Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Flibbertigibbet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

Kurumi skipped her way down from the girl's dormitory. She had spent the first part of the morning in the kitchens baking with the house elves and then had spent the rest of the morning on her bed putting together a Halloween basket for her fellow Gryffindors.
Smiling and waving to those already in the common room, Kurumi set the basket on a table near the middle of the room.
Deciding it would probably be best to leave a note explaining that there was nothing strange in the cookies. Hey, everyone at the Slytherin table had thought she poisoned the cookies at the opening feast. One could never be too careful. Quote: Here lies the Pillsbury Dough Boy

Kurumi looked up from her book to see a younger Gryffindor that she recognized from the opening feast as well as a few classes. Smiling, she set her book down to her side and scratched Walnut behind the ears as he lay sleeping on her lap. " I-I'm glad you like them," she blushed. " I am often in the kitchens baking...it's...it's a sort of hobby of mine." She put one free hand on her cheek to try and block some of the red. "It's very nice to meet you Nika," she smiled with a slight head bow. " I'm Kurumi, Kurumi Hollingberry and this is Walnut."

Nika said laughing. It was true she has had a few cooking mishaps. Once it was so bad that the fire department had to come to her house. Nika took another bite of her cookie and before she knew it, it was all gone. "I think that was just about the best cookie I have ever eaten." Sure Nika hasn't had too many cookies, but out of the few she has eaten this was the best. Nika's dad was a dentist so she wasn't allowed to have to many sweets, but she was at Hogwarts now so he would never know... "Thank you so much for making them!

"Oh No!" he laughed, "Sorry I didn't mean to laugh, but that's kinda funny. You should write it into the text book as the Sneezing Rune!" he added, "I am sure it would be a hit!"
The male prefect was so thankful for Sophie's understanding, it had made the whole return to Cairo much more pleasent, knowing that they were well represented at school. "My father is a Wiz-Archeologist, meaning he deals with the study and preservation of ancient Magical Communities. He was honoured for his work on the 'Egypt Project'" Patroclus was emmensly proud of his father, his line of work truly was fascinating! "Had any prefect emergancies yet?" Patroclus asked, it was story swapping time!

Nika had asked some other students and surprisingly everyone had something different to reply with. Some liked the library the best while others enjoyed the Quidditch fields most of all.

Adam half limped into the gryffindor common room.
His leg was still somewhat broken but he could still put pressure on it.Quietly he sat down on the red couch and took a depth breath.So much had happened this past week.With him having to reveal the news to his friends he would soon be leaving, and his broken leg, and becoming fake siblings with Selina -life was more than confusing.
He hoped he had someone just to chat with.
