Back at Durmstrang if anyone would give away free cookies you were bound to have been jinxed when you ate them, so it wasn't a wonder why Hyun was suspisious about it all. Besides, you won't see Hyun walking around, giving cookies to everyone. He shivered at as the image crossed his mind and he quickly grabbed a goblet from the table to pour in some juice trying to focus on pouring in the juice in the goblet rather than imagining himself as a nice sweet guy.
Why? Kurumi had never really stopped to think about why she baked cookies for others. Truth be told, it was probably because she baked so often that there was no possible way she could eat them all on her own. Then again, there were her Japanese roots coming through and her mother's nagging voice telling her that she should be polite and bring gifts to honor the start of something new. Both seemed like responses that would raise Hyun's eyebrows. Still, Kurumi gut instinct was telling her a different answer. "To say thank you," she said simply as the ends of her lips curled into a smiled. Hyun probably had no idea the meaning behind those words and Kurumi wasn't even sure she was going to be able to explain it herself.

He was bored and needed some action...or just a comfortable bed? ..naaaah not now. Alex laughed and thought about it for a second. Going up there and doing some ballerina moves was just not an option, although it would be good to have someone do his homework in that particular subject. "No man, ain't going to happen." he grinned. Although he wanted Hyun to do his homework. Hm, perhaps he could ask him later on using his puppy eyes. Hehe, wonder if thos worked on all his friends. Hmm.
Oh it was good they weren't going to try out for the same position. Because well that wouldn't be fun. "We have to win the quidditch cup this year." he mused. Even if he didn't make the team. Slytherin had to have it.
He shrugged looking at the students surrounding them. All they did was talk and eat. "Nope I think that's pretty much it." he said. Although they should enjoy that night, they didn't have to worry about homework or studies yet.

Nai glared at the boy "I'll have you know,idiot, that I'm friends with the Head Boy and if you continue to act like that, I'm going to to tell a professor or to him and they'll give you punishment. Hopefully detentions by hanging you upside down. Then maybe some blood will finally get to your brain." She clenched her jaws, finally taking her teenager-ness out on a power trip.
Lamar simply looked at the girl with an expression of boredom. "To be honest, I am more scared of a dead flobberworm than I am of you at the moment." Taking a sip from his Goblet, his icy dark eyes flew back to the girl.
"OH, and let me fill you in on a secret. No one likes a tattle-tale."
With that, the second year went back to his meal. No time for silly girls picking fights... he had bigger fish to fry? Well, he really didn't. But he thought he did.

Trixie smiled at the new arrival at the Slytherin table, another, judging by the wya she entered, running whilst still rushing to get dressed properly, the Blonde couldn't help but to let out a small chuckle as she watched her. "Your not late, your perfectly on time in fact" the seventeen year old informed her, smiling softly, still slightly fakely, her mood had improved but she was still upset, missing people terribly. "And even if you were, I wouldn't tell anyone" she winked. "My names Trixie, I'm Head Girl" she held out her hand for a polite handshake.
"Hi Trixie." She shook her hand and smiled "Good to know I have authority on my side. Would be a first "I met the Head Boy on the train, he's cool."

At the moments like these Damian wished she could take the ring off. But she couldn't. It was like a curse, worse than losing a leg in a fight... even though she didn't know how it was to lose a leg. "It's nothing like that... Damian said to the boy as she didn't want him to get the wrong idea. " I was guided by a spell that was cast by an impressive wizard. He just showed what he knew... what he'd seen, what he'd owned... the last one is complicated..." She could never let anyone find out where she came from... Damian's thoughts smashed against her head as she heard Simon pronounce "Sorting Hat" and "Gryffindor"... "Why the hell would it do that?!"

It seemed like they had reached that part of the feast. She had gotten the chance to get reacquainted with some of her fellow Hufflepuffs, and now it was time to meet some people from the different houses. She strolled over to the Slytherin table, looking for one of her friends, or maybe even someone new.

Damian smiled at Simon once more but this time as friendly as she'd never smiled before. "You know... I could use a friend in this house with a mindset of a true Slytherin... if you know what I mean."
Fallon smiled at Evan. "Yep. You never did get to meet my little brother..." Oh well. There was always the holidays. Maybe she could have people over seeing as her dad already said that he wanted her home for them. "So how have you been since the last time we spoke?"
Then she saw the look he was giving her. She also noticed that he had seen her looking at Finn. Uh oh. She was caught by someone that was not Iris. Great. Fallon knew that look on his face. He wanted to know what was up with her. She just blushed deeper. She didn't want anyone but Iris to know about this right now. She had a feeling that wasn't going to stop Evan though.
Evan's mouth dropped open in rememberance and regret when Fallon mentioned her brother. Riiight... they were going to meet, weren't they? But then somehow he could never see her again... Aww... now he felt awful for missing that opportunity. Maybe he could get to see him in Christmas? Please? Though, he'd be off in France... next summer, it seemed.
"Yeah," he said as he shook his head. "For next summer, I guess..." If SHE was still going to be here, that is. Hopefully she was.
He gave a mischievous smile. "Okay, I get it," he said with a small bow of his head. Shooting another look at Finn to make sure he was busy with that Slytherin girl, he whispered "That you have a crush on him." Hehe. He could see it in her eyes, and in that blush. He was handsome too, so go Fallon! Hehe.

It wasn't that Sierra hated those classes, but she just hadn't had much experience with them yet. Especially Muggle Studies. It probably wasn't a very easy class for a pure-blooded witch. "Are those classes usually pretty hard?"
Evan smiled at the girl and her enthusiasm. She was so sweet and so little! Hehe. He wondered if he was so little like her... probably yes... but he couldn't imagine himself like that. She looked so small compared to the older kids. Hehe.
Older sister did she say? Maybe she was in Hogwarts too? Hmm... he'd definitely ask about that later. "Sure, doing magic is always fun," he replied. "Especially on--" Oh. Not people of course, and definitely not on siblings even though they were super-annoying. "--objects. Hehe." He had to drink some water after that, and as she went on, got himself a glass.
He frowned slightly in surprise as she mentioned the classes she wouldn't go. "Why not them?" he asked after gulping down the water, though he got his answer in her next question. "No, well yes, arithmancy and divination are hard, for me anyway. I've practically failed in those OWLs." Ahem. This was something he did NOT want to talk about. "But Muggle Studies is so much fun. We always get to do interesting stuff, and the professors never ask too detailed questions." Because here was obviously wizards' school, and they wouldn't know much about Muggles' world. "And ancient runes... it depends. If you like to, really study..." But then she would be in Ravenclaw. Nooo. She was good here. Hehe.

He was happy in his question-free zone, and he would get to meet people eventually... through the end of the feast. But now he had to stand up with her and answer questions. Hmpf. Guess that was what that shiny badge required, it certainly was more than a decoration and authority.
"Alright, I'll help you..." he half-grunted, and then looked for someone to help/answer question/anything. He was about to greet someone when he heard the rest of her half-speech. He turned to her suddenly, and saw... sadness? longing? or was it regret? He opened his mouth to ask her if she wanted to talk about it, but then again, who was he? They'd just met, and he barely knew her other than she could multi-task perfectly. Watching her for a while more, he finally found the right words: "I do mind. What's it?" That was better than directly offering his shoulder to cry on or anything... Yeah. And he meant them.

Benjamin looked at the bone and decided to give it to him once he found him.
"Are the owls already being taken to the owlery tower, or do we do that ourselves?"
Benjamin Trevors, Benjamin Trevors... the prefect repeated in his mind. He was bound to forget some of the names though, and he hoped it wouldn't be any of the firsties. Pouring himself some pumpkin juice, he nodded at Benjamin. Wow, so his grandfather was a student of Snape! That was so cool! "Apparently, my family sent their children out to other schools after the rise of Voldemort," he said with a shrug. It was dark times, of course they would protect their children. "While they remained here. But my... grand-grand father? Got to be a student of Snape too, and be in the same class as Harry Potter. He always used to tell my father about those times." That was so cool, to be in the same class with the Trio! Evan shook his head to get back to reality.
"Well, Lafay pays too much attention, you see," he said with a small laugh. How he hated her when she'd evaporated his half-done potions, claiming his spoon was dirty while it was fairly clean... and this year he was her prefect. Amazing.
He burst out the pumpkin to the table when he told the story of study sessions with his father. "W-what?!" he asked involutarily, even though he didn't want to hear it again. Whipping your OWN child! He visibly shuddered at the thought. "That's--why--Oh God!" It took him a few minutes to calm down, and even longer to erase that image. The words were there though, and they'd sticked to his mind. Merlin! Thank God he had such a civil family, and he wasn't even judging The Trevors here!
After conjuring many napkins to clean the table and himself--he could have just performed some cleaning charm, but this way was longer and it kept his mind preoccupied--he finally had the courage to ask.
"What did he do?" he asked. He wasn't even sure he wanted to hear that, but curiosity and worry got better of him. Poor child, at the age of only eleven!
He blinked at the last question, and had to take a few minutes again to process it. It was so odd thing to ask after God-knows-what pains. "I--yeah, I think so. House elves are hard-working like that."
The corner of Lulu's smile twitched, her efforts to remain calm faltering. There was just too many cooties pheromones being exuded by the Rooster Prefect. The entire air was heavy with the smell of stench of boy talk that Lulu felt positively nauseous.
Pulling away, since there was no point in dying for Ara, Lulu Patterson placed two hands on the base of her neck.
"Oh. So. Dis-Gus-Ting," she spat through clenched teeth as her brown eyes rolled to the back of her head. Lulu stuck out her tongue and gagged loudly (and obnoxiously). "Get a dungeon, you two!"
And stay in there! Eternally!

Wouldn't want her losing the attention she so obviously wanted. Yeah....he'd give her lots of attention.
Disgusting? Finlay laughed, as he watched the girl. He didn't even know her name. haha. Maybe he should introduce himself. Get a dungeon? Mmm. He didn't really fancy thaat, because well they were cold right? "I'm good....I already have a tower." Yeah. Cause he was ravenclaw right? They lived in a tower?
Ara heard the little girl voice again. She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "That's Lulu," she spoke to Finlay with a sigh. "She says and thinks that all boys are yucky, icky and dookie heads." Her words exactly. "Obviously we do not believe in the same thing. I mean, I love flirting with boys, though you are the best of them." It was okay to give him a big head because, after all, he deserved it.
"Honestly, I believe she will come around one day, though not any time soon and not while at Hogwarts." Someone did her wrong for Lulu to believe such terrible things about boys, or at least that was what she was going to tell herself. They were sweet and cute and...the right ones were just so popular and Ara took mental notes as to how many girls paid attention to Finn. She was a lucky girl.
Damian smiled at Simon once more but this time as friendly as she'd never smiled before. "You know... I could use a friend in this house with a mindset of a true Slytherin... if you know what I mean."
Willow passed the Slytherin table as she made her way down from the sorting hat. She paused as she spotted Damian there.
"Hi!" She said loudly. She then realised Damian was talking to someone and flicked her beetroot hair over her face. "Er...Grrr..." She muttered trying to sound aggressive. She sounded like she had dementia.
"Yeah I don't think it would exactly be a good idea if I got in trouble, do you?" she asked giggling a little. it wouldn't look good with the badge. "But we could do it one weekend, or if your not found before it gets dark, abandon game and go back to it" she suggested.
Gah now she missed her horses as well. HMPH. "Just let me know if you did want to come visit them? I'd take you out for a ride up the mountains" she informed her.
Hardly anyone knew of her veganism. Heck most of the Professors didn't even know about it. "Yeah, I have been for a very long time, its just something I feel passionately about" the blonde glanced around. "Oh I'd love too, its somewhere I haven't visited" Although Trix had hardly ever gone anywhere, especially if it was maninly Muggle. She knew hardly anything about them, except what she'd read up.
Fallon eyed the shiny badge on Trixie's robes. "Probably not a good idea at all." She wondered what would happen if Trixie She liked her next suggestion though. "Yeah. Some people may end up quitting after that long though." She knew there were people that couldn't handle stuff like that. They were just party poopers.
Fallon smiled at Trixie. She was glad she was getting to know the older girl. It would be nice to have some more friends. "I'll make sure to do that."
Fallon nodded. She wondered if anyone else knew that Trixie was a vegan. "I've never met a vegan before." Oops. She didn't really mean to blurt that out. Fallon smiled as Trixie accepted her offer. "Great! I could use a shopping buddy. My dad wasn't too keen on it." That had been fun. Dragging her dad to all of those stores.

The prefect turned her head slightly, to try and see where Fallon was looking. There were too many people to be able to single anyone out, though. "Faaaallon... Why're you blushing?" She asked, with a small giggle.
Fallon stuck her tongue out at Iris. "No exceptions." She couldn't wait to have a party! Birthday parties were always great. They had to be the most fun kind of parties that Fallon could think of.
Fallon grinned. "Not really. It's just something I need to talk about." She knew that Iris didn't think something was wrong.
And now Iris was catching her blushing. First Evan. And now Iris. Well, Iris was the person she wanted to talk about this with. Her face got warmer as her blush got deeper. "It has something to do with what I need to talk to you about." That's all Iris was getting out of her right now.

Fallon turned away from Iris as her attention was drawn back to Evan. She could tell that he had completely forgotten about the meeting of her brother. She didn't care. He was the one who'd suggested it.
"Next summer. Or there's always the holidays?" Fallon smiled. She was not going to spend them home alone with her dad and her brother. "Dad's already told me I have to come home for them."
Fallon didn't think she could blush any deeper, but somehow she managed. She didn't think Evan would figure something out like that so quickly. Then again, she had done the same thing when she had a crush on him. "I don't want to talk about this right now. Maybe later." She would tell him and Iris later. Iris sighed, and scanned the length of the table. Then looked to the doors.

Iris hadn't really given that much thought. She just enjoyed some of the classes without thinking about it. "Well... Transfiguration and Charms are what I'm best at. Arithmancy and Runes are always fun... Flying and Potions I don't go to anymore."
Flying, that reminded her! "Zoey, do you fly? If you do, you should try out for the Quidditch Team." She said, simply. Iris hadn't ever been to a Quidditch Tryout. She couldn't fly. Though, she'd been less scared of it since those 'flying' horses in Charms last year. She was going to be there, watching the Tryouts though. For Aaron's sake.
She listened as Iris listed off the classes she liked best. Now that she heard them, she remembered most of them.
Zoey froze when Iris mentioned Quidditch. "Uh, no, I don't." *siiigh* Now that was a long story. She thought back to one winter when she was six years old. The boys down the street had been messing around with a broom when she walked by. They asked her if she wanted to try and they let her give it a go.
Unfortunately for them, they happened to live in a muggle neighborhood. So about five people not only saw her riding the broomstick, but they also saw her fall off.
Nobody was happy about that when they all ended up at the Ministry of Magic.
Damian smiled at Simon once more but this time as friendly as she'd never smiled before. "You know... I could use a friend in this house with a mindset of a true Slytherin... if you know what I mean."
Simon smiled and raised an eyebrow. Oh, he knew what she meant. "So can I." he smirked. Simon stretched his hand for her to shake, as in a deal agreement. Damian was the first person he's met so far with the mindset of a Slytherin. This was going to be interesting.

She could tell, well hoped, this was going to be a good year.

The prefect was really getting agitated now... There wasn't long to go before Tate made the introductions and let them eat. Where on Earth could Aaron have gotten to?!
Looking back to Zoey, Iris tried to think of something to distract her from Aaron. But there was nothing that she could think of.

He stood quietly, just observing. Had they kept their spirit? Had they kept their pride and ambition and not let it waste away like he had found after his return from Azkaban?
More importantly perhaps, had Lafay set any more of them on fire? And why were there so many students from other houses there, interrupting all the green?
Slytherins. Friendly bunch.
So the rumor was true... Ethan Alexander 'Call me Zan' Truebridge was back. Hecate rolled her eyes. She needed to watch her back... especially after what she pulled her first term teaching. Professor or no... He was still a Slytherin.

Fallon laughed slightly at their immaturity. It was fun to be childish, especially with your best friend. Fallon grabbed a glass of water. She needed something to drink.
Fallon tried not to blush more when Iris raised an eyebrow at her. "I so hate the fact that I blush so easily." It always gave her away when she was around a guy she liked. "Sounds like a plan." That way she could talk about it with Iris and possibly Evan since he seemed to be on to her.
She kept noticing Iris's glances toward the doors. Then she realized that Aaron wasn't there yet. "Aaron will be here soon. Don't worry."
