been if there was only one or two students there. But her brothers had both stayed up in the towers where they spoke of it suiting their needs, down here was nothing like they had described to her. In fact, it was actually quite scary.
She took a seat on one of the couches that were far enough away from other people so she didn't have to get in their ways and rested her head in her palm as her elbow awkwardly rested on the arm of the sofa.

Sarah huffed. GUILT. How she hated guilt.
Misguided directions? How did he get those? Well, maybe he got sidetracked like Lana and was given cruddy direction by some snarky upperclassmen.
"Thanks for what?" she asked, her grin was back now. She never frowned for long.
Nikolas was already tired of hearing Selena saying she was going to die. He wasn't telling her to go and feed dragons, it was just a broom. Selena beamed. "YES! No brooms! I win!" Selena exclaimed. And if she should ever see one, she would throw Kent at Meanie Nik. Not because she hated Kent, but because the mean taller person deserved it. "Can I get my chocolate bar? It's clear that I won the bet before," Selena added. She wanted that chocolate bar. It was... chocolate. So of course, it was natural to want it.
Selena couldn't help but scoff. Learn to trust him? "You're trying to get me on a broom, trust only goes so far," she said, before sticking her tongue out at him. Hmph. He was just a lonely person with no friends.
She didn't even know where that thought came from...
"No, it's not, a universe has more than one world on it," Selena pointed out. He was so ignorant. Hmph.

Suppose she had better get used to this.
Corey made a racket as he came into the common room, skateboard tucked under his arm. It wasn't that he was making any particular sort of noise, it was just that he didn't much care about how loud his footfalls were, or if he blundered into walls or breathed too loud or, as was usual, his stomach audibly growled in hunger. That wasn't to say that the third year couldn't move quietly if he had to, but he just didn't care about disrupting others, so he didn't check himself on it.
He was gonna go down to the grounds and skate in a bit, but for now he made sudden plans to sprawl in a chair instead. Or a couch. That one looked confortable, even if it was occupied.
Corentin threw himself on the other end, heedless of disrupting the girl already sitting there.

The common room. A supposed to be friendly place. If it was so friendly why did her sisters leave. They were both Slytherins and yet they left. And gave the impression the place was as friendly as could be. It probably was. But Lorelai hadn't met that many people to believe it was a friendly place. Maybe it'd be a lot more friendlier if Lori had more friends. Or maybe if she just tried to make it a little more lively. Livelyness would make it all the more pleasent to be there. Only because she was a lively little character.
Making her way to the sofa's, Lori scanned the room for anyone she might know. Nobody. Just complete strangers. She had only met two Slytherins, not that she could actually call them both friends. Only one of them was an actualy friend. Maria. Hmm.
Another person to talk to. Lori sat down on an empty sofa and stared into the fireplace. It was actually quite pretty when concentrated on. Even though it was the most revolting colour in the rainbow. Green. Not a nice colour. But Lori could probably grow to like the colour. Maybe. It was possible. She did have a whole year to get to like the colour.
She looked up at the girl who seemed to rather bored and smiled slightly. She'd wait for her to talk first.

"Hi."
She was hoping for a bit of peace and quiet, that was what she was most looking forward to here. Getting away from the other families, the twins especially, and getting a little privacy, time to herself. But judging by the amount of students in her house alone, and by the amount of noise they made when they entered the room, peace and quiet wasn't something she was about to get.
A sudden jolt distracted Gwen from her thoughts as she bounced a couple of centimetres up in the air as another student sat down on the couch.
Well that was unexpected.
Blinking as the boy sat next to her, around her age she figured. the Brunette turned her head to stare at him. She was wary, she'd heard what Slytherins were 'typically' like and making conversation wasn't like what it was at the commune. He had spoken to her first however, and it would have been rude not to say anything back after all.

What was up with all these quiet, pensive, staring people? And why was she staring into the fireplace and not noticing HIM?
He dropped his skateboard on the ground in front of the couch he'd claimed and rest his feet on it, slouching into the seat comfortably.
Did that one have any food?

"Hi." He agreed and Corentin laughed. "Was that a question?" He slid his feet side to side, letting the wheels of his skateboard roll left to right as far as his legs reached.
"Got any food?"
Girls seemed not to mind feeding him, he had discovered.

A question? Was that how it had come out as? "No. Sorry" she apologized quietly before glancing down at his feet and the skateboard. She'd never really understood how a board on wheels could provide so much amusement and entertainment.
Was that what was always on everyones mind? "Not on me. Isn't the kitchen close?" she asked biting her lip, confused. At least that was what she had thought when she made her way down here. The level above? True she was a new student but she was fairly certain someone had told her that the Hufflepuff Common Room was above and they were near the kitchens.

Skateboard? Must've been a guy. Lorelai raised an eyebrow and looked up at the guy who was sat nearby. Oooo. He was cute. She smiled slightly at him. But what was with the skateboard. At least he was distracting her. "Hey" she said sweetly. She didn't think he was going to talk to her first so she did the next best thing.

Kelsey wondered where her friend was. She`s been gone for awhile. She hoped her friend was okay. Then, she waited. And waited and waited and waited.
OOC:ANYONE???
Almost tripping right through the door and into the common room, michelle looked up, bewildered and perhaps panic-looking she was almost lost and swallowed by the castle! (or just really lost her way around the corridors when she was racing with kelsey).
"..speaking of kelsey," the first year stood on tip-toe to look for her race partner..

With those poor poor house elves.
"Up that way somewhere, haven't actually been there yet." He vaguely gestured in the general direction of up and then let his arm flop back on the couch. "Its just so FAR." And he wasn't starving yet. Another ten minutes and he'd need to get some food. He'd do it on his way outside. "You should carry food on you." He told her.
... you know, in case he needed some in the future. He grinned from his slouchy position on the couch. "So you're a snake person too." Obviously, being as it was the common room for Slytherin. "Is there anything I should know about this place? I mean, I read that book, the History one, but you can't beat first hand knowledge right?" And why wouldn't he assume she'd been here a while? Didn't look like a firstie and aside from his own sorting, Corentin hadn't paid a jot of attention, too busy pining for food and eating the head girl's taffy to care about who went where.

He grinned. If she didn't, who knows? Maybe she'd go find some. That would be brownie points. Instant friendship. Corentin Quimper was entirely led by his stomach.

Food? The boy was asking for food? Well how random was that? But she wasn't gonna grudge him it. He was too cute to say no to. "I've got chocolate" she replied taking it out of her pocket. Dang. There wasn't a lot left. O well. He could have it all. She threw it over to him and lent forward.
"I'm Lorelai, by the way" she said.
