It had taken her nearly two months, but Mina found her way to one of her favourite places in the castle. The Library. The smell of the old books and parchment still entranced her and when she did want to get some alone time within the walls of the castle, this was the place she would usually run.

Seeing an open window seat, she claimed it for her own and settled in. She had a lot to read and needed to get started on a few assignments. The lounge had its appeal, but the stained glass windows called to her today. Besides the cushions were so much more comfortable and being able to look out on the grounds was a perk that she liked about her location choice.

Pulling her legs up, she rested her bad against them and opened the flap. She knew she had almost everything she needed in her bag, but it was only a matter of finding it. Digging around for a moment, she pulled one of her textbooks, a journal and her quill out.

Opening her journal and the textbook, she started to work in peace.

"They are rare but they do exsist. They are rare though almost as rare as an invisibility cloak." Connor smiled. He smiled but blushed a little. He hoped that Kurumi remembered that he was half veela. That made things a little different.... He knew her well enough to know that she had it in her to be a little too analytical at times. He could imagine where her overthinking mind might be. Either on his blood or other things.....

"Yeah. For a long time Mom and Teddy and that nice man were all I had. Then mum met Nath Corun and I thought I might have a normal family. Now that doesn't look like it's going to happen." He didn't elaborate, he didn't want her to think he was a whiny baby or something. He nodded at her statements and then he replied softly. "Whatever you choode to do with your life I know you will be brilliant. Never let anyone push you around or make that decision for you. Stand firm and be yourself."

They chatted for a while longer and then the chimes went off and Connor realized that it was late. He gathered his things and put his guitar and lyrics away in the case. His tummy rumbled a little. He smiled and reached over to Kurumi and lightly rubbed his knuckle against her smooth cheek before whispering. "Goodnight Kurumi."

Kurumi tapped her finger against her lip as she thought some more about Veela and then her brain moved on to invisibility cloaks. That was an entirely different cans of worms that Connor had just opened up for her to explore. Still, she had the feeling that Connor wasn't in the mood for her analytical skills to go haywire. She stopped suddenly...not knowing if she should even ask what she was thinking. She didn't know much about Connor's family other than they had met an untimely end. "Um...Connor...can I ask you something?" she asked twirling a few strands of black hair around her fingers. Before he had the chance to respond, she waved her hand as if swatting away a fly. "N-N-Never mind...it wasn't really appropriate..."

Kurumi ended up cocking her head to the side again when he mentioned a mother and she caught herself before she asked another question that was inappropriate. She frowned and furrowed her brow. "Then...you will just have to make your own family," she chirped naively. She found her face burning with his next comment and she decided not to comment. "T-Thank you," she managed to whisper as she looked up and out the window.

Kurumi had to admit that she had lost track of time as well and it was only Connor's touch that made her eyes focus.

"Oh my! Is it really already this hour?" she giggled gathering her books and trying not to focus on the soft touch of his on her cheek. Which was almost impossible to do. "Y-Y-You too," she stammered forcing herself to look away before she realized that that was not the proper response. "Um...I mean...good night to you too. Sweet dreams..."

Carter peered carefully into the library before entering. He wasn't sure why he was doing it. Marie and Caroline would never look for him in here. And he just needed a breather from both of them. He tried to keep in mind what Mina had told him about girl's feelings... but this was absolutely ridiculous. What he needed was just a private second with each of the girls so that he could work out what was going on.

Or... to just be done with girls completely. But that wasn't going to happen.

Spotting Mina he smiled. "Hey. Am I glad to see you." he said sitting down across from her. "Do I suddenly look like a lot more fun to torture?" he asked getting out one of his textbooks. Too bad he wasn't planning on studying at all. Or letting Mina study.

Maybelle skipped by the library, clinging onto a piece of paper that Luke had given her. It said to meet her at the window, the one in the library, obviously. She took a seat, waiting for her friend to come, wondering what hilarious conversations they would discuss.

Luke hadn't seen Maybelle in a while. Not since she had left the school. He was excited to see her again, but...he hadn't. That was why he had sent her a note, because he hadn't seen her in the hall. If he had seen her, he wouldn't need to meet her here, because they would have talked before. As it was, she was sitting in a chair when he got there. Luke grinned and walked over to her. "Hey May." He knew she hated it, but he always called her May.

Maybelle smiled when she saw Luke walk in. It had been a loooooooooooong time since they had seen each other, they were BEST friends in California, and would always be. She crinkled her nose at the nickname he had given her long ago, she really did hate it. "Hey Luke." She said, she never could come up with a stubborn nickname for him, Luke's too hard of a name to make a nickname.

Luke plopped himself down in a chair next to Maybelle. He grinned at her. See, she didn't even obkect to the nickname. That just showed how awesome he was. "How have you been?" He asked her, because he hadn't seen her in a while.

Maybelle nudged Luke playfully as he sat down next to her. "I. Have been, pretty epic, how have you been?" She asked. She had missed her best friend, and he obviously missed her. "I'm sorry I never wrote to you, it was pretty hard to get any time REALLY alone too write, forgive me?" She asked with a pleading look on her face.

Maybelle wanted to hug her best friend, but it would be really awkward if she had just all of a sudden HUGGED him...

Luke smiled at Maybelle. "Of course you've been epic." He said. "You're Maybelle." Maybelle was always epic, well at least she was always moving. Maybe insane was a better word than epic. "It's alright" Luke told her. "I didn't write either so I can't get mad at you." He smiled winningly.

Maybelle smiled at Luke. "Yes, this is very true." She said. "Well maybe you should've written me." She said, sticking her tongue out at Luke. She laughed, remembering the times they spent together at the school in California. She missed it there, always sunny, and wonderful. But, she was here now, and happy. "So, Luke," Maybelle started. "It seems like you like Isobel, is this true?" She winked at him.

"Hey, you didn't write me either, so you shouldn't talk." He grinned and poked her belly playfully. He shrugged at her question. "She's cool. But, then again, so are you."

Maybelle rolled her eyes. "So..? You were supposed to write first." She said, and giggled when Luke had poked her tummy..hehe. tummy. "Well, yes, I already know that I am cool, everyone knows this." She said, laughing. "So, you're not denying that you like her.." She said <--- doing that..

"Okay, I'll make my question simpler, do you like anyone? And not just 'like' I mean like." She said, putting emphasis on her second 'like'.

YES! Her fave window area thingy was without KIDS and such. WOOHOO! Fabulous! Lexi plopped down in a seat and pulled the advanced potions book out of her bag and flipped to the page she had marked. Mhm. She was studying Potiony stuff. THAT'S RIGHT!

Ah HA! "I FOUND YOU!" Completely forgetting that Rae was in a library and people weren't supposed to be loud in libraries, she skipped her self over to Lexi and stuck her left hand out with something sparkly on it. "YOU WERE RIGHT!"

Indeed Lexi was right, Fletcher had proposed and he left the planning all to Rae and whoever she chose to help.

"BLIMEY, RAE! Give me heart failure will you!" Lexi said as she nearly tossed her book across the bloody room. Geez!

...

Seeing something SHINY she abandoned her chair and bounced over to Rae and squealed. "I KNEW IT! I TOLD YOU! HE SO LOVES YOU SO MUCH!" SHE totes knew it! "Oh Rae! It's so beautiful! Come, come! Sit down and tell me every little detail! Leave nothing out," she DEMANDED!

Agh, sorry... "I was looking for you everywhere though!"

Hearing Lexi confirm what Rae knew just put an even bigger smile on her face, then she followed Lexi as ordered and sat with her on the opposite chair. "I- Well... Over the break it was nothing special, just Josh, Ev, and Fletch and I at home. But since Fletcher isn't at school anymore he set up a nice christmas tree and such.. He asked me at the train station before I boarded. And when I said yes he told me that he's leaving the planning all in my hands and whoever I choose to help... So.... Will you be a bridesmaid?" Nervous bite of the lip..

Lexi giggled a little bit and nodded her head as Rae spoke. She didn't even grimace when she mentioned Evelyn and Josh. Engagement ring trumps the losers. Totes.

Lexi wibbled her bottom lip a little bit and nodded her head before tackle!hugging Rae. "I would be honored to be a bridesmaid, Rae! I will help you with anything you need help with. OH! Can I come with you to look at dresses? I love dresses!" Rae knew that she loved dressing up. Hehehe.

"You have GOT to tell Salander... and let me be there so I can see his face. If you mention the M word near him he goes all pale and sweaty and stuff."

"Why?" He said. "I thought the saying was, ladies first." So, technically, she should have written first. He grinned at Maybelle and rolled his eyes. Her eyebrows were having spasms.

"Do you like anyone?" He countered her qestion with a question. "And I don't think there's any difference between like and like. There's just an emphasis on one."

Nika decided to go visit the library again. Not for books, but for the window. She liked the stained glass window, more than the books. Besides last time she was here she had to do her DADA homework so why not come here again to get some more of it done. She found a nice place to sit in front of it and was getting ready to take out her assignment sheet when she spotted an unfamiliar face. "Hiya!" The cheerful gryffindor said beaming at the girl. She hadn't seen this girl around before so maybe that means she's a first year? Wouldn't be surprised, Hogwarts swimming in them this year.

"Yes, thank you so much! I'm gonna need your hep more than anything! I don't know much about weddings so your help will be greatly appreciated." Rae looked back at her ring and sighed, "Of course you can be there to try on dresses, what do I know besides colors?"

Oh! Lexi would make Rae's wedding the most amazing wedding of LIFE! She REALLY would. She had stars in her eyes at the mere thought of wedding planning.

Shaking herself from her momentary daydream she smiled and nodded her head vigorously. "I meant your dress. I want to help you pick your dress. I think you would look best in a strapless dress. Oh this is going to be so much fun! I can't wait!"

Cue the bouncy hand clappy thing.

Hearing her name, Mina looked up from her studying in the direction of the voice. She knew that voice and smiled, if it would have been anyone else interrupting her studying time, she would have been a bit upset. She'd allow her bestie to interrupt though. It was in the bestie code after all. Thee shall allow thee best friend allowance to interrupt thee studying on grounds of friendship, or something like that.

Setting her journal and quill to the side, she tilted her head as she listened to his question and shook it. "I don't think so. Like the haircut, by the way." she replied as she made room for him to join her on the window seat. "Personally, I think you look like you normally do when it comes to torturing you." she teased slightly. When it came to giving him a hard time about things, it didn't matter how he looked to her. "So, do I need to even guess who is torturing you now? I mean I probably already know, but do you wnat to the just indulge you and guess anyway?" It wasn't hard to figure out who it was. She had ears and even if she didn't act like she paid attention to the gossip and whispers around the castle, she had a clue what was happening around her.

Carter smiled as he took the now open seat next to Mina. "Thanks." he said running a hand through it. He was still getting used to it being so short. "I wasn't interrupting anything important was I?" he asked picking up her quill absentmindedly. He then set it back down.

"Gee. Thanks." he said with a smirk. "I don't mind it so much from you though." he said giving her a little playful nudge in the arm. Eek. So she had heard something. He chuckled nervously. "So how bad are the rumors?" he asked. The one downside of being at Hogwarts was that since the school was so small and enclosed that rumors seemed like the only source of entertainment.

Rae's eyes went into confusion as Lexi shook her head.. What? "Oh... My dress? I- uh... Yeah sure I guess so." Her face was clueless.. Absolutely dumbfounded... "So... I know that I'm the bride, Fletcher is the groom... There are bridesmaids and groomsmen... I need to pick dresses and flowers. Other than that... I have NO IDEA what goes into a wedding so... What next?"
