"No... you may take an extra one to try it if you'd like. And no as I've said before, this potion is not harmful, unless you become huge, and don't take the antidote in a week." she repeated. "This is safe."

"Very well..." she tapped the board for the ingredient list:

1 gallon of Troll Blubber
1 bicorn horn
6 Krispe Kreme
3 puffer fish eyes
10 drops of insuline
1 fluxweed plant
.5 liter of bubotuber slime
8 horned slugs
5 tubeworms
3 drops of Re'em blood
1 bottle of butterbeer
1 drop of sea serpent venom
a strand of veela hair
a chocolate, or any type of candy to taste.

She smiled. "The Krispe Kremes are on the table by the ingredient cupboard, please take 6 for the potion and one extra to taste if you wish. The veela hair I have on my desk. Now go retrieve your ingredients." She said.

Whoa.

Professor Lafay = awesome. They got a free doughnut each, if they wished for it! Gold grinned at the thought, and decided she was hungry. RIGHT now. Hehehe. Rising to her feet, she headed over to Professor Lafay's desk, to acquire the veela hair.

"How does veela hair help, professor?" She asked, politely. It would come under the label of 'pretty,' and not 'ugly,' no?

She glanced at the doughnuts, as she spoke. Nobody had better mess up that table! Gold wanted a CLEAN doughnut for herself, thank you very much. She was sooo not going to get any, at least not any extra one, if people poked around with dirty hands and made a mess.

Yep.

Free doughnuts~ Professor Lafay was officially her favorite professor ever. Selena went to get the necessary ingredients. She sighed as she looked at the yummy doughnuts at the table and took seven. Holding back the temptation to take more. Rawrs. After her vacation in New York, she had fallen in love with them...Foooood. And it was loaded with sugar. Hehehe. She gathered the ingredients and placed them on her desk. Even the seventh doughnut. She'd eat it later.

Okay, too awesome. All the students familiar with these kinds of dough-nuts thought they were spectacular spectacular so he was looking forward to sampling one, especially in case he were to become fattened and burned up by the professor witch shortly thereafter.

Eli rushed up to the professor's desk and grabbed a veela hair, then a second one for Ellie. He went to the back of the room and began to gather items including the 7 crispy-cremes. They smelled awfully good.

Eli took his supplies back to his desk, putting the extra veela hair on Ellie's desk. He inspected the dough-nuts. They were covered with a thin layer of crunchy sugary stuff. He sniffed one, then licked it.

Oh my yum.

He took a bite;DELICIOUS! It melted in his mouth. It was gone almost as soon as it hit his tongue. Another bite was necessary. Yum yum yum oh hey, where'd my dough-nut go? He licked his fingers. Mmmm.

There was only one thing to be done. After all, he didn't really want to get TOO fat. A potion with only five crispy-cremes in it would still probably chub him up nicely.

Chomp chomp yum yum yum.

Two doughnuts gone... five left.

It probably wouldn't hurt the potion too much if he just took a little tiny bit off that one... It seemed extra big anyway.

Noir walked into the ingredient cupboard to take the ingredients for the potion..and then she walked to take the last ingredients doughnuts.."Doughnuts..??I never liked sweet food..I hope the potion won't smell like doughnuts..it'll be awful for me" she said to herself..

Noir walked into Professor desk to take the veela hair and when all the ingredients complete, she sat down in her seat and waited the next instruction..

Zane grabbed his materials, taking his seventh doughnut, and munching on it. "Whoa...that's really sweet." he said, taken aback. He set all of his ingredients on his desk and waited on further instructions.

Willow got up from her seat and grabbed six of the doughnuts and the veela hair from the professor's desk. She put those ingredients at her work station and went back to the cupboard to retrieve the rest. When she went back to her station, she took out her notebook and began writing out the ingredients for the potion.

Alex rolled her eyes grabbing the Potion Ingredients first before heading back and grabbing.. seven Krispe Kreame.. she would give it it to Zane. She set them down in the order they would be used setting the seventh Krispe Kreame near Zane.. he could so have it if he wanted, she wasn't one for getting her hands messy.. and didn't like overly sweet, sweets. This would be an interesting class to say the least.

Nia caught that smile. And thankfully, it wasn't a cynical one. As for not ingesting Erumpent horn fluid, that was relief. Nia knew it was dangerous, but thought there might be a possibility of using it in very low concentrations. But the sounds of things though, she was very relieved to find out it wasn't in the potion.

As for how the potion worked, that seemed fairly straightforward. She would have asked how fast acting it was, but Nia figured it was probably best not to interrupt now the lesson was in full swing. Maybe later.
Doughnuts? The potion had doughnuts?

She eyed them at the front desk. The Potions Professor had set people on fire, made them all bald...and yet, was giving away doughnuts. Surely there was a catch? She watched others take the extra to try, but only took the 6 required for the potion herself. She didn't need the extra anyway, after her massive plate of pasta. That'd make her feel utterly sick during practice, if the thought of troll's blubber and the stench from the antidote hadn't done already. Bleh.

Doughnuts returned to her workstation, Nia headed to get the other ingredients. She ticked them off the list she'd copied onto her parchment as she lined them up in order on her desk. Nothing like being organised when it came to potions brewing.

Hmm, that was a lot of ingredients. Then again though, the last few potions they had included a lot of ingredients, so she shouldn't have been all that surprised. What really did surprise her though were the ingredients of sea serpent venom and veela hair. She had nooooo clue why those two were needed.

Smiling at Josh as she stood up, the dark haired Slytherin moved first to the table by the ingredient cupboard to retrieve the, Krispe Kremes with a K she realized. That's what a doughnut was? Little, round things. Eesh, she could smell the sweetness from where she stood. Ew. However, she picked up 6 of them anyways, having a slightly hard time carrying them to the table without getting her hands all sticky.

After cleaning her hands however, she moved back up to the ingredient cupboard and gathered as many of the ingredients as she could before carrying them back to her table once more. Twice, she had to do this so she wouldn't drop anything. Last but not least though, the veela hair. Of course, she had seen veela's before, but never actually touched their hair. And why would she?

Taking a strand, she stared at it for a moment before moving back to her seat. The last thing. Finally. Placing it gently down, Evelyn organized all the ingredients to how they are listed on the board so she knew which was what before writing everything needed down in her notebook.

Kylie had been sitting attentively, as always. Looking at the potion ingredients no the board... she felt a little twitch of nervousness. What WAS a Re'em? Maybe she should pay more attention to Care of Magical Creatures... Or maybe she should go to CoMC...

Right. She had to keep focused. She took out her notebook and quickly took down some notes.



She then quietly walked to receive her ingredients. After double checking, making sure he had EXACTLY what she needed (and the right amount of each) she took her seat and began arranging all of her ingredients. She took a rag out of her bag and wiped clean the space around her cauldron and the top of her cauldron.

Always nice to have a clean work space.

Patroclus made his way to the front of the room, and collected six of the Doughnuts, He was not hungry at the moment so he would refrain from taking a seventh. Placing the sweet cakes at his table, he head to the rear of the room, and found after a few minutes the ingredients need for the fattening potion.
Placing them next to the Krispy Kreme's Patroclus starred at the Veela hair, its inclusion had him a little befuddled, beauty was rarely mentioned when discussing fat!

Fattening Potion


Ingredients:

• 1 gallon of Troll Blubber
• 1 Bicorn Horn
• 6 Krispe Kreme
• 3 Puffer fish eyes
• 10 drops of insuline
• 1 Fluxweed plant
• 500mls of bubotuber slime
• 8 horned slugs
• 5 Tubeworms
• 3 drops of Re'em blood
• 1 bottle of butterbeer
• 1 drop of sea serpent venom
• 1 strand of veela hair
• chocolate or any type of candy to taste.

After the instructions Dianna quickly got out from her seat and went towards the professor's table. She got seven doughnuts and strand of veela hair and returned to her table. After placing the items she gathered the rest from the cupboard and returned to her seat.

Lucy was all very excited to make the potion it was really making her feel fat now on. She heard Professor giving out the details and wrote them down in her notebook.



She went forward towards the Professor and took seven Doughnuts, six for the potion and one for herself as she couldn’t control herself from eating them.

Cedric still could not believe his eyes. Was that really Professor Lafay in front of the class, smiling? He thought that she wouldn't be back anymore, like they would have another Potions professor and all but obviously Professor Lafay still had the title 'Potions Mistress'.

Well, if she would smile all the time, would not talk to students in a rude scary way , and would merrily teach them without setting someone on fire, then he would very much love her.

He smiled meekly in their professor's direction as if she was smiling back at him. Then as was directioned by the professor, he vigorously went to the ingredient's table, retrieved his ingredients, took 7 yummy-looking Krispe Kremes, and walked into his table with a satisfied smile plastered on his face.

Now to work on his potion.

Hmmm. Doughnuts? She didn't atually know what they were, but they sounded pretty good. Really goood. Anni got up and headed for the desk, picking up all her ingredients, includin the seven Krispe Kremes. She walked back and placed them all on her desk, and then picked up a doughnut. Taking a tiny little bite, she tested it. Yum! She took snother bite, and then another, and another, and then... gone. Pout.

Simon looked at the Professor as he thought about things, he then got up and got all the ingredience that the Professor told him to get, he then went and sat back down at his table and waited for the Professor to tell him what to do next.

Honestly. Had the woman even listened to him? Had she even listened to herself? Her comment hadn't been about whether or not he was right. She'd accused him of putting down a classmate, which he had decidedly NOT done. And it had never before been a crime to speak you opinion on someone else's answer. Apparently it was, now.

Obviously there was no point in talking to such a ridiculous person, Head of House or not. He eyed the late arrival and her chatter partner with a slight annoyance; it was a lovely side effect of this class apparently, annoyance. If he hadn't been worried she'd go all out and KILL someone this time, he wouldn't have come at all and spared himself the experience.

...donuts? Really. And a specific brand, no less? Skepticism written on his face, the prefect nonetheless collected his ingredients. He would not, however, eat one of those... krispy whatsits. Merlin only knew what she could have done to them beforehand. Dumping the things on his table, he sat silently and sorted them out.

He'd never heard of troll blubber being a viable potions ingredient. And it was a bit disturbing that she found it 'tasty'. Then again, she probably also enjoyed the tears of children. Strange tastes, that one.

Jack got up from his seat and collected his ingredients. He sat back down and organised his ingredients so he knew how much there were and they were easy to reach. When he was finished he waited until the Professor gave them more instructions.

o_O Did Lafay just... wink at him? First he was pretty and now... Gulp. Oliver's eyes widened before he averted them, rather quickly, from the professor to his parchment where he began to write notes. Rather nonsensical ones, but at least it was a distraction.

He felt Trixie shuffling closer to him and it was like deja vu of last lesson with Diggy. Why did people always choose HIM to hide behind? He had no flesh on his bones, there was very little to actually hide behind... though that would change soon of course. Heh heh. He eyed the girl for a moment - she looked reh-heally anxious. “You ok?” He asked her in a whisper. Lafay, so far, was being a lot nicer than in previous lessons.. or so Oliver thought. “Come on.. this'll be fun.” He smirked. “Have you never wondered what you would look like as a fat heifer?” He puffed out his cheeks, then grinned at Trix. Now, question was, were they allowed to stay fat for a week? Cameron would just lurrrve that, wouldn't she? Or... maybe she wasn't that shallow. Yeah. Right. He'd love to see the look on her face. Snicker.

He quickly jotted down the ingredients in his illegible scrawl:

He got up to get the ingredients from the potions cupboard and returned to his desk his his arms full. (Ew.. troll blubber. They actually had to drink this crap? Retch.) Then off he went again to get the strand of Veela hair from Lafay's desk and seven of those Krispe Kremes things from the table by the potions cupboard. They looked yummeh.

Eyeing the pile of things on his desk, he was rather worried about the amount of sugar this potion contained. Would it send him hyper!crazy? Butterbeer usually did without the other sugary things on top of it. He bit his cheek and re-read the ingredients. The insulin should counter the effects of the sugar, right? Merlin, this potion did sound like it was a bit risky. He looked up at Lafay and watched her for a few moments – no doubt she knew what she was doing. She was a professor and, although her methods weren't exactly.. modern, she would never let any of them come to real harm he was sure.

Eli was getting impatient with Ellie not passing his note (as far as he saw) quickly enough. He picked up his quill and wrote the ingredients of the potion into his journal, then wrote a new note for the prefects:

He folded it down tiny and then got up. On the pretense of having forgotten an ingredient, and also because he had managed to eat all seven of his crispy-creme dough-nuts, he walked to the back of the room, pausing by Gold's desk. He pretended to pause and tie his shoe, then dropped the tiny note on the desk between Gold and the Slytherin Prefect when he was pretty sure the professor was not looking. He walked to the back counter and picked up a couple of dough-nuts and then started walking back toward his desk sloooowly, pausing to tie his OTHER shoe by Gold and the Prefect's desk, hoping to talk to them.

woo, dougnuts, had professor had a personality transplant or something, but, deciding to take advantage of the niceness, Amy jogged up to the desk and grabbed the dougnuts and the rest of the ingridients, then once she was back at her bench she began to scribble down the ingridients in her potions notebook

Ivory gazed down bewildered at the list she'd copied down in her leather bound Potion's journal. The ingredients glared up at her in shiny black ink as if daring her to try and pretend they weren't there.

Could this be right? One gallon of Troll blubber? One gallon? And half a liter of slime? Along with a dozen other things? Staring at her cauldron, she gazed at all the ingredients again and wondered if it would all fit in there. It was standard size as every one else's but truth be told what if most of that gallon didn't evaporate to leave behind just the utter fatty acids, what if the cauldron just overflowed? Was it a secret plot? To make sure they all messed up and she'd have reason to punish them in whatever way she'd see fit?

Looking up to Professor Lafay's calm and confident demeanor, Ivory expelled a breath. No. No, she wouldn't. She was a professor and learning came first...right?

Determined to give the Professor the benefit of the doubt, Ivory grabbed the tray she always brought to this class and made her way with her journal to the Potion stores in the back of the room waiting her turn to collect what they all needed.

Librana quickly wrote down the ingredients and smiled. She gathered the ingredients and looked into her cauldron. Sure, it should fit.
