Arabella-Marie smiled at Tayla and said "Yeah Arithmancy does have to do with numbers not one of my strong subjects but i thought i would learn about the subject anyway" Arabella-Marie turned to Zara and said "Nope i haven't Zara but i do want to have a cookie i need something sweet to eat"

"Yeah, second years," he said. "The first years seem a lot like little kids now."

"No, I think we just seem a lot older," she said thoughtful, looking around at a few firsties in the room. She almost missed being a first year; it'd been one of the happiest she'd ever been. And she was a pretty happy person. "So how was the rest of your summer you-know-where?" She asked brightly. She didn't dare say 'orphanage,' for she knew Septimus (Luca) wouldn't want anyone else to know about his summer time living arrangements. Elyon sincerely hoped he wouldn't have to go back to his real family, though. Anything was better than that.

"I'm not good with numbers either," Tayla replied. "I went to Muggle school before Hogwarts. It took me double the work to get good grades in Mathematics than it did other subjects." Then realizing Arabella may not have gone to Muggle school, and unsure whether pureblood wizards knew what Maths meant, she added, "Erm...this may sound silly but...do wizards know what Math is? As a subject I mean."

"Wha...? Erm..." Tayla gulped nervously, stole a quick glance at the boy on the couch, looked away again and grabbed a Gryffindor cookie. "These cookies are really good aren't they?!" Tayla tried to keep from blushing, but her cheeks burned. She looked down and pretended to focus on some interesting thing on her cookie. "Zara couldn't have caught her staring at that boy...could she?" Tayla wondered desperately.

Arabella-Marie nodded at Tayla and said "Yeah i think they do cause i mean Arithmancy has been taught at Hogwarts for years"

"Go ahead, help yourself to a cookie. They're really delicious, and Kurumi's giving them out for free. She baked it herself." she said, smiling, and continued munching on her cookie.

Zara raised an eyebrow. "Of course, they're good. They're the best!" Zara exclaimed. She obviously noticed that Tayla was blushing. "You sure you don't have something to tell meee~?

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Cool Zara i will take one soon, so what do you think about Hogwarts so far"

"Hogwarts is great! In fact, I think I'll be on a little tour later." Zara grinned, she was excited to explore the rest of the school.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Well i could give you a tour about the castle if you want Zara"

Tayla thought about it for a second and decided it would be okay to tell Zara. It was just a little crush after all, right?

Tayla cleared her throat and moved closer to Zara. "Fine," she whispered. "See that boy sleeping over there? With the long dark hair? Well...I have a thing for boys with long dark hair..." Tayla blushed. She couldn't believe she was acting this way! Blushing! For a boy! An older boy who didn't even know her. "I kinda have a crush on him...Keep it secret okay?" Tayla said finally, softer than ever. She bit her lip, leaned back on the couch, and taking a large bite of her cookie, forced herself not to look at the boy.

"Thanks for the offer. That'll be great!" Zara said, delighted with having someone to be with as she had a tour of her new school. "We should invite others too, so it'll be very fun."

"Oohh." Zara said, as the thought slowly sinked in. "I get it," she whispered and winked. And when her mind finally completely understood the message, she shouted. "Holy cow, are you serious?!" And she suddenly jumped as she said this. Realizing what she had done, Zara slowly sank back on her seat. "Oops, sorry."

"Oddsbodikins!" said Chris as he walked through the portrait hole to the common room. He went up to the notice board to see if anything was important then walked away to the study tables and started to read a book that he got out of his bag. He then got out his wand and got his quill and said," Wingardium Leviosa." Was that right he thought? and said it again and his quill started to levitate. He just started to practice other spell he found in his books.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Sure that would be good Zara i don't mind giving other people a tour"

"That's really nice of you. So who else should we invite?" Zara asked.

Arabella-Marie thought and said "Well it can be whoever you want it to be Zara it is up to you"

Zara blinked twice. "Me?" she said and thought about it, "Well, okay. But I have to talk to them first. Maybe we could reschedule our tour until everyone's ready to come. I think some are asleep right now." She smiled and said, "For now, you wanna go somewhere else?"

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Sure that sounds a better idea and sure that would be good Zara"

Ariadne didn't like being interrupted, but this once she didn't mind that much, as she was eager to befriend her fellow Gryffindors. And the boy was a first year too.

'Hi, no problem, Jordan. Pleased to meet you, I'm Ariadne.' the girl replied. 'Have you tried any of these cookies made by Kurumi?' she gestured towards the box on the table. 'Delicious.' she smiled.

'So how do you like Hogwarts so far? Looking forward to start classes?' Ariadne asked conversationally.

'That's a fabulous idea! We could use the Room of Requirement.' Ariadne suggested, wanting to demonstrate she knew a lot about Hogwarts already. 'I'm sure many people would be interested.' she said as she was taking another cookie. 'This is the last I'm going to take, I swear.' Ari chuckled.

'Wow, that sounds cool! Where can you get such a sword? Did you bring it from home?' Ariadne asked, with curiosity. She was interested in other cultures and customs very much.

'Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. The Daily Prophet suggested it's safe, so why can't we?' she wondered. 'You know, I'm happy to know people with a spirit for adventure.' Ariadne smiled.

'Good luck! My mum was on her House team too, but I don't think I inherited her talent.' Ari replied, not too bothered by that. 'So you come from a family of Gryffindors? My family has been in Ravenclaw since...forever.' she confessed. 'Yeah, I'm sure the dream means you'll get on the team.' Ari grinned.

'I read Bagshot's book too! And I've bought a book at Flourish and Blott's this summer about the former Headmasters of Hogwarts, it's really good. I'd enjoy going to the library anytime.' Ari nodded.



'So I take it Muggle Studies is your favourite subject then? What's it like?' Ariadne asked Nika. She couldn't help but laugh when the girl said magic wasn't her forte. 'But...you're a witch. Witches are good at magic as far as I know.' Ari spoke through giggles.

'Yes, I'm sure you had a good time. How long did you stay? Did you learn any French? I remember a few words since I was there.' the tiny first year wanted to know.

Ariadne wasn't going to ask what the girls fought about, it was way too personal. 'Wow, I find it really interesting when one sibling is a Muggle and the other is not. Doesn't she envy you? What about your parents? Are they Muggles too?' her curiosity got the better of her again.

Ariadne observed Tayla's message and made a mental note to go meet the others in front of Lachlan the Lanky. What a funny name. If only she could find the statue.

Ari noticed a much older Gryffindor boy walking in. His relaxed attitude made her smile, it reminded her of her uncle Tristan, who was much younger than her parents, and more like an older brother than an uncle.

The firstie hoped the boy wouldn't mind if she talked to him, she enjoyed talking to adults. 'Hi, are you a seventh year?' she asked, approaching the couch. Without waiting for an answer, she added:' You must know lots about Hogwarts. So what information do you have about the ship on the grounds?' the child waited for a response this time.

"Well, it wasn't the best summer ever but it wasn't the worst," he told her. "The other kids there are nice, but a bit gloomy."

Chris looked into the worried blue eyes of the older Gryffndor and watched as he slowly realized what had happened to his puppy. She felt the small dog shrink back in her lap as he realized his master's scolding, flopping instantly into stillness.
"This little sweetheart? Of course not," she said, stroking the pup's head. "He was just hiding, that's all. There are so many people in here he probably didn't know what to do with himself." Yep, that was Chris. Puppy defender. She stared at the adorably hunk of fur in her lap, smiling. "Even running away, he's better trained than my dogs. They don't listen to anything unless it has to do with food."

"Absolutely, it looks like DADA will be my most liked subject. Looking forward to that. How about you?"

" Hi my name is William Starr" he introduced himself to her. " How are you doing?" William asked her. " Are you ready for classes?" William asked her,

" I know you are talking to someone else, but I would like to tell you my name, too" William told the girl. " I like meeting new people" Willaim said to her. " My name is William Montcenaggio aka Starr" he introduced himself to her. " I am a first year here" William explained to her.

" How are you doing?" William asked Rosemary. "Where you checking out the grounds?" William asked her. ' I have not been to the treehouse, but I will get there" Willaim told Rosemary.

" Well, so clases ever start on the week-end?" William asked Sep. " Yea, a first year" William told Sep. " My parents and their friends gradiuated from HogWarts years ago and they probably would not believe all the changes here" William explained to Sep.

Rosemary looked at William with a smile. "No I only just woke up........ I haven't seen a lot of Hogwarts yet..."

Simon couldn't help but look over as Selina rushed down the stairs and plopped down beside Kurumi. "Hi Selina," he greeted simply with a polite smile as he quieted to let his fellow Gryffindors talk about a work he had to admit he ahd never read himself.

"Alright," Simon said not about to push her to try-out for it was first and foremost her decision. "If you ever want assistance on a broom at least I can help you there. Maybe you, Selina and I can go flying one day," he offered, adding the other girl to perhaps make things for comfortable.

Simon spotted Josh as he crossed his line of vision, for once his best friend not making a big spectacle with his entrance so he watched to make sure he was alright. As the older Gryffindor settled into his couch, the captain relaxed as it seemed Josh was just being quiet, the troublemaker's usual smirk now fuly visible upon his face.


"Nice of you to make an appearance," he mused in half jest at his friend.

Nika laughed at his answer. Eat. Haha. "Well I like to sing and play football!" Nika made a little motion with her foot as if she was kicking an imaginary ball. "It's my favorite sport! And the only one I can really play..."


"Yeah I hope he does. He really does deserve it." Nika added a smile as well. "So Willie how about you? Having any success in the love department?" She added with a giggle.
"Well I wouldn't say Muggle Studies is my favourite subject, but it is one of my best subjects. Divination is my favorite!" Nika said proudly. "Well not me, at least not yet. But maybe with practice I'll get better!" Nika smiled hopefully. "I'm really trying though and some of my friends offered to tutor me. So I'm sure I'll be better in no time at all!"

Nika nodded her head. "Well I stayed for a few weeks and sadly I didn't really learn any french. It would have been cool to learn though." Nika said happily.

"Yeah my parents are muggles too. They all are. I'm the only witch." Nika let out a sigh. "I'm a muggle born or at least I think that's what you call it?" Yeah muggle born sounds right. "Well see that's the thing. I think she just might envy me."
