"I'm sure she'll be fine... in time." Ellie said, and rubbed his shoulders comfortingly. Then she gave him a small hug. "You know, a wise meerkat once said, 'You gotta put your past behind you.'" She smiled.

"okay then." Adam answered "so what have you been up to?" he asked with a smile

"sleeping, writing, studying for classes, and more writing." Jen said and smiled before adding, "And hanging out with my best friends of course."

"...and the guy, you really like" Adam said with a cocky smile, remebering their past conversation

Ivory was still mulling over the riddle she had been given by the bronze eagle knocker at the entrance when she stepped into the Ravenclaw common room.

Of course she had answered correctly for there she stood now, but it had been quite a puzzling one. She had to admit that she had been stumped for more then she felt ready to admit.

"Tomorrow and the future", she'd answered. But it seemed like such a cliche answer. Ivory released a sigh. Oh well, if the eagle had let her in it was fine.

Moving toward the comfiest chair nearest to the fireplace , she slouched down into it. Her best friend Arya was in Hufflepuff and for the moment at least it seemed there was no one she knew nearby.

If only she was more animated, if only she could just walk straight up to any group of people having a conversation and just talk herself into it. But sadly she was still shy, although she had recently made some headway by actually carrying on a conversation, laughing, and even talking quite harshly to some people (well one person but that was just once and it was only because the few friends she had were hurt at the time and she had apologized profusely) Unfortunately, each and every single one of those times, someone had instigated that conversation. Hopefully, with time, she'd learn to be less shy.

Hunting around through her robes, Ivory removed her wand from it's holster. Feeling the familiar warmth in her hand and watching the always present dark blue flame with its purple white center bloom at its tip, she twirled it around absentmindedly as she removed a textbook from her bag.

Shrugging out of her robe and neatly folding it along with her books on a nearby chair, she picked out A Changing Subject: Transfiguration Basics by Dawnie Iris.

Settling down for a good read at least until she got over her shyness, she immersed herself in her book looking up occasionally as other Ravenclaws perused by, wishing she had a braver soul.

"Hey long time no talk!" JP walks over to Ellie

Maddie walked into the Common Room, awestruck, and sat down in a comfy armchair by the fire. She waved at JP and carried on reading her copy of Hogwarts: A History

Victoria was happy to be back in the common room but she was still missing Jason so she decided to send him an owl to say that she had arrived safety at school.

Jen giggled at his remark. "yes and the guy I really like." she winked at him.

Stella walked into the circular room. It had a beautiful round carpet in the center of the room, the colour was beautiful, mid-night blue. She walked towards her 'friend' (which she hardly knows), twirling the tip of her long hair around her finger, "Hey, who is everything going?"

Ok. So maybe Ty wasn't as smart as he had thought. Still eying the entrance warily as he stepped into the common room , he mumbled something under his breath about stupid trick questions that were unanswerable unless you FRIED your brains out, he stopped as he realised where he was.

RAVENCLAW COMMON ROOM!!!

WHOOOO! Forgetting all about the mild headache that he had managed to achieve while answering the question to gain entrance, Ty's smile beamed across the room and he ran and threw himself onto the blue cough, giggling senseless with giddy happiness.

He was HERE. At LAST. At Hogwarts. Sorted into Ravenclaw. IN THE RAVENCLAW COMMON ROOM. Uncle James, and mother and father, would be proud.

"Hello!" Ty said, noticing for the first time that he had JUUUUST missed collapsing onto a girl reading a book. Ty liked books - they were cool. "I'm Tyler, and I'm in Ravenclaw. Obviously. And a HOGWARTS student!!!" the latter would NEVER be obvious. EVER.

He'd repeat it until his SEVENTH year, he will.

It was just as Abby walked into the Ravenclaw common room that she realized something. Every new acquaintance she had made prior to coming to Hogwarts had been in pretty much every other house besides Ravenclaw. Awesome. She looked around the room and bit her lip. Sure she recognized some of her fellow Ravenclaws from passing them by in Diagon Alley, but that was far from adequate.

Making her way farther into the common room, Abby noticed for the first time the room itself. Oh, it was a beautiful one at that. She took in the huge amount of blue and the copper accents. Blue was, of course, her favorite color. Well, as she sank into an armchair, Abby hoped that she would at least have brand new Ravvie friends before classes began.

Ivory nodded along as she read the passage, trying to commit it all to memory, until suddenly there was a flurry of movement and giggling on her left as somebody ran full-tilt into the couch.

Letting out a little "Eep!" of surprise, her book was in the air for a few milliseconds before it was finally saved by her lap, but of course it had to be closed. Sighing, she flipped it open and concentrated on finding her page for a few seconds until a voice made her sit up.

Sitting next to her was a boy close to her age and with an obvious enthusiasm for being here. Before Ivory could even get a word in the boy merrily rushed on, and introduced himself as Tyler with a voice that brimmed over in pride as he mentioned being a fellow Ravenclaw and in Hogwarts.

Determined to make a friend out of this interesting situation and not let her past get in the way, Ivory tried to push down her nervousness at meeting people again, and set on a tentative smile, it was after all quite adorable to see a boy giggling.

"Hi," she said then cursed herself for sounding like a little kid, but didn't let her smile falter. "I take it you're very excited to be here?"

She looked roughly his age. Yet she she was so much BIGGER. Tyler couldn't WAIT to hit that growth spurt that made Uncle James the giant he was. Really.

Oooh, AND, another thing he liked about Hogwarts? The girls weren't ICKY. No, really, it may seem WEIRD that they aren't but it's true. All of the ones he'd met were AWESOME. Like Lo. Lo was FANTASTIC.

"Of course! Aren't you? This is my first year here but I'm a second year, because my parents wouldn't let me come last year. How about you? What's your name? What are you reading? Ooh, is it interesting? I like books, see, I think they're wicked. I think this whole COMMON ROOM is wicked. Hogwarts is just too wicked to be defined wicked!!" Ty rambled on and on, his excited demeanor VERY obvious.

What? You can't blame him - this was his FIRST TIME EVER.

For the next few seconds, Ivory could do little less than just smile in amusement. This boy was adorable.

Everytime Tyler asked a question, she would open her mouth to answer before realizing that she couldn't fit a word in edgewise through his excitement.

Almost in spite of herself, she actually let out a little giggle. Something she hadn't done in quite a while. Finally when it seemed he had to stop to take a breath, she quickly tried to assemble her answers as quickly as possible just in case he started up again.

"Yeah, I'm a second year too, and I was here last year. But don't worry you didn't miss much." Part of her wanted to say it was really a good thing he hadn't been here, but realized that had someone burst her Hogwarts is Great bubble on her first days...well the guy deserved to think the best of the school, because aside from those mishaps the school really was great.

"I'm Ivory by the way and this here," she said motioning to the book in her lap, "is A Changing Subject: Transfiguration Basics by Dawnie Iris. Just rereading it to brush up before class. Which is, in fact," she continued with a little wink. "Also very wicked!"

He didn't miss much?? Was this girl INSANE?!?!? He had been at HOME while THEY had all been HERE. Of COURSE he had missed something. A LOT of somethings, probably.

Shaking his head at her disbelievingly, Tyler was about to tell her just how crazy he thought she was when she introduced himself and all of those thoughts were wiped from his brain. New friends! "Hi Iv! Can I call you Iv? Call my Ty, by the way. Tyler is too long," he bounced up in his seat so that he was now sitting on his ankles and therefore was able to look at her properly now.

"Ooh, Transfiguration. I read the textbook - it looks wicked awesome!" Ty laughed, catching her wink and mimicking it. She was FUN. And she had said wicked - which was WICKED VERY COOL. "How are the professors? Are they nice?" he asked, remembering the questions he hadn't asked Ni or Kel, due to time constraints at the feast.

He HOPED they were nice. If they were anything like his parents, he was in for a LOOOONG six years.

Haha! It was great to be back, Adam decided as he made his way from the dorms and into the Common Room. Better than home, by far. And he didn't have to pay people monthly to stay here. Unlike that stupid guy who'd come to collect money off him the week before. Yeah, well a Confudus Charm had done an alright job on him. Adam wouldn't hear from him until Christmas, hopefully. And that was a long time away.

So WOOP! for school. Adam had never heard, let alone said that before. Dropping down onto one of the nearest chairs, he opened a book on the arm and pulled out a Muggle pencil before making marks on the pages. Occaisionally twisting the writing implement upside down, he ran a hand through his hair.

Writing songs was harder than he'd thought.

Sophie entered the Ravenclaw Common room,noticing how beautiful it is.
She sat onto one chair,and looked around,amazed.

Isabella walked in through the porthole and into the common room, looking round she smiled at howit hadn't changed since she was gone. She walked slowly forward searching for a space to sit, finding on, she sat. Pulling out her book to read, hoping someone would talk to her. It sucked her bestfriend being in Hufflepuff.

Simon entered the common room.He was amazed how the room looked.He imagined it differently.He sat down at the desk.He took out a parchment and a quill and started to write Dear Father ,
I just got a chance to write you a letter.I'm in Hogwarts and it's awesome.It's soo huge...Is mother okay?Is she still worried?I hope not.Well I know who was the boy Amelie had dumped me for.It-" He stopped.Why was he writing it?Father wouldn't care , would he?But than again , who was Simon to judge?- was some Gryffindor boy named Sye Montaris.Let's change the subject.I was on the Hogwarts Express when I found this letter.It said "Remember what you have to do when you get to Hogwarts?Do it or you'll get punished". Isn't that weird? Simon spun around and looked for Chelsea , his owl.She wasn't here.Well I have to go.

Jay walked downstairs and opened the door, coming out of the boys dormitry, he wondered where Lilly-Anne and her cousin went, he hadn't seen them for a while. He went and slump on a chair and day dreamed.

Lily-anne decended the stairs from the girls dormitory and made her way through the common room in search of one of her friends. After a couple minutes she spotted Jay slumped in a chair staring into space, she smiled and made her way over to him smiling as she sat on the chair next to him "hey" she said cheerfully

Abby just had her head resting in her hand with her elbow propped up on the armrest of her chair as she watched the happenings occurring between her new fellow students. Well, it wasn't all that fun. Mostly, it seemed, the Ravenclaws who passed by were younger than herself. Far younger. Like first year, second year younger.

Then, Abby was jerked out of her thoughts as the sound of something plopping down nearby reached her ears. Make that someone. Abby watched the boy who looked about her age as he set to writing in a book. By the way he was holding it, the view of whatever it was he was writing was obstructed, and Abby couldn't make heads or tails of the strange markings he appeared to be making. It didn't seem like he was writing in words.

Further piquing her interest, she realized he was writing in pencil. Back at home, everyone used Muggle pens or pencils. Unlike here. Quills? Well they were just so much of a hassle. Abby leaned back in her chair, not wanting to stare. Staring and trying to read something that someone else was writing was awkwaaaard. But still, perhaps curiosity got the better of her. "'Scuse me, but could I ask what you're working on?" she queried to the boy. He looked very focused on whatever it was. Abby decided she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't reply.

"Hi Lilly-Anne I was just thinki- I mean I was just wo-" he said, damnit Amy will kill him for no reason. "Uh hi."
