If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

Just staring at the ring, the actual ring itself wasn't really processing in her mind. Nope. She was still stuck on the fact that she didn't get Marie anything for her birthday. Perhaps there was something in her dormitory that she could give her friend? Otherwise, she'd have to make up some EXCUSE, and how was she supposed to top THAT ring for Marie's birthday anyhow!? Gosh darnit Matty!
Although, she was suddenly pulled back to present time. Hmm? Gaze moving to her friend's face, Evelyn frowned and half stood up before sitting back down, not really knowing what she was supposed to do. Wait....wait WHAT!? "No, I umm..." MEEP! Standing up suddenly, she turned to head to the girl's dormitory. "I'll be right back."

Looking between her friends it was her turn to stare at them for a moment. "I don't know or care how much the ring cost Destiny, and of course it's real. Does it look like a fake to you?" Seriously, what did it matter how much the ring cost? It could have cost five sickles and she would be happy with it. As long as she knew Matty loved her and it came from his heart that was all that mattered to her.
Looking back over at Evelyn she couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her friends mind. "You just gonna sit there and stare at me like I have some sort of disease or what?"

Blinking a few times as Marie pulled her hand away, Destiny threw herself back onto the sofa. Eeesh, she only asked one question and Marie had to get all angry. She thought it was a very important question, and just because it looked real, didn't mean it was real. Destiny was just trying to help her friend out! And at least she said something..unlike Evelyn over there.
Evelyn who was now going to the dorms.
She blinked her eyes a few more times as she watched her just leave and turning back to Marie, she steepled her fingers together. She was thinking. She was thinking very hard. She had no idea what she was supposed to say! Of course she was happy for her friend, but when she thought of saying that in her head, it just sounded so stupid. GAH! She was horrible with this kind of stuff! "When you have a baby, will you name it after me?"
Because babies came right after getting married.
