3 - Tubby Potion http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...deathp-1-1.jpg Hecate finished brewing the potion to antidote today's class. The cauldron was bubbling and emitting a nasty smell that made your mouth just want to pucker. She took in the scent and nodded knowing it was perfect. Not that she had any doubts. Hecate was always attentive and a perfectionist when brewing potions. Today she wished she had some sort of recording device. This would be fun. She opened the class door and waited for the students. |
It didn't take long for Evelyn to get to the potions classroom since she was in the dungeons already, but she did however, take her time slightly when walking down the corridors. Her eyes itched horribly, and it didn't help that she couldn't get the color to go back to their original light hazel. She was stuck with her black eyes. But it wasn't the reason she was walking so slow. She had heard rumors of Lafay quitting, but then she also had heard she came back? She didn't know which to believe, and she actually didn't know whether to be happy or upset about the situation either. Covering her nose, already smelling something awful, she quietly coughed when entering the room, looking for the source of the horrible smell. Ew, no it was worse breathing it through her mouth. Letting her hand drop to her side, and trying to get the taste out of her mouth, she moved to the side only to stop rather suddenly. Someone was already there. "Professor...Lafay?" So she WAS back! Out of no where, Evelyn reached up to touch her head. Yup, hair was still there. Good. "Good day Professor." she mumbled softly before quietly moving to a seat somewhere in the middle to the right side of the room. Meep! Lafay was still teaching. |

The purple-haired first year wanted to turn on his heel and beat feet out of the classroom. But he was afraid that that would inflame (haha, get it?) the professor's temper. So, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, he took a seat at the veeeerrrrry back of the class, slouching down low so as not to be noticed. Even from the back of the class, the smell from the cauldron at the front of the room was to-gag-for. Sour and nasty. Eli kind of covered his nose and mouth with the sleeve of his work robes. It had the added benefit of hiding some of his face; maybe that would help him go unnoticed by LaFlame so he could make it through the class without being char-broiled. |

Chotto. Raiden paused in the hall just outside the classroom, eyeing the doorway suspiciously. He'd heard she'd charmed it for her last class... so it was possible she'd done the same today. However, one thing could be said for the potions professor. While she was consistent in doing things, sometimes traumatic things, to students against their will, she'd hardly proved to be repetitive. So, cautiously, he stepped through, and into a classroom he had no desire to be in. Casting a glance at Lafay, he half-inclined his head before claiming a seat semi-close to the front. Didn't want to be too far away when she started traumatising students again. The prefect didn't even pause to wonder what stench was permeating the classroom. Somehow, he'd come to expect foul smells in this room. |

Everything else on the other hand, has been disastrous. Which somehow reminded her, was she going to be learning how to make that potion? She didn't get a chance to ask though since...the rumors and all. Quote:
Haha! Oh, dear Merlin. The purple haired kid that took the hammer in Muggle Studies. How can she resist? Changing her direction in seats, Evelyn took a table right next to the Ravie's and set her bag down. Mmhmm. Nothing suspicious about that. *queue the smirk* |
Sweet Merlin! Destiny had forgotten how much she enjoyed potion's. It took class to be cancelled for her to realize this, and even though Lafay was back and teaching the class, a cheesy smile was plastered onto her face.. ..until she saw that purple haired boy from Muggle Studies sitting way in the back of class. She narrowed her eyes at him, and it seemed Evelyn had the right idea about sitting close to him. Who knew what he would steal from this class! "Hullo Professor!" she greeted as she made her way to sit next to Evelyn. Would it be wrong to welcome the Professor back? |
Daniel entered the doors to the potions lab and then pinched his nose and frowned when he smelled that nasty odor. "Hello, Professor. It's... uhm... a lovely day today." he tried giving a smile out of the nasty smell. |

Eli stiffened as the Slytherin girl sat next to him. She was fully a head taller than he was. Maybe it was a coincidence, and she didn't recognize him? He snuck a sidelong glance at her. She was smirking at him. Uh-oh. She recognized him, all right. And he couldn't really change seats without drawing LaFlame's attention. He was cornered. Quote:
Oh, yeeps. He was doomed! In the class he was worst at, likely to be grilled quite literally at any moment by Professor LaFlame, and sitting next to his Slytherin torturers. This was a great environment for learning, yup yup yup. He wished mightily for Ellie. Ellie would protect him. |

Peaking in the door she sees Profedsdor Lafay. What was she doing there? Crap, now she really didn't want to be here. She also sees Destiny and Evelyn are already there along with Raiden. Good, she would sit next to him. He would protect her from the crazy professor... right? Then she noticed who the girls were sitting by, the crazy purple haired boy from Muggle Studies. Hmmm, maybe she would sit next to him instead of Raiden... you know so he doesn't try to steal some potioins ingredients or something. Looking from Raiden to thief boy she moves towards the thief and plops down in a seat right next to him. "Hello there little boy, got anything interesting in your bag today?" she asked with an evil grin. 'You know, like a hammer she could smash his hands with if he tries stealing anything else. |

The girl spoke to him. 'Anything interesting'? What in Merlin's name would he have? Your FACE he thought nonsensically. Yeah, smarting off to the snakes would be a great idea. He shook his head vigorously, mute. But maybe that wasn't enough. "Potions stuff?" he squeaked. Grand. Now he was going to get fried for talking in class, all because of the snakes. He should'a skivved off the class again. Should'a should'a should'a. |
Dianna entered the Potions Classroom just to find herself wanting to vomit. Of course she tried not to show this and just sat in her seat. Oh, the professor's back. "Erm.. H-Hello Professor...." she managed to mumble. |
Aha, it was time for Potions again! Nia looked round for anything suspicious fro outside the classroom, and deciding it was all clear, entered the room. A frown flickered across her face as she saw who was at the front of the room. Lafay?! Hadn't she like, gone?! Evidently not. Ah well, the Captain had survived the two previous lessons, and was actually quite good at the subject, so no need to worry...yet. She did instinctively touch her head though, to check her hair was safe, and gave a glance over the rest of her general appearance. To check that she was still fundamentally the same as she was outside in the dungeon corridor. With that complete, Nia wrinkled her nose. Eurgh...what was that smell? And was it being emitting from the front cauldron? Ewww. On that account, she took a seat in the middle. Not far from the Slythie Prefect in fact. |
Walking into the Potions class room was a little scary. The Professor had come back and Kay really didn't want to know why she left. Walking to a work station, she started to put out her things. Looking up to see that the Professor wasn't talking now she said hello. "Good Day Professor Lafay. I hope you are well." She said with a smile. She really like potions and class had been very..well...different this year. Sitting at her station she continued to get ready for the class. |
Jackie walks into potions class. She was sort of excited for potions considering that it had been cancelled for awhile due to Professor Lafay resigning. "Hello Professor Lafay," she says with a smile. |
Potions. Right. Miranda couldn't care less right now. If there was a spell that would make her butt and face chance places, she would just go with it. There had been too many weird things happening in this school that it was just not worth the trouble to get all panicky. She had more important things to worry about. No doubt it had nothing to do with the blarfing smell in here today. "Good day, Professor Lafay." She smiled, albeit a bit fake and tiredly, and wandered over to take seat. |
Emma smiled as she came into Potions. "Good day Professor Lafay!" she exclaimed happily. She then smelt a horrible smell. Yuck! she thought. She tried to get it out of her mouth and nose. Nope wasn't working!, she thought. She gave up and took her usual seat, putting all her school stuff out on the table. |
Ewweee!.. what was that stench!? Screwing up his face, Oliver wandered into the potions classroom. The smell may be bah-haad, but the Slytherin was relieved that he still had his mop of hair on top his head; and that wasn't he on fire! “Hello, Professor.” He greeted Lafay with a nod. Pleasant, pleasant.. they were giving the woman the benefit of the doubt.. and in all honesty, Oliver probably learned more in her classes than any other. Scare tactics, it seemed, worked. He nodded at Raiden and smiled at Kay before taking a seat next to a indifferent looking Miranda. A forced expression on her face perhaps. “Hey.” He said quietly before retrieving parchment and a quill from his bag. |
Trixie walked into potions but sort of froze at the door. Lafay? That woman scared her. Well people had said things about her and memory lose naive Trixie believed most of them. So as soon as she walked in she faked smiled. "Good morning Professor" she said before looking around for someone to sit with. Oliver. Well at least there was someone. And he was sat with Miranda, one of the people in her Astronomy group. Well at least they were older and well, she felt safer. So she sat next to them and smiled weakly. "Err...Hey" she said not taking her eyes off of Lafay. |
Raiden <3 Text Cut: Rai ^_^ Well. She was here. Obviously. Gold hadn't sided against Professor Lafay, when a lot of other people had. Yes, she was against the woman setting students on fire. Of course she was. She could very well imagine the trauma that must have meant, for those unfortunate few. But she also found Professor Lafay someone who wasn't as cold as she appeared to be. Maybe even a mini Professor Kazimeriz - though of course, no one could replace Professor Kazimeriz, not even be really like him -- and he had cared, really cared, and he could have done anything for his students, even sacrificed himself. Gold bit her lip as she thought of that. Of him. Of the letter that had been delivered to her earlier. The letter from Professor Kazimeriz. She liked to hug the envelope. It was her teddy bear. "Good day, Professor Lafay," she said quietly, as her gaze landed on Raiden. "Hey," she said, as she slid into a seat beside him. She hadn't expected him to be here. Then again, a lot of things had changed in the past week. Such as the Slytherin Head of House. Lots of chaos and drama. Gold didn't like all that. |
Patroclus entered the Potions Dungeon, and instantly he saw that the rumours and rushed whispers were true, Lafay had indeed returned. But Patroclus was not at all angry at this, in fact this year had been a good one for him and potions, He had began to develop a real knack for the subject, and that must in part be attributed to his Professor he thought. Sure her methods were unorthodox, and perhaps a little too bold, but besides the setting kids on fire part, Lafay was pretty good at her job. "Morning Professor," Patroclus smiled, as he scanned the room for someone to sit with. |
Droo, Maxie, and Amy! <333 Chris was suprised that he had even come down to the Dungeons this morning. After his accidental absense of the first Potions Lesson of the term, he had actually been terrified to come to one of them, for fear of being burned...or worse dentention! *shiver* Anyways after a second glance at the small amount of rubies in the Gryffindor Hourglass compared to the other Houses' points total made him realize he would have to stick out whatever the lesson held for him, for the better of Gryffindor House. He walked into the dark and dank dungeon and a terrible smell filled his nostrils making them burn slightly. Well at least the smell was appropriate. "Good morning Professor. How are you today?" the Head Boy said hoping that she hadn't noticed it was his first lesson. Looking around for someone to sit with he noticed the bright hair of his girlfriend, Gold, at least making that little space of this room somewhat nice. He went down and plopped in the chair next to her. "Good morning Awesome!Gold. Oh and Raiden!" he chuckled. He hadn't seen the Sytherin Prefect there at first. He was kind of sorry for all the crap that was going on in Slytherin House at the moment but they at least had the points. |
Oooh, potions! Anni had wondered what this lesson would be like, and she'd heard quite a bit about Lafy, the proffessor. Hopefully there would be no hair loss this lesson. Eeeeep. Anni loved her hair. It was red, bright, and frankly, awesome. 'Hey, Proffessor' she said casually as she took a seat near the back. Well, she wasn't sitting near the front! She smiled a little at the small purple-haired boy next to her as she grabbed her black skull-patterned bag and took out her stuff. |
Alexandrie walked into the third Potion lesson this term. She glanced around nodding at the Professor respectfully before sitting in the same spot as last time. She hoped Zane didn't make himself late for this class, Lafay didn't like people late. Alex pulled out a piece of parchment along with her quill and ink for notes waiting for the Professor to start. |

"Pssst!" Eli hissed to the Gryffindor prefect as she sat a few rows ahead of him. "Hey, red!" he used his wand to do one of the few spells he'd mastered. "Wingardium leviosa!" he pointed it at her braided hair, hoping that it would levitate and tug on her braid and that would get her attention so he could ask her to sit next to him (in the free seat, as the other seat was occupied by the angry she-snakes. For the moment he had forgotten LaFlame entirely. Maybe this wasn\'t the best plan, but he was a desperate man! |
