Well, if it this lesson wasn't about the Coloring Changing Charm, why they were studying the incantation and spell in the first place? Buuuut, Ced was grateful--like seriously--that they could change their simple, white apron into something more stylish.
So in order to change his boring-looking apron--yep, the white apron looked boring and another reason why he wanted to change it was because he didn't want people to see how untidy could his apron be after they finished cooking, and so he performed the charm, swishing his wand to the right, then to the left in circular motion with enough power and focus.
"Colorus Revolvo Yellow and Black Stripes!"
Yep, that was how he wanted his apron to look like 'cause color combinations were trendy and not boring b-but the charm didn't seem to work that well but he was certain he performed the spell really well. Weiiiiird. But wait, he thought it had worked, seeing that there were black and yellow circles sparsely scattered all over the apron.

Pam had finished taking down her notes and was looking at people who were changing their aprons into the colours they liked. "That seems fun. Maybe I should give it a try too." She liked pretty much anything that had to do with colours. She walked slowly to the box of plain white aprons and picked out one which was her size, before taking it back to the table she was sitting at earlier on. "What colour shall I change my apron to?" She thought to herself for a moment. She had wanted purple but many others had already changed theirs to purple and she didn't feel like it anymore. After she had decided,She took out her wand and swished it to the right, then to the left in a circular motion while she said "Colorus Revolvo Grey!" Her apron slowly turned from white to shade of grey. "Sweet!" She thought to herself, looking at the grey apron. It wasn't really eye catching or bright, but she thought it still looked pretty nice. She was rather satisfied at the result of the apron and tied the apron around her waist while she waited for further instructions

"Those are excellent suggestions, and lots of them relate to what we'll be doing in class today. House points to everyone who shared a suggestion!" she said, lowering the chalk and dropping her wand to her side. With the second list done, Lexi turned back to the class. A few people had either asked a question or made a point that she wanted to address. "Go ahead and add that second list to your notes. You'll need it for homework, too." "You're exactly right about that. Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration tells us that we can't produce food out of thin air. We can, however, move food, change food, or use other objects to help us with our food," she explained. Merlin, all that talk about food was making Lexi weaker by the moment---she wanted cupcakes! "Magic can most definitely make our lives easier, which leads me to...those," she said, using her wand to point out a box of aprons near the front of the classroom. Walking over to the box, Lexi pulled out a plain white apron. She directed her wand towards the apron, swished it the right, then swished it in a circular motion to the left. "Colorus Revolvo Pink!" she said.
...and that explained how the professor's apron had turned that pretty pink color. "Now this lesson isn't about the Coloring Changing Charm, but if you'd like, you may use it to change your white apron to the color of your choice," she said. ...and yes, she'd just said your apron, which meant she wanted the students to wear aprons for this lesson, as well. "Come on up and find an apron in your size. If you like the white color, then so be it, but you can take a few minutes to change its color, too. Come on now...you, too, boys," she added, waving her hand in the general direction of the box. "Remember to do your swishes in flicks in all the right directions, too. You'll likely end up with some atrocious, snot-colored getup otherwise," she said. Sigh...unless of course someone preferred a green and brown mixture. Eww. "Swish to the right, then swish to the left in a circular motion. The incantation is Colorus Revolvo, plus the name of the color you choose." OOC: I'm going to stop here (for a little while) to allow some people from other timezones to catch up. In the meantime, you may roleplay your character getting an apron and working with the Color Changing Charm. Iris listened to all the class as they gave their ideas and suggestions, and then looked to the box of aprons. She listened to the instructions Professor Cartlon was giving them and smiled brightly. She already knew that charm. hehe.
She got up from her seat and went to find an apron in the box. Most of the ones that would've fit her well were gone. Eventually though, she found one that fit her perfectly. YAY!
She took it back to her seat and took out her wand... Now... What colour?
House Pride?
There was little to be proud about the Slytherin House so far this term, though. Still, she was PROUD of being what a Slytherin was really meant to be.
So her apron would be green.
But there were OTHERS in green aprons, too, from the look of it. Damn.
She didn't want to look the same as everyone else though. She wanted hers to be different.
POLKA DOTS!
Iris loved polka dots!
She'd use them. hehe. Quote:

He looked around at the others to see their colours. One girl thought of green AND silver. Somehow, the others hadn't thought of that. They were only doing solid colours. Looking back at the apron held before him he thought of turning it green with pink polka dots.
Smiling, he held out his wand, swished it right then the full circle left and said, "Colorus Revolvo Green with Pink Polka Dots!"
Hee hee.
Oh. Wait. Some other, older guy had made his pink. Well, now that ruins it. Well, not entirely. Jimbo's had polka dots. As Iris raised her wand to cast the spell, she looked over the bench at Jimbo (ooc = lets pretend he's sat a few seats down from her.), Who'd JUST that minute changed his colour.
Green. With pink Polka dots.
Awww, man. That's not fair.
She grinned at Jimbo, "Hey! You stole my polka dots idea!" She said to him, pretending to pout (and failing. She can't pout.) "I'm still going to do it."
She looked back to her apron and lifted her wand back to it, swishing it right and then a full circle to the left, whilst saying, "Colourus Revolvo Green with big, WHITE Polka Dots!" Whoo! It looked awesome.
House Pride with Polka Dots. What else could be better than that?
She looked back to Jimbo, "What do you think, My white polka dots, or your... pink... ones?" *cheeky grin* Iris looked around the class, to see what other colours people had chosen.
Obviously, Satines would be purple. Iris couldn't see her Eagle friend, though. There were lots of people. Uh huh.

Celandine fetched an apron sat down and swished her wand appropriately at it. Colorus Revolvo Blue. She concentrated silently and watched her apron change. Hum. It needed something else. Quietly Cela cast Risona, conjuring some pink ribbons, which she proceeded to attach with a stitching charm.
This kitchen magic thing wasn't so bad!

Evan took down his notes. And there was a lot of notes to take, so he guessed the homework would be long too. Sigh. He didn't know why he was bothering in the first place. Slytherin wouln't even see the house cup in their dreams. It was that far away. Still he took notes, obeyed the rules and answered questions. Because he liked charms, although it didn't like him these days.
He got up to get an apron. He had to try a few to find the right one. Then returning to his place, he didn't even have to think about the colour, it was of course going to be blue, not Ravenclaw at all but the colour of Chelsea FC. He paused though. Many people would think he wore blue for his love for Ravenclaw, not for Chelsea, because they didn't know it. Maybe it'd be better to wear green, for this time. But, peeking about the room, there were a few that wore green. He was not going to be a copycat. He'd have his apron half blue and half white, and no one could accuse him of being Raven-ish. So, swishing his wand to first right, and then left in a circular movement, he said "Colorus revolvo blue and white." with a picture of blue and white striped apron. There. Grinning, he put it on and waited for further instructions.

She was a bit nervous about this class at the moment, she was an excellent chef, by muggle standards, but using a wand would switch things up a bit. Quote:

Oh. Wait. Some other, older guy had made his pink. Well, now that ruins it. Well, not entirely. Jimbo's had polka dots. She giggled as she resumed her spot at her table and tied the apron behind her back. She still had his very beloved sock in her dorm room nestled in her trunk where no one could find it.
Teegan picked up her wand and thought for a moment what color she wanted her apron to be, nothing too flashy or anything that would draw attention to herself....teal, teal would be a safe color. "Colorus Revolvo Teal." she said as she raised her wand, and her apron changed instantly to a nice medium of teal. She smiled as she placed her wand in the apron pocket and looked back up towards the professor to see what to do next.

After writing down the notes from the board, Marie went up and got an apron out of the box. It's a good thing the professor said they could change the color because ewww, who would want to wear plain white. She would make hers green with silver swirls. Yes, green was her favorite color and well, the silver would make it look all Slytherinish.
Holding the apron up she did the swishing, circular wand movements. "Colorus revolvo green with silver swirls." Holding up the apron to inspect it Marie smiled at how it turned out. She put it on as she walked beck to her work station.
Once back at her work station she looked at Destiny and Evelyns aprons, they seemed to have had the same idea as her. Evelyn's was green with silver stripes and Destiny's was.... greenish with splalshes that looked more... gray than they did silver. Leave it to Destiny to find a way to make hers look unique.
Catching a flash of blue out of the corner of her eye she turned to see... Evan, and he was wearing a blue and white apron. Well of course he would wear blue and white, everything he owned was the color of his favorite stupid football team. Then a thought crossed her mind... what if he was wearing blue because now he secretly wanted to be a Ravenclaw. She had seen him around Mina a lot lately... maybe she was his new girlfriend... maybe... no, she wasn't going to think about that. She shouldn't care what he did or who he dated, she wasn't his girlfriend anymore, it shouldn't bother her what he did or who he dated. After all, she had Carter now and he made her very happy.
She turned back towards the professor and waited for further instructions.

She knew, of course, what colour she wanted for her apron. No doubt, there.
Once she had caaaarefully picked one out, she headed back to her desk and held it up, in the light, to see. It was nothing special, a plain apron, white in colour. Well, not for much longer. "Colorus Revolvo the!Cutest!Pink!Ever," she chuckled, before giving the charm a proper shot - swish to the right, swish to the left in a circular motion - and watching her apron turn all warm and fuzzy and cute!pink. Therrrrre.
Now it looked like hers.
She slipped into it, and then tapped her wand at the side, to print the words "Gold Laksh" on the side, in red-and-gold lettering. Nothing permanent, of course. One flick of a wand, and the wording would no longer be there. Because, you know, the apron didn't belong to her.
Not permanently. Lexi circled the room a few times, watching the students create nice shades of just about every color imaginable. Some of them, she had to admit, made her pretty pink apron look...well, not as interesting as she once thought it was. She thought about individually changing each little pocket to be a different color...you know, just to jazz it up a little...but she'd save that for another day and another time.
Hearing her name being called, she turned towards Gold, the Gryffindor prefect---or, one of them, at least. "That's exactly what I'd like for you to do, Miss Laksh. The list on the board," she said, waving her wand towards the two lists they'd created, "are just examples of the many, many ways magic has made our lives easier. Go ahead and add anything else you can come up with." Quote:

"Mister....," she started to say, but she stopped short when she realized she didn't exactly know the boy's name. Lexi and learning names went together like...sugar quills and salmon. "I'm guessing you have a good reason for being late, hmm? Class begins at this time," she said, tapping the clock with her wand. "House points will be deducted next time. For now, go and get yourself an apron and have one of your classmates show you the Color Changing Charm. Notes are on the board..." Quote:

This kitchen magic thing wasn't so bad! Ribbons...Lexi wanted ribbons, too. Again, though, that would have to be saved for another day and another time. Most of the students, if not all of them, had snagged an apron and changed its color, so Lexi thought it was a good time to go ahead and move on. She gave the Head Girl an approving smile, then returned to the front of the classroom. "If you haven't already gotten an apron and changed it to whatever color you wanted it to be, hurry and do so now," she said, addressing the class. "If you're all set to go, go ahead and return to your seat and let's get ready to move on." As she talked, she distributed a wooden spoon and a mixing bowl to each of the students. "Wands out, please!"

Perhaps Destiny should have changed her apron color. It was UGLY! Even Marie, who had stolen the same idea as Evelyn, had a better looking apron than she did. Pffft. Splatters of green and sliver. Silver that looked gray. Woe is the life of this apron!
Wands out! Wooot!
Destiny stuck her hand into her pocket to extract her wand but..it wasn't there! Oh Merlin! She had LOST it! Pushing her chair out, she stood up and looked under the table for the lost wand. Not there either. She just had it! How else did she change her apron's color? As the Professor placed a bowl and spoon in front of her, Destiny realized she had never put her wand away in the first place.
Whoops. It was on the table still.
Sitting back down, she pulled in her chair, and grabbed her wand from the table.
Hey! Her bowl was EMPTY!

Melissa listened to Professor Carlton's instructions. She returned to her seat and looked at the wooden spoon and mixing bowl with a smile. Finally. Then she got her wand out and prepared for the next instructions.

Nymphy sat down and got his wand out. This was his favorite place, he was in his elemant! Charms was, after all, his best subject and he excelled greatly at it.

"Wands out, please!" Teegan sat down at her spot once the Professor started speaking again. She was annoyed that the Ravenclaw had come in so late and interrupted the class...providing that they weren't in a lecture or anything, but still, you didn't just show up like that. In her mind, Teegan just assumed that if you were running THAT late you'd just not come to class at all.
She sat there and furrowed her eyebrows in wonderment as the Professor started passing out a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon to each of the student. "Thank you Ma'am." Teegan smiled at the professor through her Greek accent when she received her mixing bowl and spoon.
