Lily-anne ran up to the dormitory and came back with all the things she need to right a letter. she sat down at one of the tables, dipped her phoenix feather quill into the pineapple sented black ink and began to write

I am writing to you because i have discovered somthing i'm sure you wanted kept a secret from me and mum. I am positive the name Hannah Almus rings a bell to you. Now i assume you are now interigued as to how i know about her well!...
it turns out Hannah, you other daughter also recieved a letter this summer informing her that she had a place at hogwarts. You i am sure know i am very quick to try and make friends now imagine my horror when a girl asks to join our compartment on the Hogwarts Express and when i ask her about her life she tells me she is a half-blood and her father is a man with the surname Almus. The first thing that runs through my head is oh maybe it's one of dads cousins duaghter but no she then passes me a picture asking me if i know him, and it's a picture of you.
How could do this to mum our family from what Hannah has told me and the buisness trips i have come to the conclution that you were living with to families until i was four but then decided to stay with us but still visit them.
I'm waiting for your reply and if things don't go well i'm telling Mum she deseves to know. I used to looke up to you.

Lily-anne put down her quill looking at the tear stained parchment she reread the letter and follded it ready to be sealed and placing it in her bag ready to send with Tytoni later that day. she sighed and leaned back in the chair letting the tears run freely and silently

Abby walked down the staircase into the common room as gracefully as possible. But her head was still a little fuzzy, so that wasn't very gracefully at all, really. Her hair was more wavy than its normally straight state. A scattering of light auburn curls here and there bounced as she stepped into the very, very BLUE room and smiled. It was a very peaceful place when it was nearly empty. And right now, it didn't seem to be as lively as it was before.

Moving toward the window, Abby swept aside the curtains and peered out the glass. WOW they were faaaaaar up. What was this? The seventh floor? Well, the view was pretty.

Grumble went her tummy. Abby noticed for the first time that she was hungry. She turned and looked around the common room. Hmm. The Great Hall was clearly the place to be at a time like this. But Abby now very much wished she had a map of Hogwarts. Would she be able to find the Ravenclaw common room again? And even if she did, she had to get past that infernal eagle that asked her silly questions. Meh.

Sophie entered the Common Room.

lily-anne walked into the common room with Felidea in her arms she settled down on a chair near the fire with Felidea on her lap and she puled out her charms book and began to read

Jay walked down from the dormitory, tears still on his face, he saw Lilly-Anne again and quickly jumped onto a chair pulling up his DADA book again.

Luna walked into the Common Room. She really wanted to chat with somebody. She saw her friend Sophie across the Common Room. "Hi Sophie!" Luna called. "How are you?"

"Hey!Great....You?"

Niko walked into the common room, his dark hair hanging in his face, and piled of books in his arms. As he looked around he tried to blow the hair away from his nose, it didn't really work, and instead made a massive sneeze shake his whole body, and letting the pile of books fall out of his arms.

BAAAAAAAAAH CLUMSY NIKOLAUS! He thought inside his head. Niko looked around. All he could see was first years. Well at least they were only first years. But now they were forever going to remember him as he walked by as the clumsy older kid with hair hanging in his face who drops books everywhere when he sneezes. Greeeeeat.

With a sigh, Niko bent down and started to pile the books back into his arms. Shouldn't these kids be exploring the castle or something?

"I'm fine!" Luna smiled. "So, did you tryout for the Quidditch team?"

"No way"-Sophie giggled.
"I'm clumsy,and I don't like sports.Did you try out?"

Jay walked up to Lilly-Anne, "Hi." he said, feeling very awkard and looking at her in fear.

And then he was off again and Ivory smiled again.

"Well no one's ever called me that, most settle for Ivy but Iv is fine. Whatever floats your boat." she said grinning. Personally she thought Tyler wasn't even that long of a name but who was she to decide what a person liked to be called. If he wanted to be called 'Ty' then Ty it would be. Nodding along with his comments on transfiguration, she paused a bit to consider his questions.

"Unfortunatly, we got quite a few new professors this term so I can't account for all of them," Unconsciously, she felt a twinge of sadness for that fact. Oh how she missed Professor Kazimeriz. He truly had been one of a kind, and well truth be told he'd always seemed like the grandfather of Hogwarts though Merlin knew he wasn't that old." But those I do know- Well they were really nice and helpful. Like Lady-" Smiling again she realized not everyone knew her and Arya's nickname for their favorite Professor. "Professor Lawson is like a mom to everyone and Professor V is just awesome. And so is Truebridge..although," A slight frown marred her features. "He doesn't smile much since Bunz isn't here anymore"

Floats his boat? Funny expression, that one. Since he was a RAVENCLAW and super smart and all, he got it - but STILL. It was weird. "Yep, Iv and Ty," he nodded, feeling the need to say it again. He was meeting so many new people, he didn't want to forget anyone!

New professors? OH, that was GOOOOD. That meant that they could be new together! ... Only, which of them were new? Hmm. He'd have to find out somehow. Asking Iv would just be not nice since the subject apparently made her sad. And Ty did NOT like making people sad. "That's good - I need nice and helpful!" he remarked, nodding his head.

And then she mentioned a name he recognised. "OH! Ni talked about him - Professor V is our Head of House, right? And what is Bunz? Is it a school bunny?" Ty asked, totally thinking the name could fit. Bunz and Bunny Rabbit of Hogwarts.

'Twas catchy! Hehe.

Lily-anne looked up from her book still stoking felidea "hey" she said a little unsure hoping he had sorted things out

Professor Vindictus suddenly walked into the Common Room with a mischievious glint in his blue eyes. He smiled at the students who were in the room and suddenly clapped his hands.

The common room suddenly went from ordinary to extraordinary.


"It's time to PARTAY!" he exclaimed and headed over to the food.

Victoria was glad that she made two new friends to hang around with, go to lessons with and have a laugh. She knew that she had her brother too to hang out with but he was in Gryffindor.

Maddie saw Victoria and went over shyly
'Hallo' she said 'How are you?'

She saw Madeline walk into the common room and then speak to her "Hey Maddie, I am good thanks! How are you?" she asked her new friend.

'I am fine, thank you' she said, smiling 'So, did you go to any interesting lessons today?' Maddie asked, for want of a better subject. She never was any good at starting conversations.

"I had potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts" she said. "Shame my brother is Gryffindor, you could meet him" she told Maddie.

Maddie smiled
'Your brother is Rex, isn't he?' she asked 'I have met him already...'
