Fire and paper do not go well together. The library, therefore, features a reduced number of torches on the walls to minimize any danger to the books. A number of large stained glass windows, placed at regular intervals where the room is part of the outside wall of the castle, ensure that sufficient light gets in. Stretching all the way to the ceiling, these windows depict different famous witches and wizards, momentous historical occasions, and beautifully detailed magical creatures.
Relax on one of the cushioned window seats. Watch the floor and nearby shelves change subtly in color as the sunlight shines through the stained glass panels. Read a book under the calm gaze of Merlin or the fearsome scowl of a Manticore. Sometimes, it is difficult to stay focused here, but there are students who swear that, when sitting at the window of Rowena Ravenclaw, work gets completed faster.
All rules apply here, and although the glass can't be broken by simple spells or physical force, please be careful and respect the artwork on the windows. Remember to keep your voice down so as not to disturb those also visiting the library. | |

Oakey decided to skip breakfast at the Great Hall and went right to the library. He was going to come up here with Renesmee but she was upset and he made her angrier with his joke. So he would do his research on his own, His one problem was he didn't know where to start he had never been to this library before.
Where could he find the information he needed to be ride of this cursed bad luck curse, if it was even a curse at all. Many times Oakey hoped it was a curse because they can be reversed, at least he thought they could, can they. He sat himself under one of the many windows. and with the morning sun he just stared at the scar on his right hand.

Peyton sat on a cushion that a beautiful stain-glass window behind it. Stain-glass must take a loooong time to create. Rain softly fell on the glass as she stared out at the grounds. Rain wasn't snow... it was just plain water falling. She sighed softly and leaned her head against the wall. Snow was frozen drops of water. It was something she missed a lot at the moment, no matter how much she disliked home.
The girl realize she would have to return at some point. The later, the better. Freedom at Hogwarts was better than she could have imagined. Right now she found the library peaceful. Picking up the Herbology book beside her, the brunette softly flipped through the pages until she found an interesting looking picture. That's what she would start reading.

I do however have slight hayfever but that only flares up really badly in the summertime. I like owls too, I wanted one but my Mam wouldn't let me buy one."
