So he had meant to stop by all the house tables but after leaving Patroclus behind at the Gryffindor table, Marcus decided to skip the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw table and headed straight for the Slytherin table.

He wanted to make sure that he got to say goodbye to his girls first. Funny, he had started the night out in such a good mood but the more students he had to say goodbye to, the sadder he got and saying goodbye to the she-snakes was going to very hard indeed.

As he neared the table though, it looked as though there was one little snake he wasn't going to be able to say goodbye to. Marie had walked out through the doors before he could yell out to her.

Lawson was wearing a frown as he stepped up beside young Carter. "Where's Marie gone to? And why did she look so sad?" He looked down at the Gryffindor and gave him a look as if to say 'what did you do?'
