Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

"You wanna know about...me?" he said, blinking. It was a question he'd expected to hear at the beginning of a conversation, when you'd just met someone. Like in the Great Hall at all the first years first feast. All that exchanging of names and bloodlines. But no one had asked him yet. He hadn't thought it weird, in fact, he'd quite enjoyed not having to spill his most riveting life story. He fidgeted, thinking. "Well, I live on a farm with my mum - who's a witch - and my Pa - who's a muggle - and my little sister: Karen. I've also got two older brothers: Harry and Kieran - twins - but they travel lots so I don't see them very often...Which is pretty lucky." he said, staring after Leo who had just whacked Ella over the head with the letters, and amused expression on his face. "Wish I'd thought of that." he said, smirking at her. He shrugged. "That's pretty much it...Pretty interesting, dontcha think?" he said, grinning, blushing slightly at his lack of..well, interestingness. It wasn't his fault. He was just a normal kid. A kid who could do magic... Ok. He was just a normal wizard who was also a part-time farmer. Just chillin' with his sheep. Nothing wrong with that.

Simon walked into the common room still thankful to be back even if it wasn't the first night for the energy was still there. Looking around he spotted several new faces and a few familiar friends, the boy smiling as he counted Lexi and Kurumi among them with Walnut and Rufus each in their familiar's shadow.
"Ooooo is it time for the famous Lexi's Smore's Night?" he asked almost rhetorically as he spotted the marshmellows and such as he got closer. The sevneth year staking out a nearby chair and sitting down near the fire and the group.

And then he felt his heart sink into his stomach. Maybe even to his knees. So Nathan did like her. And he was older, probably much more handsome. The way Vi seemed to swoon over his letter, it just cut him deep. Maybe even deeper than all of his mum's wounds and scars he'd gotten over the psat three years, but that wasn't the point. He always knew somthing would happen. But this was the confirmation of it. "Like she does over me?" Violet's power over him was really strong. But that could just be the Veela. Or her sweet nature. Either way, he was screwed in deep trouble.

Leaving his dormitory, he decided to just relax in the common room, as he was sure that was what everybody else was doing. Hoping to find some friends off the train, and also meet some new Gryffindors possibly. But mainly he just wanted to relax. Looking for where to sit, he saw a couch that looked pretty comfy, and walked over to the couch to find no one sitting there and sat in it. Waiting for someone familiar or even, someone he hasn't met, to come over where he was sitting. He thought to himself, "Dang. This couch is really comfortable. Feels more comfortable than my bed at home. And that takes alot." Muttered Jordan.
After a little bit, he started to get bored, so he decided to look around to talk to some friendly Gryffindors. He saw a few girls, what looked like first years and decided to introduce himself. "Hello, I don't mean to interrupt your conversation, but I was feeling a little lonely, since alot of my buddies are asleep. My name is Jordan. First Year. Nice to meet you."

Selina wanted to cry when she saw Chris' face. The whole idea of Nathan had really upset him. How could she make him understand that Nathan meant nothing to Violet. That the only reason why she was excited to hear from him was because Violet was a good person. Her sweet nature was similar to Elyie's. Both of the girls liked people in general, they were too niave to see how others felt about them.
"Chris, she likes you. She has since the moment she met you. Nathan means nothing to her. Shes just too nice to tell him to buzz off. You have to understand that. You ate the reason she gets up in the morning. No one has ever liked Violet for her personality before. It was always her looks. She adores you because you like the girl under the Veela charm."

" I thought about holding informal baking classes last term, but I...um....got a bit busy with some other things." Kurumi giggled as Ariadne continued to much away at the cookies. " Well, it is no problem if you keep eating them, but it would be a shame if a fellow lion did not get any of them."
" Am I?" Kurumi blushed. She was rather glad to know that perhaps she wouldn't be the only bookworm in Gryffindor this term. " Kendo is a form of Japanese sword fighting, but we use a sword made out of bamboo."
