If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
Just after the feast had finished and the students were sent to the common rooms, Eris felt to contrasting feelings fighting against each out ferociously. The urge to run into her dorm and get the sleep that her eyes and body seemed to crave, and the excitement that practically pulsed within her to stay awake and explore everything the common room that would be her home for the next seven years had to offer.
The latter won.
Her jaw just may have dropped to the ground if the small witch did keep control of it. A few fellow Slytherins had gathered in the common room already sitting on the more than welcoming couches. There were no windows as she suspected, but it had a nice feel to it. Fighting the urge to run up and explore her dorm. Eris sat down on one of the couches with a smile and closed her eyes to take it all in.
Mordred waited until Aurora handed her the music sheet. He looked at it and gave a nod. “Sure.” he said as he hummed it inside his head. He can already hear his flute playing the tune. “We can go to the Room of Requirements tomorrow, before any of the first years find it.” he said as he grinned and looked around him. There were a lot of firsties inside the common room that night. “Test subject? There’ll be loads of them wandering around the castle.” he added mischievously. “I too need to practice a certain spell off Julian’s book.” he said as he looked away and tapped his wand inside his sleeve.
Grinning wickedly, Aurora's eyes took on a mischievous glint. "Brilliant, sounds like a plan. There are a couple of things I need from the potions storeroom too." she said, crossing her legs in her seat. She surveyed all the first years with an evil glitter in her eye. "Yes, though maybe we don't attack the Slytherins yet." she said, laughing. She had no plans of attacking anyone. "What's this new spell you're talking abou-" Then she was interrupted.

"You." Yes, you. Point. "Move."
Her seat!
Aurora turned slowly and looked up at- Evelyn Flores. Great. So this was the new head girl. She scowled "No. Sit somewhere else." she said, gesturing to the plethora of free sofas and chairs. "You might be the head girl now but you don't get your own reserved seat. Or is that a new part of the job description?" Aurora said sarcastically, folding up her music and putting it in the pocket of her robes.
Alice recited the password and made her way into the dark, but very comfy common room. "Hmm.. I barely remember it all" she thought to herself. Remembering she had her young ball python Minerva still pressed inside one of her robe's pockets, she quickly took her out to give her some fresh air. Looking around the room she could see quite a few other younger kids hanging around. She hoped she'd be able to grab a seat somewhere comfortable, but it seemed like all the couches were taken- but she spotted a rather nice looking arm chair and headed straight to it s she knew it would be taken in an instant. She plopped herself down and hoped to possibly meet more Slytherins, or see a familiar face or two..

Marie was in a happy mood for once. She had a GREAT summer, the train ride and been perfect, the feast was... well less than perfect since some snakes seemed to think it was alright to lose house points already, but other than that it was perfect since she had been with Matty who was now on his way to his dorm room. Now it was time to find her friends and do some catching up with them.
Stepping into the common room it didn't take long to spot the ones she was looking for. Walking over to them her smile... and her happy mood faded just a bit at what she heard.
Marie glared at the little kid who was so RUDELY sitting in the seat that everyone who had been a student there for the past six terms clearly knew was Evelyn's spot. Evelyn who was now headgirl. "If I was you kid I'd get out of that seat now and go sit somewhere else... NOW" Letting her wand drop into her hand she stood there ready to make this kid move. She then glanced quickly over at HER chair making sure she didn't have to tell someone else to move. Luck for all these kids in here they hadn't put their bums in HER spot.
Was anyone sitting in Destiny's seat that she needed to take care of? She would so do it if she had to.
That's right... the She-Snakes, who now had the Head Girl were here so get out of their way.
Selena skipped into the Slytherin Common Room after announcing the password. It felt lovely to be back here after a year lost. Oooooh. Her favorite chair was still there! Selena beamed and skipped over to the chair and settled down. It was the chair right by the fireplace, it was warm and comfy and she was fairly certain she could fall asleep right away in the chair. Mmm... squishy.
Meanwhile, her pygmy puff rolled off her head and onto her lap. Selena frowned and stuck the purple ball of fluff back onto her head. Kent needed to learn to sit. Maybe there was a pygmy puff training school...

Wha...
Obviously there was a reason she didn't like this girl. o____O!
Frowning and narrowing her eyes, Evelyn placed her hands on her hips and leaned forward to whisper, "It is now." Glancing briefly at the boy she was talking to, only recognizing him just a tad from last term, the seventh year smirked and stood up straight. "I'm sorry to interrupt you and your boyfriend, but-"
But someone was now interrupting her.

Her smirk widened as she crossed her arms, slightly nodding at what she said and was about to turn her attention back to Miss Stubborn here but something else out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Meep. Wand.
"Come on now Marie..." she said quietly, yet loud enough for Miss Stubborn and her boyfriend to hear. "At least give them a chance to move first." You know, before she did anything to permanently stick their back sides to a separate pair of chairs?

While Alice was getting settled in to her comfy chair, she noticed a girl that might be around her age come in with a pygmy puff that had a very nice shade of purple. Seeing as she loved pygmy puffs herself she decided to approach the girl. "Hello there! I couldn't help but notice your pygmy puff! He is quite pretty! I do love them! In fact I actually breed them!" She hoped the girl wouldn't think Alice was TOO much of a weirdo for approaching her, as she was hoping to meet a few new people.

The short girl was distracted from her thoughts of pygmy puffs and comfy, squishy chairs by a girl who had approached her... and significantly taller. Thank you short genes Selena beamed at the girl though. "That's so cool!! Oh, Kent doesn't like being called pretty... he doesn't like being squished either," she said with a frown. She looked at Kent who seemed to shiver in agreement. "Do you know how to make them stay on your head? Because Kent keeps rolling off," Selena admitted.
And she was determined to keep the fluffy thing on her head... no matter what!

After preeching the password, Lorelai stepped inside the common room. She smirked. It felt good to be in Slytherin. Making her way toward the empty sofa, she scanned around the room looking for anyone she might know. No one. But there was someone who looked like she'd be good to talk to. YAY! New friend maybe? "Hey. I'm Lorelai, or Lori. Whichever you remember best" she said kinda politely to the slightly older girl as she sat down on the sofa.

Aurora glared at this new addition. "Are you threatening me? Because I'm pretty sure - if you're planning on cursing me - that's against the rules. Wouldn't want to get in trouble over the sake of a seat would we?" She saw the girl produce her wand put of te corner of her eye. "Seriously? You're going to use that? On a third year who has done nothing wrong?" She raised her eyebrow. Every inch of her was itching to take out her own wand but her brains stepped in; She's older than you. And if you don't retaliate then it's her who's in the wrong. So she kept her hands loosely in her lap.
WHAT O_____o She glanced at Mordred. Luckily Aurora wasn't the sort to blush but did she just say what I think she said?!?!
Aurora narrowed her eyes at the head girl, almost - almost - daring her to try something. "One. Mordred is not my boyfriend. Two. I would have moved in the first place had you asked nicely - I know it's wishful thinking for you but you should try it sometime. Manners get you places. And three. I have done nothing wrong and if anything happens to me you are going to be the one who's punished, not me. And we wouldn't want you losing that shiny new badge would we." Aurora added in a low growl, wondering what the worst punishment was for accidentally involving the head girl in a failed potions experiment...

Alice laughed at what the girl said about her pygmy puff. "Oh! Well let him know I'm sorry for calling him cute.. He's very handsome!" she beamed. "As for keeping them on your head, that's a chore in itself! I have 7 adult puffs back home and only one of them seems to be able to balance wherever you put him!" It all happened so fast.
One minute, she was there talking to Evelyn about being fed grapes on a fork, and the next, Evelyn is over by the sofas demanding the girl that was sitting in her seat to get up. It was all quite amusing, and just when she thought it couldn't get anymore amusing, in walked Marie.
Destiny knew it was going to get good now. And Marie sure did not disappoint.
Taking a few steps back, because she was sure those two could handle the situation on their own, she brought the bag of chocolate frogs out from behind her back and did not hesitate to stick her hand in the bag. Pulling one out, she began opening it, her eyes moving from her friends, to the other girl, and back to her friends, just waiting for something to happen. Marie did have her wand out already.
And then that girl happened and.. her friends were not going to like what that girl had said.
"Boooo!!"
And then like it wasn't her who just did that, Destiny shoved the chocolate frog into her mouth and began looking for the source of the boo'er.

Glaring back at the brat sitting there Marie stepped closer to her. "No, I'm not threatening you... I'm making a PROMISE to you. Either move now or you're gonna wish you had moved on your own." Marie didn't make idle threats, she made promises that she ALWAYS followed through on. "And no, I'm gonna use this on a third year who has been rude and disrespectful to not only her house Prefect but the school Head Girl. Now I'm telling you for the last time... get out of that seat and find someplace else to sit before I move you myself." And then she wouldn't be able to move.

Because the girl had kinda told her to pick a name for her, indirectly of course. "I'm Selena, I'm awesome and I'm going to rule the universe," Selena said beaming, introducing herself. She had said that so many times recently... hmm... she should change it up.

Melania finally walked into the Slytherin common room. She looked around and automatically felt at home. Was it weird that her mum had kept their home dark and gloomy? Well, Lana certainly didn't consider it "dark and gloomy".. it was just normal for her. She noticed there was quite a few people in here already, but she did not see any familiar faces.
She walked down closer to the sofas and noticed there was a bit of a commotion going on. Close by, she noticed a girl holding chocolate frogs. She looked much older than her and Melania hesitated if she should say something...
She nudged the girl in a friendly way, "Hey. What's going on?"

Hmm, Marie may have had a point, but Evelyn had different thoughts on how long a 'chance' really lasted. It was usually until the person was at the point of no return on her nerves, so it really varied from person to person. This girl had about two more minutes before it was tough luck.
Scratch that. The girl had about twenty seconds now.
Mordred? What a peculiar name. Miss Stubborn could deny it all she wanted, but Evelyn was forever going to label them as a couple...
Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Evelyn's only response to the girl before Marie started threatening her even more was raising an eyebrow. And perhaps... "I did ask nicely." Confusion and annoyance was written all of her face! Really, she did ask nicely.
Standing quietly and staring at the young girl and her boyfriend (kinda young to be together, weren't they?), she did rather hope the girl would just move. Marie was in her angry 'I will punch you' mood, and Evelyn really didn't want to have to explain stuff to Lafay already on the first night back, trying to talk them out of being punished.

...
Mmmph. Who did that?
Glancing behind, she looked around, seeing that Destiny was doing the same before turning her attention back to HER SEAT-
...Aww, yes. Looking back to Destiny, Evelyn narrowed her eyes somewhat as she chuckled quietly. That was good. That was really good.

Lai? That was a first. But she was happy to be called that. Lorelai smiled and nodded. "Sure. Its different and kinda suits my personality. I think" she replied. She thought? OF COURSE IT SUITED HER PERSONALITY. She was manipulative after all. Blink. She was gonna rule the universe. Not if Lori got there first. That was her all time ambition. And when she was the ruler, everything would be completely different. But at least they had something in common. "Hmm, we shall have to see who gets to it first" she replied. The competition was on. Even that Miss Vanderwalked HATED competition. But it'd be fun to see what would happen. The girl, who she now knew as Selena seemed like someone she'd get along with. Provided they didn't get in each other's way, of course.

As Alice was speaking to the girl with the pygmy puff, another girl, which looked maybe a year or two younger approached. After greeting the girl with the pygmy puff, Alice decided she'd befriend the younger girl too. "Why not?" she thought. Alice enjoyed meeting new people, even if they were slightly younger than herself. "Hi There Lori, I'm Alice! We were just talking about pygmy puffs! Do you have a pygmy puff?"

"Oh he was able to do it when he was born actually.. It was actually quite surprising, seeing as the other ones tend to roll off any small area." Alice shrugged, but then then added quickly, "But I'm sure with a enough practice your puff will be able to balance too!"
Alice was impressed by Selena's introduction. Alice let out a laugh, "Wow! How long have you been rehearsing that?" Alice joked. Selena definitely seemed like a really fun person to hang out with. "What year are you? Have you been at Hogwarts for a while?"

Victoria walked into the Slytherin Common Room in aww. It's so ancient...but beautiful at the same time. It's nothing like the place in Beauxbatons. Everything there is shiny and new. But here...at Hogwarts...have this feeling of mystery and many history behind it. Of course, Beauxbatons is a very old school too, but all the fancy decorations have covered any curiously behind it. Victoria have to admitt that she love Hogwarts so far. It's a great school and she can definitely see why there are a lot of people in Slytherin.
Slowly, Victoria sat on a chair next to the fireplace. GREEN FIRE! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?? Though Victoria also love silvery blue fire...silvery blue fire...Beauxbatons have silvery blue fire...Beauxbatons. Victoria suddenly feels sad about Beauxbatons. She misses it. She misses it very much. Hogwarts is great and everything...but it's no Beauxbatons.
Lorelai turned her head to look at the other slightly older girl who Selena was talking to. YAY. Someone else to be friends with. Providing they would manage to get alone. "Hey, Alice. Sadly I don't have fluff ball. Not anymore at least. My sister decided to steal it off me" she replied, pouting a little. Curse that crazy person. Why did she have to be so mean? Just becuase Lori was the youngest didn't make her the most vulnerable. If anything, she was WAY braver that her entire family. With her potty mouth at least.

"Aww that's a shame! I know how it can be with sisters as I have one too, except she's younger than I, but she steals my stuff a lot too and it really annoys me too! I'm sure you'll get your puff back eventually!" Alice said confidently, as Alice always made SURE her sister gave things back. Just then, Alice forgot she had put Minerva back in her pocket. "Oh! You aren't afraid of snakes, are you? as she pulled her ball python out of her pocket.. Maybe Alice should have asked the new girl BEFORE pulling her snake out.. Just in case..
Boo..? What..? Why would someone shout boo? She glanced around, searching for the boo-er... No, nothing... she shook her self and turned back to the older snakes...

And NOW she thought she could talk to Marie like that?
Glaring back at the brat sitting there Marie stepped closer to her. "No, I'm not threatening you... I'm making a PROMISE to you. Either move now or you're gonna wish you had moved on your own." Marie didn't make idle threats, she made promises that she ALWAYS followed through on. "And no, I'm gonna use this on a third year who has been rude and disrespectful to not only her house Prefect but the school Head Girl. Now I'm telling you for the last time... get out of that seat and find someplace else to sit before I move you myself." And then she wouldn't be able to move.
Although she was becoming more scared by the second (Would the girl really use her wand?) Aurora forced herself to look the older snake in the eye. "Well I don't see why I should be respectful or polite to someone when they are rude to me. Whoever they are." she hissed, crossing her arms, inconspicuously slipping her right hand up her left sleeve and feeling the handle of her wand in it's holster. She really didn't want to use it, she didn't want to be thrown out in her first week. And she knew there was no chance at all of her winning.

Aurora scowled all the more, "Then you need to learn what's nice and what's self indulgent arrogance." Oh yes, her parents fights had helped her with her wording in these situations. Deciding it was probably best to get out as soon as possible she stood up and, glancing one last time from Marie to Evelyn, turned to stalk off an sit elsewhere, muttering to herself, just audibly. "I can't believe the Head Girl is more childish than me." Her back prickled as if she could feel the girls watching her, she didn't know if they'd even bothered to glance in her direction but she felt like their eyes were burning holes into her.

Lorelai giggled slightly. "As soon as she gets fed up of her she'll give her back. It doesn't usually take very long. My sisters are both older than me and yet they're the ones who are jealous of me. It kinda makes no sense at all. But then neither do they" she replied. What was she rambling on about? Lorelai really need to learn to be quiet sometimes. This wasn't like her.
Blink!
A snake? As long as it didn't come anywhere near her, it'd be fine. "I don't mind them" she replied. She preferred her owl much more.

After looking over the situation of the seats, Melania noticed that the fireplace had green fire?
"I'm surprised mum had never done this at home," she look at it curiously.
As she walked closer to the fireplace, she noticed a girl with a look of regret on her face.
She waved her hand. "Everything alright?"

Hehehe.
Destiny found what she had done even more amusing than the things Evelyn and Marie were doing to that girl. It didn't help that they were all looking around for the person who boo'ed. Although, she was pretty sure Evelyn knew it was she who did it.
Having finished off the chocolate frog in her mouth, Destiny had reached into her bag once more and pulled out another when she felt a nudge, almost making her drop the whole bag and the one in her hand.
The horror!
Frowning at the thought of almost losing all her chocolate, Destiny turned to the nudger.. only to have to look down at the girl. Merlin, the newbies were so tiny. "Oh, well, see. We are seventh years, so we get to claim our seats. So, that girl over there, the one sitting, stole the Head Girl's seat and we were just getting it back." Although.. Destiny wasn't a part of that 'we'. No, she was just a spectator.
"Here have a chocolate frog." she said, and holding out the bag for the girl to stick her hand in, Destiny watched as the seat thief walked off.
She didn't even feel like sitting on the sofas anymore..
