Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Gobbledygook!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

She rose from the couch to make her way to the girls' dormitory when she felt a familiar warm and furry body rub itself on her leg. "Walnut!" she exclaimed picking her calico munchkin cat up. "Where have you been? I hope your day was event...maybe just not as eventful as mine." She laughed, mostly to herself, waved good night to those still in the common room, and then made her way up to the girls' dormitory for her first night's sleep in Hogwarts

Walking down for the dormitory, Mat was feeling good. For the first time in two years he really wanted to be here. Well a part of him wanted to check out back at home to be sure everything was alright but the stress he had in the past were almost entirely gone. Noticing that few students were in the common room but knowing none of them, he was torned to introduced himself in order to make new friends and his needs to go outside get some fresh air.
Knowing perfectly that he had the entire terms to make some new friends Mat rushed himself toward the door and with both of his hands push it open to lead himself out.

Since the students had had more than enough time to get settled into the common room and sort of...maybe...find their way around (for those of them that were new), Professor Carlton decided to pay the Lions a little visit. She wanted to make sure they were getting around alright and that no one had run into any trouble just yet. Although, someone had done something, as the house points hourglass was currently showing a five point loss.
Actually, Lexi knew just who that someone was. It'd been Legend Chosen telling Vindictus he looked as if his mother had dressed him that morning. Despite how very wrong Lexi knew that to be, she'd honestly been eying Vindy's wardrobe a little suspiciously, too. No one can deny that the Chosen kid was a brave one. She made a mental note to keep an eye on him, though. She couldn't very well have the Lions running wildly around the castle, now could she?
Once she was through the portrait hole, Lexi took a moment to glance around at the oh-so-crowded common room area. Merlin, Gryffindors cup runneth over this term, that was for sure! It made...Lexi excited to see so many Lions at once. "Good afternoon," she greeted. "Most of you, I think, met me at the Start-of-Term Feast. For those you didn't, though, I'm Professor Carlton, your Head of House. I'm just poking in to make sure everyone's doing alright and finding their way around just fine."

Lexi Denver (hehe) came down the stairs from her dormitory and smiled seeing her Head of House in the common room. She loved that she would come and visit them and see that they are alright. She waited for her to finish talking and said, "Good day, Professor Carlton! To what do we owe the pleasure?" Maybe she was kissing bum... but not really. She really liked the Professor and was simply being kind.
