Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

She couldn't finish her sentence and instead watched Ella leave and slowly sank back down on the chair, eyes closed.
Moments later she heard a voice that said, "Sleepyhead." 'Now, who was that?' She wondered, eyes still closed. She wasn't sleepy. Most definitely not. Well, if the message was for her, that is. But she could've sworn it was Matt's voice she heard. Zara opened her right eye to check. 'The guy's smiling. Fantastic.' She thought sarcastically. Opening both eyes, she sat straight again and looked Matt in the eye without a word.

Alice came into the portrait and plopped down in one of the open seats. After last year's fill of drama she was looking forward to a normal, laid back year. Luckily the mishap that changed her appearance quite drastically had been reversed so she looked like her normal self again. She looked around the room, seeing a lot of new faces while recognizing some familiar ones. It was definitely nice to be back.

Spending the holiday with two of his favourite people? Well, that sounded like a rather amazing holiday, he must say. It creeped him out a little, thinking about it. That two of his closest friends, they made him smile the most, and yet they also terrified him beyond all belief. He chuckled. He was such a spack. "Five star treatment? Ooo, very poshe." he said, feigning a whole lot of gentleman-ness.
The first year shrugged. "My family..aren't the closest." he said, pulling at his scarf. "And Christmas is a bit of a hectic month for us, all those people ordering turkeys and stuff. ..Don't help that I'm an accident waiting to happen, either. I think they'll be glad to be rid of me." he explained with a small smile. He rubbed his nose, laughing at her confused expression. Quote:

Then she laughed. Oooooooh, Zara. He scowled at her, for no more than a second, before joining in with her laughter. "Don't you ever, ever do that again." he said, punching her lightly on the shoulder. He didn't think he'd ever been more scared in his life. | |

Tayla paused a while, wondering if it was rude to ask. Deciding it probably wasn't, she continued. "Did you always know you were adopted?"
"Uh, yeah one girl stopped coming and we thought she was like skipping or something, but then her parents said she disappeared. Most of us didn't believe it, but then some other students started going missing....one of them was a close friend of mine." Cove said. "No one's been found yet. Not alive atleast. So, they shut my school and recomended everyone for a new school. My friend and I were the only ones to get Hogwarts."
"Yeah, I did. My mom was...well she was a very depressed person, so child services took me away when I was two. I was adopted a few months later by James and Della. I'm the last one to be adopted out of ten."

'Leo threw it, meaning it to go to Marley but somehow I got in the way and it broke my nose.' Ella grinned. 'Mam fixed it in a heart beat so it was all good. Oh.. and then Hank and Julian knocked the turkey off the table..' Ella shrugged.
'We have nearly all the family round, so it can't go without an accident really...' Ella rubbed her nose. ' Oh and I fell out a tree too.. that wasn't on Christmas Day though..' ella was on a roll now.. 'Hank got bronked off Prince.. he bit Leo and Marley got locked in the stable with him.' Ella covered her mouth. 'But he'll be totally ok with you and Zara! He just doesn't like all them..'
Ella hoped all this didn't intimidate Matt much.. he wasn't the bravest of people.
