She walked along the edge of the Slythie table hunting away, but it was even more covered up than her table. Wow, were there always this many peeps?....
She glanced up and down the table and wondered if she should ask if anyone could point her towards Iris or Arron. She stopped quickly before stepping on a firstie that ran in front of her.
Iris looked away from Zoey when she saw a mass of purple fighting her way through the First Years. "Satine! Over here!" Iris scooted up and made room for her to sit next to her.
So... She'd seen all of her friends now, except for Aaron... Iris sighed sadly. He was on the train with them, where could he be?

Slytherin. From what Evangeline knew, she'd guessed that she would be in Slytherin, or Ravenclaw. So with a small smile, she walked confidently over to her house table, thinking about whether she'd met anyone in Slytherin yet. She didn't think so.
"Mind if I sit here?" She asked a girl who looked around her own age, and sat down before she answered.
Iris looked away from her Purple-haired friend when a polite sounding girl asked to sit with her. "Of course not!" She smiled brightly, and scooted back a little, so that the girl could sit down next to her. "I'm Iris... One of the Slytherin Prefects."

Iris looked to the doors, then to the Staff dias. This was really beginning to worry her now. Aaron wasn't coming... She knew it. She just didn't know why. But Iris didn't like it...
Oh great. Their head of house.
Zoey blinked in shock. "I... what?!" She set them on fire?! Oh yeah, now she was dreading potions. There was no way that was legal. England was crazy. Nuff said.
Well, hopefully none of the other teachers set fire to their students on a daily basis.

Iris burst out laughing at Zoey's reaction. "Don't worry, kid. She only did it once.... a few years ago when she first started." Smile. "It was punishment... or a demonstration. Possibly both, I'm not sure."
The prefect had probably really freaked Zoey out now... Hopefully she'd still go to Potions, though.

See that?
That, is why she sorta was enjoying Finn's company. He didn't talk much. Or at least to her, which she didn't care all that much. Seems like he was busy with some other girl who couldn't keep her hands off him.
Bwahaha.

Hearing their Head of House's name, except not from a student, Evelyn's gaze turned the other way to see who it had been. However, the smile was suddenly wiped from her face when she did.
That didn't keep the smirk from slightly forming in it's place. "You mean completely awesome?" she asked, before clearing her throat and...well tried to look neutral. Well? Slytherins were awesome, so obviously, they had to act so. Just one of the many traits of a Slytherin. "I hope you have a pleasant evening Professor."

Looking at them, she decided that they were the type of people she wanted to get in good with. They were older and seemed more in the know than most people she'd met. They even had some mysterious, powerful-looking man smiling at them!
...and the fact that they were both introducing themselves was a really good start for Sierra. Ahh, so Ev's name really was Evelyn. Sierra started to try and strike up a conversation about what year the girls were in, but her attention was once again drawn away from the conversation and towards that same mystery man she'd been looking at before. Apparently, she should know who he was. Was he really that well-known and powerful? Awesome!
Her eyes grew slightly wider as Evelyn instructed her to never ask who this man was again. Eeep! Who was this man?! "The greatest professor and person ever?" she repeated. "Please tell me he's a former Slytherin..." He had to be, though. Just had to be. He had that presence about him.
She'd ask what he taught, but she figured Evelyn would tell her she should have never asked that question either...

"I was talking about Truebridge silly. You didn't actually think I meant LaFlame did you?" Heck she didn't even see that woman anywhere around. Maybe Truebs was back to be their HoH and LaFlame wouldn't be back this term. Oh how sweet life would be if that were true.
Just as she was about to get up and head over to Truebridge someone else joined them. "Hey Sal, what's in the box?" Oh so that's what the little girls name was... Sierra. And now she knew what was in the box. Cookies. They looked like the ones that crazy little Gryffindork girl was always handing out. What was her name... Krummi or something like that.
"Who's that?" she asked as if she expected everyone to know who Truebridge was. "That's Professor Truebridge, the best Head of House Slytherin has ever had. I hope and pray that he's back to be Head of House again. That would be so awesome." And if he wasn't, well she was still going to go to him with all her concerns and problems. No way would she talk to LaFlame about anything.
A big smile crossed her face when her favorite prefect arrived. However it sort of disappeared when he only acknowledged the little snakette sitting with them. Oh, so it appears that Evan knew the girl too. It seems the little one has been making her rounds with getting to know the boys. Oh well, at least she was getting to know the right ones. Once Evan was done introducing himself to Sierra she couldn't help but be just a tad bit obnoxious. "Hey there Prefect Evan Cartright, I'm Marie Salazar... your best friend... remember me?" Okay, so she knew he remembered her, she just wanted to make sure he didn't forget her or the fact that she was friends with his girlfriend and would therefore be keeping an eye on him.
Ohhh, another prefect had come to join them, and this one acknowledged that she was sitting there. "Hey Finn." She said smiling up at him. "Sorry about running off on the train. I wanted to make sure Mia was alright." Then it hit her... he knew Evelyn's name. "You two know each other?" she asked looking between her best friend and her boyfriends best friend. Her boyfriend that still wasn't at the feast. Where was that boy?
Her attention was suddenly brought back to the little snakette sitting across from her, next to Evelyn. Right, Sierra, so she had heard from the boys. "Hello Sierra Greingoth, I'm Marie Salazar. Nice to meet you." Wait, what was she saying? Since when did she like meeting little kids? Eh, she couldn't take it back now... could she? She would just wait until the kid proved that she wasn't good enough to be friends with the She-Snakes.
So Sierra did know Evelyn. Or at least knew of her. It seemed Evelyn had a story to tell Marie later. She grinned over at Ev upon hearing something about a crazy shopkeeper. Yes, definitely a story worth hearing she was sure... but later. Right now she had to explain to yet someone else just who Ethan Truebridge was.
Looking over at the professor then back at Sierra she smiled. "As I have already said, Professor Truebridge is and was the best Head of House Slytherin has ever had." Well in her days at Hogwarts anyway. "If we are lucky enough maybe we will find out that he is once again our Head of House." And possibly the new potions professor.
Hearing Evelyn ask Salander if he was crazy she couldn't help but giggle. Of course the boy was crazy... he was friends with Lexi, or so it appeared that way on the train.
"Yeah, so I heard. Seems the little snakette here has been making friends with some of the boys already." She said when Ev told her who Sierra was. It was obvious that this little girl wasn't a shy one. Not if she was already interacting with the older students. Whatever happened to the little kids being scared of the big kids?
O____O
Say it wasn't so. She was NOT seeing Professor LaFay entering the Great Hall and she was not seeing her come over to their table.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
This was NOT what she wanted to see. She wanted to see and hear that Professor Truebridge was once again their head of house.
She looked back over to Truebs. Well at least he was there as a professor... right? She knew she could go to him for anything. He wouldn't just leave them to Lafay when he was around. He would be there when she needed him... right? You know, like Lawson had always been there for her. Well he was still there for her, just in a different way now.
She really should go over and welcome Truebridge back... unless he was going to be coming their way, then she would welcome him back from the table.
Maybe she would just wait and see what Evelyn wanted to do.
Hmm, she supposed she should have thought of Truebridge first. Hehe, well, of course they can go welcome him back! But, it seemed he was a bit busy, now with all the other students talking to him and then Lafay was here and...
Well...
"He seems kinda busy." she muttered, leaning forward on the table before glancing to Marie. "Nooo, I didn't think you meant Lafay." Pfft. Okay, that was a total lie. But they could always give him a better greeting after the feast when he wasn't distracted with a million other students.
And it seemed Marie already answered Sierra's question. However, might as well make sure Sierra got that in her brain. "Yea, he was a Slytherin, and our Head of House at one time. Though, from the looks of it Marie, he isn't going to be it again." At least not this term, and she really did try to keep her voice down. At least since two of their professors were standing right nearby.
Hmm? Glancing away from both Truebridge and Lafay, Evelyn stared at Marie for a moment before turning her gaze to Sierra. Huh, she hadn't even noticed who the girl had been talking to. Evan for one and...who else?
"Uh huh...she was also talking to the dog earlier." Mmhmm, did Marie know that? They needed to fix that.

Sierra's attention was drawn away from the two professors when she heard Marie speaking to her. "Oh, good to meet you, too, Marie," she responded. Although, truth be told, for some reason she'd expected a slightly difference response from Marie. Maybe it was because Marie was much older than she was, and Sierra had imagined most of the older students wouldn't want to really talk with her. She was glad, though, that Marie and Evelyn had decided to after all.
Oh, so maybe Lafay wasn't the Head of House. The way Marie talked, there just might be a chance Truebridge, as she now knew him to be named, was the actual Head of House. Confused as to who was who, Sierra glanced back and forth between Lafay and Truebridge. "I see," she commented. "I guess we'll find out soon enough."
Hopefully, at least. Sierra really needed to learn the names and titles of all the professors--those at the house table and the fifteen or so up at the staff table.
...Little Snakette? Was that a name for her?! There was that word again--little, but somehow when it was paired with the word snakette, it became much more tolerable. ...and of course she'd been making friends with all of the boys. A person could never have too many Slytherin friends. You never know when you might need a favor from one of them, after all.

Suddenly, Sierra got the feeling that she'd once again done the wrong thing. Although, this time, apparently, she'd been talking to the dog. Who was the dog, though?! Let's see, since she got here, she'd only been talking to Evelyn, Marie, Evan, Salamander, and...
...oh. So that was why Evelyn had been staring her down earlier! She'd been talking to that weird boy who'd randomly walked up to her and proclaimed that her mother would make a marvelous Minister of Magic. "I wasn't talking to the dog," she declared. "The dog was talking to me." Had she really just called another student a dog? Yes, apparently she had. Where had that come from? Ohh, the influences she would soon get. "He randomly walked up to me and proclaimed that my mother would make a great Minister of Magic. I'm not even sure who he is or how he even knows my mum." She paused for a second then added, "I only replied to try and figure out who it was that randomly knew her."
She felt the need to defend herself, mainly because she was surely not going down for some dog! Or, someone who was known as a dog, at least.

Hecate entered and moved toward the staff table... passing by the Slytherin table.
So the rumor was true... Ethan Alexander 'Call me Zan' Truebridge was back. Hecate rolled her eyes. She needed to watch her back... especially after what she pulled her first term teaching. Professor or no... He was still a Slytherin.
"Lafay's eyes are everywhere" Hecate said approaching the Slytherin Table. "And you, child, need to watch your step." She said coldly.
"I hope you are all behaving as Slytherins should." She said to the table.
Lafay's words went deep into the spine of the second year Slytherin. His dark eyes flew to hers, and widened slightly. "Of course, Professor. Of course. Not another step out of line."
That was all that needed to be said... most likely. Lafay wasn't one for chit-chat.

Iris looked away from Zoey when she saw a mass of purple fighting her way through the First Years. "Satine! Over here!" Iris scooted up and made room for her to sit next to her.

Iris looked away from her Purple-haired friend when a polite sounding girl asked to sit with her. "Of course not!" She smiled brightly, and scooted back a little, so that the girl could sit down next to her. "I'm Iris... One of the Slytherin Prefects."
"Ah, prefect. I suppose I should be on my best behavior then, shouldn't I?" She asked with a smirk. "Evangeline Benford." She said, glancing around at the Great hall with interest. It was pretty cool, really. Just totally different from what she was used to.
Alex laughed and thought about it for a second. Going up there and doing some ballerina moves was just not an option, although it would be good to have someone do his homework in that particular subject. "No man, ain't going to happen." he grinned. Although he wanted Hyun to do his homework. Hm, perhaps he could ask him later on using his puppy eyes. Hehe, wonder if thos worked on all his friends. Hmm.
Oh it was good they weren't going to try out for the same position. Because well that wouldn't be fun. "We have to win the quidditch cup this year." he mused. Even if he didn't make the team. Slytherin had to have it.
He shrugged looking at the students surrounding them. All they did was talk and eat. "Nope I think that's pretty much it." he said. Although they should enjoy that night, they didn't have to worry about homework or studies yet.
Dianna decided to move around a bit and randomly sat next to this boy who seemed to be in a deep conversation with someone. Deciding not to be rude she tapped his shoulder and said, "Hey, you don't mind if I sit here do you?" she said while flashing a smile. It was nice to be back at Hogwarts (for the third time) again and Dianna decided to make more... friends.
She also noticed Professor Lafay walking around and decided to greet her. She was in fact a third year and have known her for the past 2 terms here at Hogwarts. Hopefully the Professor still remembered her... "Hello Professor." she said with a smile.
Here I come to save the day! Sorry for being inactive all weekend.

Aaron entered the Great hall. He was probably last into the hall. He was bombarded by a bunch of kids who wanted to be on the Slytherin team.... Okay, that's not true. But that's a better excuse than 'I was locked inside the train bathroom and left my wand in the compartment.'
Anyway, he made his way down the Slytherin table, as he always did, and, like, always found Iris... Like always. But, she was laughing her butt off. Which is not what happens, usually. The captain just slid into the seat next to her, and played with his thumbs until she turns around and sees him.

HMM.
Just as everyone around the Slytherin table was, Lamar was interested by the man that had made an appearance. Truebridge eh? Although Lamar saw Lafay as the boss... he wanted to know more about this man.
Was that... former Head of House he heard?
Oh the drama...
Sliding to the right of some older girl and a younger one (Marie and Sierra), Lamar's raised brows gave away his sense of curiosity. "Who exactly is that man?" Lamar demanded, pointed toward Truebridge. "And why is everyone so fussed about it."
Crossing his arms, the second year stole a sip from the girls Goblet.

Staring, she'd gathered, was much like smiling at someone. You just never knew what they were thinking. Especially with Slytherins. This man, she'd decided, was definitely a former Slytherin. Deciding to play it cool, she lifted the corners of her lips just a little before casually saying, "Hello, professor."
This was her, wasn't it? The Slytherin Head of House, Professor Hecate Lafay? Yes, Sierra already knew her name, but only because her father apparently knew the woman and had previously told Sierra a little about her. He'd been so sure his daughter would be a Slytherin, and Sierra couldn't wait to write him and tell him he'd been, of course, right all alone.
She watched the woman as she made her way down the house table, rolling her eyes and warning children to watch their step. That was exactly what he father had said he liked the most about Professor Lafay--her no-nonsense attitude and the fact that she was Slytherin right to the core.
Awesome!
She turned and saw another child staring. Ok, what was it with the staring! She saw her mother in the kid. Great. This kid better be like Alexander and not at all like Bella. "What is it?" She asked coldly.

After a good ten minutes of laughing at Zoey's reactions, Iris sighed, and finally managed to stop the laughter. "Don't worry, though... seriously. She's not as bad as I'm making out."
... Lies.

Anyway, he made his way down the Slytherin table, as he always did, and, like, always found Iris... Like always. But, she was laughing her butt off. Which is not what happens, usually. The captain just slid into the seat next to her, and played with his thumbs until she turns around and sees him.
Iris glanced away from Zoey when she felt someone sit down next to her.
"AARON!"
... That was loud.
"Where HAVE you been?!" she said, pulling him into a big hug. They were a good half an hour into the Feast... but Iris was acting like she'd not seen Aaron in months.
Pulling out of the hug, Iris looked at him, that same worried frown on her face, "Really... what took you so long?"

Reason: Adding in Satine.
This little girl was staring now. "What is it." She asked annoyed.
Her eyes meeting the professors, she tilted her head slightly, "Hmmmm, just fascinated, by how fearful some of the children seem." she said quite bluntly. She spoke her mind, that's just how she was. Maybe being the spoiled only girl in the family of boys helped.
Her eyebrow lifting at the professor, she smirked a little at the woman. She had just a hunch she'd get along quite nicely with her.

Well speak of the Devil...
Just as Satine asked Iris, in walked Aaron himself. She held up her hand for him to high five as he walked by towards Iris. "Hey there stranger! Where have you been? Everyone's been asking about you...I mean you are the all -mightly Quidditch captain of the Snakers." she said teasingly at him.

"Nice to meet you Evangeline. So, is this your first year here? I've not seen you before."

Zoey took another minute to blink rapidly before raising an eyebrow. Pffft, yeah, riiiiight.
Oh and here came Mr. Boyfriend!
Oooooh, he had a shiny badge too! So they were both important! Except his shiny badge was different. Whatever, it was still shiny. And then came the giggles. She stuffed the sleeve of her rather baggy robes in her mouth and bit down on it to stop laughing.
Heh. Boyfriend. *inhale* Deeeep Breaths... Okay, all good now.
Iris grinned and hugged Satine. Then she laughed at her words. "Yeah... it is, just a bit." As Satine asked what was going on. "Oh, not much. Just catching up with everyone. How've things been at your end of the Great Hall?" She asked, with a giggle.
When Satine brought up Aaron, Iris frowned and shook her head. "I've not seen him since the train, no..."
"O you know it's ummm...well really blue..We don't really have too many visitors at our table right now just blue..." she said pointing at the Ravvie patch on her robes and giggling.
Satine turned towards the door and saw Aaron walking up..."Well there he is...he must've got caught up by all his Quidditch fans begging for his autography..." she said teasingly as he walked towards them.
Iris smiled and grinned. " ... Only when I'm around." She said, with a small smirk. She didn't expect any of her Snakes to be good all the time. Pfft, heck no. They'd be Hufflepuff's if that were the case.

"I'l keep that in mind," Evangeline noted. She was beginning to like this girl already, which was something for Evangeline.
"Indeed. I just moved here from America this summer, in fact." She said to Iris. "I'm still trying to get used to everything being really different here." She said. "I'm in sixth year, this year. Yourself?"

"Yes! I personally think they are the most important! That will be awesome when you get in" Meredith smiled. She really hoped Katie would make it! It would be awesome to see her out there! She smiled just thinking about it. "Unfortunately yes, i have ridden a broom many times before. It always ends in bruises. :/" She sighed. "Thanks though. I guess i will try again sometime soon."
Satine was relieved to hear her name. She soon saw the blonde head of her fave Slythie Prefect and made her way that way running through the minefields of firsties.
Finally she made it and plopped down beside Iris, "Howzit! Man the Slythie table is hopping today." she said taking in a deep breath and smiling her sparkling smile. "So what's new on this end of the Great Hall?" she asked glancing over a sea of green and yellow and just barely spotting her Ravie Table.
She looked around at the peeps surrounding Iris, "Have you seen Aaron yet? I haven't seen him at all." she asked cocking her right eyebrow up.
Aaron noticed Satine. "Hi!" He said cheery to her with a big over enthusiastic smile and wave. That's someone the boy hadn't seen since that day in Diagon Alley weeks ago. He would have given her a hug, but that would involve standing back up, disturbing the balance of the table.

AH!
Iris scared the crud out of Aaron, and suddenly he was in a hug. He didn't even have time to answer because of the shock he was in. "Relax, will you?" he finally said with a laugh. The Captain looked to both Iris and Satine.
"Prepare to make fun of me... As you know..." He started towards Iris before looking to, well, anyone else who would pay attention. "I went to the bathroom right before we got to Hogwarts because I am lazy when changing into my school robes. So, while I'm changing, I can feel the train stop. I think, 'Oh crap... I have to get out!' So I finish changing, gather up my clothes and reach for the door..." Here's where it gets interesting...
"So, right before I open the door someone slams into it BENDING the lock. I try opening the door, but no luck. So I figure, 'I'll just magic my way out of it,' so I reach into my robe for my wand. But guess what??? It's not there! I check the pants I changed out of. Not their either!!! Then I remember I put it into my trunk before changing. SO NOW... I'm stuck in the bathroom, door jammed, CAN'T get out. Until FINALLY, some first year, LAST on the train, hears me banging on the door. Together, we open the door and I FINALLY get out. I gather my things, and BARELY make the carriages..."Here comes the laughter, Aaron braced himself.
Yikes! I go to sleep for a few hours and come back to 8 pages of posts

Her family. There was a story in itself. "My family is...well there are no words to really describe them. Mum was in Hufflepuff. Dad was in Gryffindor. They don't work because they took and early retirement plan. So I guess thats it in a nutshell." She took another bite of food and swallowed. "What about your family?" He was going to be a good friend. The next seven years didn't seem so scary now.
Tyrone couldn't help but chuckle at the girls answer. He too couldn't see the images in the stars. "Don't worry, you're not alone there. Although, I like to make up my own images in the stars sometimes. Especially on nights that I can't sleep." He gave Jamie was was fast becoming his trademark grin.
His family was something that he didn't talk about too often. but that was because he never had someone to talk to. "Well, Father was educated at Durmstrang, but moved here in his twenties. He's a little up-tight, but after an easy day at work he can be pretty cool. Mother was educated somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere. She won't tell me which country, or school. Even Father doesn't know where she comes from. All we know is that she moved here to escape her family and met Father not long after. She's always trying to smother me with her love and gets me what ever I want if I ask for it. I'm the first in our family to come to Hogwarts and I've been told to set the bar high for my little sister in a few years. And, that's about it." He grinned again and swore that it was indeed his new trademark.

Flora seemed confident, that was for sure. Tyrone smiled at her, "Tyrone Dove, first year." he didn't know why he added in the 'first year' bit, it just seemed like the right thing to say. "Please, take a seat. We don't bite. Much" the 'much' was said under his breath, but loud enough to just be heard by those in the immediate vicinity.

Satine waved back at Aaron and then focused in on his story. She just smiled a huge smile at the end trying not to laugh. I mean it wasn't really funny but it was just something that would happen to Aaron and no one else.
"Well, I'm glad you got out...how horrible if they'd found you when they got back to....well got back to wherever they keep the Express in off season..." she said with a questioning look on her face..."But the real question is...who is this firstie Knight in shining Armor that saved the day?" she said with a wink.
Wide-eyed, Claire entered the Great Hall. Even though her brother had told her all about Hogwarts, she hadn't even imagined something this amazing. It was just so... magical. Looking around, she waved at her brother, then sat down randomly at the table. As she sat she wondered about what would happen, and who she could possibly be friends with. It sounded lame, but even in a place as amazing as this, being alone all of the time could get depressing. And as she sat and thought, the table was getting more and more full, filling with students of all ages. Some people who really stood out she recognized from Diagon Alley. Maybe she should talk to them....
