If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
Kimalia walked into the good old common room. The fire blazing from the fireplace made the room feel extra warm. She already saw plenty of people already comfortable in there, Hopefully no one will call me out on losing house points. If anyone should, what would she do? She hoped never to find out. Trying to blend in she went to take a seat only to nearly collide with someone.
Aurora? Why did she have a bleeding lip? Judging by her angry look, someone must've hurt her. "Hey, what happened to you?" Kimalia first asked her.
Aurora was fuming, "Tripped," She glanced at the floor behind her. There was nothing to trip over and she knew for sure she'd tripped on something. "On a jinx apparently. Anyway, excuse me, I'm going to the hospital wing." she said, gesturing to her bleeding mouth and leaving the common room

When she reached Lana, Lysandra heard her name again. Hey Sarah, glad to see you made it here too she waved.
"Yeah, I just followed the prefect. But I almost missed the prefect because I was busy talking to a boy named Mechior. He should be around here somewhere..."
Sarah looked vaguely around the common room, wondering if the boy had managed to get himself lost. She shrugged, frowning, then smiled again at Lysandra.

What? Aurora tripped, over what? Her shoelace? There wasn't anything for her to trip on. Then Kimalia heard jinx which left her speechless allowing Aurora to leave. But who jinxed her? Kimalia looked around the room until she saw a few older girls laughing in her direction.

"So, are you feeling better now?"
Melchior promptly walked into the common room of silver and green. Admiring the décor, he spotted a familiar face.
“There you are!” he said as he approached Sarah. Melchior scratched behind his head. “Sorry it took me a while to get here....” Melchior then noticed that she was surrounded by some older looking students.
“Pardon my interruption,” he said awkwardly. He gave a slight wave of his hand, “Hi, I’m Melchior.”

Sarah turned around, "Geez, Melchior, how did you manage to get lost" she smiled teasingly, "Melchior, this is Raven, Lana, and Lysandra. Lana's a first year like us, Lysandra is a second year, and... I'm not entirely sure what year Raven is...?"

"I'm feeling pretty good." Sarah smiled, "I'm not sure if I belong to Slytherin just yet, but I kind of like it here. My parents are muggles, they're completely clueless about what house I'm in." she laughed.

A boy came up to the group of girls around the fireplace. He already knew Sarah and she joked about him being lost. "Hey hey hey Sarah," she laughed. "I got lost, too so shh." she grinned in a joking way.
"Hi Melchior. I'm Lana," she extended her hand.

Yeah. I'm feeling so much better now, thank you. Now all I am is tired. It's been quite a day Lysandra answered. So how did you guys think of your first day at Hogwarts?
Walking into Slytherin Common room Kennedy felt odd. Walking in robes and not his regular clothes. It did surprise him though, when he read about the Slytherin common room it sounded so gloomy and scary, but now that he was here he didn't feel it like that. Maybe it's because it was his common room or maybe his brain was still fuzzy over the whole exchange thing. Whatever it was, he didn't pick at it. The more he liked this place, the better he'd feel.
His green eyes roamed the room and landed on the windows. That was so weird cool that they lived under a lake. Walking ever so quietly to try not to attract any attention, Kennedy went to stand in front of the window. It was just amazing, although he did NOT like underwater creatures. Ugh! He learned about some of them in his science class. Some creatures had BIG, light bulb eyes with HUGE, sharp teeth. He wondered if the Wizarding world had the same creatures or if they had more grotesque animals.

Sarah laughed, "He was supposedly following me, I'm merely pointing out..." she trailed off, wondering how long she was allowed to use the joke. She supposed it wasn't too nice to keep commenting on it.
Then she smiled. At least Lana seemed to be getting along with him.

"I love this place!" Sarah exclaimed, "It's totally wicked, and I can't wait for classes to start."
She paused, "If you're tired you can go lie down, don't let us keep you up," she said, her voice softer than normal. She had learned from her brother not to mess with tired people.
I mean, that's about my total analysis of the so called 'common room'. I seriously doubt the walls are even sanity.
Sigh.
Well then.
As I kinda stumbled into the 'common room', I happen to notice that NOBODY IS SMILING. I mean, dang! WHO would think about sorting ME into a house that people didn't frikkin SMILE. These Brits were drab.
Sigh.
Again.
This was becoming somewhat of a pattern recently. 'Ew. Brits. Sigh' I guess it was like a mantra. Yea. However, none of the boringbrits realized I was here yet, so I carefully trooped over to a somewhat comfortable armchair (while carefully avoiding the darker spots in the floor) and slumped down dejectedly.

Eris couldn't help but notice a sullen boy sit down in the armchair across from each other. She didn't know who he was, and of course we couldn't have that! The dark haired little tomboy tiptoed on over to the chair even though silence was not really necessary.
"Hello there!" The short haired witch beamed a childish toothy grin as she greeted him.
"Well, not exactly. I was just kinda wandering around, looking at some of paintings. I didn't get too far. As soon as I noticed I got away from the group I tried to find my way back."

Desiree finally found the dungeons, she had decided to leave the feast early, confident she could find her way to common room on her own. She was very very wrong. She had wandered around for an hour before stumbling upon the pathway to the dungeons, but she didn't mind it was nice exploring the castle. She had had to wait outside until someone who knew the password came..
Entering the room she smiled at the green fire and antique looking decorations, it seemed cozy. Most people wouldn't describe it like that, but to Desiree it was. That's when she noticed a group of girls and a boy across the room, "Lana, Raven!" she called waving at them, she probably seemed a little too excited but oh well. she ran over to them "I'm so happy to see you guys, I kind of got lost..." she explained laughing. Then she noticed the other two and didn't want to be rude "I'm Desiree." she said smiling at the other girl and boy.

Well, if you guys don't mind, I think I will go and get some sleep and hopefully see you guys around sometime Lysandra said with a yawn. She then waved and started towards the stairs that led to the girls dormitory.
Ashley had wanted to explore so badly. The place was huge, and he was sort of restless. But he'd thought that it would be of his best interest to go on to his dorm. He had to figure out where it was and how to get inside and it would be best to do that now instead of trying to do it on his own later. Besides, he'd felt a little bad that his conversations had gotten cut short at the feast, having become quite distracted by the speech and the appearance of the food finally. He'd been just a little close to starving, and by that time, he'd become quite focused on eating, thinking he could continue talking to whoever when he was done. He hadn't realized it would be time to go so soon after.
So, off to see where he would be living for the next forever years of his life. As the common room came into view, he had to stop for a moment, looking around in a completely embarrassingly lost kind of way. There somehow seemed to be even more people here. Perhaps it was because the room was, well, a room, whereas the hall had been so spaceous and that table sooo long. People were more concentrated here.
As soon as he realized that horrible look was on his face, he wiped it away for a more indifferent one, still looking around as he walked farther in, taking in the decor and even more people.
Desiree finally found the dungeons, she had decided to leave the feast early, confident she could find her way to common room on her own. She was very very wrong. She had wandered around for an hour before stumbling upon the pathway to the dungeons, but she didn't mind it was nice exploring the castle. Then she noticed the other two and didn't want to be rude "I'm Desiree." she said smiling at the other girl and boy.
Sarah gave a small smile. She was standing with quite a few people by now. Geez. Well, she guessed that when you took friends, and then added friends friends... well, it probably got pretty crowded.
"Hi," Sarah said, "It's nice to meet you Desiree. I'm Sarah Oliver."
After the feast, João had just followed the people in green robes and he was in his warm common room in no time. This pleased him--the short distance between where he was to eat and where he was to spend most of his time in here. It also pleased him that only Slytherins seemed to be heading this way, so that meant less people to disturb them.
Entering the room, he moved away a few steps from the door not to close it and just took in the place he was now in. So they were indeed under the lake level, judging by the low ceiling and the green light. Magic could do many wonders, however, and the temperature reminded him of the Brazil nights. He smiled faintly, pleased with this fact as well. He still hadn't forgotten the scandal of dirt at the feast, but he was starting to like this castle more with such details. Not that he was likely to spend much time here, but still... it was good enough to be at for a year.
Done with his observation, he moved on to the coaches to test them. Sitting on one, his smile got bigger. Yeah, it was comfortable enough... so far. As long as some older idiot came to claim this spot as their favourite.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

SHUDDER.
Daichi had been laying on one of the sofa's in the common room and groaned in boredom. He sighed deeply as he rolled on to his stomach, his hands supporting his chin as he found an older student walking to the window. It wasn't that he was curious about that but what did made him curious was that he stared through the window and then shuddered. What was up with him?
Getting up from the couch, Daichi walked over the the older student. He wondered what he had seen... He walked with a wide bow around the fireplace and stood next to him. Like LITERALLY next to him. Daichi's sleeve touched the others as he gazed through the window too. He didn't say anything but tried to see what the older one was looking at. Mweh not much. When a minute passed he pouted his lips. "What are we looking at?" he asked without taking his gaze from the window.
Elina saw a girl sit down on a couch and decided to go and talk to her. "Hey!" exclaimed Elina, "I'm Elina McDonnaldson, What's your name?"
Angelina was sitting in silence, when all of a suden a voice spoke up. She turned her head towards the voice, and found a girl standing there introducing herself. Angelina found out her name was Elina McDonnaldson. So Angelina introducted herself, "Nice to meet you, Elina. I'm Angelina Andrews"

While Angelina was talking to Elina, out of the corner of her eye she saw someone else come over, and spoke. "Hi, nice to meet you Raven. I'm Angelina Andrews, and I'm in first year too," Angelina spooke with a smile.
Alice walked into the common room and gasped. The room gave off a creepy but enchanting feeling. Alice knew that she couldn't wait to make some friends and hang out here. Alice tucked a loose strand of red hair behind her ear and sat in a comfy looking chair.
She definitely understood why she was a Slytherin. Her mum always said the houses all share at least one quality but you were placed in the one you embodied the most. Alice knew that she was the ambitious type but was also a bit of a bookworm. She also doesn't open up to many people.

Marie looked at the girl that was asking what was so funny. "If we wanted you to know what was so funny we would have invited you into our conversation." Yeah, Marie was in a mood now... a Don't get in my business mood.
Hmm, at least this one knew how to talk with respect to the Head Girl so maybe she wasn't so bad. She would let Evelyn decide if this one could stay or not.

Oh and look who just came in. The boy from the feast... Joe, who wanted to be called Marcelo. And he was sitting on the couch right next to HER chair. "Hey there Marcelo." See she remembered. "How you liking Hogwarts so far?" Not that he had seen much of it yet, but he was in the most important place right now. The Slytherin Common Room was the best room in the castle after all... outside of the Room of Requirement.

The girl who she had first approached at the fireplace before her friends go there has seemed to mumble something so she turned.

Just as Kennedy imagined an ugly looking fish to appear at the window he felt something brush against his arm...
O____________O
Something was touching him. What if it was one of those scary, overgrown, big teeth piranha that lived deep, deep, deep, REALLY deep under water?! Of course they couldn't breath without water, but he was in the Wizarding world, what if they did here?
"GAH!" he gasped, jumping away, feeling goosebumps all over his body. When he looked up his green eyes spotted a kid.
A kid.
It wasn't an overgrown piranha. "Oh gosh, you scared me," he said, running his hand through his curly hair. That was a close one. He looked out of the window again. "I-I was looking for a scary, overgrown, big teeth piranha," he said. Then he realized how stupid that sounded out loud.
