He didn't know what was going on, his head was throbbing and he just knew he had made a huge git of himself. In front of Professor Carlton. Crumbs!
Maybe if he just laid there no one would pay him any attention, but he heard voices. He moved slighty just to let everyone know that he wasn't totally knocked out. But then he heard her voice. It sounded like a chocolate river flowing over warm, fresh baked cookies. In other words. It sounded like pure nirvana. He slowly opened his brown eyes and her face was filling up his field of vision, "Am I in heaven?" he whispered. If he was all he needed was a cheeseburger and his comic book collection and a lifetime supply of candy. He couldn't make his head work all he was thinking about cotton candy and Professor Carlton.
And there was the girl that liked his apron. She was really nice, he would have to give her a piece of candy, not the ones he had been experimenting on that might turn her yellow for a week or something, but just a piece of candy to be nice. He gave her a lopsided grin as he tried to make his eyes focus.
Oh god Selena was setting him up. She was moving him too soon and he felt the world swaying before his eyes. He looked at the blue canaries circling his head. "Candy," he told her simply. He didn't know if he could manage any other words without passing out. He had a throbbing headache.
If he knew hurting himself was a good way to meet girls he would have started doing that last term. All these girls concerned about his welfare was really nice and his eyes misted up at the thought that so many people cared about him. He tried to hid his tears, it wasn't good to cry in front of girls. But he couldn't help it. They were being really sweet.
Selena sighed. "Please don't cry," Selena said. Gosh, she hated it when people cry, she started crying for no reason too... "Professor Crumbs, I think he should go to the infirmary," Selena said aloud. He really didn't look well. "Don't go to sleep, you might have a concussion," Selena told him. She really, really, really, really hoped he was alright... At least his candy experiment worked... right?
Chris chuckled a bit as the Hufflepuff began to do a little victory dance. "Oh you are welcome---" he said for he didn't know the boy's name yet. "Also you can call me Chris, ok?" he grinned. Mr. Headboy made his face burn and that was not what he wanted to look like right now in the middle of class.
What was next? He tried to remember how Professor Carlton had put the directions and then spoke up. "Oh ok, well after you have the bowl hovering, use the spell Locomotor Spoon, and then make a stirring motion with you wand. It will then stir that way until you want to finish it." he took a breath and then continued. "Ok lastly you will point your wand at the bowl and spoon and end the magic using Finite. Be careful though, that will make the bowl and spoon fall so be sure to catch it." he nodded. "Then you are DONE!" he clapped excitedly. "And we will wait to be told what to do next."
Simon looked at the boy. "Okay Chris." Simon had a feeling he didn't like the Mister Headboy sir.
"Locomotor Spoon." Simon said and for once the spell worked, he made the stiring motion with the spoon, he did that for a couple of minutes before stopping.
"Finate." Simon said as he did the spell again, but he didn't catch it in time it fell onto the table with a BANG. "I'm so sorry Chris." Simon said as he hoped that the Prefect so that he had tried to catch it.
Then the Professor said about working in groups. "Chris can I work with you?" He hoped that Chris would let him since he would have some help then.
Delilah pointed her wand for the second time. "Wingardium Leviosa." She smiled when they started to float. "Fixate." Yes! She was really starting to get the hang of things.

Definatley, do you know how to the wingardium thingy? Amy asked deperatley as she tried again and the spoon shot up in the air, flipping in the air

Santi let the books fly past without taking one for two reasons. One, he had an aversion to textbooks and two, because he already knew an amazing recipe off by heart. So far he was enjoying this class for he was able to mix two of his favorite things - baking and charms.
He started by setting the oven to 350 and taking out muffin trays and lining them with paper liners using magic. He wondered, should I go ahead or get a partner? Decisions, decisions...

Maddie took a book, and turned to the correct page. she picked out a recipe for Chocolate Angel Food Cakes, and began to work. OK, egg whites and salt into the bowl, and levitate.
'Wingardium Leviosa!' she said, and up went the bowl 'Fixate!', and it stopped. Good! Then she took a whisk, and started turning her wand clockwise, quite fast. 'Locomotor Whick!' she called, and up it went, beating the two together, until they became foamy, at which point she stopped 'Finite!' she said, and the beating ceased. Then, she added sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. She started to stir agaiin, but slower. Once it was stiff, she again stopped, and brought the bowl down, setting it on the counter.

Selena decided to make Key Lime Cupcakes. They sounded delicious. But then again... chocolate sounded good as well. Selena wondered if she should get a partner to work with... it would make it much more easier... Selena bit her lower lip and continued to flip through the recipes. She'd decide later...

Baking? Fun!! Becca knew how to bake, so this was probably her favorite assignment to date. Turning in all directions, Becca's eyes landed on ... KEVIN!!! She hadn't seen him in a whole YEAR! "Hey, Kev! How was your trip? How've you been? Did you miss Hogwarts? Did you find the perron who you were looking for? Wanna work together?" Becca couldn't help but be excited.
[textcut="-Bambi-"]Lexi levitated a stack of Enchantments in Baking around the room. "When the books pass you by, please grab a copy and turn to page 317. This is where you'll find several cupcake recipes. Find a partner or a small group to work with---or work alone if you'd prefer, and between or among yourselves, decide which type of cupcakes you'd like to bake," she explained.
She took her wand motioned towards the back of the room. "All the ingredients and equipment you'll need are in the back of the room. You can go ahead and get started when you're ready, but remember, I want to see you making use of the combination of charms we've just practiced. If you need me for anything, I'll be circulating the room," she said. She waved her free hand in the direction of the ingredients and equipment, encouraging the students to go ahead and get started.
OOC: The cupcake recipes I linked you to are just suggestions. If you can find a different recipe online that you'd rather use, feel free to go ahead and do so. Just remember to use the charm for full credit. Also, the lesson won't start to wrap up anytime soon (to allow all timezones a change to participate), so take your time baking your cupcakes and using the charm. For full credit, it should take you more than a few posts to roleplay baking your cupcakes.

Adelyn had been doing a wonderful job keeping up with this lesson, and she smiled happily to herself as she completed all the spells and instructions correctly. As another direction was given, she adjusted her yellow appron and started flipping open her book to the right page. She decided to use the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes; her mother used to make those for her all the time. Then, with a determined smile on her face, Adelyn began gathering everything she'd need to make her cupcakes.
"Hmm...somewhat. The combination of charms we've been practicing levitates, fixes in place, then causes something to turn. You could definitely use variations of the charm for other things, though, like the chopping you mentioned" she answered. "For instance, earlier I mentioned the charm being able to cause dishes to wash themselves. That's a situation where you'd use levitation, fixing in place, then turning...for the washrag." Of course with washing dishes, there was a way to charm the dishes to put themselves away once they were clean, but that would be another day and another time. "Good thinking..."
Heaven...Lexi sort of wanted to answer that with a yes, but only because there were cupcakes being baked. She studied the Greenwood for a minute, trying to decide if he was alright or not. He seemed okay...if he could ask about being in heaven and all. "Are you alright, Mr. Greenwood? Do you need the healer?" she asked. Seeing that Dillon seemed to be alright, Lexi decided to go ahead and get the rest of the class started on the baking process while she tended to Dillon.

He shook his head. Coming out of his sugary fantasy. "I'm," He couldn't remember what he wanted to say. His face screwed up as he tried to remember the English language. His tongue wouldn't work right. "K" that was all he could manage to get out. He wondered if Professor Carlton liked chocolate frogs.

He wiped at his face trying to hide the tears. This was just great. "Oh no I'm alright, My eyes were just stinging," he didn't want anyone to think he just cried for no reason. He let Selena help him stand up and he swayed a bit. But no way was he going to the hospital wing. He gave her a weak smile, "Hey I'm alright," he really touched that Selena cared so much about him. She was a really good friend. He would have to do something special for her. It was the least he could do.

The bowl fell safely in her hand, and her spoon didn't even fall out like Evelyn's. "No Evelyn. I will not trade with you."
If that's what her friend was thinking.
It was like her friend could read her mind. "But Destiny..." she whined quietly. Her spoon was so much better though! Just like those sprinkles or whatever during that Astronomy class last term. Whatever though. She'd just have to use her own spoon. Or somehow switch them when Destiny wasn't looking.
Taking a book as it passed by, she placed it on the table and opened it up. Wow, a lot of cupcake recipes. Wait, they could partner with someone?! EekGasp! "Destiny. Do you want to partner? Or...work alone."

Selena arched an eyebrow. She was not convinced. She helped him steady himself and sighed. "You really ought to be me careful next time," Selena scolded lightly, "but are you really sure you don't need to see the nurse?" Selena asked worriedly. The last thing she needed was someone dying on her. "But if you're alright, do you wanna work on the assignment with me?" Selena asked.

Teegan listened carefully to her and wrote a few more notes underneath her list of instructions with her teal pen in her notebook. She nodded her head and took a book as they levitated past her. She bit her lip wondering if they were supposed to bring the book with them at the beginning of class or not. She didn't think much more of it as she turned to page three hundred and seventeen to see the directions for cupcakes. She let out a deep breath and looked at the girl beside her.

Abby grabbed a book that was levitating toward her and pulled it down from the air. She plopped it down on the table and flipped to the page that the professor had instructed them to. Tiiiime to bake! Yay, cuz they never did anything like this at Salem. Nope.
Hmm. 'Red Velvet Cupcakes' sounded really yummy. But maybe a bit too advanced? She flipped to the next page. 'Easy Cupcake Recipe.' Yep, that sounded more like it. She looked around the room. It seemed another girl had already asked Iron Man apron dude to be her partner. Ah well. There had to be someone here that she knew and/or wanted to be her partner.

And she did not want to be like that woman.

CUPCAKES
Just what Mina had on her mind. It had to be a sign or something. This was definitely going to be a great lesson, she just knew it now. Taking time to jot down everything, she then moved on to the bowl and spoon.
Setting the spoon in the bowl, she reached for her wand. She hadn't really been working on her wandwork over the summer, but she was pretty sure she wouldn't have too many issues with it. Lifting her wand, she pointed it toward the bowl. With a swish and flick, she cast Wingardium Leviosa.
The bowl slowly started to levitate and just as it make its way to about a foot up, she lightly tapped the side of the bowl. "Fixate"
The bowl stopped and continued to float. Not bad, she thought to herself as she looked up to the board for the next step. Bitting her lip, she raised her wand again and pointed for the spoon. Slowly, she moved her wand in a smooth circular manner and cast Locomotor spoon. The spoon slowly started to mimic the action.
Success
Watching her handiwork, she smiled to herself. It wasn't as hard as she thought it would be. Hearing Professor Carlton, she raised her wand again and cast Finite. Thinking quickly, she moved her arms forward and caught the bowl and spoon before it crashed into the counter below.
Reaching for a book as it came by, she flipped to the page and ran her finger down the recipes. Which one would she pick? Finding one, she jotted it down quickly and made a list of all the things she needed. Looking up from her list, she looked around. Now, did she want to work alone or with someone else?
Chris watched on as Simon did his spellwork correctly and everything for that matter...until the bowl spoon crashed to the counter. He had missed catching it, but luckily it didn't break. The Head Boy was thankful for that because what they were doing now he would not want to have to miss. They were going to be able to cook CUPCAKES?!!!
Chris shook his head as Simon began to appologize. "Don't worry about it, it's no big deal. Nothing is broken so we are ok." he assured the Hufflepuff as he caught a floating Cook Book as the stack passed their table. Chris absently flipped through the book and came across a recipe that literally made his jaw drop. "Peanut Butter and Chocolate cupcakes! hey Simon you want to do these ones with me?" he asked excitedly. He really wanted to eat those cupcakes now!!!

But STILL! She wanted Destiny's!!
Fine. Pouting Frowning, she set the spoon and bowl down on the table before leaning against it and flipping through the pages. No low fat stuff. How in the world could a cup cake be low fat though? Well, what do you know! There was an actual recipe for one too. Huh.
But no. She was not going to choose that one. Flipping a few more pages, her eyes widened at one of the words that caught her eye. Weird name for a cupcake. "How about this one? Angel Food Cupcake." she asked, looking up at Destiny and pointing to the recipe.
Definatley, do you know how to the wingardium thingy? Amy asked deperatley as she tried again and the spoon shot up in the air, flipping in the air
"Yeah. Like this... Watch my wand." Delilah moved her wand slowly so Amy could take note of the movements. "Wingardium Leviosa." When she said the spell the spoon lifted off the table and started to float.

Simon smiled at Chris, he was relieved that Chris would work with him, he was excited. "WOOT." He did another little jig, he couldn't believe he would get to work with the Headboy, he should be able to do it perfectly now, the headboy must know everything, right, that's why he was the headboy of course.
Simon looked when Chris mentions cookies. "I LOVE COOKIES." Simon squelled with delight. "They sould yummy, so what do we have to do first?" Simon wanted to start baking, this sounded like fun.

She smiled at Teegan. "My name is Victoria." Then, she wrote down the notes that the professor gave them. "Um...which cupcake do you think we should do?"
