"I'm fine." he answered."Did you see Sye , yet?" he asked.

'No' Maddie said sadly 'I think he left...' No. She would NOT be unhappy at the Celebration, for god's sake!

Timothy sighed again, it wasn't that he was lonely or anything....but his friends had departed him, though sad.....it did give him a bit more time to sit and think....and well.... also eat.

he took another bite and found himself one of the chairs. He was quite content to sit and watch the world drift by...so he pulled his wand and practised the movements to some of the spells he had learned last year.

Victoria was looking round and wondering where her friends were, she was thought maybe they had left the school. So she would have to make some new friends, she sighed.

Timothy whipped his wand around in his hand spinning it on his palm and through his fingers. But unfortunately his wand spinning skills weren't what he thought they were. So in the end his wand flew from the tips of his fingers and bounced down the floor, Timothy raced after it, trying not to shove too many people out of the way....

Maddie smiled and approached a lone boy, who was just... sitting. He looked sad. Gracefully slipping in the seat next to him, she gave him a little smile
'Hello' she said, her French accent coming through for some reason/

A wand landed at at her feet, she wondered who it belonged to but it was soon followed by a second year. "Are you ok?" she asked him.

Timothy almost screamed as he ran smack into a fourth year girl. He was scared...so he started backing up until he reached his old seat in the span of about a second. He fell back onto the chair, and realized he was now almost sprawled over another girl.

Now he was surrounded by two of 'em. Not too bad really, one of them even sounded French. Perhaps a similar transfer as himself.

"Hey! Sorry about that!" Timothy's Russian accent also betrayed him as he scrambled up. He looked at the fourth year and bowed a little. "Thanks for returning that! My apologies for that as well!"

Now he had two conversations going!

Maddie brushed her robes off and laughed, a pretty sound like silver bells tingling.
'It is alright' she said 'No harm done!' she assured him, laughing again 'I'm Madeline, but everyone calls me Amelie or Maddie' she informed the boy

"That's ok, are you new?" she asked when she heard the russian accent, "I am Victoria Jaimeson" she told the boy and then smiled at the first year girl.

"A pleasure to meet you miss Madeline! And to you as well Miss Victoria! To answer your question I am not really new, I just usually keep to myself....though I have been living in country with my Uncle for a few years."

Timothy paused

"Wow, where are my manners? My apologies again, My name is Timothy Mikhail Danford."

He shook their hands, still slightly embarrassed....

"Nice to meet you Timothy, I am a fourth year by the way" she said, "I am part veela by the way" she said before he asked or guessed about it.

Maddie laughed again. this new boy, he was sweet.
'If you do not mind my asking, where are you from?' she asked politely 'You do not sound English, and I cannot place your accent...' she let her voice tail off, hoping she was not being too nosy

Four years at this school...and part veela as well. Wow....quite the accomplishment. But that meant that this fourth year was dangerous. Timothy almost took a step backward in spite of himself. Uncle Nath had told him alot about Veelas......dangerous and possessive creatures. But if she was only partially veela then....who knows.

"Really? A veela?" Being twelve, Timothy was no expert in the matter but the veela did show in her. Pretty.

Madeline laughed again. And Timothy smiled in return. "I am actually from the region right outside St Petersburg....Russia."

Timothy hoped that didn't impede his friendship with this nice French Girl....

Oh, Russia. She smiled again
'I just adore Russia' she said to Timothy 'My papa has a beautiful manor, just within St. Petersburg. We go there in the winter, it is gorgeous.Oh, in case you were wondering, I am from Paris. Just outside of Paris, actually'

"It's ok, I have my powers under control, my grandmother told me how to do it" she told Timothy, "I am looking for new friends as it looks like mine has left" she said sadly.

A manor? In St Petersburg? Then Uncle Nath would know him, as he kept up the relations with the elite in Russia. Even though Timothy's parents had died there...Nath was probably in the comfortable estate at this moment. Probably eating some delicious food.

"Amazing! When the semester is over I should visit you there!" Not like he wanted the semester to end as it had just started.

He looked back slightly suspiciously at Victoria. "Well thats good, I would love to be your friend! As mine have left or died as well." Timothy took a moment to remember a few of his adult friends that used to send him letters here.

'Yes, you should' Maddie smiled 'That would be very fun! Although, we are not there an awful lot anymore' she frowned 'We spend more time in Saint Kitt's, now.' She liked it there, of course she did, but she much prefered St. Petersburg.

"Thank you, the only people that write to me is my Auntie Katalin and Uncle J.J. and my boyfriend who graduated last year, my boyfriend has a castle at LaQuidditch" she told him.

Wow a castle at LaQuidditch eh....well there goes that. Well, friends didn't require visits to great castles.

"My uncle writes me when he has the time. I think he was released from service of the Department of Magic. I believe that he has since returned to Russia."

Timothy turned back to Madeline, "Prithy, what is Saint Kitts?"

'It is an island in the Carribean' Maddie explained 'Papa bought a beachside villa there two years ago. My mama loves it, but I much prefer Russia. The weather there suits me better, and I enjoy the history and scenery'

"I sometimes stay at my boyfriends or I stay with my aunt and uncle at their italian villa" she told him and then she said "My parents was killed by deatheaters when I was nine" she said to Timothy and Madeline.

Caribbean? This girl was one lucky lady. Tim smiled, "The history is quite rich there indeed! I love wandering through the Cathedrals with Uncle Nath"

Timothy turned to Victoria, "Deatheaters? Really....I am so sorry!" Timothy cringed, it didn't help that he had is own thoughts about his uncle....perhaps he was a deatheater....so many were these days....

Maddie could sympathise with Victoria; her Uncle had been killed by death eaters ten years ago. She put it out of her mind.
'Yes, the cathederals are incredibly...' she searched for a word 'Breathtaking' she said triumphantly 'My favourite story is of the Princess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova. Do you know it?' she asked

"It's ok, I live with my grandparents, then my aunt and then she married her fiance" she told them. "Then she had my baby cousin William and now she is pregnant again, my brother Rex is in his fifth year".
