"And perhaps the foods that people are more likely to be allergic too--like the strawberries and products containing nuts--can be put on at one end of the table. Obviously people can be allergic to ANYTHING but the ones that have a higher chance of someone reacting to them can be placed away from the others." he suggested. "Continue to try things out...in a bit, we'll start up the ovens and see what you all can cook up," he added with a grin. Quote:

"Not hungry?" The Herbology professor asked his colleague with a mouthful of yorkshire puds and a nudge. He'd skipped breakfast and lunch 'specially for this. He might be on the smaller side, but Sage had a healthy appetite.
Mouth still full, an idea struck him, "think we should get one of the kids to take notes?" He'd already forgotten what dishes they said they all approved of. Oh my GOSH. Did they really get to cook? CUUUTE. "Do we have enough time, though?" Gold asked, dubiously. What time was it, again? The Gryffindor glanced down at her wrist, and realized she was not wearing her favourite watch. SAD timing, there.
Honestly.
She beamed at Professor Dodson's suggestion. That sounded like a plan! "Maybe we could pass a list around, sir," she suggested. "Everyone could add the name of what they would like to see on the menu, on it. You and Professor Reynolds could go through it latter, to approve and disapprove whatever you want to." She conjured up a quill, and picked it out of the air, twirling the pokey-end cheerfully. Quote:

Gold smiled. "Don't worry, often the solutions we seek are pretty easy," she said, gently. She didn't actually have any serious allergies and, that considered, could not say she was able to relate to him, right now. But Gold knew enough to be aware that what doesn't seem like a big deal to one person, can be to another. AND that food allergies should not be treated lightly. They can get pretty bad.
