After a visit with Max, he decided to relax in the common room. His belongings were all sorted out and ready to go. All he needed to do is wait for classes, so he decided to relax until it started. Once he walked in the door, he saw a first year he recognized. "Hi, my name's Jordan. First Year, nice to meet you."

Tayla jumped as someone approached her. She took her eyes away from the boy with the long dark hair and smiled kindly at Jordan. "Hi Jordan. My name's Tayla. Tayla Barnhill. I'm a first year, too." Tayla made a motion inviting him to sit on the couch next to her. "Excited for classes?"

Rosemary jogged down the stairs, carefully using her wand to help her tie her long hair into a plait using her magic. Selina trotted beside her.

Replying to Tayla with a slight smirk on his face, "Oh, absolutely. I'm looking forward to DADA and maybe even Charms. How about you? What classes are you looking forward to?"

"Everyone," Kurumi giggled. Well, it was true. She thought that everyone she had met at Hogwarts was unique in their own right. "I-I've never had any friends before, not until I came here, so everyone is simply amazing." She paused for a moment to scratch her head. Now, who among her friends were the most unique? Well, that was perhaps one of the easiest questions ever. "I must say that perhaps my most unique friend, in terms of personality, would be my friend Eino. His a third year in Ravenclaw."

Her attention then went back to Walnut who continued to purr on her lap. Kurumi too had thought that she wanted an owl, but now she was very happy that her mother had insisted that she take a cat with her to school. She simply couldn't imagine Hogwarts without Walnut and didn't want to. "Walnut has helped me get through some pretty dark times, and he still does," she said with a gentle smile as she stroked his fluffy fur. "In his own strange way, he taught me the meaning of magic."
Kurumi's eye brightened when she saw Josh enter the room and, as was expected, jumped onto his couch that she had made sure to sit across from. Most people would see his smile as cocky, but to her, it was charming and she would never forget the smile on his face when he had given her a piece of chocolate in Diagon Alley upon their first meeting.

"H-H-Hello Josh!" she chirped wanting to wave her hand but waving her book instead.
Well...now Kurumi felt like a complete and utter grindylow who had been kept out of the water for far too long. Cheeks turning bright pink and the tips of her hair turning a dusty orange from embarrassment, Kurumi popped an unroasted marshmallow in her mouth and chewed.

"...oh..."

That made much more sense than having jewels inserted into one's body.

"I wonder why he's smirking... Tayla thought to herself, hoping Jordan didn't notice who she was staring at.

Hearing the subjects he mentioned, Tayla became more attentive. "Did you say DADA and Charms? Those are the classes I look forward to as well! Flying, too, of course. Have you started reading our books?"

Selina laughed at Kurumi's response and hugged her while laughing, "Oh Merlin Kurumi, my sides hurt." Once she calmed down she wiped her eye and said, "Sorry but you are just too adorable Kurumi. I think I should make a book full of all of your sayings."

Eino. Eino. "Oh, would you please please introduce me to him?" Zara begged as she showed Kurumi a puppy face.

As Kurumi told her about Walnut, Zara felt the love between the owner and pet. Though right now she didn't know how that must feel since she has met Eirwen for only days, Zara hoped that one day she would develop the same strong bond between her and Eirwen. "You must really love him." Zara smiled, "I can feel it. The way you talk about him. I hope one day me and Eirwen would have the same bond of friendship." Zara grinned.

Septimus raised an eyebrow. "No, I guess there isn't...Um, are you feeling okay? You seem a bit glum."

"Yeah, you know your cookies are really good. I mean, really good. I don't know how you do that. Is it a big thing in Japan?"

"Yeah, they do start really fast," Sep agreed. "So, are you a first year?" Well, obviously or he would know when classes start. But he asked the boy for the sake of formality.

Arabella-Marie skipped into the common room after gaining entry and was happy to be back home at Hogwarts she hoped to speak to some of her fellow housemates soon

"Oh definitely, I love flying. Also, I started reading Quidditch Through The Ages, and Hogwarts, A History." Replied Jordan trying to think how much he read of the two, as those were the two books that really interested him.

"Hi there!" Zara greeted the girl who had just entered the common room. "My name's Danielle Zara Griffiths. But you can call me Zara." she said and smiled.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Hey Zara you can call me Arabella" Arabella-Marie was glad that she had somebody to chat to just now

After finishing her plait, Rosemary then sat down by the fire and picked up her Transfiguration book to get ahead of the game a bit. Selina walking around, yowling for attention from all these people.

Zara grinned, she had found another friend. "Nice to meet you Arabella." Zara looked at the crackling fire from the fireplace. "How long have you been here at Hogwarts?" Zara turned back her attention to the girl. She looked like a nice girl, modest even. All in all, Zara was very happy to meet her.

"Hi there," greeted Tayla pleasantly as a girl skipped into the common room. "My name is Tayla Barnhill. What's yours?"

"That's great! Have you signed up for Quidditch try-outs?" Tayla asked. "I've read those books, too," she continued. "Half-way through Quidditch Through the Ages, and a chapter or two of all our other books."

Arabella-Marie smiled at Zara and said "I am just into my third year at Hogwarts Zara" Arabella-Marie turned to Tayla and said "Hi Tayla i am Arabella-Marie Kingston but you can call me Arabella for short"

"You have a beautiful name!" Tayla said sincerely. "So what's your favourite thing about Hogwarts so far? Oh! And you're a third year. So you're taking extra classes now right? What did you choose to take?"

Arabella-Marie smiled at Tayla and said "Thanks, my favourite thing about Hogwarts is just the castle itself and well i love to explore it and yeah i am taking extra classes mainly Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Divination and Care of Magical Creatures"

"Ohh. So, Arabella, having a good day?" she smiled, not knowing what to ask.

"Taylaaalalalalala~" Zara sang. Then giggled.

"I have actually. Hoping to do good on the tryouts. Did you sign up?" Asked Jordan and replying to her Question.

Elyon skipped through the portrait whole, the look of utmost delight on her face. Being back at Hogwarts was the best feeling she'd ever had! She twirled over to the fire place and sat on a chair a few seats away from it. It was good to home, especially now the she was a second year! Wow, it seemed like just yesterday she'd been sorted into the lovely house of Gryffindor, the biggest surprise of her life.

She looked around, wondering who she'd see in the land of the lions. She saw some fifth years, a few first years, and a couple of students she'd seen before, but had never spoken to. She made a mental note to get on that. She was about to turn back to the fire when she saw him. Her best friend was just a few seats away! She hadn't seen him since Diagon Alley, which felt like years ago. She hopped over and sat down next to him, her eyes lit up with glee. "Septimus! We're second years!" Even saying it felt nice. Heh, she felt so old, being twelve and all. It was strange, being at a happy place where she could learn, and even have a few good friends!

Arabella-Marie smiled at Zara and said "Yeah i am having a good day"

"Yes I did," Tayla replied. "I'm very excited! I want to train as a chaser. You?"


"Good luck with those," Tayla said. "Arithmancy's something to do with numbers right?"

"Erm...yes?" Tayla replied, wondering what Zara was giggling about. She hoped Zara hadn't caught her...well...staring at someone in particular...

"Have you tasted those cookies already?" Zara said, pointing to the box of Gryffindor cookies on the table with a note left by Kurumi (she's the one who made the cookies). "Kurumi made them. They're really yummy~" Zara explained as she reached for one of the Gryffindor cookies made by Kurumi and began munching on them. Nomnomnom.

"Oh nothiing~" she said again in a singing voice as Zara smiled a smug smile. "Anything you wanna tell meee?~"
