Between heavenly bites of her super duper yummy chocolate cupcake, Keeley also spotted her old friend aquantence type person, Mina. She stmiled widely (hopefully there was no frosting on her teeth) and waved back. They hadn't spoken in foreverrr! Hopefully no kidnapping and drama would get in the way of hanging out this year. But it always did.

Ellie had forgotten Ravenclaw's victory during her busy summer. She was glad to have some time to relax and celebrate before the stressful term began. She wandered over to the refreshments and grabbed a cup of pumpkin juice. Looking around, she saw lots of familiar faces.

She wandered over to Mina, a girl she knew from her other years at Hogwarts and got to know during a trip to Diagon Alley. "Bonjour Mina!" she said cheerfully, remembering how Mina spent part of her summer in France. All Ellie did was work on the farm. That and get herself a ferret. The latter was the most exciting part of her holiday. For the most part, she was glad to be back at Hogwarts.

Mariel was sure she would be the last person to make it to the common room, but she was not leaving the Great Hall without a piece of apple pie. Once her stomach was sufficiently full, the Ravenclaw made the journey to her House's tower, knowing that Nia would be waiting for her and also giving her the chance to check up on Becca. Nearly out of breath as she reached the door to the common room, Mariel answered the riddle and easily entered the room.

Once inside she was a bit awestruck at the sight in front of her. The common room looked to be decorated for some sort of party. Looking around, her eyes stopped on the banner strung across the mantle which told her the reason for the celebration. House Cup and Gobstone Champions.... Fabulous! But, wait... what about Quidditch? Did that mean they hadn't won last year? Mariel furrowed her brow slightly in thought as green eyes began to scan the room.

No sign of Becca... but there was Nia! Mariel squeezed past a group of first years and quickly jumped up onto the sofa her housemate was sitting on, tucking her legs underneath her. "So, how've you been?" she asked her friend with a hint of excited anticipation in her voice. All her previous doubts of returning were starting to fade away now that she was sitting in the middle of her common room, ready to catch up on all the latest gossip. "Cool party," she said with a quick glance around. She'd have to make sure to get some food - once she was hungry again. Professor V. always threw great parties for them. "But it looks like something was left out," the nearly 17 year old added, gesturing to the banner. "I guess Professor V. ran out of room." That was the only viable explanation in her mind

Mina made a note to herself, she really needed to reconnect with Keeley. Her Ravenclaw friends were probably want she needed anyway. No real threat of them hurting her and all. Perhaps it was time for her to find some besties in her own house.
Seeing Ellie, she smiled and called her over. "Ellie! Hey, you should have a cupcake. They are like amazing." she giggled. She really hadn't see her new friend since Diagon Alley and she wondered about the other girl. "You know, I never got to see your ferret. Did you get to bring him with you?" Yes too much sugar made her ramble and giggle a lot.

Jacob saw Cela, and his face flushed red from the praise. It did not last, once again it became its normal pale color. He tried to speak but all that came out of his food filled mouth, were small grunts. He realized that he was also spitting out some of the food. He covered his mouth, turned his head slightly, and finished what was in his mouth. He forced the rest down, for digesting.

He turned his head back towards Cela. "Don't forget that I also helped us get in last for the the Quidditch Cup." He will surely never forget until they got back to number one. "I would think that, that kind of cancels out my praise for gobstones." he said with a kind of odd smile, it was just a sad truth. "So hows our Head Girl enjoying her 7th year here at this fine, fine institute?" he asked...Ha! Fine Institute, more like an Asylum

Jacob looked around at the sound of his name. He saw another familiar face. Why didn't he see these people at the start of term feast... Oh yeah he was busy banging his head on the table. That was probably not a good idea.

"Oh, Hey..." he knew this. "Vashti" Yeah that was it. Alright? "It depeneds how loosley you say it. But I could be better, How about you?"

Jacob felt as though he was about to vomit from all the food he had just eaten. He patted his chest, before turning at another voice. "Oh, yes, Quite hungry" he said before trying to muffle a burp, but it didn't work and the burp was no quieter than it would have been. "Excuse me" He said Hoping it didnt seem rude or disgusting.

Ellie wasn't one to refuse a food suggestion, and reached for a chocolate cupcake with pink frosting. She took a bite, and Mina was right, this cupcake was delicious. "That might be the best thing I've ever tasted!" she exclaimed, speaking with her mouth full. She swallowed and responded to her mate. "Oh you should see him! He's so tiny, just a baby. White all over, like snow!" The sugar seemed to be affecting her, making her jumpy and talkative.

"Lance, my ferret, he's sleeping upstairs. Too many people make him nervous," she explained. She took another bite of the delicious cupcake, savoring the flavors. "How was the rest of your summer?" she inquired. After all, she hadn't seen Mina in ages and they needed to catch up.

Mina bounced a little from all the sugar now in her system. Perhaps eating cupcakes in such a rapid secession wasn't a wise idea, but she had and now the sugar was in her. Bouncing from foot to foot, she nodded. "I'm so going to have to get the recipe. I want to make delicious cupcakes like this!" she giggled. Cupcakes, yes she wanted to make cupcakes. Reaching for another one, she nom nomed on it. So good and they made her happy, well happier. You can't be in a foul mood if you have cupcakes!

"Baby Lance! I can't wait to meet him." she nodded. She could only imagine how adorable he is. Giggling a bit more, she smiled and continued to bounce a bit more. "It was okay, I had to spend the rest of it at my parent's house and not with my cousin, but I survived," she shrugged. After they parted in Diagon Alley, she had met up with her father and cousin. They all had dinner and then upon returning home, she locked herself in her room. She needed the time alone to think over things. Thinking was all she did until it was time to leave for school "How about you, anything exciting happen on the farm?" She was pretty sure Ellie's summer was a bit more fun than her own. She seriously would have taken a simple summer over the summer she had.

Jay walked down into the celebration, he sat down on a chair and waited till he came around.

Whilst she'd been waiting, Nia had seen the Common Room transform. It was now a celebration in full swing, and she lazily accio'd herself a cupcake over the heads of her housemates. She didn't feel like moving from her sofa, where she could easily enjoy the atmosphere of the party and keep an eye for Mariel coming in.

Glancing down to her cake, she carefully peeled down the case, and it was then she felt the movement beside her. Mariel had appeared! She grinned, and leant over to hug her friend since she hadn't been able to do so earlier. She positively beamed as she pulled away. "It is indeed," Nia replied with a smile. "Professor V does know how to throw the best for us. And it's defo a great way to start the term. Inspire all the new firsties and all that."

"I've been good thanks," she said with a smile. "Seems the start of this term is going extra well..." Made Captain over the summer. Met Kel and Ty at the feast. And Mariel was back. Awesome! "How about you? I wanna know where you've been..."

She glanced up at the banner as Mariel spoke. "Left out?" She frowned, before her eyes widened with realisation. Quidditch. They'd been on such a good streak at one stage. Mariel obviously didn't know last term's result. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. Nia swallowed slowly. She still blamed herself for the result. "Afraid not," she said, biting her lip. Should she reveal the result? "Let's say I don't make a good seeker..." she offered by way of explanation. "Keeper first half...and then subbed to seeker due to injury in both matches. It wasn't good. We had a bit of a seeker's curse last year."

She looked down at her cupcake, and broke a bit off to nibble slowly. Looking up again, she offered a smile. "I'm gonna make up for it big time this year though. If Professor V has faith in me, then I wanna lead the team the whole way." She nodded in emphasis. "You gonna try out?" She crossed her fingers for her friend's reply.

Alcemee said, "Hi Ellie!" She was glad to see her again.

Alcemee replied, "It is. What year are you in?" She thought he was a fifth year but was making sure.

Alcemee said, "Nice to meet you, Abby. And yes, I am enjoying the party. It's great. Are you enjoying it?"

Luna walked into the Common Room. Blue Balloons and streamers were hung everywhere. She was confused, why were they celebrating? Then she caught on. They were celebrating the win of the House Cup from last term. Plates were piled high with food. Luna smiled to herself. She grabbed a chcolate frog and bit into it. Maybe this was a great way to meet some new friends. She wanted to make as many friends as she could.

Delilah walked into the celebration. She couldn't believe she was here. She hated these stupid social events. She grabbed a butterbeer and sat in an empty chair.

Nodding to Abby, Kel finished off his second blue cupcake. "How are you liking Hogwarts so far?" he asked, glancing at her before he looked at the table they were by. Those cupcakes were really good... With a one-shouldered shrug to himself, he picked up another one. It was only his third - there were plenty more left.

Christopher James Aesalon leaned against the doorway leading to the Ravenclaw Common Room, tilting his head back slightly and letting his hair fall over his eyes.

A serious face, expressive sharp dark eyes, and a set square jaw is what met the gaze of anyone who happened to be looking.

It seemed everywhere he himself looked, he encountered the color blue or some variation of blue or people wearing blue, heck even blue food.

Was he bored? Maybe. Was there stuff he needed to do? Yes, actually there was. Sniffing the air a bit almost unconsciously, his stomach gave a rumble and he remembered he hadn’t actually eaten yet. But was he hungry? Definitely.

Making his way to the table of food, he snatched a sandwich and a cupcake.

And now to satisfy the hunger.

Selena saw a girl sitting by herself, she grabbed her drink and walked up to her "mind if I join you?" she said with a smile

"Hey." Vashti grinned. "Great party, isn't it? Have you eaten one of the cupcakes yet? They're brilliant." She took a bite out of the sandwich she held, munching hungrily. Even the sandwiches were great! She would have to thank those house elves one day.

"Aww, what's wrong?" she asked when he said he wasn't well. Or, well, he implied it. At least she thought he did. Anyway. "I'm doing pretty great! This food is amazing. I noticed you seemed to like it too. Have you signed up for Quidditch tryouts yet?"

She smiled softly before grabbing one of the cupcakes. She took a small bite and her smile brightened at the taste. "This...This is good..." She took another bite and giggled slightly.

Delilah looked up at the voice. "No, I don't mind at all." She said with a smile. "I'm Delilah."

Peh. Tehe.

Abby pursed her lips. The boy had just burped. Quite loudly. She didn't want to laugh at him, but it just came out. HAHA. Oh well. She just smiled after. At least he had excused himself politely. "Sure," she said brightly.

"I am," Abby replied to her. She gestured toward the variety of blue foods laid out on the table. "What could be better than a party with great food?" she declared cheerily. "So, what year are you in?" she asked curiously.

Everyone seemed to be FLOCKING toward the food. And who could blame them? Abby looked up as another girl made her way over. Well, she needed to make more Ravenclaw friends, so it wouldn't hurt to say something. "Heya!" she said in a friendly tone. "Enjoying the party?"

Abby drank some more of her butterbeer. She wasn't used to drinking this stuff. But dang was it good.

"It's great!" she replied, nodding. "It's so big and castle-y." And it definitely contrasted with Salem. "I haven't even been to all the floors yet. Have you been on every floor before?" she asked wide-eyed. She had heard plenty about the secret passageways hidden behind statues and portraits. Now that was cool.

Eep. SEE NOW!? The food table was getting crowded! Abby watched with one eyebrow cocked as a boy practically snatched some food off the table. "Don't worry. There's plenty, and it's not all gonna be gone anytime soon," she piped up jokingly to him.

Selena smiled "thanks. I'm Selena" she said politely as she sat on an empty chair next to Delilah "so why are you sitting, here by yourself" she asked

Delilah laughed softly and she could feel the blood rush to her cheeks. "Well, I guess you could say i'm kinda... shy?"

Vashti laughed. "See? I told you they're great. And they're blue!" She grinned, stuffing the rest of the sandwich in her mouth before taking another cupcake from the platter. These things were delicious.

Selena giggled "I'm sorry I don't mean to rude or anything. But don't you hang around with the girls in your dorm?" she asked politely

She smiled at Vashti's comment and finished eating the cupcake. "Wonder what the sandwiches taste like...?" She grabbed one and nibbled at it, which made her smile more. "You know, I may gain a few pounds by the time this party is done."

Delilah smiled. "It's okay and yeah i do, but... I guess outside of my friends i'm not as outgoing as i am when i'm with them. I don't really know why."
