Amethyst blushed deeply as she shook his hand; she didn't know someone was watching her at all. Hearing him say that everyone was super nice, all nervousness went away. "Hello, Justin! My name is Amethyst Geleto. It's nice to meet you!" She giggled softly. "Coming in here I was very scared. I've never really been anywhere outside my 'home'."

Alyssa stepped through the doorway to the Common Room and was amazed at what she saw. The Hufflepuff common room was BEAUTIFUL. There was a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff smiling down at her and waving. The place felt just like home.

She spotted some of the friends that she had made in Diagon Alley, on the train and in the Feasting Table Room, but they all looked busy chatting up other people.

Alyssa walked in and never felt so alone. She knew that she shouldn't be because there were lots of people here, but everybody seemed to know everybody and those who didn't were being welcomed by those who were already students here at Hogwarts. "Sigh. I do hope that I'll make some friends here," Alyssa thought sadly to herself. She had known that it was going to be tough being a 2nd year transfer. Not one of the first years, and not someone who is already in the school. She hoped someone would notice her and say hi.

" Well, where's 'home' at for you ? " Justin asked . " I've been in London a couple of years now." he said with a broad smile.

She looked down softly then back up at him. "Home for me...?" She hesitated. "An orphanage in Aigburth, Liverpool.." She smiled softly nodding softly.

" Oh, well...." Justin searched for the right words, " I don't know who my real parents are. My mum adopyed me after she found me on her doorstep. They're probably strays that fled during the war. " Justin shrugged . Justin looked at her with a soft half smile and rubbed her shoulder. He thought she and him would be close friends. Hopefully.

Nessie spotted Alyssa. She waved back smiling at her friend. "Hey Alyssa" She went up to her friend and gave her a hug. She was really happy Alyssa had made it into Hufflepuff, the house of Awsomeness. "Welcome to the Hufflepuff" she said giggling a little. This was much better then last year. She looked around trying to remember last year.

It was so different to last year. Last year she went to bed early not wanting company and this year she was staying up for as long as she could trying to talk to almost every person she saw. she had changed dramatically.

"Nice to meet you, too." Daphne replied with a smile. Eeep! She was meeting so many people. She just hoped that she wouldn't forget their names.

"I'm from Beauxbatons. It's in France." Daphne said, wondering if Nessie had heard about her school before..not that it really matters but yeah, she was curious.

Nessie grinned. Hmmm Beauxbatons. Yes she had heard of it before. If she wasn't mistaken her mom went there for a few years of schooling before she ahd gone to Hogwarts. "Yeah alot of people have moved from there to here." she said sort of stating the obvious, but it was true. Most tranfers did come from Beauxbatons.

"So you happy to be in Hufflepuff?" she asked. It was a stupid question. Who wouldn't have been happy to be in Hufflepuff the house of the best people ever.

"Hi Nessie, thanks for the welcome. I was starting to feel a little lost but now that you're here, I'm feeling lots better," Alyssa told Nessie. Alyssa was definitely feeling lots better now that Nessie had come to welcome her. She was glad that there were people like Nessie who were always ready to step forward and help out the newbies like her.

Hearing his story, she smiled. Someone knew what it felt like not know their real parents. Only difference was that she still lived at the orphanage. She wasn't complaining, but she knew life there wasn't all that fun and joyous. "Well, I hope, if that is what you want as well, that you find your real parents! They are missing out on a nice boy.." She blushed softly smiling at him. Maybe they'd be best friends.

Aaron spotted another new face and walked over, always glad to meet new people.
'Hi,' Aaron stretched his hand out to the girl and offered her a kind smile. 'Another new face. My name is Aaron The Great, but you can also just call me Aaron.

"Hi there Amethyst I see that you've found your way here too. Isn't this place amazing? Hi there, my name is Alyssa, nice to meet you," she introduced herself to Amethyst's friend. "I'm new here too even though I'm in 2nd year. I transferred from Salem".

Alyssa turned when she heard a boy's voice behind her. "Hi Aaron. It's nice to meet you. My name's Alyssa and I'm a 2nd year transfer".

Justin blushed a bit and put his face down hoping Amethyst hadn't seen, " Well, I don't know about all that. If you were born in the States How did you end up in that orphanage in England ? " inquired Justin hoping he wasn't being too foward.

Anna walked into the common room and smells gingerbread in the air. Hmm must be for dessert tonight she thought as she tried walking past all of the people. The common room like a little woodlin crittures cottage and she thought she would see chipmunks run around the fireplace. She looked around and saw all of the portraits of past Hufflepuffs on the walls, she read about tons of them, and she was amazed that history was coming to life for her. She found an empty chair near the stairs and decided to open up a book for some light reading before her next class. She opened up her charms book and started reading. She was so glad to be at Hogwarts.

Ronnie wiped her own tears away with the back of her hand and looked up. Two years had just said something to her. What was it that they said, she couldn't even understand when people spoke directly to her. This year at Hogwarts was bound to be her worst year yet.

She sighed and looked up at both of them. "No, I'm not okay." She said and started sniffling back her tears. "I'm Ronnie." She added realizing that she shouldn't be rude even though she had snot running down her nose. She sighed and looked up at them both again, she didn't even have the energy to keep talking.

'Awesomesauce.' Aaron said, wondering what other schools would be like. 'What was your old school like?'

"It truely is!" She was happy that she at least got into the same house as Alyssa. She smiled when she introduced herself to Justin.

The States? As in the United States? She'd never been there before, but she'd heard good things about it. "As far as I'm told, I've always lived in Aigburth...you?"

Embarassed Justin quickly righted himself , " Oh dear, I've met so many people I've gotten confused a bit. Sorry. " Justin also introduced himself to her friend Alyssa. " Nice to meet ya. "

Adanna had come in a short while earlier, and was now settled comfortably on one of the armchairs. Toffee was curled around the back of her neck and purring loudly in her ear.
She sat quietly, her copy of Hilary Stargazer's Guide to the Galaxy nested in her small lap (even though she had read it practically over a million times since her sister, it's first owner, bought it three years ago), only looking up from it when she heard someone enter the room. If they were loud enough, of course.
As now. She closed the book, using her thumb as a bookmark, and turned to look over toward the entrance.
Nothing. Maybe she was just imagining things. Yeah. That's it.
She shrugged and turned back, inserting the paper bookmark (scribbled with her sister's neatly written "Remember This!" notes), closed the book, and looked over in the direction of her housemates.

Skip, skip, skippety skip.

She was back. Heels and all. Back for another year of craziness at Hogwarts! And that's why Kita was skipping along the corridor towards the common room. After whipping out her wand and tapping the correct barrel something she actually remembered for once, she clambered into the common room.

And stopped.

Since when was it this... packed? Were Hogwarts taking on more students this year? Or maybe she had missed something...?

The latter, definitely.

A huge smile spread across the brunette's face as she started walking further into the room. The room was as pretty as ever. Yes, fine, she had barely spent a lot of time in the common room but that was going to change this year. Yes.

Not wanting to disturb anyone, Kita made her way towards one of the comfy armchairs by the fireplace. It was her last year here, might as well start it off by relaxing right?

Amethyst smiled softly, nodding to him. "Oh, I know how you feel! But it's truly alright. We all make mistakes."

Jesifur felt the girl sit down next to her. She opened her eyes slightly, seeing the older girl sitting there she sat up a bit. Stretching her arms she yawned and quickly covered her mouth.
"Excuse me, but do you think you could tell me how to get to the dorm rooms? It's been a long day." She thought again, "I'm sorry, it seems my manners have gone to bed ahead of me. I'm Jesifur Hitchen, first year." Jesifur offered her hand to the girl.

"It was cool, just like this. The teachers were nice and laid back. I loved the grounds because it was the actual grounds of the original witch trials. Have you been there before?"

"Hi Justin, it's nice to meet you. Amethyst I didn't know that you were from the States too. Which part? I'm from California," Alyssa told both of them.

And... she was being talked to by... someone in the younger years. Yes. One of the younger years.

Kita smiled at the young girl. Firstie? So she was right about the girl being in one of the younger years. But Merlin, they had manners! "Nice to meet you Jesifur," she said, shaking the girl's hand, "I'm Kita, Kita Lewis, seventh year." Please, Merlin, don't let the girl be scared of her!

Now... about the dorm rooms. Kita looked around towards one of the underground tunnels. "You see that tunnel over there?" she asked, pointing at the tunnel on the left, "That's the girls ones. Just go along and find the door that says 'first years' and that'll be your dorm."

" Well, I was born in New York, But my mum and I moved to London a few years ago. " answered Justin.
