She giggled as she saw Lexi's teeth start to chatter. That was the best thing about ice mice!!! Where had Kat been?? "Uhhh... Oh you know here and there. Trying to avoid certain people" She whispered the last part and grinned. Yes she was trying to avoid Stephen. There was something about that boy that told Kat to not mess with him. Buuut being Kat of course she messed with him. Annnnd now she was paranoid. "So what happened to your boyfriend at the feast??" She asked and then she saw she had been talking to someone next to her. And he looked ... sorta down. "Hey is your friend alright?"

Lexi patted Sabel's leg and sighed. He looked defeated regardless of what he said. There was something wrong with him but until he was ready to talk about she couldn't help him. So she would have to settle with trying to cheer him up. Heh.


Lexi looked at Katy from the corner of her eye and started to giggle. She then began to hum loudly, still giggling here and there. Oh she KNEW Katy knew the tune so she turned to her and broke out in song.

She waited for Katy to join in on the chorus. She had begun to sing so loudly that it was FUNNEH! She was not that bad a singer, but without the music to guide her she might be a bit off key. LOL.

Katy was about to say something but the she heard Lexi start humming one of her fav songs!!! EEEEEPPPP!!!! Kat was like The Jonas Brothers number 1 fan so of course she knew the song. Annnd then Lexi started singing it!!! And Kat couldn't help but join in. She got up from the couch and started showing off her AWESOME dance moves. Okay they weren't that awesome. Buuuut they were pretty funny.

After she had finished the chorus of the song she continued humming to keep in beat and also because she wasn't to entirely sure of the rest of the song. There was something about dancing next and something about girls laughing but w.e maybe Lexi knew the rest.

Lexi pumped her fist once in the air when Katy joined her and then OMG... she got up and started to dance. WIN! Lexi jumped off of the couch and began to like kind of flail around a bit and then she jumped to the chair she had recently vacated and began to toss her head from side to side and sing,

Lexi jumped up and down in the chair and continued to toss her head back and forth until her hair fell and started to get tossed back and forth. She was giggling uncontrollably as she waited for Katy to join back in for the chorus!

Cameron meambled her way into the common room - tired, sleepy and moody. She layked her sleep. A lot. She liked her pink pillow and her doona and generally the all round fluffiness of the four poster bed at school. *noms*

So, winding her way around the chairs in a very dazed fashion, she collapsed into one of the chairs by the fire and yawned.

It'd been a long, long day.

Now Kat felt like a Rockstar!! Okay maybe not a Rockstar, but something close to it that did not involve guitars and failed at dancing. So now she started pretending she had drums and was banging on them. Yeap she was that cool to have invisible, nonexistent drums.

And now Kat was officially in Jo Bro mode. Maybe she'd tell her grandma to get her some tickets to one of their concerts. WOOOOOOOOH!!!

Entering the common room with that usual grin on his face, Josh directly made his way towards the armchairs before the fireplace his mouth still full of potatoes. Hehehe. Yes he loved potatoes and he loved eating. What was greater than eating anyway? And was better than potatoes? Hmm maybe chocolate but that was a different type of food so he thought he should not compare them.

Whatever...

Staring at the fire he randomly sat in one of the armchairs aand ended up sitting right next to a girl.

''Oh sorry. I could not see you''

Kurumi, who still just couldn't bring herself to read the last story in the book she had borrowed from Ling. She already needed to talk to Heather a lot up in the dorms before she was going to be able to sleep at night. She decided to put her borrowed book down and cracked the bindings on one of the Japanese books she had brought with her from home. It was kind of nice to take a break from everything magical, although she was itching to try some magic.

When she patted his leg, he thought perhaps, he might get some time alone. Not that it was a particularly good thing, but some time where he didn't have to debate with himself what he was going to say and what he wasn't. That was of course, until they started singing. While one part of him simply wanted peace and quiet, wanted to bury his head under a cushion, the other part of him had to smile softly. To see Lexi and other students laughing and having so much fun, being so full of life and energy, it was a blessing. A blessing he would try and remember, as the year went on.

Closing his eyes, he rested his head back down and listened to them. The off-key notes and the foreign lyrics didn't bother him, simply reminded him that he was still awake in a reality that was far from perfect, but beautiful because of it.

Rex comes in the common room. " May I sit next to you?" Rex asked the firl. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to her." So are you ready for school?" Rex asked her.

Rex accidentally tripped over the girl. "Sorry, I can be clumsy at times" Rex told the girl. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to her. " Do you like the common room?" Rex asked her.

"Well, hello there, my name is Rex Trigwell" he told her."What are you reading?' Rex asked the girl. " The armchairs are comfortable' Rex said to the girl. " I like the couchees better ,but you have to share them with other students" Rex explained to her.

" Hi Katy' Rex called out. " how is my favorite sort of troublemaler?" Rex asked Katy laughing. " You really must like Ice Mice" Rex smiled. "Ready for another term?" Rex asked Katy.

Heather finally reached the gryffindor common room. It took her some time to get there not because the common room was on the seventh floor. she lost her way again and wandered sometime before getting back into a familiar corridor. It was inevitable; the girl has no sense of direction, and having to go up alone was a big sarcastic treat. Why did she even decide to tell kurumi to go ahead to the common room just so she could go to Cassandra to greet a good night?

as she entered, heather immersed herself in the atmosphere of the room and felt that she already liked the place; the chairs greeted her sight and the fire; man, that looked so comfy...then she saw a familiar face. Heather could just cry her eyes out right now. It was kurumi, reading some books.

"k-kurumi!" she called out and slowly approached the girl. she was so tired of running and walking around the castle, trying to look for the common room, it was already evident on her face, yet she tried a smile on so that kurumi would worry less of her. "s-sorry i'm late....and sorry, you had to wait...you see...i.." she bit her lip, nervous and embarrassed to admit she got lost, but heather wanted to tell the truth, and she disliked keeping secrets from friends. "uhm...i got lost...on the way...so.... "she sighed and sat down on a chair beside kurumi. "sorry...i'm just tired...so..." she looked at the books kurumi held. They had japanese lettering. she was quite familiar with such since her dad once brought home a japanese book he barely even lifted to translate and read.

"What's that?" she asked.

Arabella-Marie had just said the password to the fat lady and crawled through the hole and was amazed by the common room it was amazing and she forgot that she was so tired and wanted to head to sleep she looked about and saw that some of her fellow housemates were standing around chatting and she hoped that she would somebody new soon or at least see Ginny or Rubiey the only two gryffindors she knew at the moment

Kurumi looked up from her book to see Heather standing before her a little disheveled. Clearly, she had been walking around for a long time. Probably got lost. Kurumi had insisted that they follow the prefect together, but it couldn't be helped that she wanted to say good night to her friend. "Hi, Heather," she said smiling warmly. "This is the guy I told you about earlier, my friend Adam," she explained pointing to the sleeping red-head beside her on the couch. "He's had a rough day," she signed. "When he wakes up, I'll introduce you two properly." She turned her book over so that Heather could see the kanji tittle of 坊っちゃん clearly. "I'm reading a book called Botchan by one of my favorite writers, Natsumi Soseki. It's about a teacher in the Japanese countryside," she explained as she put her purple ribbon bookmark back in her book. She could keep reading it again later - she wasn't very far in anyway. "You look tired, have a seat." She gestured to an open chair next to the couch.

Heather took the seat and breathed in and out deeply. she looked at Kurumi's friend, Adam who was asleep then back at kurumi. "okay..." she said timidly again. She was hoping that she wouldn't do something embarrassing as soon as Adam wakes up and the both of them are introduced to each other formally. But if kurumi's there, she's confident. Having friends on your side really rocks.

Heather then remembered, she was supposed to introduce Mr. Panda to Kurumi as promised! She stood back up again. "oh, i almost forgot, Kurumi, would you like to meet Mr. Panda now? I'll just go up the dormitory and get him." she beamed. she was also eager to see her doll and hug it tightly, as she had been waiting to do right after the feast.

Oooooh right! Heather had mentioned a stuffed panda. She put her book down on the remaining space there was left on the couch. "Sure, that would be nice," she replied not really sure how one could be introduced to a stuffed animal, but it was things like this that made Heather cute.

"okay!" she almost yelled eagerly, and caught the attention of some people in the room. she didn't mind. she was going to go get her panda doll now and show it to Kurumi. "i'll be right back!" she ran this time, up to the dormitories, but went back when she realized she had gone the wrong way and was going towards the boys' rooms.

"oops...wrong way." she muttered under her breath, embarrassed. she turned to the other way where the stairs leading to the girls rooms were. "h-here it is...be back." she told kurumi and hurried up.

Kurumi couldn't help but giggle. She made a note to herself to double check the routes to every classroom before class so that Heather and her wouldn't get lost.

It felt like home walking in the Gryffindor common room. Everything here felt like home, Daisy thought sitting closest to the fire place.

Arabella-Marie looked about and saw Daisy the girl who had introduced herself at the feast and made her way over to Daisy and said "Hi can i join you Daisy"

Heather ran back down from the dormitories, a very big smile plastered on her face, although she almost tripped (because she accidentally stepped on her robes) she was able to make it towards kurumi, with the big doll around her arms and the letter from her mother and her wand at her hands.

"Here he is kurumi!" she said. "this is Mr. Panda." she said, handing the doll that was about half of heather's size (heather was about 4'9 in height) to kurumi.

"you know, i almost lost him in the train...but it turns out he was sitting right outside the compartment door!" she babbled softly this time after seeing adam flinch a bit but went back to sleep. she sat down, placing the big doll between her and Kurumi.

"by the way, kurumi, this is my wand." she showed the wand she was holding. "it's a phoenix feather with rosewood, soft. what's yours?" she asked, completely forgetting the letter from her mother she was meaning to read with kurumi.

That was on biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig panda. Kurumi had been expecting something...well...smaller. She think she understood why Heather called him Mr. Panda now. She felt as though she had to poke it, you know, to make sure it wasn't a real panda. After further inspection, Kurumi found it to indeed be your typical stuffed animal...just big. "Hello Mr. Panda," she said in her best business voice. "Pleasure to make your acquittance," she said as she shook his paw.

After Heather had shown her her wand, Kurumi reached into the pocket of her robes and pulled out the turquoise velvet case she had received in Ollivanders and took out her wand. It felt so good to hold it in her hand and she wish so very much that she was able to perform magic with it. Maybe, she could animate Mr. Panda... "Mine's 11.4 inch, Holly wood, Griffin feather," she chirped especially proud of the Griffin part.

Pacifica walked into the common room. "Wow. This is soooo cool" she said to herself. She suddenly saw Heather there, the girl she met at the Gryffindor House table.

"Hey, Heather! Its me, Pacifica! she cried to Heather. On the way to meet Heather, Pacifica said hello to her fellow Gryffindors.

"Gobbledygook!" Jacqueline said and The Fat Lady let her in. It was the most beautiful place she has ever seen. Everything was...well RED. It was very hot in the room and it was full. She loved it.It was her new home,her happy place.She found a free chair, sat there and opened her magazine. She felt quite lonely but also very excited.

Heather watched Kurumi poke Mr. Panda and then shake hands with it. It wasn't new that someone poked Mr. Panda. People always did that when they see the doll (except her grandfather on her mother side. He tried to downsize the doll and was stopped by her grandmother after Heather pleaded her grandfather not to touch it.) since the doll was so big! She was also glad that kurumi shook hands with Mr. Panda. She felt as if Mr. Panda had a life of its own and would be happy as well.

She then saw kurumi's wand. "wow! Griffin feather! that's so cool!" she said. "i heard we get to study such amazing creatures on higher years...i want to see one as well as a dragon!" she clapped her hands, then remembered. her mother's letter was on her lap.

"oh,oh, oh...it's a letter from my mom..." she turned to kurumi. "would you like to read it with me kurumi? i don't think my mom put a secret in it."

Just as Heather was talking about her mother's letter with kurumi, she heard someone call her out. She smiled, remembering the girl. "h-hi Pacifica!" she greeted as the girl approached her and her friend Kurumi. "would you c-care to join us?" she offered a seat across her, her big panda doll and Kurumi. "oh, oh, i almost forgot..." she blushed. "P-Pacifica, this is my friend, kurumi."

Rubiey tumbled through the portrait hole, and wandered over to a free armchair by the fire. She had barely any energy to take her up to the dormitory. She didn't even look around to see if any of her friends she had met down at the table were here. It had been a loooooong day. She had finally met all of the professors, and was so shattered right now. She stared into the embers of the fire. Tomorrow should be good.
