The house elves are hard at work preparing your next meal but, they're always willing to prepare an after-hours snack to those students who are brave enough to tickle the pear and enter the kitchens. Ovens and refrigerators like the back wall, while pots, potion burners, utensils and pans are scattered over counters. |

She looked over her shoulder with a wink. "It's something that would be easier done alone, so I can handle it."
Placing a saucepan on the stove, Kurumi set to melting some butter. The moment that is began to brown, she removed it from the stove and stirred in powdered sugar, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of milk. Just a little more and it should turn into icing. 11 minutes? Alex nodded calmly, he could manage waiting eleven minutes. Otherwise he would just go tackle the oven or something. You never knew with Alex Reed.
He nodded again and hopped up to sit on a table to watch Kurumi do the Brown Butter Icy thingy, or whatever she called it. He tilted his head slightly, trying to think of anything but the tasty cookie smell from the oven. "Why did you start to bake cookies?" he asked curiously. Yeah because personal space or knowing when he stepped onto private matters weren't his strenghts. Quote:

Alex shook his head. "I'm not a nickname stealer, i'm the Nickname Master." he reminded her with a wink.
Gruuumble!
His stomach. Alex looked down at it worriedly, what's wrong whittle stomach? then he looked around him and saw a pear that hadn't been chopped for the cookies. With a satisfactory grin he started eating it. Wasn't as good as cookies but at least it was something to ease his hunger those eleven minutes.
Did he have any craving? Yes, yes he did indeed. He smirked playfully at his best friend. "I crave those." he said and pointed towards the oven where the yummie cookies were being baked. "And then I crave a win for the Slytherin team, then I crave some more of those." he pointed towards the cookies again. Right now, they were all he could really think of. "There is... There is white chocolate around here?" he stuttered looking around him with a ninja expression.
Man, how he loved the kitchen.

Yummmmyyyyy. Alex looked down at his stomach and then back up at his friend. "Yeah I am." he sighed sadly. "You have no idea how hard it is being hungry twentyfour-seven." he rubbed his stomach absently and looked for something else too feed his poor stomach with. What's the matter little tummy, are you hungry little tummy, we shall eat little tummy, little tummy cheering 'yay!'
He nibbled on the last part of the pear when his eyes darted back to Fee. "It's..." he thought for a minute longer while he continued to nibble on the pear. "It's not as good as I would have liked it to be." he chuckled. But it would have to do. "Pft, no I won't eat them all." he rolled his eyes. "I'll let you get one. Maybe... Perhaps if you're nice." he smirked. Be nice.
Alex jumped off the counter he had been sitting on and did a little turn. "Are there... Are there any hot white chocolate down here? At this very moment?" he whispered. He would so go on a treasure hunt to find some. Quote:

Alex nodded listening to her story before the story suddenly got serious and he raised his eyebrows surprised at what Kurumi was telling him. His brow furrowed as he watched her turn her back to him to tend to the cookies. "Get a rock thrown at you?" he repeated foolishly. He just didn't get it. Kurumi had to be the nicest most kind-hearted person Hogwarts had ever seen, and there she was telling him she was lucky not to have a rock thrown at her? It didn't make any sense at all.
He shook his head slightly. "Why in Merlin's burning socks would they do that?" he had to ask still shocked to say the least. If this was some twisted joke, he didn't find it funny.

| For Dee & Seńor Stonem Lady Lem|DJ Melfoy|Braedeus ♥ Stumble|Bebé Melón|B2|Andee & Melsse|Melephone
Amadeus Kipling strode into the kitchens, keeping a hand back to hold the oversized portrait of fruit that served as a door open for his friend, Braeden Stonem. They had just come inside after a particularly interesting time ice skating at the lake and Amadeus was still shaking a few flakes of ice and snow from his hair. After making sure that the Gryffindor had made it inside without tripping over the threshold, he released his hold on the door and looked about. There were a few students sprinkled here and there. He grimaced; it could have been worse, Amadeus supposed. Stripping off his leather gloves and stuffing them into the back pocket of his trousers, he promptly clapped his hands together.
Before you could say "food," three house elves had scurried up to the duo, bowing reverently before one of them piped up and asked what they could do for the kind sirs. "A table for two in the back. The dinnertime special." Nodding curtly, the Ravenclaw indicated that his request was complete. Two of the three creatures ran off into the hustle and bustle of cooking in the center of the kitchens while one remained, asking if the handsome sirs would be so kind to follow him to the back of the kitchens. Amadeus wordlessly gestured for Brae to follow him as they accompanied the elf to the back. They came upon quite a sight.
In a rounded corner of the kitchens was a small, circular table made of what seemed to be old oak. There were two seats on either side of it and in the center sat a single candle, already burning and flickering in the dim light. On the wall there appeared to be a window that looked out over the lake as the moonlight glimmered on it's waters. "Don't mind that," Amadeus muttered to Braeden as he took his seat, the house elf making sure that everything was in its place. "Simply one of those magical windows, like they have at the Ministry." After taking a quick glance at their surroundings, Amadeus gave a final nod to the elf, who scurried off in his rags toward the center of the kitchens.
Grabbing the clean linen napkin in front of him, Amadeus unfolded it and placed it on his lap. "What do you think?" He looked up at Brae over the single lit candle.

Grabbing the clean linen napkin in front of him, Amadeus unfolded it and placed it on his lap. "What do you think?" He looked up at Brae over the single lit candle. Braeden thanked his older friend as he walked into the kitchen through the portrait hole Deus kept open for him. The kitchen looked the same it usually did to the Gryffindor boy, with a few students scattered here and there and a generous amount of house-elves fulfilling their every need. The Gryffindor boy wasn't really expecting anything unusual or out of the ordinary as they first walked inside; he imagined they would just take their seats at one of the small tables scattered around and sip on fresh, warm butterbeer.
However, it seemed they were getting VIP treatment that night. As the little house-elves basically came running to them to lead them to their very own private table in a special corner of the kitchen, Braeden couldn't help but smile, his brown eyes narrowing at Deus. Of course! How naive of him to think he'd just be treated like another regular student when Amadeus Kipling was around. Everything had to be fancy shmancy with his best mate.
Braeden, who was most definitely not the epitome of manners and class like Deus was, plopped down onto his seat and flashed one of the little house-elves a lopsided grin before it disappeared in the distance. The boy pulled off his gloves and merely threw them onto the table. Oh yes, he was all manners and class and all that jazz. He looked out the enchanted window for a moment before Deus asked what he thought of their little romantic date. "I think you pamper me too much, Deusy," replied Braeden with mock girlish tones, batting his eyelashes for a moment before leaning back on his seat and laughing lightly. "I don't think I'll ever adjust to your fancy lifestyle," he added with an amused smile, shaking his head slightly.

"I don't think I'll ever adjust to your fancy lifestyle," he added with an amused smile, shaking his head slightly. Amadeus chuckled at the flattery he was receiving from the lad who was truly being flattered. "Welcome to my ways, Brae," He simpered, lacing his fingers together and leaning back, placing them over his stomach as he stared out of the faux window. The magic seemed so real that even a light summer breeze blew through the window although the Ravenclaw full well knew that it was an icy hell out in the grounds. "I simply figured that after that little... episode at the lake, we both needed to be treated to more than a shared mug of hot cocoa." A corner of his lips raised to form a small, barely visible smile. He was truly embarrassed by their public fighting earlier and felt the need to wipe that memory from his mind.
At that moment, two elves that the friends had encountered earlier brought their supper. The male elf carried two large, fancily-decorated plates and placed one in front of each boy. Amadeus's plate had a hearty helping of pasta, laden with marinara sauce and cooked mushrooms. To the side lay a heaping of vegetables that were in season and that were freshly steamed. On Braeden's plate lay a hearty square of lasagna and next to it lay the same vegetables that were on his partner's dinner plate. Next, the female elf placed four glasses on the table: two were small glasses filled with water and the others were wine glasses, filled to the brim with frothy, sweet butterbeer. The female quickly scurried off, her torn skirts kicking up with the rapid running of her wrinkled feet. The male, who had been attending to them the most during their stay, commented that all theys needed to do was ask if they was in need of more refreshments. And that the dashing lion-like lad best mind his fancy hairs around the candle.
"Dig in," Amadeus smiled, knowing that this would be a new experience for his naive boyfriend.

Braeden looked impressed as the two elves arrived with their plates, and his brown eyes nearly popped out of his face at the sight of the most delicious lasagna he had ever smelled. And it probably tasted just as good, too. The boy chuckled softly at the house-elf's warnings before he disappeared back into the kitchen, leaving the two boys to enjoy a very Italian meal. Ever since they spent that one summer in Italy, Braeden had become a huge fanatic of Italian food. Sadly, in his tiny little hometown, French toast was as foreign as the food would get, so this was a real treat for the boy who was grinning to his plate like an idiot.
"Y'know, this reminds me a lot of Ferdinandea," said Braeden before taking the first ginormous bite from his lasagna. He could barely fit the greedy slice of lasagna in his mouth, and it took him a couple minutes to chew it all and finish it up before moving to the next bite. The boy could've just cried at the memory of their Italian summer. Sniffle. Good times, good times. Despite all the craziness they had to go through and the near-death experiences, it had really brought Braeden and Deus a lot closer, too, and the young Gryffindor boy didn't regret a single day they spent running away from the lava erupting from the volcanic island.

Spooning a forkful of pasta and thick tomato sauce through his lips and into his mouth, the blonde chewed thoughtfully for a moment, remembering their vacation on the island. Things had been quite interesting and at times scary, but their friendship had definitely grown much stronger as a result of the struggles that they experienced on the small island off the coast of Italy. "Yes, it does, actually," He answered after chewing and swallowing the sumptuous food that the elves had prepared for them. "I miss that. Maybe we can go on another vacation this coming summer." He lowered his head in thought, peeking up at Braeden as he tried to gauge his reaction. With Amadeus graduating from Hogwarts this year, it would be perfect for them to spend some more guy-to-guy time together. It would be plausible, as Amadeus's parents could most likely pay for the middle-class Gryffindor to come along.
Suddenly, Amadeus heard music coming out of nowhere. It was very soft and he didn't recognize the singers. Out of the corner of his blue eyes, he saw a house elf positioning a small, old-fashioned radio on a stool near their table. As Deus continued to eat, picking at his vegetables, the music sounded decidedly muggle. Braeden would probably recognize the song. "Mate," He asked, "Do you know what music this is?" It was a bit embarrassing that the house elves had provided even more of a romantic mood for their supper. Maybe they had gotten the wrong vibes, but it didn't bother the Ravenclaw much. Before Brae could answer, he quickly added in a hushed tone, "Please don't start dancing again."

Braeden's expression lit up as Deus voiced the idea of them going on another vacation this coming summer. That sounded… wonderful! The boy could nearly bounce in his seat in excitement, the idea of having another summer trip like last time had him grinning brighter than ev-- Wait. Wait a second. This… summer… This summer, Deus would be graduating! He would be… gone. And while Braeden stayed in Hogwarts for another two years, his best friend was moving on to the real world, to start a new life with new awesome summers and new… friendships. New friendships?! Possibly even a new best friend. Braeden's bottom lip quivered at the thought. Would the summer mean the end of their friendship? Would this upcoming summer be the last they spent together? The Gryffindor boy almost got teary-eyed thinking about it. He wasn't ready to let Deus go…
Braeden was just about to comment on this when, suddenly, the air began to fill with a sweet very old-fashioned melody. At first, the boy seemed not to notice, being too immersed in his own sorrowful thoughts, but as the music continued to play and he began to recognize the melody and its lyrics, Braeden's eyebrows rose in surprise. No way! Jay and The Americans in Hogwarts!? Was he imagining things?!
" Know it?! I love this song!" exclaimed an overexcited Braeden. He was a huge fan of the oldies, and this… Aw man, he grew up listening to this music! " This magic moment… this magic moment… while your lips are close to mineeeeeeee! Will last forever… forever till the end of timeeeeeeee! " Through his obnoxious singing, the Gryffindor boy couldn't hear Deus's warning, and in the next moment, he was off his seat and on his feet, picking up the candle that stood on the middle of the table and using it as microphone as he sang to it dramatically. "This right here is the birth of all good music!" he told Deus between his singing, completely unaware of the startled looks the little house-elves gave him.

Sure, it was lovely that Braeden actually recognized the tune and wouldn't have to send a curious Deus to the Muggle Studies professor with a question about it, but... OH NO. Here it was: Braeden making a public spectacle, yet again. Amadeus was ready to mutter viciously at the Gryffindor to tell him to become silent, put the candle down, and back away slowly like a good boy friend, but upon remembering that they were virtually by themselves in this secluded area of the kitchens, Amadeus said nothing. He actually, surprisingly, began tapping his foot to the beat of the song, Braeden's ever-so-dorky dance moves causing him to grin a winning smile at his silly antics. The Ravenclaw began to wonder if he was actually beginning to loosen up when Braeden went into super-dork mode. Possibly?
As the song came to an end, Amadeus clapped and whistled softly. "Bravo," He laughed, picking up his water and taking a long, slow sip. "I never knew that you sang as well as danced, Brae." He took a bite of some of his veggies, chewing on them slowing as yet another unrecognizable song came on, one with an even more upbeat melody.

He took a bite of some of his veggies, chewing on them slowing as yet another unrecognizable song came on, one with an even more upbeat melody. Braeden flashed his best friend one of his goofy, lopsided grins and bowed exaggeratedly as the song ended, causing some of the candle's wax to slip onto the floor. Two seconds later, a house-elf was already cleaning it up. The Gryffindor boy laughed lightly as Deus complimented his dancing and singing skills, though whether he was being serious or just sarcastically teasing him, Braeden wasn't sure. Either way, he'd had a good time. How could he not? That was one of his favourite songs! And he was glad to see that it had helped his Ravenclaw friend loosen up a bit. Had he been imagining things or had Deus really been tapping his foot? He'd have to question the Ravenclaw boy on it later, after they finished their food.
Braeden then proceeded to place the candle back in its place and he was halfway in the process of sitting down when - The Four Tops at Hogwarts?! "I LOVE THIS SONG!" the Gryffindor boy suddenly burst out. "Even more than the last one!" he added, because that wasn't obvious already in the way he suddenly jumped back up to his feet. " Sugarpie, honeybunch! You now that I'm weak for youuuuu! I can't help myself, I love you and nobody elseeeee! " This was… the BEST. SONG. Ever created! Braeden honestly couldn't help himself this time, his feet and his whole body was moving on its own, intoxicated by the catchy melody. Back up on his feet, the Gryffindor boy did a couple turns and twists near the old-fashioned radio before dancing over to his best mate the same way he had danced (and scared all the girls away) back at Ferdinandea. " C'mon!" he called out to Deus, holding out a hand for the boy as invitation to join him on the dance floor, the goofiest of his grins lighting up his childlike expression.

Maybe he should ask to borrow Braeden's music one of these days to expand his worldliness. His eyes widened as Braeden offered him a hand. Deus backed up in his chair a few inches until he was against the wall, giving his friend the Deus look of "what in Merlin's name is going on?": the raised eyebrow and the lowered head. However, Deus looked around. No one was around. Why not have a little fun? Smiling mischievously, the Ravenclaw took his friends hand briefly and sprung up, beginning to bust a move himself for the remainder of the groovy tune.
He couldn't help but laugh as they moved about the tiled floor. Acting silly, Amadeus even did a pirouette across the floor and pretended to be a ballerina, finishing his act with a twirl on his toes before he returned to dancing in sync with his friend. A new song began to play, one that began with a few notes on a guitar. Would this be a rock and roller? Amadeus was ready to bust some serious moves, beginning to mess about with Brae, until he noticed the slow pace of the song. He glanced at his friend rather awkwardly, almost asking him if they should continue, when he shrugged and simply began to dance at a slower pace. "Why not?" Amadeus snickered, swaying his hips from side to side.

Sebastian walked into the oh-so-famous kitchens, lost. Yes, he was lost, but wasn't that good? Kurumi told him that if he became lost then he would find the kitchens. Well here he was walking around the kitchens, wondering how to get out of here now that he was in here. Maybe somebody could help him?
Oooh, look, FOOD!

Oooh, look, FOOD! Emma walked in the Hogwarts Kitchen. For some reason, she really had the urge to bake something, which was totally unsual for the Slytheirn. Hmm.. Change of mind? The blonde saw a boy standing by himself. Hmmm.. He looked confused. "[B]Hey, do you need some help?/B]" she asked, kindly.

HOT DAYUM!
Amadeus was putting Braeden to some serious shame when he pulled those crazy dance moves, leaving the goofy Gryffindor boy with his brown eyes widened and his jaw hanging. Well, well, well. Who knew Deus could get this… crunk? Huh? Huhhhh? This was something Braeden had never witnessed before, not even during their stay in Ferdinandea. He had to record this moment in history; this was something he had to tell his grandchildren about!
And so, as Deus continued swinging and dancing along with the music, Braeden, like a good little muggleborn boy, pulled out what he usually always kept near himself - a camera. The boy was an aspiring film director and producer, he had to carry a camera around. Quietly, Braeden began to step a little further away from the dance floor and toward the old-fashioned radio while Deus continued dancing distractedly. The Gryffindor boy snickered to himself as he recorded Deus's smooth moves. Aw man… wait 'til Roderigo and Riley see this. They were going to fall backwards on their seats.
That was, if Deus didn't kill Braeden first. So, as soon as the lively song was over, Braeden hid the camera away back in his pocket. He clapped enthusiastically at the performance his best friend had given and grinned with amusement as the older boy began to dance yet again! And this time, to a slow song! "I think the elves put something in your butterbeer, mate," said the Gryffindor boy with a light laugh, watching with amusement as Deus danced so amusingly. Braeden was goofy, it was true, but even he had his limits. And there was no way he was slow dancing with another guy. Unless you gave him another drink.

Zander glanced Around ... so this was the kitchens. there seemed to be alot of people around he looked over his shoulder just as Caroline dashed down to the dungeons to drop of her books. He surveyed the scene for a while and noticed two lads roughly his age .. dancing ?! ... what ever floats your boat, however he was now worried that it was a custom at Hogwarts to dance for your food... surely that couldn't be the case.
He leaned up against the wall , glancing down the hall every so often waiting for Caroline.
