Carter laughed and shook his head. "I'm not sure if anything you just said was true." he said running a hand through his hair. He could feel a slight heat sneaking toward his cheeks. "So are things good for you..?" he asked. He didn't want to mention Nate directly.

She watched Carter blush and chuckled into her sleeve. She didn't want to embarrass him, but she could tell that teasing him like that was pret-ty funny. She had to do it some more, because this was precious stuff. She looked up at him and immediately understood what he was trying to say. She slowed herself done a bit and relaxed herself into it as well. "Yeah, I've been better, I guess." She sighed and tousled around her hair, then finally admitted to him, head down, "It really hurts to think of him though, sometimes. It was my first real relationship with anyone.. but I guess it had to end sometime." While she was telling him things, she had to tell him about the whole Kylie-Cadence thing. That was something he really had to know.

He understood that all to well. "Yeah mom cut us off a few years back. We were getting a bit batty with all the sugar and it was driving her crazy." He got serious and straightened himself up. "But we are allowed some sugar in moderation." he mimicked his mother's voice with a giggle.
He grew quiet. He didn't know anything about Oliver's mother, but it seemed to be a sore subject for Oliver and though Diggy wanted to know about her he didn't want to upset Oliver in the process. "Oh alright," he told him dropping the subject. After all Diggy wasn't a stranger to getting defensive about his family.
Diggy tilted his head at the face Oliver made. He didn't understand why he was making that face. "I mean I don't have to put in a good word for you. Granddad knows who you are, and he's not a prat like my grandmother." he explained. His grandmother Afia wasn't well liked in the Greenwood household, she didn't like Nathan, his father and to Diggy and his siblings that was unforgivable. "Its not problem for you to get a broom mate. All I mean is you don't have to use me as a middle man. But I will get one for you if you don't want to talk to my granddad. Its really not a problem." He didn't want Oliver to think he was unwilling to get him a broom. Diggy didn't care about the broom. He could buy Oliver one, Diggy just wanted him to know that Oliver didn't have to bother with Diggy to get a broom. Dillon's granddad was more than happy to outfit Oliver with a new broom.
Oliver chuckled at Dillon's impression of his sister-in-law. It was pretty good. Oliver was pretty good at staying away from sugar – it tended to make him a bit potty thanks to his condition. The odd bar of chocolate.. or cookie didn't hurt but butterbeer drove him insane. He was twitchy and hyper enough without adding to it. Though.. he did sometimes put it on for his dad's benefit.. pretend he's been at the sugar just to annoy the man. It wasn't hard to do. hehe!
Pleased by Diggy's end to the subject of his mother, he smiled gratefully. The subject was awkward and made Oliver feel ashamed. He felt to blame - that he drove her away with his... annoyingness. Even if it weren't true, that was how he felt.
He got up out of his chair and wandered over to the fridge(?) to help himself to a glass of milk. He returned and sat, sipping at it and munching on his cookie as Dillon spoke. He raised an eyebrow... “Yeah, Afia is a prat.” He muttered in agreement... though Oliver had never met her because of her beliefs, and because of Emmanuel's shame that he had a half muggle for a son... but he got that impression from what he had heard.
He shook his head. “No. Please, Digz.. forget it, mate. I can owl him myself.. or maybe I'll get lucky at Christmas, eh?” He winked and smirked. He could lay it on thick with Ems.. she was a softie about family and now that she was a trainee Auror she earned a fair wage for someone living at home. “You got any ideas what you're going to ask for?” He asked the younger boy.

All this when she was just this young.. drama was actually kind of fun. Ella chuckled and said, "And thank you for that too. You're so supportive. Just.. thanks for being there for me."

"I guess so." Ziva shrugged. "Oh, and Asher got me yet another pet, a dog this time. I don't know where the cat went that he gave me when we got home." Ziva said pushing one more picture towards him.
