Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Flibbertigibbet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

As day one of tryouts was completed, Simon made his way back up to the common room, his clipboard under his arm. He had been glad with the type of turnout he had gotten and that fact that there had been very few errors. However the quidditch captain knew that in some ways that would make his ultimate decisions more difficult.

And then she would get mad at you. It just didn't make any sense.

This had slipped out of Emily's mouth before she'd realised. She blushed then said "Yeah, I just kept my head down in her lesson and tried to everything right. She's very scary. People called her the dragon lady!"
Emily laughed "I didn't even know all those details! Most was kind of muggle science, asking about what eggs and bran contained."

There had been a mix up in the Broom Shed when she went to go and return the broom she had borrowed. She could not find the correct holder for the broom, it took a good half hour to find it.
Returning from try outs she was mentally going over the try outs in her head. Ever move she had made was being evaluated in her head to see if there was any other way she could have executed them. Although she knew she could not go back and change anything she had done she could always learn from previous work.
As she walked through the Portrait Hole the room was filled with people. Many of whom were at the try outs including the Captain. She was still quite shy around him, although she had been quite chatty at the opening feast. Then again that conversation was to have all of her Quidditch questions answered so she could start to practice.
Pulling her red hair off of her face she smiled at him and waved. He was very nice to her the few times they had talked.
Continuing her way through she saw Heather. No tears or fighting this time. It was a good sign, "Hey Heather."

"Ok.." She nodded. "I think I seriously need that spell." She told him in such a huge interest. She was not a tidy person, plus she hated cleaning up in any way, so this spell would definitely help her a lot. She took a deep breath, withdrew her wand out of her pocket and now ready to cast a spell.
"Are you serious?! Just say it?" She asked nervously, frowned, afraid that it would cause more troubles.
"Well, then, SCORGIFY!" She said the incantation very fast as she flicked her wand. It failed, eventually. "Opps... It's not working is it?" She asked, looked around just in case the room looked cleaner than before. But it didn't after all. | |

Alice walked into the common room and saw that the one girl was practising the scourgify spell. "That's a really useful spell,especially for people like me who tend to make a mess" she said to her while smiling. Alice made the mistake of walking and talking at the same time and she trippped over a pile of books she didn't see. Luckily they didn't break and just had some smudges on them. With a "Scourgify!" she cleaned it and put it back in a pile. "See what I mean?" she laughed.
