Plastering on a cheerful smile at the professor's request she accepted the offered net and climbed onto her desk. Not that she thought it was a particularly good idea. In fact the last thing she climbed up on, she fell off, and this was even higher off the ground. But she would at least seem cheerful about it, no need to give anyone even the inkling that she was being disrespectful to a teacher.

Catching Lasca's quizzical glance, she gave a small shrug in return. At least she wasn't the only one who found this to be odd. Listening to the others' answers about keeping the desks clean, she couldn't think of a better reason other than you're insane, but she wasn't going to voice that particular opinion. Instead she stayed silent, waiting for the next instruction.

Lasca listened as her classmates made their guesses. She had no idea so she thought it better to keep her thoughts to herself.

Whitney listened to the other answers and thought they were much better than hers. She just sounded like someone stating the obvious. Honestly,she had absolutely no idea why in the world they were bare-footed. It was uncomfortable though. If only she were a few inches shorter her feet wouldn't touch the floor. 'Think' If she thought hard enough,surely she'd come up with something.

Confused by the strange request, Lima stood barefoot on top of her desk. She was just as perplexed as everyone else and cast a look at Whitney. She winked at her and tried to think of a reason as to why she would be up there in the first place.

Nice view though, she thought as she looked down. So this was what it was like to be tall

Jake stuck his hand up. "Sir, maybe to prove that we trust you enough to take our shoes off without question, and this led to disaster at some points in history, though not necessarily with shoes, but trust.

An idea popped into Miranda' head, maybe it was stupid, but still you never knew. Hoping she wasn't abusing the times you could answer, she raised her hand.
"Sorry, um, professor, could it be that we should imagine we are walking on the grass running after butterflies?" she asked, eyeing the large nets they were handed.

"Hmmm, I suppose it does... or at least the environment contained within your shoes." Ethan agreed.

"That is true enough." Truebridge agreed.

Truebridge stared, "That... wasn't the answer I was looking for but I think I like yours better than mine."

"Are you uncomfortable?" Zan peered at the prefect curiously, "Good theory though."

"It is something to do with the nets, yes."

"Hmmm... I don't know, its a bit hard to tell from the pictures whether they wear shoes or not. But speculation about that will be welcome."

"You will have to show me your technique." Professor Truebridge responded with a straight face.

"Brilliant. Another answer better than my own. But please don't permanently attach yourself to the desks in your efforts to become one with it."


"It does and it does." Truebridge answered.

"All of you are right actually, It's for practical reasons; keep the desks clean, don't slip, better grip, better balance and the like." He paused and added, "And to feel the world at your feet and become... one with the desks."

He pulled out his wand, Loretta and levitated a sack from under his desk.

"I want all of you to catch one of these each. Then take a seat and have a look at what you get."

Professor Truebridge opened the sack and a whole bunch of chocolate frogs bounded out, seemingly faster and more agile than the average chocolate frog. A Famous witch or Wizard card was attached to the bottom of each card.

"Only one frog each please! And stay on your desks and in your own personal space! No popping each other's personal space bubbles with your nets either!" Ethan grinned and watched the frogs scatter everywhere.

An idea occured to Lasca, one that seemed rather unlikely but she was tired of just standing there. So the young Ravenclaw pipped up. "Perhaps, simply to get our minds going, or active, or...uummm." Okay so when she said it out loud her answer seemed rather stupid. Cursing inwardly she held her tongue and studied the floor.

Lyra stood with her bare toes wiggling about for freedom as she waited for the answer to come, any answer really because her feet were freezing at the moment. But at that moment, the professor unleashed a sack fullllll of CHOCOLATE FROGS! OMG! FOOOD!

Lyra looked to Anna as she knew the girl was a frog freak for chocolate, then turned her attention back to catching one of the frogs. "Got one!" she exclaimed as her fingers grasped at a jumping chocolate frog, almost setting itself loose but she was faster than the frog. She then took her seat to see just what card she got.

John saw a frog coming his way and thought this one is mine !
He roared as he jumped for the frog ..and then he found out he is no longer on his table and fell ...it wasnt too bad so he. Stood up and sat to see what card did he get ....

Rachel was getting more and more confused by the minute. She had removed her shoes and neatly placed them next to the chair; accepted the net from Cela and winked back at her remark and she still had no clue what the professor was going at. Climbing onto the desk, she wiggled her toes at the sudden chill that had passed through her. Well, does he mean besides the fact that we might catch a cold from freezing our toes of? she thought as she glanced down at her already blue toes. Then again; Dad always said that I have sensitive feet...
Blinking, she roughly shoved that thought away from her mind and concentrated on the lesson, still completely out of the game. Gah! I hate it when I don't know!

I will never doubt this BRILLIANT man ever again! Tobi vowed. AAAaah! Holy Flying Amphibians- A chocolate frog flew right at his face, and Tobi swung his net for it, but the intial panick didn't mix well with his reflexes, and his flailing did him no good.

He hit the frog with the edge of the net rather than catch it, sending it flying towards a first year on the other side of the room.

"Look out!" he called.

Kaitlynn smiled and then swung her net trying to catch a frog. She'd almost had one before it got away. She tried again and got one stuck in her net. She hopped down and took her seat, the frog firmly in her hands.

ZOMG! Chocolate frogs! Clifford's eyes glazed over when Professor Truebridge opened a sack and bazillions of chocolate frogs bounced around. Aaahh. It was like Heaven.

Concentrate! Clifford scolded himself and gave his head a shake. GRR. It was easy to get distracted around chocolate frogs. But he was a Prefect now! He had to set a good example. Right.

But - But ... drooooool.

"I wonder if we're allowed to eat it when we catch it." He whispered toward Evangeline, net at the ready. His Quidditch reflexes should come in handy now. YAY! If only they could catch more than one.

Whoa. She was actually correct with her "straight-from-left-field" answer? That was a pleasant surprise. Anna narrowed her eyes and watched as the professor levitated a sack from under his desk. When the chocolate frogs came bounding out of the bag, Anna eyed all of them suspiciously. Accepting chocolate frogs from others hadn't exactly brought her the best of luck in the past. Nevertheless, this was a new day and a new time; and Nico Toussaint was far from Hogwarts now-a-days. When a chocolate frog zoomed past her face, Anna blinked and focused on what she was actually supposed to be doing at the moment. She prepared herself, and when another frog came flying by, she reached out and caught it. Ohhh...hopefully she'd get a really awesome card to go with her candy.

He didn't have time to think of what an odd lesson this was until he caught a frog.

Jake watched as a frog got closer... closer... closer...

His plan was to dart his net down and catch it so it flew in. Carefully, he crouched down. Ready? Now.

His net went down and caught the back leg of the disgusting edible sweet. But then he spied another frog getting closer, choosing the same path as the first. This time... YES! He successfully caught the chocolate frog. Now he had to touch it to see the card.

Ew, chocolate. Jake lowered himself and took a seat, keeping an eye on those around him; they could fall at any given moment.

Freya watched as a bunch of chocolate frogs hopped around the room. 'Well, I'm guessing this is why we have nets...' She kneeled down on her desk and peered over the side...'Gotcha...' Freya watched as a chocolate frog hopped in front of her desk. Making a sweep with her own butterfly net, she managed to catch the frog as it again made a jump. Freya brought the net up to her eyes and took out the frog. "Got you." She said to it, knowing she probably looked crazy.

Vanessa had now decided she was rather glad that she was small. She didn't particuarly like standing on this desk. She was feeling a little dizzy, and she really hoped that she wouldn't fall off. That would be horrible. And it would probably hurt.
She stared at the Professor explained what they were going to do. She was standing on a desk to catch a chocolate frog. Maybe this would be a interesting way to get over her fear of heights.
Net clutched in hand, Vannie attempted to catch a chocolate fun. "oooh Yeah..I've go---orr not," She giggled, as she frog she was trying to catch did not end up in her net. Maybe this would be harder than she first thought.

"Umm, no," Cale replied when the professor asked if he was uncomfortable, blushing slightly. HE wasn't uncomfortable, but other people might be.

When he announced that they were to catch chocolate frogs without leaving their desks, Cale became a tad worried. Knowing his history of balance problems, he would most likely fall off, in very dramatic fashion, before he got his frog. Gulp. Looking nervously at his net, he waited until the frogs were released before he started swinging. What was WITH these frogs? It was like they had been charmed to be faster and hop higher than even normal, animal frogs. Gasping as he nearly toppled off his desk, he held out his arms and regained his balance before trying again. Waving his net wildly, he hoped and prayed he'd finally catch a frog without injuring himself or others. The nearest person to him was Anna, but he wasn't swinging so wildly that he would hit anyone.

Finally, he felt a soft thud in his net and a soft "ribbit" as he realized he had caught a frog. Actually, two had hopped into his net with his wild swinging. Taking one and tossing it gently on the floor, he watched it hop back into the action as he sat in his seat and opened the remaining frog to see what card he had gotten.

Reese watched as the choclate frogs came hopping out of the bag.Ohmygosh.It just had to be choclate.She looked around at all the choclate frogs as she waited for one to come hopping her way and when it did she walked over to the edge of the table and bent over to catch.Just then,she tumbled off the table and onto the grount with a thump! She raised up and rubbed her head.Ouch.She looked at her net and saw the choclate frog was in there.Yes,she caught on.She stood up from the ground and sat back down in her seat to see what card she had gotten.

Jack grinned evilly, chocolate, girly food, he swished his net a few times trying to get the frog, Jack decided to try one more time, finally! "Yes!" he gasped.

He curiously eyed the professor when he levitated a sack under his desk and wondered what was in it. More butterfly nets? Cam wasn't sure really. Oooh maybe there's treasure... or some food! Clapping his hands fast like a hyper child his head leaned closer so he could get a better view. A quiet girlish scream came out of his mouth when the professor opened a sack of... chocolate frogs. YUMMEH!

There was a frog coming at him, he'll get it for sure! Booya, he caught one in his net but bounced right back out. Bleh. Cam wasn't giving up though, they all looked soooo delicious. This was chaos. With his eyes half-closed in fear of getting hit he managed to catch one after a few minutes.

OOOH. A card with it. Maybe it's edible too!

Lasca smiled with excitement as chocolate frongs went in every direction. She watched as several went wizzing by her. One however caught her eye, and after a moment she scooped it up and into her net. Grasping the frog she brandished the card and studied it.
