Kennedy was about to go into his it-doesn't-matter-if-you-haven't-written speech, but instead stayed quiet. He still believed that friendships survived that, they survived everything. Shouldn't they? He stared at the fire and thought about it. Of course, they did or maybe that's just what he wanted to believe.

He gulped when she said last time. It sounded so final...so sad. His hands tightened into fists. He's never been in a situation like this. He could handle bullying, but the thought of someone so young loosing their life was just horrible. Sure, in the Muggle world, he would have given up hope, but here...there was magic in every corner. Couldn't that come of help to someone. Couldn't it save lives even if the person was an inch away from death? "A potion," he whispered, still staring blankly at the fire. "Can't some kind of healing potion heal her?" And maybe even help her live? There had to be one.

Magic could solve everything...couldn't it?

His head then turned to her. "You have detention? What'd you do?" Did she use that cool looking book on someone?

It was times like this that you could tell if someone had been brought up in the muggle world, they had so much faith in magic. "There's only so much that magic can do..." Aurora said, fiddling with then end of one of her curls. Katja was in one of the best wizarding hospitals in the world; if magic could help her then the healers would know what to do.

Ah... "I um... threatened a first year in that meeting thing and she threw a stink bomb at me... in front of Lafay..." she explained. Honestly, it wasn't as if she'd even done anything wrong!

Aurora looked down at her crumpled robes. "I should go and get changed." she said, intending to do so and then curl up on her bed until she had to go to detention. She threw her arms around Kennedy and hugged him, "Thank you." she said before she let go and stood up. "I... I'll see you later." She managed a weak smile before she left for the dormitories.

Kaiya walked into the Slytherin common room, hoping to meet a new friend or two. Since she was single and ready to mingle, she took a seat on one of the armchairs near the fire, waiting for somebody to come up to her and say Hi. She had no friends here at Hogwarts, and was hoping to make one or two really close ones.

Maddy came down from the dorm, with nouthing to do but homework. She was really not in the mood for that, anyway she was hoping to meet some friends here. She saw a girl sitting by herself at the fire, maybe she'd join her. "Hey, were you in my Herbology class?"

"Hey! Ya, I was! You're Maddy, right? I'm Kaiya, by the way. What do you think of that herbology homework? I finished it, did you? It took me forever!" Kaiya told her, happy someone decided to sit by her and talk to her, and, for once, acually notice her.

Faina plopped down on the floor. She preferred the floor, but she didn't really have a choice, seeing as all the armchairs were full. She pulled out her ukulele and started to strum some chords, quickly moving into a song. She sang the words quietly to herself, so as not to disturb anyone further than she probably already was.

Alexia walked excitedly into the Slytherin Common room, looking for a nice armchair to relax a bit, then after a short while of searching she saw an empty chair near the fire. while she was getting closer to the empty chair she noticed that there were two girls sitting beside it and she wondered if she could make friends with them. "Hi! is this chair already occupied?" she said while pointing to the empty chair beside them.

"I haven't even started yet" Maddy replied guiltely. "Hey Kaiya nice to meet you, what toadstool did you choose. I'm thinking about doing the poison jelly toadstool ". Maddy was happy someone wanted to talk to her.

With a grin on his face, Jonathan entered his home. It was no jungle, but, meh, It'll do.

Sprinting across the room, Jonathan LEAPED over the arm of a sofa and landed on his back.

Delightful.

He took out his beloved trail-mix, and started munching on some crickets. mmm..... CRICKETS!!! He thought about Aurora, whom he just kissed. BAH, that was nothing, though. Jonathan had kissed loads of girls. Though, she seemed to take it oddly. Odd. *MUNCH*

Aurora followed Kirk to... the common room. So he was in Slytherin. Brilliant. She stormed after him and scowled as he sat down. "Kirk. Do not kiss someone and then just disappear!" she shouted. "It. Is. Rude!" Then she stormed off to the girl's dorms, returning seconds later and sitting as far away as possible from the lunatic and his crickets.

Honestly, what was it with boys and kissing her?! It was insane! She took the bottle from her pocket that she had retrieved from the dorm and held it up in front of the fire, letting the light shine through it... Hmm, yes, it was definitely fermenting... but it wasn't quite ready...

Nom Nom Nom. A tasty snack in a tasty..... Common.... okay, never mind. Not long after Aurora was freaking out at her. Jonathan NEARLY chocked on his Mix!!!

"LOOK, lady, I- oh." She had gone. So, Jonathan, was just sitting up.... awkwardly. Waiting for the girl's return.

"LOOK, lady. Just because YOU can't appreciate the sensual prowess that is my incredible kissing skill, doesn't mean you have to be all ANGRY at my leaving!" Some. People.

"I never said anything about skill! I was more surprised than angry! It was the fact you just left! IT'S RUDE!" she shouted, waving him away, the potion sloshing around in it's phial.

"Now, if you would care to leave, I am trying to work something out." She pointedly turned in her seat so that her back was facing him and started to swirl the potion, checking its consistency.

Jonathan chuckled a little. So she DID enjoy it..... You've still got it, Jonathan Kirk. That's when his attention was brought to the phial swishing around in Aurora's hand. Blatanly ignoring the girl's request, he slid down the sofa CLOSER to the girl before looking at the phial, then back up at Aurora.

I WONDER what's IN IT!!!! I HOPE IT'S TASTY!!!

"What is it?" he just asked.

ARGH! He was so infuriating! "What are you doing? I asked you to-"

Well... if he asked... She was proud of it. "It's something I'm working on." she said, grinning. "And the colour is AMAZING, look." She held it up to the light from the fire and swirled it around. Sure, right now anyone who smelt it would be instantly knocked out but... only temporarily...

The phial suddenly slipped from her grip and tinkled against the floor, luckily the phials she had bought were unbreakable but still, she should probably be more careful.

There had to be at least one good friend Angelina could make here at Hogwarts! So no better place to go then the Slytherin common room. She could meet someone her age, or her own house. Angelina looked around the common room for any lonely person to talk to, when she found a girl standing nearby. Angelina walked over to her and said, "Hi I'm Angelina."

OOOOOHHHH..... LOOK AT ALL THE COLORS....... Jonathan was reaching for this magestic beauty in a phial when it fell! Jonathan jumped back a little expecting a crash.... But it didn't happen...

OH My! OH My! OH My! Thank goodness.

The boy leaned over to pick it up for Aurora when he thought he'd get a better look at the color. So, he brought the phial up to his face, undid the top and-

*THUMP* Face down. On the floor.

"NO! JONATHAN DON'T DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!" Aurora yelled as he began to open the...

OH NO!!!!

She caught the phial and closed it, holding her breath, then she hid it in her robes.

She looked at Jonathan... what was she going to do?!?!?! She bent down, kneeling next to him and managed to turn him over. She felt his chest... good, still a heart beat, still breathing. What sort of IDIOT opens a potion when they don't know what's inside it?!?!?!

Well, she should probably get him to the hospital wing... he could have injured himself.

She put his arm over her shoulder and managed to drag him up onto the sofa. "Jonathan? Wake up Jonathan, come on, we need to get you to the hospital wing, Jonathan." Nope... nothing. She stood up and managed, somehow, to pull him up with her. "Come on, please wake up Jonathan, I can't carry you there on my own." she said. She had heard that saying someone's name would help wake them...

Hopefully it would work.

Jonathan hardly knew what was going on, he heard his name, then he forgot, heard his name, then forgot again. every time he heard his name it was like he heard it for the very first time. But he knew it was Aurora saying it.

The boy slumped over onto Aurora, hugging her middle. Not exactly aware he was doing it. But his legs and other body parts twitched a bit.

"Come on, Jonathan." Oh god, oh god, oh god... What if he wouldn't wake up, and he died, and it was ALL HER FAULT! With the STUPID potion...

Great, now her nose was bleeding. It always did when she was freaking out... Well maybe she could get the healer to do something about it when they were there. "Wake up Jonathan, it's alright." She managed to half drag, half carry him out of the common room... Now to face the... four? Five? Flights of stairs to the hospital wing...

Bella sat down in her favourite seat by the fire. Nobody dared to challenge her. Shes was queen of Slytherin and she knew it. She sighed, she hadn't really made an effort to befriend anyone. She only had her "group". She was bored of them, she wanted to meet someone new. Just then someone approached her...

Bella sighed as she sat down in her usual seat by the fire. No one ever challenged her, not even the older years. She was the queen of Slytherin and she knew it. But one thing bugged her more than anything.
Who was that boy she couldn't stop thinking about that she'd seen in the hall earlier? She knew she could have any other boy, after all, all they did was stare at her dreamily all day. But who was he? Just then someone approached her...

"Hey" Maddy decided to talk to the other girl sitting by the fire, her other friend wasn't responding. "What do you think of the classes so far?"

Lux Conrad strolled into the common room, a small smile playing on her pretty face. As much as she'd never admit it, she had actually missed this place. And to think, she had been so against moving here...

But compared to what she had been through the last year, Hogwarts was the best place for her right now, and for once, she didn't complain or argue with her mothers decision. In fact, it was her who suggested she should return. She couldn't stay in that house much longer without going mad.

The blonde sat down on one of the armchairs in front of the fire and grinned to herself briefly, hoping no-one would see her. Not that anyone really knew her anyway. Lux had been pretty much alone in her third year - why should that change in her fifth?

"No, Of course. Sit down, no problem. I'm Kaiya, who're you?" Kaiya aid to her hastily. She was so happy to meet another person(:

"Hi Angelina, I'm Kaiya, come sit, pleased to meet you. How have your classes been so far?" Kaiya asked her quickly after she sat down. Another friend, Awesome!!!
