Default The Kitchen

The house elves are hard at work preparing your next meal but, they're always willing to prepare an after-hours snack to those students who are brave enough to tickle the pear and enter the kitchens. Ovens and refrigerators like the back wall, while pots, potion burners, utensils and pans are scattered over counters.

Surely that would bring a smile to Adam's face...and stop their cookies from ending up on the wall.
"You mean, you're gonna stay here, for me? Or just because?"He continued asking. He noticed a piece of sticky beige mixture land on Kurumi's nose. So he went over to her nose , wiped it off and ate it."Tastes good.Sorry about that."He said as he now mixed more gently, before all the content in the bowl was gone and he would not have any sweets.
"Bubblegum quidditch, it's fun. But maybe we can try some football at the lake...."He suggested. He missed the rush of the wind passing through his hair.

"I have been thinking about staying here for a while now, actually," Kurumi said in a very matter of fact tone as she began mixing the wet and dry ingredients together. "The library is open during the holidays you know." That was reason enough to stay, of course. "You would just be an added bonus." She blushed as Adam removed the goo from her nose and then...ate it. Well, at least she knew the mixture tasted good. "I am sure it will taste even better once it isn't raw."

"When you say football...do you mean American football or soccer?" The English language could be so cruel sometimes. Why American's called the sport soccer was beyond her, football made so much more sense since you actually used your feet. American football, well, that name didn't make much sense to her either.

"Uhmm..." Pumpkin juice was always her 'go-to' drink. But...she didn't think it would go all too well with chocolate cake. Butterbeer....would probably go excellent, though. "Do they have Butterbeer down here?"

Ellie laughed at Dallin. Impatient boy, huh? Hehe. "Even then it'll have to be frosted," she pointed out. She knew enough that she was pretty sure the cake wasn't baked with the frosting.

Lexi plopped herself onto a stool beside Neptune and propped her elbow on the table and then put her chin in her hand. Pouting was permitted, yes? She was certain it wouldn't be an issue with the Pout Princess around. That princess being Neptune and all. Heheh.

Of course a Ravenclaw thought it was interesting. Neptune almost rolled her eyes at the ridiculousness and obviousness of such a statement, but withheld. Barely. Instead, she simply radiated smug.

The house elves brought her cocoa first and Neptune gave the little creature an itsy bitsy teensy little pat on the head, using only her fingertips. Well done, creature. Well done.

"Is there something the matter, Lexi?" Hmmmm? Neptune eyed the girl over her mug of cocoa.

The Slytherin shook her head at Elliots comment.Really? It was the cutes thing ever."Dont say that",the blonde told her friend,"its insanly cute.Tell that the girl you like and she will melt."what girl wouldnt aww at him being afraid of houselves?!"You have been alone most of the time?",she asked shocked,"but what did your parents do?"This sounded rough. Elliot laughed along with Fee. "Yeah. I totally agree with the weird mind of a girl thingy." he chuckled. Sometime girls had a really weird mind with something like this. "So have you found the King yet?" he asked smirking. "Oh wait. If my memories served me right I'm pretty sure that you had found him." he said still had a smirk plastered on his face. The Slytherin lad remembered that Fee told him about a guy when they met in Diagon Alley before the school start. What was his name again?

He just rolled his eyes when Fee still insisted that his fear with house elves when he was still a child was cute. "Melt?" he laughed. "I doubt that Fee." he laughed again. "More like laughing at me." he said. He seriously doubt that girls would considered that cute. "Yup. I've been alone most of the time." he nodded and took a bite from his sandwich. "My father is a businessman most of the time he went around Merlin knows where and took my mother with him." and leave him in a care of the house elves. "Sneaky and brave?" he raised his eyebrows. "I'm kinda like that idea." he gave her a wide grin.

Lexi smiled at the little elves as they brought Neptune her cocoa. She knew her food would take a little while to whip up so she continued in full pout mode.

She was a bit startled when Neptune spoke again asking her if something was the matter. Meh. "I guess I was just thinking about stuff. I feel really bad for hurting a friend's feelings. Even though I guess I didn't realize I was hurting his feelings at the time. Now he hasn't spoken to me in a while and it just... hurts a bit," she said as she shifted uncomfortably in her seat.

Looking at the girl opposite her she asked, "You really do think I am crazy don't you?" Change the subject, eh? Pout fest over as quickly as it started.

"Oh...," Neptune wiped at her whipped creamy lip. Hehe. "Who? If I might. Maybe you're fretting over nothing." As in, Neptune was the expert on who was and wasn't worthy of remorse?

Riiiiight.

Neptune sipped her cocoa while she considered how to answer that question. With tact or brutal honest?

"Perhaps crazy isn't the best word..."

Lexi chewed on her bottom lip for a moment and sighed. "Salander," was all she said as she averted her eyes.

It was like those little elves had PERFECT timing. Her steak, potatoes and carrots showed up at just that moment. Super! Lexi thought about diving into the food like the little piggie that she was... but surely the Bott Princess would vomit if she saw Lexi eat as she normally did. So instead she pushed a carrot around with her fork and just... played with her food.

"Then what would you say is? I promise you... I don't offend very easily. I am not sure why I want your outlook on it... but I would like to know how others view me," she said with a shrug as she speared the carrot and popped it into her mouth.

"Salander," Neptune wiggled her eyebrows over her mug. GIGGLE. "He's pretty." MMmmmhmmmmm. "What did you say to him? Was it something.... really mean?"

Neptune put down her mug and dabbed at the creases of her lips with a napkin provided by the house elves. Were those cookies nearly ready? Hmmm?

"I ... should say that you... perhaps speak before thinking? Like your brain isn't quite connected to your mouth. Not that I know you all that well..."

....eeeeep?
Lexi couldn't help but giggle as Neptune wiggled her eyebrows. "Yeah he is pretty. And quite a lovely person too," she said in a sincere tone. "If you consider my saying 'I'm sorry. Ivan is my boyfriend, Salander' to be really mean... then yeah I suppose it was," she said with a little sigh.

She figured she was going to have to give Neptune the details... why was she even talking to Neptune about it at all? Was it because she had lost Kat... and needed another female to talk to about stuff? Yeah that was probably it. She would wait to see if she was asked for more info though.. perhaps Neptune could work it out on her own.

Then as Neptune gave her opinion on Lexi she couldn't help but lauh outright. "I would say that is a very fair assessment, to be honest. I think the filter between the two is missing," she said.

Default For Katie <33
HeadGirlMC | Treddie & Trixiver <3 | Copy Girl | Katie's Ickle Minion | I love YOU more

With her hand still in his as Freddie had obviously decided not to take his away, Trixie led her fellow Seventh year down the corridor that led towards the kitchen. Deciding that she didn’t want to end their ongoing conversation just yet, the Head Girl carried on talking as if they hadn’t gone anywhere, well she liked talking to Freddie anyway. He was offering to take her to see the Muggle World? N’aww that was... really sweet. She’d seen some of it before but she would really like that. “Yeah that would be fun, after you take me to seaworld of course” she winked at him. But why was he trailing off? She liked that idea! “Honestly, that sounds brilliant. I look forward to it” she looked at him with a genuine and reassuring smile.

“Well... I don’t know whether that’s true. I guess so, I don’t think Nick exactly would want to go around with his head half chopped off” she stated laughing as she trailed off. Eh it was kinda gruesome the more she thought about it. Shudder. “What? I don’t know THAT much you know, I’m not a Ravenclaw for a start. I just listen, in lessons that is.. You won’t often find me with my face in a book unless its school work” she raised her eyebrow. Just to get that out into the open. “Sort of. Its hard to tell exactly what they are isn’t it? Some say its their souls, others their memories, how they want to be perceived. Its both really, they’re HERE because that’s where their memories are right?” or did he think totally differently to her? “Oh you will. They’re very friendly, often stop for a chit chat occasionally. Depends which one your talking to I suppose, some could be a little.. Irritable” like the ones that tended to chat about the students in a not so delightful manner. Special treatment? “Is that really so bad though?” she asked raising her brow daringly. “I don’t mind if they did. I’m just helping a new student. And remember what I’ve told you start of term.. or in DA rather, students here tend to think their own things, they’d probably see it as something.. different” Mhmm.. Rumours were a part of Hogwarts life.

“You.. got mocked?” she raised her brow.. AGAIN. Seriously that was a bad habit, she needed to stop doing that. And she also needed to stop saying things he could find offensive. “I don’t mean that in a bad way, I was just.. surprised” Mhmm she was backtracking now. “I wouldn’t mock you. Im actually impressed” her head tilted to look at him. “Nah I won’t. Your company is good. Believe me I’d be a completely lost soul if you weren’t here. You can ask whatever you like” and she really meant that. “If I was evil I would have probably done something to you by now... Not that you would know if I had” Did that make sense? Ah well.. Cue the shifty eyes.

Trixie Malfoy was a LOT of things but a snob she certainly was not. She wouldn’t love the people she did if she was. She’d probably be that stereotypical Slytherin, parading around the school like she owned it. “Good. Because I’m definitely not. I’m well off, but don’t let that change what you think of me, it doesn’t change what I think of anyone else” she stated. HAHA! That wasn’t meant to be funny was it? It was just the way he had said it, ‘your a good person’ It was such a funny statement. “Umm.. Thanks” her white teeth flashed as she let out giggles. “I live on a farm” She’ll just leave out the Manor house bit. “I guess any move from the City from the Middle of Wales would be crazy anyway. We live completely different lives. That doesn’t go to say that I wouldn’t MIND going to see how you live” Hint Hint.

“Do you have to do them then? This soon.. I promise I will get you at least ONE NEWT to be proud of by the end of the year. I’m doing them myself aren’t I?" And he needed charms practice if he wanted to learn the summoning charm. “That would mean you had 2 in the bag then.. Muggle Studies will be a breeze. And Arithmancy is just like maths” that was the correct name for it right?

*Blink* Her head was still getting over this sudden revelation. Did she know him? KNOW HIM?! “He’s.. I.. yes” she flustered a little. THIS was Oliver Greenwoods Cousin. “Has he ever spoken about me?” she asked before mentioning who she was in relation to him. Didn’t want that swaying his answer. “Lets just say... I spent my whole Hogwarts life with him and miss him like CRAZY” was that a big enough clue? “And he left me in tears last term...” Maybe that was too much information. This was mad.

Oh he was so set on offending those badgers. Reminded her of SOMEONE ELSE! Yeah did he learn that from a certain someone? She laughed and snorted turning to look straight at him. “Yeah they have BRAINS everyone has a brain duh” she replied sarcastically. There was the old Trixie again, poking her tongue out a little but deciding that looked a little immature. “I’m scared of heights thats a start.. I’m not EVER going to be a Gryffindor. And I don’t want to try it.. I love my house and no ones gonna change that” she stated.

The Blonde let go of his hand so she could push open the door that led into the kitchens and waited for Freddie to pass through first before continuing on. “I don’t know, you just act a bit like one. All this Hufflepuff offending, quick thinking... You just belong here” she told him, a glint in her pretty eyes.

“Welcome to the Hogwarts Kitchens. And err.. to the House Elf haven” she leaned against a work top as she spoke. “S’not that special but there’s tons of food here if you want it” Not that she was hungry herself.

Did Neptune consider that mean? She DID consider it, having had something similar said to her over the summer. "That... that can hurt though, Lexi." Just saying. So maybe her feeling bad was justifiable. "Did you make him leave after that?"

Neptune finally got her cookies and nibbled happily for a time. "Not the filter, the connection entirely." Griiiinnn. "I think it's how the Sorting Hat knows what House to put people. It searched for the link, if it's missing....," Neptune lowered her voice to act the part of Sorting Hat, "...better be Gryffindor!"

Lullz.

Lullz.

Lexi nodded her head and then shook it no. "He ran off on me. They both did. Left me crying. I never meant to hurt either of them and I hurt them both," she said with a shrug. Lexi never meant to hurt anyone but she always seemed to. Perhaps it was her talent. Meh.

Thank you Neptune Bott for lightening the mood!

Lexi giggled before popping another carrot into her mouth. Once she was done chewing Trust me... it killed her to finish chewing before she spoke she said, "You might have a point. Sabel is the prime example of one that has lost that conenction. Maybe that's why we are such good friends."

...

Neptune's Sorting Hat impression had Lexi cracking up. She looked at the girl and shook her head. "You aren't as bad as I thought you were, you know. I am not sure really what I thought... maybe that you were stuffy and pretentious and didn't know how to have fun... but I was wrong. YOu are alright in my book, Miss Bott." Compliment of the highest caliber.

"Don't you hate that? Crying because... because?" That wasn't exactly articulate, but Neptune was almoooooost positive Lexi would follow. "And the ... unintentional... sometimes has worse repercussions than the intentional."

Neptune Bott knew.

She laaaaaughed along with Lexi. "Sabel Dakest is missing more than just that link. He's missing a whole section of brain that most normal people have." This was said, of course, with affection. Neptune Bott had love for Sabel. "But I'm offended! Totally offended! As if there was ever any doubt that I was alright!"

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFff.

"Stuffy and pretentious."
PAH. Neptune upturned her nose, though in jest this time, at the THOUGHT. Her? Never.

Lexi nodded her head vigorously. "YES! Oh man... it's terrible! The unintentional does tend to be a bit harsher. It just happens sometimes... I can't control the world... I can't control other people. I can't even control myself sometimes," she said with a chuckle. "That doesn't mean that I do things to hurt people... on purpose."

Lexi couldn't help but giggle at Neptune's outlook on Sabel. "You might be on to something there. He should be studied," she offered with a grin.

Laughing harder still and snorting a bit, Lexi looked at the girl opposite herself and shook her head slightly. "Be honest... you didn't think I was alright either. So I think we are even," she said with a chuckle.

Trixie made no move to take her small hand from his and so Freddie didn't let go either. He glanced at her face, wondering whether he should say anything, but nothing really needed to be said – she looked pretty relaxed. He fell into step with the smaller girl as they made their way down the corridor towards the kitchens. If he hadn't had the Head Girl with him, he had no doubt he would have been able to find it on his own given the delicious smells wafting down the corridor their way. He relaxed a little, the embarrassment fading when his offer was met with a positive response and a smile that was so pretty and reassuring that it was impossible not to be put at ease. “It's a date then.” He smiled a little allowing the words to settle and to let Trixie make of it as she pleased.

It was rather a disturbing thought indeed. But then if Trixie's theory was right that ghosts were nothing but memories, then it made sense in a way. He chuckled softly at Trixie's words and her soft laugh that followed. So the Head Girl wasn't a bookworm or a swot if what she was saying was the truth. “So what do you do with your time if you don't spend your days reading, Head Girl?” He asked, raising a brow. “Do you play Quidditch?” Ah yeah, Freddie actually knew a little bit about the magical sport – mainly from his cousin who was obsessed... but his Great Great Great.. er.. Great? Uncles were the infamous Broadmoor brothers, Kevin and Karl, famed for their dirty tactics and subsequent suspensions from the game.

The idea of a ghost actually having a soul was met with a small shudder from Freddie. An eternity to be spent not being able to touch or taste or experience everything a human being was so privileged to experience. He disliked the idea. He nodded slowly. “A memory is easier to accept.” He shrugged deciding not to elaborate and share his rather morbid thoughts on the subject. Irritable memories.. now there was a bizarre thought. “So what about the paintings?” He asked gesturing to and oil painting of an old gnarled looking man with a big nose and tiny piggy eyes on the wall. “Is that just some freaky magic?” The painting grumbled about Freddie's choice of words but he didn't take any of it in. He was far too interested in Trixie and what she had to say.

Was it bad? The Slytherin's eyes snapped up to meet Trixie's. It was almost as if she was challenging him. He had to be careful here, but the girl obviously wasn't too bothered that people might think they were... together. Her hand in his was proof of that wasn't it? “I...” He swallowed. “It wouldn't bother me if anyone thought that we.. we..er...” He trailed off looking sheepish. Helping a new student? Freddie's face fell back into it's usual unemotional state to hide his disappointment at her statement. Of course. She was doing her job. So why was her hand still in his? Urgh.. Now Freds was just confused.

Change of subject. Good. One side of Freddie's mouth curled up into a half smirk. Yeah, he got mocked. Not bullied or picked on but lightly ribbed by his mates. Trixie clearly thought he meant he was a target by the look of surprise on her face. “Just mates messing around.” He assured her. “I can look after myself you know?” She wouldn't mock him? “You're surprised that I read?” He mirrored her expression and raised a brow. “You think just because I look like this...” He gestured at himself with his free hand -he did look rough, maybe even a little intimidating from a distance.. “...that I'm allergic to books. Nah, I was a bit of a swot at my old school. I think that's why I'm finding it so hard to adjust to being here at Hogwarts. Being clueless and so behind.” And that was the real reason he disliked Hogwarts.

Wait? WHAT? The lad's eyes widened a little, surprised by this confession. The Head Girl.. the HEAD GIRL, who was so articulate and smart and funny and helpful and... hot, was grateful for HIS company!? He cleared his throat. “You really mean that?” It was hard to believe that Trixie felt lonely here. “I'll pay you back somehow.” He said genuinely. It couldn't be easy having someone so ignorant following you around like a lost sheep and asking ridiculous questions all the time. His lips quirked a little at her light teasing. She was so cool. So chilled. Yep. Freddie definitely liked this girl.

No.. he wasn't a snob at all. The very fact that she was sitting here talking to a boy like Freddie was proof of that. But appearances could be deceptive.. as he had just proved with admission of being a bookworm. “Just cos you've got money isn't going to change what I think.” He replied softly. He look at her confused when she giggled at his words – she was mocking him? He frowned and looked away. He supposed it was a weird thing to say but he meant it. How many kids around here could actually be bothered to help him out? And for nothing in exchange.. yeah.. she WAS a good person. He remained silent and straight faced however, and just continued to listen to the blonde girl. She lived on a farm? Another surprising confession. “Forgive me.. You don't really seem like the farm girl type to me.” She was right - they did live completely different lives. “I've never been to the country before.” He confessed, slightly embarrassed... even more so when Trixie hinted on visiting his home. He cringed inwardly. “I'll show you London.” He replied quickly and rather diplomatically. He didn't want Trixie anywhere NEAR the housing estate he lived on.

He shrugged. “I don't know. I think so. I'm seventeen and we're learning the NEWT syllabus. I did my A-Levels a year early so it's not like I've got muggle exams to stress over.” But the thought of taking NEWTs after only one year of knowing you were a wizard was TERRIFYING. One NEWT? Well that was one more than Freddie thought he was going to achieve. “You're on, Head Girl.” He said amused, his hand unconsciously squeezed hers slightly. Maths – he could handle Maths just fine. “Muggle Studies.” He repeated. He'd seen the subject on his timetable but the thought of studying muggles was rather strange to the lad. “What exactly do we do in Muggle Studies?” He asked sheepishly. “...We don't... conduct experiments on them, right? Dissect them to see how they're different.” Because if that was the case, Freddie wasn't going to that class. In fact, he'd have to rethink this whole wizard thing completely.. *gulp*

Something about Trixie changed when Freddie mentioned his cousin. She seemed almost flustered by the mere mention of his name. Had Oliver and her..? Oh no. Oh... no! Oliver and Trixie had dated? But.. surely Trixie knew she was better than him. Maybe she had realised. Maybe that was why Oliver was now with someone else. He shook his head. “I don't see him much. Not since he moved in with his old man.” The pair had been inseparable before that but, things changed. When you were a kid you just accepted change and moved on pretty quickly with your life. He'd made her CRY? “Because you'd miss him?” He asked. Or because he'd dumped her for the redhead on the day of his graduation. Nice. So he was still a selfish little idiot. Some things never changed.

He wasn't really trying to be offensive towards the Hufflepuffs but he thought he'd get that obvious pun in before anyone else could. He gave the girl a small smile when sarcasm he didn't even know she was capable of came out. Now that was a good reason she and Oliver probably got on well... especially when she poked her tongue out at him - the immaturity - she almost reminded him of his cousin. “Bravery's not all about boldness.” He replied with a shrug. “It's possible to be brave without bravado.” Yeah.. but Freddie could tell EXACTLY why Trixie was a Slytherin. And you couldn't change, could you? Not after the sorting hat had decided which house you were suited to. He still thought the thing was faulty though. It must have been old. Could a talking hat go senile?

They were outside the kitchens and Trixie had let go of his hand leaving it feeling cold after being in hers so long. He shoved both his hands in his pockets and with his shoulders slouched, walked into the kitchen and waited for Trix to catch up. He acted like a Snake? He actually quite liked the idea of that. “Quick thinking? Isn't that a Ravenclaw trait?” He winked. Now he was just being deliberately awkward.

So.. apparently this was the kitchens. And those.. those things were house elves!? The lad's mouth fell open and he stared at the poor creatures... but he seemed to come to his senses and realised what he was doing. He closed his mouth and looked over to Trixie. “They're, like, slaves?” His eyes widened. He'd read about how the little folk were treated by wizardkind. “They wont mind if I just take something?” He eyed the freshly baked pasties on the counter. Merlin, they looked delicious. They SMELLED delicious.

He'd read about how the little folk were treated by wizardkind. “They wont mind if I just take something?” He eyed the freshly baked pasties on the counter. Merlin, they looked delicious. They SMELLED delicious.

Mmmm.... The smell of this place was fantastic, really the Hufflepuffs did choose a fantastic place to stick their common room, though she was still definitely won over by her, or rather their Common Room under the Lake. It was amazing down there, not too hot and certainly less busy then most of the places around the Castle. A lot of other house members, especially the younger ones were probably too scared to go down there. Besides the smell would probably get annoying after a while. "I wouldn't recommended offending the Hufflepuffs up here, their common room is just down the corridor" she giggled, not that, that would stop anyone. Her hand remained firmly in his, her eyes drifting down quickly and then back up to where she was heading. She felt strangely relaxed, comfortable even, in fact she could even go as far as saying it felt perfectly natural. A..date? Was he being serious there, or just playing with her. The blonde raised her eyebrow as she looked at him, smiling genuinely. "Yeah. I guess it is." If that was what they were going to call it.. she'd be perfectly fine with that.

Maybe.. well okay she was a bit of a swot, at least she certainly USED to be. This year she had kept on being distracted, her homework wasn't completely kept up to date, she really needed to do something about that, she was supposed to set a good example after all. "I don't know really. I used to have my best friend here, we used to mess about.. well not mess.. oh you get what I mean" she scrunched up her nose a little before relaxing at the mention of Quidditch. "I used to. I guess I still do at home, dad was professional, he played with the Muggle Studies Professor" she informed him. "I was on the team...But we didn't have it last term and I'm too busy to try out this term." Yeah. Huge sigh! "Why? Do YOU play?" It would be pretty amazing if he did, to have someone to practice with. She was surprised he knew about it though, guess it was something he had read up on before coming here.

Trixie mirrored his shudder, not intentionally, just the thought was quite, disturbing if you thought about it. "Yeah. And it also seems, more believable I suppose" she pondered. It wasn't exactly something she'd thought a lot about, she was just used to them floating around the place, like they were embedded in the schools foundations. "Have you ever had the feeling that a paintings eyes were following you? Well here they really do" it was clear in her voice that she was amused. "I don't really know how they work, they just.. do. Most are famous Wizards and Witches.. They're kinda like memories too then. Memories captured in paintings" if that made any sense whatsoever. Her eyes wandered over to a very offended looking painting, to which she had to respond with the rolling of her eyes. "They can hear you, you know" she told him with a wink.

Oh now she looked in them, his eyes were actually really quite pretty. But he trailed off at her question and he looked a little sheepish to say the least. She wouldn't mind if people did. "Good. Neither would I" she replied looking straight up at him, a pretty smile on her delicate face. But the absence of his smile worried her, had she said something wrong again? "I don't HAVE to do this though you know? I chose to.." if that was what he was worried about. As she had said before, Hogwarts students just thought whatever they like.

"Oh I see" she relaxed a little. Was that Common in Muggle Schools then? Or for people his age. Because Trixie would have HATE to be mocked, well some people were allowed to because it was just in their nature, but anyone else, no it would probably make her incredibly unconfident about herself. "Yeah I get that" she looked him up and down once. Yes appearances could be perceptive but he certainly LOOKED like someone who could take care of themselves. "Just a little. No I don't judge on appearances.. well.. everyone does it don't they?" she bit her lip a little catiously. "Dont tell me there wasn't just a small thought in your head that claimed I would be a dumb blonde?" she asked raising an eyebrow. "Change is good though isn't it? Well it CAN be. If your a bit of a swot.." rather like herself. Shh.. ".. You'll enjoy learning all this new information." Did that help at all?

Um. Why were his eyes widening like that? *Flail* Should she just shut her mouth and not mention anything else today? Because she kept on saying the wrong things apparently. Except this one seemed to be quite a happy or shocked that was probably a better word for it, expression. "I don't lie. Course I mean that. I haven't smiled in quite a while" the Slytherin confessed. Pay her back? "How exactly?" the seventeen year old asked curiously, almost cheekily though. Well she was interested in what that meant. There wasn't anything she particularly wanted. Her eyebrow shot up AGAIN as she spoke.

And the more she spoke to him, the more she realised that he was completely different to what he first appeared to be. In fact it was quite clear he was maybe a little shy, not now obviously, but it was cute. Very cute. "Good. Honestly I don't like to go on about being "well off" to anyone." Insert inverted commas with her fingers. "I think its great to have such variety in a place like this. Hearing each others stories is fascinating" and that sounded slightly pathetic. Oh dear. He picked up on the farm thing. "Its only horses really. Well there are a few other animals and.. the erm.. house" which it will remain as from now on. Unless he visited her then it would be.. more than a house. Oh and the treehouse. Yeah. Cough. "Never? Really?" she was shocked. How could someone have never been to the country? It was so stunning. "We're kinda in the countryside right now" she stated. Hogwarts grounds were impressive werent they? "But summer, I'm taking you to Wales" she told him, with no backing out. London? JUST London? "Ive... been to London before..." Was he ashamed or something?

Exactly. So with a little tutoring from me and a LOT of hard work in lessons, it will be a breeze. I promise Pinky promise if she had too, but she was sure he wouldn't want to do something cheesy like that. "Great" she raised both her eyebrows quickly and smirked, noticing the small hand squeeze, the Head Girl smiled down at their hands. Well that was.. pleasant. "Do WHAT..?!" the Blonde gasped and shook her head. ".. Goodness no. Thats inhumane. Heck half the students here are Muggle Born, we're not going to do that to torture them are we?" she asked still shocked by the statement. "No. Jeremy.. I mean the Professor is Muggle Born himself, I think. We just get taught their ways of life if you get what I mean? Like last year we learned how to play baseball" until it got wrecked with a huge amount of drama on Trixies behalf.. Oops. "And we've learned how to do first aid and... Stuff with telephones" Err.. Well that was all she could remember anyway.

Oh my jeez. Did she just have some automatic connection with this family or something? Or was it just that they were all completely amazing? Because she seemed to have picked up two of them so far. We're there any more?! "He's moved out since though hasn't he? In with his.. " her voice lowered and the smile wiped off of her face. ".. Friend" HMPH! Eh. Missing him wasn't the worse of it all. "You could say that.." her expression changed completely to one of sadness. Ergh. Stupid cruel age gap. Still at least Freddie was here to keep her company. If it wasn't for him she'd probably end up moping in a dark corner of the dungeons. Anyway, moving on to more cheerful subjects. Like Freddie. Yeah..

Oh dear. The poking out of the tongue was probably a little TOO extreme wasn't it? But it was fun and she needed to let loose once in a while after all. "The only brave thing Ive ever does it to.." she paused and trailed off at the thought. Err.. Yeah he probably wouldn't want to hear this. But she'd left the sentence mid open, yet it would take a very long time to fully explain the memory loss story to him. She would if he wanted her to but she'd leave it at that for now. Brava whatta? She couldn't ever be a Gryffindor and that was basically that. She was happy and proud to be a snake where she truly belonged.

Okay. So now he was just being picky. Trix rolled her eyes at Freddie before choosing to answer, slipping in behind him into the large space and standing away from the door in case anyone was to come in. Not that they were exactly doing anything wrong, they had free will to be here. "Not really if your using your quick wit to think of some incredibly shifty plan to dominate the world" she ended the last bit sarcastically, that was what people thought right? "We use our wit in a different way to those brain boxes on the seventh floor" she smirked.

Slaves was a harsh word to describe them as. Trixie watched a pair prepare some food, sighing slightly as she thought about the work that they did have to do. "They're free elves, they just chose to be here, they like to work for us" she smiled. "Its always been there life, plus they make amazing food, it would be cruel of them to leave us" she pouted. Her eyes followed to the pasty on the side before turning back. "No I'm sure they wouldn't. Food IS for eating" she grinned.

Neptune didn't quite agree with all of that. She hadn't ever lost control of herself. Her feelings and thoughts ran rampant in places Neptune couldn't follow, but as far as actions and reactions Neptune was in control.

Again, she was quite sure the Gryffindor had a loose wire somewhere between brain and mouth and another between brain and limbs. Giggle.

"Ohh! He should! I'm going to suggest it Kellen. I bet we could do that. A summer project. He might be extraterrestrial, you know."
It wouldn't be terribly surprising.

"You think I think you're alright?"
Neptune almost managed NOT to grin and give herself away. Okaaaaay, okay, Lexi was okay. Neptune had been afraid of her, but thing was, she was STILL a little afraid of her. What if Neptune was on the other end of Lexi's wrath again one day....?

As he stuffed his face with bread, Braeden proceeded to sit down opposite Evangeline. He tried to think of a place that was completely secret in the castle, a place she wouldn't be likely to find easily... but where? Hmmm...

Just as he was thinking about this, the house-elf from earlier arrived with all of Braeden's requests on a silver platter. With a grin, the boy immediately began to dig in, stopping only once his stomach felt like it might just burst, at which point the Gryffindor boy proceeded to lean on the back legs of his chair lazily. "What aboutttt..." he started, a thoughtful expression on his face. "What about the room of r--AAAHHH!" BAM!

He fell. He leaned too far back, and fell flat on the floor. Clumsy!Brae strikes again.
Caroline was in the kitchens trying to figure out what she wanted to eat. She missed dinner because she had been working on her Potions homework, she actually fell asleep at her desk working on it. She had a small lunch french onion soup, that was long gone. She sat on the counter as the little elves gather around offering her food ideas.

When she heard a bam and turned and saw a brown-haired boy laying on the floor, "Braeden? She laughed a little bit and jumped off the counter and ran over to the boy "First I fall in the fountain, then you flip over in your chair. We really need to stop meeting like this. She put her hand out to help him up.

"Not sure Sabel would be too keen on it, but it would be interesting," Lexi said with a little smile. Sabel was definitely cut from a different cloth so to speak.

Rolling her eyes Lexi said, "Of course you do. Most people that give me a chance see that I am not the little monster that some think I am." Lexi sighed at the plate and called a house elf over and asked him to wrap it all up so she could take it back to the common room and eat later.

"Neptune, I am sorry to run out on you like this, but I actually promised Sabel that he could do a tarot reading on me for Divination. YOu will have to excuse me," she said politely as she slid off of the stool. "I am serious about hanging out again sometime. I enjoyed having a female to talk to about my problems. Sabel is a tad judgmental sometimes," she said with a giggle.

Owwww. Braeden was sure he had died. His head felt like it might just burst any second, that can't possibly be normal! Perhaps he wasn't dead yet, but he was in the process of going over to the other side for, right at that moment as he opened his eyes, a pretty blonde girl was approaching him, her voice echoing in his ears. Oh yeah. He was dead now. Either that, or he had hit his head too hard and started hallucinating.

The boy, still on the floor, blinked a couple times before realizing that he wasn't imagining things; this wasn't just any random girl, it was Caroline! Oh Merlin, this wasn't an embarrassing way to meet with her at all.

Giving a sheepish chuckle at her words, the Gryffindor boy took the hand she offered and got up to his feet, returning to his tall lanky height of six feet. "I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy; higher forces must be against us," said Braeden as he flashed Caroline one of his goofy smiles before awkwardly releasing her hand. He picked up the chair that had fallen along with him and proceeded to sit on it. Normally this time. "What brings you here?" he asked as he stuffed his face with french bread. Braeden was the epitome of table manners.

Caroline laughed when she seen Braeden laying on his back looking up at her. She hoped that they wouldn't have to go back to the Hospital Wing. She lifted him up as to stood up. She squeezed his hand a bit. He was nearly a foot taller than her. She felt like a midget compared to him. She sat down in the chair beside him, as he sat his chair back. "Potions homework, I was working on it, and went to sleep, slept right thorugh dinner, and I just had soup for lunch, why are you here?"

Braeden nodded his head slightly as he listened to Caroline explain how she had ended up in the kitchen, all the while continuing to stuff his face with all sorts of sweets and treats the elves had brought him earlier. "Merlin. How do you survive a whole night without dinner?!" asked a wide-eyed Braeden. Clearly, food was very important to him. As it was to pretty much every teenage boy out there.

As Caroline then asked what he was doing there, Braeden flashed her a smile and shrugged. "I didn't really get to have dinner either," he explained. "Or lunch. So a trip to the kitchens was mandatory."
