Lettie took another sip of her juice, "I like Charms, Transfiguration, Muggle Studies and Magical Creatures. I have a skill for charms and since there are a lot of muggles that live nearby my family in Skye, I know a lot about muggles, at least I think so."

Lyra looked at her plate again and started to wish the food would just appear already! she sighed deciding after a few minutes that it wouldn't happen but then saw Lettie next to her drinking from a goblet "oi! where'd you get..." but as she looked at the table again she noticed that the goblets were all filled with drinks. "uh nevermind" she said and picked up a goblet and drank it , pumpkin juice she thought, she never had it but she did like it. She then looked around a litttle again, and looked next to the staff table where the house points were . Lyra turned to Lettie "hey, is it just me or does Gryffindor have some rubies out of their hourglass?" she asked and looked again.

Grace too had realised the loss of Gryffindor. She remembered her cousins words that teachers were so impatient and punished students easily. Raven walked in to the great hall, taking in the four large tables and then looked up at the enchanted roof, she'd been told about it but tales didn't do it justice. She had always had a great facination for the stars and such even if it was just enchanted as it was now. Taring her eyes away from the roof she looked to tne staff table.

After being sorted she walked proudly down to the Slytherin table looking over all the people sitting there she went over to a vacant spot asking "Hi, can I sit with you guys?"

Her voice kind of trailed off as she considered some things. Turning slightly red in the face, he answers "No, I'm just really tall." adding a small chuckle, "close though, I'm a fifth year." "Really! Well I'm from just outside of Trondheim. The school was very strict, and had severe punishments unfortunately. We were trained well, and learned to respect authority within minutes of beginning school there. glancing at the staff table, he shivers a little "I'm a little afraid to see what kind of punishments they have here..." I was surprised to hear that they used wands here, I thought it was just a myth that people used these small twigs...I'm afraid I might break it. he adds gently holding the wand in his fairly big hand.

"Ohh." She started to laugh a little bit and apologized, "Sorry, I'm not very good at telling a person's age." "Hope they didn't whip you or anything...that's considered cruel in my mind." She sipped her goblet that was only half full of juice now. "Respect authority. You sound like my grandfather." Leticia said with a grin, "He's a nice man, but he always insists that you have to respect your superiors. No matter how wrong you think they are I guess." Her head tilted to the side slightly, "Well, I'm sure that the punishment here is nothing like what you've experienced. From what I hear things are kept fairly civil...but I don't know firsthand, I only know from word of mouth." She shrugged it off as though it were nothing. "I'd be afraid to use a staff. I'd probably knock myself out with it or just use it as a club." Lettie wasn't very coordinated, anyone who knew her was aware of that fact by now. "I don't think you'll break it. I think they are charmed by the creator to withstand certain pressure from the holder, that way if a grip gets too strong, the wand won't snap in half during a duel or something. That's what I remember reading at least." "What are you looking forward to for this year? I'm excited about a lot, but mostly about being able to experience new things and go to a real school."
