The house elves are hard at work preparing your next meal but, they're always willing to prepare an after-hours snack to those students who are brave enough to tickle the pear and enter the kitchens.
Lucy giggled as he tried to lick the frosting off his nose. What a useless attempt! No one could lick their nose unless they had a super long tongue! But then Ty decided that pink was totally her color and put a glob of pink frosting on her face. She shrieked and then laughed, licking some off of her face with her finger. “Mmmm!” She said and then took out her wand. “Tergeo!” And the frosting disappeared. “Ah, come one let’s finish this cake before I eat the frosting!” She said as she dipped her finger into the tub and took a huge glob out. Licking her finger again, went over to a random cabinet, hoping to find sprinkles. She finally found some red sprinkles and brought them over to the Ty, along with the candles. “Thirteen candles for the birthday girl,” She said as she started counting out the candles.
"They grow up so fast," Tyler chuckled and his bangs fell to his face. Sad thing was Kat was looking more like her mom everyday. Tyler really liked Katalina, she had been the one who got him into soccer. So now Tyler totures his brother by playing soccer. Good times. "Looks like it's done," he smiled as he sprinkled the last of the cake. "Let's head upstairs," he said, grabbed the cake and led Luce out of the kitchen.
BYE BYE, EVILLLLL SPIDERS!

Cadence giggled at her friend's toast. "Okay, okay. Fine... be humble. To Hufflepuff and good health! AND to best friends!" she ate her delicious chocolate covered strawberry. They sat in silence for a few minutes, just eating their strawberries. mm, mm, good! After awhile, Cadence realized there was something she hadn't told Melanie yet, but she wasn't quite sure how to bring it up. "So, um, Lanie, what are you doing for holiday break? Are you going home?"Yes, we'll start by asking her before telling her I'm spending Christmas in a different country with my boyfriend.
Melanie smiled at Cadence's additions, sitting there, munching on her strawberries contently in silence for a few moments. Silence...could be good. It wasn't something you came across often at Hogwarts, so Melanie took advantage of it, sitting there and thinking, about everything and anything.
That was she did until Cadence spoke up anyway. Melanie peered over at her, a small smile spreading across her face. "I'm stayin' here, for sure." Melanie informed her confidently. Her dad wasn't paying for a plane ticket to go back to NYC and frankly, she didn't really want to go. she loved her dad and her brother too, but she wanted to stay right where she was for the holiday season. "You?" she asked Cadence, almost sure of her answer before she asked it.

Cadence stuffed a bite of strawberry in her mouth to avoid answering for a few more seconds. "Oh, Nate asked me to go to Florida with him to stay with his grandma, and I said yes." She just chewed thoughtfully for a few moments and then said, "I've never been to America before. It will be weird to not have snow on Christmas." She dipped another strawberry in chocolate and let it cool for a moment before biting in it, waiting for Lanie to say something. What would she think of Cadence spending the holidays with Nate in Florida?

Sapphyre looked around the Kitchen and back to Kay before taking her hand. "Sapphyre Edwige Castalia Malfoy Black," she replied, taking a breath after her name. "But my friends call me Phyre." She poured herself and Kaytone a cup of tea each, fixing hers up with milk and two cubes of sugar.
Kay smiled when Phyre said her full name. She had not went that far. People didn't have to know that her real last was Potter not evans. Tell people that Kaytone Lily Evans Morgaina Pottor was just to much. Taking the tea, she sat it down on the table. "Thank you for the tea. So are you sure you want to talk here? The wall have ears you know." Kay said picking up her tea. She drank some of it and waited for and answer before she would start. If there was someone who wanted Voldemort back, this wouldn't be good.

"This is fine," Phyre said, sipping her tea. "The House Elves won't tell, and most people wouldn't pay attention to two friends having a little tea party. It's fine to talk here..." And she'd make sure anyone who overheard wouldn't tell. Ever.
Diggy sat contently in front of the fire with a full belly and some awesome dessert. He was happy and he wasn't going to let Oliver ruin that with one of his insensitive questions. Diggy knew he emotions had been boiling right under the surface, but he couldn't help that. He was separated from his twin for the first time in his life, he father had left them without so much as a note, and his mother was the on the verge of another break down. Who could blame him?
He shook his head and giggled. "That's the fun in Bertie Beans though. Its always a surprise." Him and Pais were the only two who liked that candy. His dad would run from a bag of the stuff. Though Diggy avoided all the red ones in case it was tomato or ketchup flavored. "I play but not serious like Paris and Lucas. But I do want to work for Riddle Broom and Company." he explained. "I mean Quidditch is more fun for me, I just don't have the discipline to play on a team or anything." he shrugged. He wouldn't have done good on the house team. He didn't have the attention span for the practices and things like that. he would have done more harm then good on that team.
Oliver grinned and crinkled his nose. Only his half-brother Liam ate the things in his household. Emily was always on some diet or another so she avoided sweets and chocolate and cake and shizz. The girl was naturally like a stick insect so he didn't know why she bothered. To get into the latest Riddle twins creation no doubt.
“My mum worked in a wizard sweet shop in Glasgow when I was a kid. She was so addicted to Bertie Botts.” He smiled fondly. She used to have a stash of sweets in a top kitchen cupboard where she thought Oliver neither knew about, nor could reach if he did. Course she was wrong on both counts. The twitchy boy, who was even twitchier when he was a wee bairn, knew and would climb up on a regular basis and help himself to the stash of chocolate. All that sugar and E numbers in his system did nothing for his ADHD and he would end up running around and smacking into things. One day, he pinched a Botts bean and plopped it into his mouth. He fell down injuring his head and breaking his arm when the shock of something so disgusting he didn't even know what is was filled his mouth. He had associated the beans with pain ever since and avoided them them like the plague.
He rubbed at the back of his head at this memory and smiled at Dillon as he listened to him talk of Quidditch and brooms. “You reckon...” He tilted his head to the side as he looked at Dillon – a innate habit he had when he wanted something from someone. “There's any chance I could get a new broom?” Cos Oliver had a slow broom which served the purpose playing Beater and he did love it... but now he was a Chaser; he needed something a lot faster if he was to compete against Miranda the other teams. Paris had that amazing customised broom... and Oliver, even if it was only by a half, was family too, right? He didn't ask for much in life from his 'other' (inverted commas) family.

NOOOOOOOO. Not Allowed. No. No. NO.
Stupid Nate.
Melanie just stared at her mouth parted slightly, looking absolutely dumbstruck, for a few seconds. She'd thought Cadence was going to stay at Hogwarts. Then again, she'd figured her only other alternative was her Grandparents... And Melanie knew better than anyone what Cadence thought of her Grandparents.
"Oh-Okay." Melanie replied quietly, squishing an innocent strawberry. That was all she said. She wasn't going to tell her not to go. And Melanie certainly wasn't going to act affected or anything to keep her from going. So she just sat there...
...squishin' that strawberry to an untimely death.
"This is fine," Phyre said, sipping her tea. "The House Elves won't tell, and most people wouldn't pay attention to two friends having a little tea party. It's fine to talk here..." And she'd make sure anyone who overheard wouldn't tell. Ever.
"Alright then. Let's start by you telling me who this person is who thinks Voldemort should still be around?" Kay asked drinking her tea.

Cadence just looked at the table in an awkward silence. She tucked her hair behind her ear nervously. Melanie was not happy about this, and Cadence had no idea what to say. Or why Melanie was really even upset. Was it because she was going to miss Cady? Did she not approve of Nate? Did she not trust Nate to look after Cady? There were so many questions racing through her head. She picked up a strawberry and then set it back down, not hungry anymore.
The awkwardness intensified to a breaking point. Cadence opened her mouth several times in an attempt to speak, but she had absolutely no idea what to say. Finally, she quietly said, "He's going to take me to Disney World." Okay that was awkward... and random. This was weird. Things were never awkward with Lanie...

Yeah...I think she might be being a little... dramatic. >.< Bad Melanie. Baaaaaad.
Baht-ley - The Sweetest - TEAM 947!
Oh yes. That totally made it better. She didn't get to spend Christmas with Cadence... but it was all good because she also didn't get to go to Disney land either. Nate did!
Pout.
"That's wonderful. I hope you have fun eating Mickey Mouse Ice Cream and riding Dumbo the Elephant." Melanie said, in an almost monotonous voice, having difficulty not adding 'without me' at the end. She was trying to be a good... supportive, kind... best friend. She really was. She was just finding it rather difficult at the moment. Melanie gave Cadence a sort of half smile, and then stuffed the chocolate strawberry she'd been squishing in her mouth.
"I bet Nate has a whole vault at Gringott's filled with chocolate, too." Melanie murmured to herself, begrudgingly. And he's probably a millionaire. And a whiz at potions. AND secretly he's a professional chef...OH. Not to mention, he's probably as graceful as a ballerina!
Not that she'd actually exchanged more than two sentences with the boy.

Cadence tilted her head a little at what Melanie said. Dumbo? Mickey? What is this nonsense. "Who are Dumbo and Mickey?" Cadence obviously knew nothing about Muggle media even though she thought she did. Melanie was REALLY upset. Cadence had assumed she was going home for Christmas. Now Cady felt really bad...
"A vault filled with chocolate?!" Cadence said, in an amused voice. Did Lanie think Nate had tons of money? "Lanie, I don't think Nate's family even has a vault in Gringotts. They don't have much money..." she said in a quiet voice, looking back down at the table. Nate probably didn't want her telling people that, but Lanie would keep the secret.

Paris had that amazing customised broom... and Oliver, even if it was only by a half, was family too, right? He didn't ask for much in life from his 'other' (inverted commas) family.
Dillon's eyes twinkled. "That would have been brilliant. All the candy you could eat." he said dreamily. His mom had put a stop to all the endless candy the kids had been consuming. Though they weren't getting fat, the boys were always on a sugar high and JoJo going into a sugar shock and having to be put in the hospital was a wake up call for everyone. "Do you still see you mom?" he asked. He didn't know anything about Oliver's mom or that side of his family.
Diggy finished off the last of his cookies and downed the rest of his milk. It felt good to have a full belly and warm toes. She leaned back into the chair and wiggled his butt in to get totally comfortable. He was starting to like the Hogwarts kitchens. The food reminded him of his dad and although that made him sad and miss his dad more it made him smile. His dad was an awesome cook. He even let the kids cook sometimes, though Paris was the best cook by far. Willow couldn't boil a pot of water if her life depended on it. She usually had her heads in the clouds singing and doing ballet or working on a play or something.
He looked over at Oliver as he asked if he could get a new broom. "Why are you asking me?" Dillon asked him. It wasn't like he was in charge of brooms or something. Did he want Dillon to buy him one? It wasn't like Oliver was poor. "You have to go to Accra and get fitted for a custom one if you want one like Paris has." he told him. Paris had the latest Riddle creation the Jetstream. It outstripped the Firebolt on all accounts. "I mean granddad will give you one. It helps with publicity or something. Just owl him," he told him matter of factly. Oliver didn't have to ask him for the broom. "I would give you mine, but I'm working on some things with it, and it might be dangerous if you ride it and I've been messing with it." he told him honestly. And he didn't want to be responsible for hurting Olive because he rode on a broom Diggy had been messing with.

Oliver shrugged looking thoughtful. “Nah. I wasn't allowed any. I was hyper enough without adding to it with sugar.” Sugar used to drive Oliver potty and still did to an extent. He was better off without it.. but one cookie wasn't going to do any harm. Right? Right.
He swallowed, taken off guard by Dillon's question. Hadn't Nathan told them!? And Dillon thought he was insensitive! Sheesh. He figured the boy mustn't know because, really, if he did then the question was just plain mean! Oliver didn't let any emotion register on his face. “No.” he merely answered. “Haven't seen her for four years.” He shrugged indifferently and took another bite of his cookie.. though it didn't taste quite so sweet as before. And oh what fun it was living with a guardian who made it blatantly obvious to you and everyone else that you weren't wanted. No wonder Oliver was a twitchy little attention seeker.
He frowned a little when Dillon asked him why he was asking HIM for a broom! Wasn't he, like, a direct descendent of the bloke that made them? Emmanuel certainly wasn't going to dig in his pocket for a new broom for him. Quidditch team or not. Oliver made a face. “Thought you could put in a word for me.” Obviously that was too much effort. Owl Dillon's granddad? Oliver barely knew the man. He looked completely crest fallen. “Don't worry about it, Digz. I'll manage.” He waved his hand dismissively. Well.. it had been worth a go. Maybe he could steal Miranda's when she wasn't looking. Maybe... but she was quite observant that one – for a Huffie.
Carter laughed. "Do I ever go anywhere without?" he asked laughing.
"I have no idea." he said with a chuckle. "Umm... smart... athletic... fun... Why?"
"Great," Ella said, flashing him a toothy smile that usually only came out with the mention of soccer. "Football and soccer, then."
Ella shrugged, but smiled as he told her what he'd describe her with. "I wanted to know what kind of image I gave off, I guess. I wish I could see what I looked like from someone else's perspective, you know?"

"A good bit," Sapphyre muttered. "I don't know... I haven't done a poll, but if I find another, I might have to. She's vaguely related to Violet. She was on Marie's side of the argument that was settled recently, if you've heard about that. I don't believe she could be the most powerful... Not at all. Marilyn thanked Carter and sat in her proffered chair. The cheesecake was brought out immediately, along with some other ingredients they may have needed for their snack. I actually know how to make delicious cheesecake. Im quit fond of baking, to tell the truth.

"Actually, the kitchen back at my parents house has all muggle appliances. It's odd, I know...but my mother enjoys cooking, as well. It's more so theraputic than anything else." Marilyn smirked, reaching for the fresh strawberries. Nothing was better on cheesecake than that particular fruit...and bananas. Hmm.
"Did they bring any bananas out?"

Carter smirked. So they weren't against all things muggle. That was good. "That's cool. What's your mother like?" he asked. He realized she didn't mention her mother often, it was mostly her father she mentioned. And it was never a good mention.
Carter looked around for bananas. "Here they are." he said handing her the bowl. He then helped himself to some strawberries.

Marilyn frowned, taking the bananas that were being offered to her. "My mom's a classic pureblood society wife. She plans huge social events and hosts tea parties every week.
