A smile appeared on Evan's face as he looked at the food. There, his main reason to be in this group--eating wonderful food! His senses hadn't failed him, he knew they were going to try dishes to choose from. And right now, he was going to eat all of them--err, try the dishes to choose from. Looking around, another grin crossed his face at the sight of sarma. Grabbing one, he closed his eyes and enjoyed the taste. "This should be on the menu too!" he said, mouth half-full. "It is hard to cook, but delicious. One of the most favourite meal of Turkish." He knew from experience, on his trip to Turkiye, it was consumed in large amounts. And once one started to eat it, he couldn't stop. Some cooked rice and currant were wrapped with a grape leave, and then it was cooked. The length and width varied however, from region to region. With a little bit of lemon, it was perfect.

OMG!
There was a chooooocolate fountain. Sure, it was a fondue fountain which meant you were supposed to dip things in it..well, she was gonna dip something in it alright; her fingers. She would have gone for the whole face in fondue fountain look, but others needed to taste it still.
Or did they?
She didn't need to be told twice to 'dig in' and was standing up, trying to make her way over to the fountain, when Carter grabbed her and started taking her AWAY from the chocolate. "Noooo! Chocolate first." she mumbled, trying to pull him away from whatever he was going to eat.
It looked disgusting anyway.
Carter looked over as Destiny began pulling him away. Chocolate? He looked over. There was the most glorious chocolate fountain he had ever laid his eyes on. Destiny was brilliant. He could have kissed her. You know... except he had a girlfriend... and Destiny was afraid of cooties... and that would be really weird... and probably 700 other reasons... but the point remained the same, this girl was officially brilliant.
Looking over he had half a mind to say 'race ya', but he remained calm. "You're absolutely right." he said switching directions. When they arrived at the fountain he wanted very badly to dip his face in it... but instead he dipped a strawberry. "Thish ish delishhhes." he mumbled as he chewed. "Want one?" he asked holding one out to her in one hand and in the other he was already starting to dip another one.

William stood frozen to the spot as everything appeared. His mouth was watering as the delicacies were shown to him, a cornucopia of deliciousness, but first he needed to know one thing. Having food allergies was horrible, he couldn't even sniff the stuff without breaking out into hives, let alone taste it. One reason he was now leery, standing of to the side, a quirked up eyebrow. He didn't want to say anything for fear of being rejected; an out cast in this small feast.
Crossing his arms he watched Gold and Legend eating away. "That looks so good." he said, watching them with longing. It was then he thought of something. "Professor...err I mean Professors, what about people with food allergies, we need to be careful about not hurting them." like me he thought. "I'd like to try the food but I am not sure if there's any pineapple in them and don't want to risk it." he added sheepishly.
Aww. "I'm sure magic could fix that," Gold offered. She did not like to think that someone would have to be cautious about what they ate, only because they had certain allergies. "Maybe when someone goes near a dish, a sign can pop up next to it, listing the ingredients?"
She looked up at Professor Reynolds and Dodson.

Oh, OH, new dish! Gold was glad people who knew about certain dishes, were speaking up about them. Because, that way, she could try those dishes. It narrowed down her options. There were quite a number of dishes here, so it was pretty hard, to settle for any one. She skipped over to Evan and, picking up a fork, eyed the Sarma.
"How do you eat this?" she asked, with a chuckle. "Can I just pick out the whole stick, and eat it from one end, or do I have to cut it into bite-size pieces?" Though Gold had a feeling the latter option meant that the wrap would break up; and the filling, come out. Which would ruin the dish, no? But she couldn't be sure, so she eyed him expectantly.

Of course she was right.
Destiny is ALWAYS right, no matter what anyone says. "I know." she replied matter of factly, and continued to pull him to the chocolate. When they arrived RIGHT in front, she watched Carter dip a strawberry into the fountain and shook her head. Really? He was DIPPING it in there? "That is not how you do it. Let me show you."
Grabbing a strawberry, she shoved it onto one of the skewers, and then DROWNED the WHOLE thing into the fountain. Pulling it out, her eye twitched once more and she shoved the strawberry in her mouth. "Dats 'ow eets don'."
Chocolate fondue pro Destiny is.
Swallowing what was in her mouth, she grabbed another skewer and stabbed a strawberry with it. Holding it out for Carter to take, she nodded her head, "Your turn."
She'd be watching his every move.

Carter laughed. He chose the perfect partner for this chocolate fondue adventure. Taking the skewer from Destiny he popped a marshmallow on the end next to strawberry on the end of the skewer. He then thrust it into the fountain. He then drew out something that was so covered in chocolate you couldn't tell what it was.
"That better?" he asked before stuffing the chocolate blob into his mouth. He'd say so... but he didn't want to open his mouth and drool out chocolate...
After swallowing all the chocolate he leaned a little closer to her and whispered, "Do you think we should steal some for Marie and Evelyn?" he asked stabbing everything in sight to the end of his skewer. Choco-kabob. Yum.

Nolan watched the kids eat, chuckling from time to time at the obvious enthusiasm that a few of them were showing for the foods. What time was it? Had they all accidentally skipped lunch or something? Hehe. Maybe they were just REALLY REALLY hungry.
"A sign sounds like a great idea," he said with a nod. "And perhaps the foods that people are more likely to be allergic too--like the strawberries and products containing nuts--can be put on at one end of the table. Obviously people can be allergic to ANYTHING but the ones that have a higher chance of someone reacting to them can be placed away from the others." he suggested.
"Continue to try things out...in a bit, we'll start up the ovens and see what you all can cook up," he added with a grin.

Dillon was trying his best to stay away from the sweets but they were calling his name. He found a stash of chocolate covered strawberries and he had 5 in his mouth before he took a breath. This committee was going to be fun. he sampled some shrimp looking thing and some curry chicken satay and it was all really good. It was the sort of food that Pars would have at one of her things.
He turned and looked at Professor Reynolds. "You want us to cook?" he asked with a pork pot sticker inches from his face.

Did Carter just..
Destiny slapped her forehead. She had not thought of adding a MARSHMALLOW to the strawberry! Shoving another strawberry on her skewer, she reached over and grabbed about three marshmallows, shoving them on the skewer as well.
She held the thing over her head, letting out an evil laugh before drowning the strawberry and marshmallows into the chooooocolate fountain. While waiting for her kabob to soak up a lot of chocolate, she quickly glanced at Carter and nodded her head, "That is PERFECT!" she said giving him a thumbs up. Well, it was until he ruined it by shoving it in his mouth.
After only a few seconds, because she was too excited to wait any longer, she pulled the skewer out of the fountain. About to shove it in her mouth, Carter was leaning in and whispering something to her. Destiny leaned in closer to hear what this SECRET was, and she smirked. Yeah, their friends needed to try some of this! "I think you are right!" she whispered back, and without thinking, she shoved the skewer that was in her hand into her pocket..strawberry, marshmallows and chocolate.
Her friends better appreciate this.

Grabbing another skewer she started working on another kabob as Professor Reynolds spoke up. They were going to cook, too! Oh this day just keeps getter better and better!
First chocolate, and now cooking! The only thing she needed now was.. "Professsssor! Can I keep this fountain?"
Because Destiny loved it.

Carter had to cover his mouth he was laughing so hard. "Did you just...?" He had no idea why he was asking... she very obviously just shoved fresh melted chocolate in her robes. Ohhhh... the house elves were going to have fun with that.
He made 6 kabobs and put them on a plate. "We can bubble-head charm them on the way out." he said still whispering. He then made another kabob, this time adding pineapple to the strawberry/marshmallow mix. Pi... nah... bear... mello... kabob... Yeah. That was a good name for it.
Mmmm... this made Carter want s'mores. Maybe they had graham crackers somewhere around here.

At the sound of Carter laughing, Destiny turned her head to see what was so funny. She wanted to laugh too! She gave him a confused look at he started to ask if she did something. "What did I do?" Boys. They made no sense.
Watching as he made some kabob things, she shook her head and leaned in closer to him and whispered, "You said to steal food, not carefully place them on a plate and bubble head charm them!" Would the bubble head charm even work on food? It'd be SWEET if it did, though. Leaning away from the boy, she gave the Professor's a strawberry marshmallow kabob salute and shoved it in her mouth.
She needed a drink now.
Chocolate milk?

Sage left the talking to Nolan for a minute or two as he not so gracefully stuffed his face full of yorkshire puddings. They definitely needed some of these beauties at the ball. Soooo delicious.
"Not hungry?" The Herbology professor asked his colleague with a mouthful of yorkshire puds and a nudge. He'd skipped breakfast and lunch 'specially for this. He might be on the smaller side, but Sage had a healthy appetite.
Mouth still full, an idea struck him, "think we should get one of the kids to take notes?" He'd already forgotten what dishes they said they all approved of.

Chris had been nodding and listening to each of the students' and Professors' ideas on each food dish. He hadn't heard of some of them before and when all of a sudden the small group was surrounded by food dishes, Chris's mouth began to water.
He was reluctant at first but eventually tried each of the foods that the other students said were good. He had taken to standing back and allowing someone else to try it first and then he would do the same, it wasn't cowardice, just sampling to compare ideas.
*glares at dogfood* Chris was actually mortified that that...stuff was even on display. What if someone liked it and picked it for the Ball. He would keep a good eye on that platter and should anyone eat it...he would be giving them a wide range for the next few days. o.O

After shivering one last time at the dog food thought, the Head Boy turned once again as Professor Sage began to talk, a note keeper? That sounded right up his alley, what with him lurking behind and tasting what others had tasted.
"Professor I volunteer to be the notes taker." he said excitedly with his hand raised. Did they have to raise hands here? Chris would, he felt more comfortable that way. Yes.
The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.

Continue to try the food? He hadn't even eaten anything yet! Picking up a strawberry he dipped it into the chocolate with a sticky thing and popped it into his mouth. "So can we add pineapple to that list Sir? It's not a serious reaction I get, I just get splotchy for a week. It's not a big deal I'm probably the only one at Hogwarts with the allergy." he replied, feeling a bit awkward now.
Wait, cooking...again? He'd barely made the cup cakes for homework and they wanted him to cook? Well if it helped the ball he'd do it he figured, wandering up to some food he'd never heard of and looking it over picking some up.

"I meant steal as in take some for them. Not as in let's shove fresh melted chocolate into our robe pockets." Carter said. He had no idea why he actually had to explain that. There was no way that Marie and Evelyn would eat pocket-lint covered chocolate kabobs.
"You want something to drink?" he asked starting to wander away from the table. Chocolate made him thirsty. Now, where were the drinks...?
He headed toward what looked like a bowl of punch when he got distracted with a large bowl of chips and a large bowl of salsa which was right next to shrimp which was right next to what looked like bite-size fried chicken.
"I vote we keep everything on this table." he said before trying the chips and salsa.

Oh my GOSH. Did they really get to cook? CUUUTE. "Do we have enough time, though?" Gold asked, dubiously. What time was it, again? The Gryffindor glanced down at her wrist, and realized she was not wearing her favourite watch. SAD timing, there.
Honestly.
She beamed at Professor Dodson's suggestion. That sounded like a plan! "Maybe we could pass a list around, sir," she suggested. "Everyone could add the name of what they would like to see on the menu, on it. You and Professor Reynolds could go through it latter, to approve and disapprove whatever you want to." She conjured up a quill, and picked it out of the air, twirling the pokey-end cheerfully.

Gold smiled. "Don't worry, often the solutions we seek are pretty easy," she said, gently. She didn't actually have any serious allergies and, that considered, could not say she was able to relate to him, right now. But Gold knew enough to be aware that what doesn't seem like a big deal to one person, can be to another. AND that food allergies should not be treated lightly. They can get pretty bad.

Hehe.
Since Legend seemed to share her love for food, Gold decided she might try out what he was trying. Of course, only as long as he did not try anything that looked like it had once walked and talked in the sea. MUSSELS. Or clams. Eep. Shaking her head at the thought, Gold slowwlyy inched towards the dish Legend seemed to be enjoying and, peeking at it, picked a dumpling with a gloved hand. Which turned out to be completely delicious. "I second that!" She said, swallowing the small bite she had taken. "They have something similar to this in the subcontinent, too. Only, they call it by a variety of local names." STRANGE names.
Gold didn't remember even two of them.
Sad, right?
Speaking of Italian food, was that Gold thought it was? She skipped over, as if pulled by an invisible line. Picking up the spoon that rested next to the two dishes, Gold scooped out a small portion of the delicious-looking ice-cream, and swallowed. Good gosh! Milk, melted sugars, cream, an ever-delicious variety of nuts AND fruit-flavours. This was definitely, definitely what she thought it was! "Sir, sirrr!" She looked up at Professors Dodson and Reynolds with HUGE, green eyes. Well, huge right now, that is. "We need Gelato on the menu. It's like, Italy's ice-cream specialty."
For her.
Gosh, she loved Gelato.
"We could have cheese in bowls, evenly distributed throughout the main table," Gold offered, as she finally managed to tear her eyes away from the Gelato, and focus them on the cheese. Cheese, there is no doubt, is completely yummy. Which was exactly why Gold wanted to try some. But, you know, she didn't want to try out stuff whose taste she was already certain of. Though, that said, cheese DOES come in an awful lot of variety.
Gosh, gosh, gosh. FOOD!
"Biryani" Legend repeated as he continued to chew on the taco. MMMmmm taco. "It's good I like it. I'd go to south Asia to eat it." It was food, and it was good so why not? The fourth year stuffed the rest of the Mexican delicacy in his mouth.
His eyes opened as Red (that's her new name NOW) agreed with him. AWESOME. This girl was smart yup yup. Unfortunately she was a Prefect, sigh...that was a shame.
Gelato. GEEELAATOO. This girl was...THE BEST. And that was saying something...cause she was a girl. Legend would have went up and HUGGED her if....she wasn't a girl...who he didn't really know. "Gelato is my favourite! You and I will get along really well. GOOD job." He couldn't even remember the last time he agreed with a girl.

Oh! Free Willy was allergic to pineapples. He didn't know what? Well you DID learn something new each day. "Don't worry man." Legend said giving him a small slap on the back "I'll look out for you. And all you really need to eat is fish." Was Will getting annoyed with the Free Willy stuff? Naah he was a good sport!!
Legend looked around for more food, he wasn't that hungry anymore but everything looked so tasty. Noticing a dish that looked like fries and something else he walked up to it. There was a small card on it that read the name: Poutine, the ingredents which were just fries, cheese, and gravy, and the place of origin (Canada -Quebec). Grabbing a fry he cautiously put it in his mouth....this tasted....REALLY GOOOD! Better than the taco! He grabbed another fry and looked around for more food.

Gold chuckled. "I've been to South-Asia to eat it," she said, with a quirky, little smile at his comment. Someone had told her Legend Chosen was trouble. She had never had a chance to properly get to know him, other than seeing the guy around; but, you know, it didn't actually look that way. Either that, or she tended to get along with trouble-makers.
Which, come to think of it, she did.
Oh, well. THAT can happen, can't it?
"Thanks," she said, half-smiling again. No one could possibly not love Gelato. Gold eyed the delicious ice-cream, wanting to take another tiny scoop. But she knew there was a reason she was only trying one or two bites, of each dish. She didn't have a giant-sized tummy! Not to mention, some foods aren't exactly compatible. Chocolate and chicken? Please, no. Not together. So yes, there was a reason Gold was only eating smaaaalll bites, of whatever she tried. She didn't want to be sick, afterwards.
She skipped after Legend, to a dish of fries and cheese. OHMYGOSH! Cheese! This HAD to be yummy. Gold poked a fork into the dish, to pick out a small blob of cheese. Hehe. Picky, much?
But YUM.

All people she didn't know, and she was the only one that didn't belong there.
Gold looked up when she heard a new voice, to see Violet. "Hey, Violet!" She waved to the girl, before nodding to show that this, indeed, was the Food Committee. "You're at the right place." She didn't say anything else, though. Professor Lawson's question was for Professors Reynolds and Dodson to tackle, and definitely not her job.
There was other stuff she could do, though. Such as thinking up ways of getting rid of the strong flavour of cheese, in her mouth. Not that Gold had a problem with cheese. She loved it, in fact. It was just that she didn't want the next dish she tried, to taste all cheese-like, or different than what it was supposed to taste.
Conjuring up parchment and a self-inking quill, Gold pressed the latter to the surface of the former, to jot down a few notes. To, you know, remember what she had tried here and liked. Because she knew there was the chance she might forget a few names. She didn't want to. In fact, she wanted to write home about them, and tell her dad how awesome some of the dishes she had tried out here, were. SOOOO he could take her to the respective countries and she could try out the cuisine in its original home-place. That would be any real food-lover's haven!
SPOILER!!: Gold's self-help =D

Tucking the quill behind an ear, Gold looked up at Professors Reynolds and Dodson. Who, hopefully, had no problem with the fact that she had been busy scribbling away, and not helping out with the sampling. "Now I won't forget what I've tried out, or what was available here," she offered, holding out the list as a way of explanation. She wasn't trying to not pay attention, or be bad. Oh, and she had a question, now!
"Professors, are the Hogwarts house-elves going to make all this?"
Or was it going to be, say, especially brought in from somewhere? That wouldn't actually be hard, with magic. Thoughts like that made Gold really, really glad she was a witch.

"It'd be great if you could take some notes, Chris," Sage decided after more glances at Nolan. "If you could list what you and everyone else takes a strong fancy too." They didn't want to put out foods that made people vomit after all.

"We should be alright for time," the Herbology professor said, a little unsure with his answer however as he eyed his watch. Did anyone have a Time Turner available? Eh.
He gave his beard a scratch as he glanced at the yorkshire puddings some more. He hoped they were put on the list..

Professor Dodson smiled at the music committee messenger. "You can let Professor Lawson know that we're going for a more buffet type set up, so it's more casual than fancy." Would that mean there wouldn't be fancy music?

Sage had caught a glimpse of Gold's list over her shoulder, and nodded in approval. Wow, that was quite some list. "Think you can add yorkshire puds to that..?" He asked with hushed tones. Ahem.
And she had a good question too. How come this one wasn't a Ravenclaw?
"The house-elves will indeed be helping," he nodded in reply, "they get awfully excited at the prospect of making all these different dishes that it would be cruel to deny them. I think they'd get offended if we hired a caterer."

Violet smiled at Gold and then turned to Professor Dodson. "Okay, thank you professor!" she said as she walked out and walked towards the Library again.
List forgotten with the appearance of food, Wesley was nodding to everything everyone was saying as she browsed the different selections of food.
Picking out some random grey stuff and a spoon, the Hufflepuff shoveled a large portion into her mouth.
And gagged.
The flavorless goop stuck to the roof of her mouth, refusing to budge as she attacked it with her tongue. Desperately reaching for the nearest drink, Wesley held it to her mouth and chugged. With some serious swishing, the glob loosened, and soon joined the strawberry drink in her stomach.
Wide-eyed with relief, ignorant of her pink smoothie mustache, the Hufflepuff raised her lifesaver in the air, "I think we should have this!"
Sage had caught a glimpse of Gold's list over her shoulder, and nodded in approval. Wow, that was quite some list. "Think you can add yorkshire puds to that..?" He asked with hushed tones. Ahem.

Gold chuckled. "Sure, sir," she said, picking the quill out of the air, and scribbling what Professor Sage had asked her to, down. She gave him a happy, little smile, before listening to what he had to say. But of course. The house-elves would want to help out, that was so them.
Though that made Gold wonder, if they would be able to get the dishes down correctly. She had never, ever eaten house-elf-cooked biryani. That would definitely be a new experience.

Blake was bustling around the kitchen, checking out the various cuisines from all over the world but not quite finding the sweet that he had been searching for. With all the mouthwatering food staring at him, it was rather hard to focus however luckily, he found it right when he was about to end his hunt.
"I think this sweet will be a very nice addition to the menu. It's called a Daifuku and its origin is Japan." He announced as he reached for the cute rice cakes which he had tried at Art's home before the start of this term.
Diggy looked over the list Gold had made and he frowned. There were a lot of desserts on the menu. He raised his hand, "Um since we don't have a lot of desserts can't we have like fried twinkies or something. Its something they make in the States. Or banana pudding, or apple turnovers." And he totally loved all those desserts.

Nolan watched as they all ate their foods, smiling to himself at how excited everyone was over the prospect of all this planning. "Ok guys, I know we've done a lot of taste testing but...if there is a dish here that you DON'T see and you'd WANT to see, feel free to use the kitchen here to cook it up for everyone! Or, if you don't really know how to cook it, let us know and we'll try to help you," he explained. "We can't use alllll the foods, but once we have them all laid out we'll decide how to agree upon which ones will make the final cut," he added.
"There's plenty of ingredients in here, so go for it!" he said, taking a step back to allow them room to like...make stuff. "Apparently, we need more desserts," he added, grinning and winking at the young Slytherin who had suggested all the sweet stuff. MMMM SUGAR.
OOC: From this point forward, if you'd like to suggest a food please RP your charrie making it, rather than just RPing like it was there the whole time, like we've been doing. Just please, no one catch on fire! ;P Hehe. Thanks!
