Emma nodded and smiled. "Yeah. I was on the reserve." she said smiling. "Yeah and Seeker but I played as a Beater this year." She thought for a moment. "Well we could play against each other and train for tryouts next year!" she said. It would be AWESOME and FUN!

"Amazing plan, that would be sooo good when we would both get in are house teams with out a doubt, and i never even got into the reserves your probably a lot better than me" He smiled at Emma, all of a sudden he realised that he really liked emma maybe even fancied her, but then he still held some feelings for Ella, his head was so messed up at the minuet he needed to get some air and have time to think of what to do. "I'm going to go get a bit of fresh area at the flower garden, maybe i'll see you there or here later" he faked a half hearted smile and got up and slowly made his way into the grounds

"Well I'm glad I was able to motivate you. I had fun working with you. Especially on that first transfiguration assignment," she said as she played with the bracelet he had given her then... the same bracelet she had not taken off since he put it on her arm.

"I've been doing okay I guess. How have you been? Finals were killer, I'm glad they're finally over." She really hated that she had not been able to spend any time with Carter in the past few weeks. Now here it was the end of term feast which meant she had no clue when she would see him again after tomorrow. She wasn't going to think about that right now though. Now all she wanted to do was focus on the time they had together tonight.

"I had a lot of fun too." Carter said.

"I've been good. After quidditch finished I've just been doing schoolwork... which is good... it seems to have doubled after the season."

He was then quiet for a fer moments. "So... um... what are your summer plans?" he asked.

"School work always seems to double around finals time," she said.

Crap, summer plans, just what she didn't want to talk about. Talking about the summer only meant it was going to be more real that Carter would be leaving the country soon. "Um... well... I am supposed to go to Destiny's for a while and just hang out there with her and Evelyn. I'm not sure when I'm going though..." 'or if I am even going', she thought. Yeah, she wasn't even going to ask him about his plans. She didn't want to hear again what he was doing. She did not want to be reminded that she didn't know when she would see him again. Not that the thought wans't already going through her mind.

Just then she heard Headmaster Tate give his speech. Noooo, she didn't want the train to come already. Why did it have to be the end of term... why couldn't this be the start of term instead?

Carter waited for the Headmaster to finish before he spoke again. "That sounds like a lot of fun." he said. "Be sure to watch out for sheep. I hear some bite." Maybe he should warn her about wool bombs too.

Eh... maybe not. Marie would probably have fun challenging Destiny to a wool bomb war.

"I got a letter from my mum this morning." he said. "We're leaving for Russia a few days after we get home - Kay is just coming with us - and it'll probably take a day for Apollo to catch up to us... so right after that I'll be able to write." he said.

Emma nodded. "Yeah, it would be great if you and I both made the teams. Nah, I don't think so." she said smiling at him. Did she like him?? Maybe, but he seemed confused. Emma nodded and noticed his half smile. "Okay." she said. "I'll see you later then!" She watched him walk away, she took a deep breath. Had she done something wrong?

Marie looked at Carter with a confused look. How did he know Destiny had sheep? "You hear some bite? Who told you that?" She didn't remember telling him that and she couldn't picture Destiny telling him anything about herself.

Oh and here it was, she didn't even have to ask him and he was going to tell her his plans... AGAIN!

WHAT!?

Kay was still going with him? Feeling like the life was being sucked out of her she just sat there staring at him for a minute. She couldn't believe that he was still friends with her after everything she had told him. How could he want to spend the summer with someone that was so mean to his girlfriend. Someone who would turn her back on him without even thinking twice about it.

Knowing that if she opened her mouth to say anything right now she would only end up yelling she decided to just get up and leave. Not even looking at him (because she was afraid she would start crying), she got up and started to head for the door.

It was offocial... she HATED the end of term and the summer holiday almost as much as she hated Kay... who didn't seem to have the nerve to show her face at the feast.

*Blink* *Blink*

What just happened?

"Wait Marie. Where are you going?" he asked getting up and following her. Was she heading down to her common room already?

Marie had just about made out to the Entrance Hall when she heard Carter calling for her. Wasn't it obvious where she was going? She was going anywhere he WASN'T.

Stopping she turned to look at him. "Look Carter, it's obvious you didn't listen to a single word I told you about Kay. I can see that no matter what I say to you about her you are still going to be her friend." she said as the tears slowly started to fall down her cheeks. "I now realize that no matter how much I love you, I can't make you do something you don't want to do. I just know I don't have to be a part of it, even if that means I have to walk away from you." She then turned and headed for the door again. Once there she turned back, "I'm sorry Carter," she said then turned and left the Great Hall.

With tears now streaming down her face she ran back to the Slytherin Common Room. She had no reason to be at the feast now. The only reason she had went was to be with Carter and well, he made it clear that Kay was more important than she was. With her out of the picture he would be able to spend as much time as he wanted with Kay.

Where was that train? She was ready to go home NOW.

So he had meant to stop by all the house tables but after leaving Patroclus behind at the Gryffindor table, Marcus decided to skip the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw table and headed straight for the Slytherin table.

He wanted to make sure that he got to say goodbye to his girls first. Funny, he had started the night out in such a good mood but the more students he had to say goodbye to, the sadder he got and saying goodbye to the she-snakes was going to very hard indeed.

As he neared the table though, it looked as though there was one little snake he wasn't going to be able to say goodbye to. Marie had walked out through the doors before he could yell out to her.

Lawson was wearing a frown as he stepped up beside young Carter. "Where's Marie gone to? And why did she look so sad?" He looked down at the Gryffindor and gave him a look as if to say 'what did you do?'

Zane visibly brightened even more after Alex had kissed him. "Besides, revenge is a dish best served cold. I plan on serving it ice cold, it hurts more that way." he said with a evil smile. Oh yes, he didn't even need magic anymore, now that he had learned a lot about the RULES of magic.

Alex grinned, "I think you've been hanging around me too long normally your the kind one." Alex told him chuckling to herself, seriously she was the one normally planning revenge and Zane was the one calming her down, when had that switched? "But I completely agree with you." Alex added her grin turning into a sly smirk.

What? How in the name of Merlin's crazy long shiny white beard did she get that? Girls were way confusing.

And before he had any chance to say anything or do anything she was gone.

Andddddddddddd Professor Lawson was there.

"I. Have. No. Idea." he said stunned at what just happened.

"I was just telling her it was going to be a few days before Apollo caught up with me --- Apollo is my owl --- so I won't be able to write for a few days." he said.

"Oh yeah. And something about Kay. For some reason the two aren't very fond of each other... Kay's meeting my parents over the summer to experience muggle life first hand... and... yeah." he rambled. Rambling, confused Carter was now back.

Raising a brow when she saw over Rae's shoulder, Marie up and start to leave, the Slytherin frowned as she herself stood up just the slightest to see what was going o-

OMG...Carter...

When did he get here? Scoffing, Evelyn sat back down and glared at the Gryffindor, keeping her ears out for anything that they were saying, but it was too hard to hear since there was too much chatting going on in the great hall. However, chatting didn't hide the fact that Marie did not look happy. And since Carter was the one that last spoke to her, obviously, it was his fault.

Oh he was so lucky that it wasn't dessert time yet. Or that the mashed potatoes were too far from her reach.

...Or that Lawson just walked up to him. Pffft. Yea...lucky.

Marcus stared at the Gryffindor boy and had a very strong urge to give him a clip around the ear.

Was that he oblivious?

"I see" Marcus said slowly and turning to face Carter full on. "And how exactly did you drop this bombshell onto your girlfriend?" He did his best not to wince when he said that word.

He thought they were far too young to be boyfriend and girlfriend but no-one was going to listen to him, so he figured that he would keep an eye out for Marie and make sure that Carter didn't do anything stupid.

Seems he might have been a little late.

"You mean Selena didn't get her present from me? I swore that Blast-Ended Skrewt was old enough to survive without a few days food." he said, smiling evilly. Well yea, she had hurt him and Alex, why wasn't he supposed to get back at her?

"What bombshell?" Carter asked. "I told her about this a few months ago." he said.

He then turned to face the Professor. Why was he so interested in Marie?

He then turned toward the door again. Yup. And a few months ago the conversation ended just. like. this.

"I think she's just sad that we won't see each other everyday." Actually he was positive that was the reason. The girl just didn't know how to express her feelings in a way that made any sense.

"But its not like I'm going to be gone forever. Just a month. That's not even the whole summer."

He then looked back at Professor Lawson. Why was he telling him this again?

Alex turned to look at Zane with a look on her face that would probably make even Lafay herself run away. "You gave Selena a what?" She hissed out much like a cat or a snake would. She crossed her arms angrily and glared her Amber eyes darkening angrily. "Please tell me your joking." She added afterwards, if he gave Selena a gift anywhere near dangerous he was getting hexed end of story!

Uh oh..'Yea, I'm only kidding." "it was only a baby anyway, oh well, just one less garden eater" he thought to himself. Well, in retrospect, it wasn't his best idea, but it was the most dangerous/least dangerous thing that he could get his hands on at the time. Hopefully the little bugger wouldn't show up again.

Marcus let out an exasperated sigh and had to fight that urge again to give the boy a thick ear. "No, you dolt. That's not it at all. You're going away and spending the whole summer with another girl. And if that's not bad enough, it's a girl who she sees as an enemy."

He was asking himself the same thing that Carter was thinking although he did not know that. Why was he so concerned? Because it was Marie.

"Marie, may act tough but underneath she is a very sweet girl whose feelings get hurt just as easily as everyone else. You might want to think about how you could of handled this better. How you could have made Marie feel more comfortable about you spending time with another girl."

He paused for a moment and then lent down a little and spoke quietly to the boy, "I think the world of Marie. Do try and remember that." In other words hurt her and you'll know about it. But he left that bit unsaid.

Alex glared even more angry.. no she was down right furious, "You did didn't you? You gave her a a very dangerous creature! In hopes she would be injured no less." Alex through her arms up in disgust with a very, very furious look on her face, her Amber eyes darkening so much it looked more of a dark, dark brown so dark that it looked black. She knew that Selena could probably easily hear this converstation.. oh well, she gave him another glare that would send even the scariest creatures running.

Zane decided to bite the bullet here. "No, I didn't give her the critter, I couldn't get one to live long enough that was small enough. My intention was never to hurt her, but to only scare her. The small ones couldn't live without lettuce and I couldn't leave a lettuce trail around her bed. Plus, why would I endanger you in her room? I'm stupid, but I'm not that freaking stupid Lex."

Alex gave him a look before dropping her anger, "Why on earth would you want to put anyone else in danger anyway? I mean there's a lot of people in the girl's dorm.." Alex trailed off curiously, it was a good idea but she was thinking of a decent sized one.. perhaps of course after Evelyn Flores? hmm.. Right Focus Alex thought looking at Zane grinning, "I know your not stupid, just sometimes you react a bit.. without thinking." And it often ended with him in danger.. or upset or hurt.. Alex wisely did not add this and kept it to herself.

"I didn't do it did I?" he stated simply. He thought his choice was pretty simple he thought..oh well.
